Dang I was still using some of those API features for the website. Guess it was overdue to migrate those anyway. Thanks for providing great UNO services!

Service announcement: while everyone here is - rightly - discussing price, the upcoming crypto-dominance of UNO and wether or not we should merge-mine, side-chain, softfork, hardfork, hedge, split, bond, pump, dump, hodl, grexit or all of this at once ... I've been doing a couple of updates to the http://unobtanium.uno site. Nothing major. Just fixed a few odd bugs, added some caching to speed up our exchange ticker (and prevent us from getting blacklisted by APIs for making too many requests, lol) and such stuff. I also added a short paragraph about and links to Un-Ex, as I really admire the network this has brought together. Keep up the good work everybody. I may not post all the time, but you can be sure I'm here and reading (as IMZ likes to say) every day.

Wolong's volume was impressive, though. There wasn't nearly as much Uno available then as there was today. Does anyone know how to figure that out? What was Uno's total mintage on Feb 7, 2014? He must have had most of the supply and been running it up and down the order book like a crazy man to get that kind of volume. According to our block explorer on 7th Feb 2014 we were at block #202000. Which means UNO had just completed its 2 intial (and biggest) reward periods. ~150k coins (100k blocks at 1 Un, 100k blocks at 0.5 Un) should have been minted at that time. We're at roughly 193k now, so 150k is not quite as big of a difference in total supply as the one year that has passed since then would make you believe. Excellent timing for a pump, this way they didn't have to worry about miners dumping very much (very likely they were mining themselves before/during the pump). Yeah the volume back then was insane. Like 20% of the available supply changed hands every day - for 2 weeks in a row.

I was able to fix most issues on unobtanium.uno but I'm leaving on a short trip soon (just the weekend) and won't be able to fix the few remaining bugs until I'm back. Sorry folks, the most important stuff should work again!

I'm trying to raise Learminer about Unobtanium.uno. I know he's a busy guy. Does anyone else here have the skillset to repair the price/vol info on Unobtanium.uno?
Thanks for the info! A proxy service I've been using apparently went offline. Nothing I can replace overnight, but I'll try to look into it ASAP.

Has anybody noticed the order on 'Trex that appears and disappears like it was doing the other day? Today it is for 71.42744899. Is that due to a bot gone bad?
@IMZ Yay for more fiat!
Pretty much whenever I traded UNO on Bittrex there's been weird orders like this. Added, removed, added at a slightly different pricepoint, removed again, added again, often very quickly. This bot has been running for a while now, mostly on the buy side from what I remember.

I certainly won't be watching the charts daily over the holidays. I have stopped day trading in crypto right now due to a lack of time and too many scams on new coins. I'm now in hodl and wait mode. For which UNO is well suited I think. I don't mind the lower price one bit to be honest. I guess a few weeks ago I would have been sad, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter. Prices go up and down, that's how markets work. The main downer is BTC's performance (or lack thereof), but there's nothing any of us can do about that. To whoever is selling his tons, hope you get a satisfactory price. We all have our reasons to sell, buy or hold, no hard feelings. @Mark I hope that paw of yours heals well. I wish all of you a great holiday, hope you get time to spend with your loved ones!

Hi. Ian Foxley here, some of you might know, I am doing some comparision videos on Youtube between two cloud mining companies and today I have some good news. Genesis Mining has added UNO coin to the list of coins that you can mine with their company. As it is black Friday today they are also doing a Black Friday special with 10% off the price of any contract, This also works additionally with a promo code, mine is in my signature I will be downloading the wallet later and hopefully will mine some UNO coins too. Just made a youtube video which you can watch here if you like http://youtu.be/O-vCAyWeWNgThanks Ian Welcome Ian. That is pretty cool news indeed. Informative video, I liked it. Will need to purchase some fresh BTC so I can try this out. It seems like you encountered a small bug when visiting our homepage, the stats section was not updated with the rewards graph and latest stats like the latest current hashrate. Sorry for that, I don't know what went wrong there. All data is usually fetched from a blockexplorer and then updated via JavaScipt so it is up to date. Maybe there was a timeout or a service was down shortly. If the problem persists I would appreciate any feedback you could give me to track down the problem. Hope you'll have a good time mining UNO! Precious little coin it is.

