Morning all from the UK. ICO is now live, block explorer problems seem to have been fixed - swing on over to Slack or drop a message here if you have any questions.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Incent: The first universal, merchant-backed loyalty platform on: September 30, 2016, 09:10:31 PM
Incent is structured in such a way that its value should rise in the medium-term, which might actually make it an attractive investment to hold for customers as well as a means of payment. In the short term, they understand that this is the deal, that the value may fluctuate somewhat (and is displayed in their app in fiat terms, as well as Incent), but that they received it as a 'gift' and so any fluctuation comes at zero risk to themselves.  Probably not all will be satisfied with this. But, like present loyalty points, they can always opt not to accept them if they don't like the idea.

I want to hear more developed answer. How it will be realized? How and at the expense of what its should rise?

Once the big whale sells in the market by 100000 INCENT one order which he received at a discount 140% during your pre-sale (example). The price falls for 240%, people buy it cheap at this time at the exchange. Then they come to my shop of the equipment, and they say we want a discount according to your loyalty program for our cheap INCENT.

And I bought INCENT and extended among the clients at the price much above that which became now. It means that I will incur losses.

Why to me to use such high risk asset in the loyalty programs?
This is important to know before invest.Early birds bonus is really high.some people already looking for partners to invest 50 BTC together with 1 transaction.there are some people who can afford even 500 BTC because Incent crowdfunding target is $5M,so we can expect so many big transaction.

This is a good question that deserves a longer answer.
Firstly, there are a relatively small number of early investors, who have a vested interest in the project succeeding (and not dumping the market). Secondly, coins with poor distribution are far more susceptible to pump and dump; coins with good distribution are far less vulnerable.
Thirdly, there will be a period before go-live with merchants where we can see how the market treats Incent and quirks of distribution can be worked out.
Fourthly, any fluctuations in the underlying market have to be seen in the context of additional and ongoing buy-pressure from merchants.
Lastly, BitScan will act as primary broker. They will serve a market-making function to add liquidity to the market and ensure orders are fulfilled.

No merchants incur losses: Incent is can be considered a form of parallel money. If the currency is worth less (which may happen, especially on the short-term timescale) you don't lose out. Customers could equally decide to spend the money elsewhere. This is actually one of the great strengths of Incent, that the merchants we've spoken to have loved: there's an up-front cost, but it's known and controllable. There's no forward liability, which is a problem with loyalty schemes as they currently exist.

Answer me these questions:

First question:
I have a retail network, I conduct accounts department in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the tax code.
How I shall prove purchase of your INCENT in financial accounting? You not the legal entity. Cryptocurrencies aren't acknowledged in my country, as well as in the most part of the world.
I will receive a huge penalty and perhaps even I will be put in prison for fraud and money laundering if I spend money of the firm for INCENT purchase.

Second question:
How I can purchase at you INCENT for the loyalty programs if it is traded in the public market? So its price is unstable. Today I issued to the client 10 INCENT for purchase, and tomorrow he decided to spend them, it comes to my shop and here it turns out that last night the price fell three times. What shall I answer the client?

To the first question, I would say: if you are a business that operates in a jurisdiction that is hostile to cryptocurrencies, do not deal with cryptocurrencies.

To the second: the customer is getting a reward, essentially for nothing.

Okay folks...

So I've already asked this question in the waves thread but I was hoping to get a clearer answer here...

How many incent tokens will be issued in total... I understand the investment cap is 5 mil usd, but I'm trying to understand whether there will be a total of 1 mil, 5 mil, 10 mil, 100 mil tokens etc issued?

Thank you

Total tokens depends on the amount raised and the rates at which people buy tokens.

Interesting. Id like to apply for the campaign, is that 30 posts/week or i only need 30 posts untill the end of ICO?
It's minimum 30 posts until the end of ICO. Keep in mind that you have to keep the signature after you achieved the 30 posts  Smiley

If I get 5% more Incent for paying with $Waves - is that on top of the 10,000 Incent I would get for early investment? So would be like 10,500 Incent for one Bitcoin worth in Waves?
Exactly! The 5% is another bonus on top.

