1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Incent: The first universal, merchant-backed loyalty platform on: September 28, 2016, 08:55:58 AM

Not very accurate, the terms say: The ICO will run from 0001 GMT (Z) on the 1st October for a period of 2 months or until our funding target of USD 5 million is raised, whichever occurs first.

If the ico is completed within 1 month, or 2-3 weeks, and full nodes are not released before ico ends.

Frankly, that would be a very nice problem to have.
This is something we've been discussing in the team and should we hit our $5m cap at an early stage, we will obviously liaise with Sasha and the Waves devs to see what the most appropriate response is. As things stand, it looks good. I'd suggest you keep up with the regular dev reports via the weekly films (and they're a good watch anyway).

Only 20? I have invested 5 ico projects so far, i invested more than 20 btc in 3 of them. They didn't call me angel, and also 2 of projects are shit, only one is successful.

I appreciate you give me a chance to be an angel, give me more time to think about it.

I'm intrigued to know which 5 Smiley
You're very welcome to discuss things further with Rob or the team. Slack invite at https://incentinvites.herokuapp.com/

That's the intention, yes. Generally these people contact us in advance to discuss their investment (which we'd encourage). If you are interested in investing 20+ BTC, please do get in touch.
wow 20 BTC, that would be all of my investment fund
thanks anyway for the detailed info

Yes, we're really expecting strategic partnerships here, organisations that might offer additional services like publicity, new communities, etc - though there's nothing to stop individual investors either (it's a little outside of my reach too).
Like most ICOs, we'll be offering a sliding bonus scale, with the best rates available on October 1-4 and a gentle step down periodically after that.

To be an angel, what is minimum investment of the pre-ico angel? Any discount for angels?

There are discounts available pre-ICO for minimum 20 BTC investments. Please do get in touch on Slack if you would like to discuss this further.

Invest in the Incent ICO with $Waves to receive an additional 5% bonus

Register here: https://www.incentloyalty/com/register

We invest with waves tokens, we can get 5% more incent? What is the price of incent/waves now?

Correct, that will be the case throughout ICO, though we will be monitoring it because we won't be accepting more than around 20% of the total in Waves. You can check the Waves price on Bittrex: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-WAVES
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Incent: The first universal, merchant-backed loyalty platform on: September 27, 2016, 11:12:31 AM

Just as long as the BTC I have sent you is secure - as INCENT credits as displayed on my login - no problems.

Cheers usukan

It is absolutely secure, stored in multi-sig escrow. Your balance is calculated from the bitcoin blockchain, too, so really, no one can mess with it Smiley

Also to clarify: the ICO site is separate to Waves network. You won't be able to withdraw these tokens until the end of the ICO on 30 November, when we know how much has been raised. The Incent tokens will then be created on the Waves platform and distributed.

Great project. I was early supporter of Waves and I'm holding bunch of tokens. I will take my part in Incent ICO as it was in my radar.

be aware that - although the INCENT ICO based on Waves tokens is reported to go live on 1 Oct

It has already started - it is accepting funds and crediting INCENT Waves tokens

I have tested it - and its definitely live and working.  I already have INCENT Waves token credits.

You can check the INCENT purchases so far on this address:

I suspect that the Waves platform is somewhat closer to going live than many here suggest - and a select few know this.

Just to address this:
Incent is accepting pre-ICO deposits from larger 'angel' investors who can ideally bring something more to the project, such as expertise, publicity etc, or strategic partnership. To enable these deposits with full escrow protection, we have set the ICO site to live. Some people have chosen to deposit before the formal start of the ICO, on 1 October, but there is no advantage to doing this. Whilst the ICO site works, is secure and tested, we are still adding functionality, such as Waves deposits.

Has the bounty for Signature Campaign already started? or does it start when the ICO starts, which is 1st October?

Just register and start posting  Smiley

Yes, get stuck in!

Hi Just to clarify the supply

Say if everyone invest on day 1...i.e. 5million that is approx 8333.33 btc.  10000tokens per btc will equate to 83.33million tokens being issues which will be 50% of the total supply.

Total supply will be approx 166.66m max and on the opposite end it will be 99.99m min?

That sounds right, though where do you get 99.99m?
Key thing is that supply is fixed, and the Reserve is not spent on a permanent basis - it's just for balancing up on a short term basis. Essentially it can be discounted from supply because it's not an overhang, it's for orderly settlement and will remain ring-fenced.

Am unsure about your "Carrot-Like" Logo but then again i guess "Incent" is trying to convey the "Carrot and Stick" idiom

Yep! Though there's no stick, just a big fat tasty digital carrot.

Is this the first application built on the Waves platform?  In terms of investing in the platform or the application, which do you feel is the better play? Generally, not just Wave/Incent...

Certainly one of the first.
In terms of which is a better investment, that's comparing apples and oranges. Waves is the platform, Incent the business/application. It's a bit like asking which is better, Linux or the app built on it. Or which is better, the US dollar or the business that uses it. (I.e. really depends on the business.)

What I would say is that if Incent attracts meaningful transaction volumes and exposure, that will be very good for Waves. That's one of the reasons why Incent itself is accepting (and holding) Waves in the ICO, as well as bitcoin.

Hi incent,
My first post in this thread and i am interested in this project.may i know why you reserved 50M tokens which is 50% out of total supply? what is the guaranty that this token will not dump after a successful launching? 50% reserve for future promotion is huge amount which make me worried.

Hey imbest,
Yes - we realise this is something that can be misunderstood, but it's actually critical to the working of the project and a positive for investors, since they will be paid dividends through it. For an explanation, see posts starting here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1610052.msg16357335#msg16357335

50% of fund is reserved by dev team? Could you elaborate the details? How much for bounty? How much for advisory board? And so forth. Your slides says too few details.

Good question! The vast majority is will be used to act as the Reserve for market-making to ensure prompt settlement to customers - see above.

We've created a number of marketing partnerships with organisations and individuals who we are paying or part-paying in Incent, where they share our long-term vision and our aims are aligned. The total amount of Incent reserved for team, marketing and promotion will be no more than 12% of supply, with other payments being made in fiat and BTC.
I hope that answers your question!

What happens if reward points go out and businesses decide not to pay ?

How it works is:
Customer pays merchant
Merchant has designated a % of each purchase to be sent to the customer as Incent
Merchant sends this % to BitScan, with an instruction to issue Incent to the customer wallet
Merchant receives instruction and issues Incent to customer

This is also why BitScan needs the reserve: they need to issue Incent immediately, at point-of-sale, but due to the well-known inefficiencies of the banking system, the funds will only reach BitScan 2-3 days later. So they need Incent on-hand to send out, which they will then replenish when the funds arrive from the merchant.

I suppose it would be possible for a merchant to send an instruction without any money, but then the normal channels are available to recoup it - and the merchant would get booted out of the programme if they kept offending.

I'll let Rob or someone more qualified answer the question about Algolia.