Good to see there's some hope for the Karma from Mintpal, best of luck to all those stuck with coins there!

Should Uno ever be traded on an exchange called MtMox?Worst. Re-Branding. Ever. Wow. Just wow.

Interestin chart rojan. I've been holding back on buying new BTC. Not convinced by all the recent "buy now we're gonna mewn" hype. No doubt all the money that's been pumped into the Bitcoin ecosystem (talking investments in companies, not BTC itself) the past 18 months will eventually pay off. Much innovation and quality services still need to be developed. As it stands Bitcoin is just too consumer unfriendly, we need wallet innovation, easier use and better security. I think there will be at least one more buying opportunity close to the peak of the first 2013 bubble (~260$). I don't think it will go down further than that. I am waiting for those prices to buy more BTC and then convert it to more UNO.

Of course Bitcoin is on a pump, but considering UNO's history we shouldn't judge the coin based on that. If the support keeps rolling in like it did yesterday we might just see 600-700$ Btc again before the year is over (with a few corrections along the way). That would be good for all cryptos IMO, especially for solid alts like LTC or UNO, we could profit from a strong BTC and get a nice boost.

*virtual high five* I'd never thought I could be so happy for a total stranger from the internet. That post almost brought tears to my eyes!

I can never unsee that balu2, ahhhh...
As for BW, the drama around him has certainly been intense. Several of the coins he's been involved in have tanked. Were they scams though? The altmarkets have been in a downward spiral for like 2/3rds of a year now, tons of coins with honest hardworking devs have lost value massively. Disgruntled hodlers tend to get pissy, myself included. Does that mean BW is really as bad of a character ad people try to make it appear? I don't know, but if the majority of the crypto community sees him as a bad player that might become a problem.
To me UNO is not a "Bryce coin" anyway. He took the dev role because the community kept bringing up his name and FK asked him to. From what I know most actual dev-work currently is done by Blazr, UNO's creator. Does he have anything to say about this?

Edgar I don't even want to imagine how you must feel. So sorry to hear you haven't been able to recover anything so far.
I think at this point your only hope is a data recovery expert, maybe they have some tools up their sleeves we don't know about. I've read reports of data being recovered that was in fact overwritten several times, or the HDD previously physically broken, burned or worse. Some of those tools are proprietary and not even for public sale. Keeping my fingers crossed!
I will double check my own backups are still intact and up to date next.

I get these forums are not ideally suited to have chats and ongoing conversations. I just hate signing up for new services if I only have a single use for them. I got like a gazillion different logins in a bazillion different sites. It just gets really tiresome. That Webogram asks for my phone number is also kinda annoying.
That being said, I'm considering it. Go Karma.

i don't know why but i have this images in a much better resolution and when i postet here they come out somehow blurry I believe BCT has some kind of proxy/caching server for images that compresses these images heavily.

when cryptsy was being slow to release UNO, i pulled out a total of 3800 UNO in 4 999 lumps.
that was the exact time that uRan was diminshed and uCun appeared.
since then my hard drive has faultered and 90% of everything i own is now in jeopardy.
'Day 4 of chkdsk /r /f C: has stalled... disk is grinding & clicking ;(
i have a few UNO left on cryptsy along with a few other alts...
Good luck recovering your wallet! 4 days of disc recovery and no backups? That doesn't sound good. I've had a few harddrives fail on me before, usually most data could be salvaged onto another drive (put old and new drive in another PC) and only parts were unrecoverable. Are you trying to recover the whole PC right now (stuck in bootup repair or something) or trying to rescue data from the drive mounted into another system? If the damaged parts include OS files the system might not be able to boot, but you personal files might be okay and accessible if accessed externally. I wish I could be of more help, but I haven't had HDD failures in a while (since moving to mostly SSDs now that I think about it, hmmm) so my knowledge is kinda rusty.