Will my Incent token increase or decrease when the price of Waves token fluctuate against Bitcoin price

It shouldn't make a difference. Incent uses the Waves network but it isn't 'backed' by Waves. It will trade independently against bitcoin, USD etc.

It's not complicated, but you get to hear my dulcet tones.

Offering such huge discounts to larger investors (24k/BTc for >50BTC) seems ridiculous to me

It was not done without thought. Most are strategic relationships that bring a lot more than money to incent.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Incent: The first universal, merchant-backed loyalty platform on: September 29, 2016, 11:19:48 AM
the escrow agreement is that pdf? is there any confirmations from the person itself?

Rob can confirm he's escrow when he's up and about again (Aus time). I've also asked Paul (BitPanda) to swing by and do the same.

I was looking at your team page and only see marketing people. How many developers are currently working on the project?

Pete is our lead dev and is doing great work. He's coded the proof of concept wallet as well as ICO site.
A successful crowdfund will allow us to hire more devs.

Well, that explains why third-party services like viralexchange and waves are used.

There's a limit to what any one person can do!
Waves is the best blockchain for the job, and given the huge amount of dev resources going into it, there's no reason or point to reinvent the wheel. TVE is a very convenient way of administrating bounties.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Incent: The first universal, merchant-backed loyalty platform on: September 29, 2016, 09:09:27 AM
Remember that Angel investors (20+ and 50+ BTC or Waves equivalent) are eligible for discounts pre-ICO _only_ - so after ICO formally starts in ~39 hours these will no longer be available. If you'd like to deposit larger amounts and/or assist in the ICO, please DM myself or Rob. We have a few people interested but time is running out.

IMO this is one of the most professional IPO's I have seen around for a while. The business case targets a market ripe for disruption and the answers here and and Slack are timely and full. The White paper and other info are professional, complete and show full transparency.  You guys are doing a great job and "great success" for the IPO. Rob - a special mention - you are the real deal. Don't often see the full biscuit in these crypto spaces.  Cheers - usukan. (sorry - I jumped the gun and already invested)

Thank you for your kind words usukan! It's a great team.

It's also worth saying that we're grateful to everyone who has or plans to trust us with their hard-earned cash. Thank you!

Is there any connection to the german "incent" company - incent.de ? They are offering rewards too.

No connection.

Stolfi is a celeb now. He even has his own following, most of whom don't even know they're being trolled.

Ah, Stolfi. Thing about him was, he was totally sincere. Can't even remember what his arguments were really, but he really believed them.

Escrow address and info? I don't find it in your website or OP. Please specify more details about escrow, including the escrow address, I want to see the btc funding situation, thanks.

Escrow address is https://blockchain.info/address/3EcZsF2GSYfBM6YNRJ7RAEuRhqLBhFRcdY
Currently contains ~108 BTC, a couple of angel investors and a few more smaller deposits from people who jumped the gun Smiley
Escrow is 2/3 multisig. Keys are held by Rob Wilson, BitScan CEO; Paul Klanschek, BitPanda CEO; and Fran Strajnar, CEO of Brave New Coin.

ICO formally starts on 1 October unless you're a large investor. But please read OP, it's quite important and we'd like you to do your due diligence Smiley

If the merchants are the only ones to have access to new Incent and it becomes, as you predict, a valuable 'commodity' in itself, you will get ppl buying job lots of stuff they don't need from the Incent network of stores just to hoard the coin right? ...but then why would you ever spend Incent with a merchant? I guess you wouldn't - but then I guess it doesn't matter. Units are sold - incent gained - market driven - job done.

It will trade openly on Waves and other exchanges, so anyone can get hold of it. That's an important part of price discovery and maintaining the market.

Regular consumers who get it sent to their smartphones when they make a purchase may hold it, or simply spend it with a merchant who accepts it. Some won't get the 'investment' angle, others will - it's up to them.

Great! And remember, ICO is two months long, so there will be plenty of time to accumulate some Incent via the various bounty programmes.
