181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 23, 2014, 03:41:18 PM
Just to be 100% sure, this means that we can still buy TOKEN on the AE until Thursday around 12:00 GMT and it will still exchangeable into UNITY correct? The only difference being that now we are buying on the secondary market rather than directly from James.

While that may be true, but if I were you or anyone else, I would NOT buy TOKEN anymore to be safe, since ICO has officially ended.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 23, 2014, 02:52:54 PM
Current results from BTER:

Approve Bonus       45757 (99.99%)
Reject Bonus        4 (0.01%)

Those totals can't be individual votes. Must be weighted numbers? Huh Otherwise, you are looking at about 10 tokens per investor (500K total tokens/50K individual votes).

I think the "Total voters" right at the bottom of the results is more accurate.  Right now it says 58.  The other numbers might be the number of TOKENS involved in each vote, since it is weighted.

Edit:  I am quite surprised some people voted for No Bonus.  Very interested in seeing what are their reasons.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 23, 2014, 01:55:17 PM
Is the current available/sold TOKEN posted somewhere?

The coinmarketcap link shows about 260k: http://coinmarketcap.com/assets/#BTC

Does anybody know how accurate this is?

This is not accurate info. I guees, its just only from BTER. NXT AE info were not added. Total BTC should be more.

The last report, from about 2 days ago showed a little over 480k.  So it's probably a little over 500k at this point.  I'm sure James will post a final count once ICO is over.

Weird, my meme post which I made as an answer to the "make quick money" post was deleted from this thread by a mod.

Ha, that is weird.  What's also weird is you actually took a screenshot of your own post before it was deleted.  Were you anticipating that to happen? lol

No he didn't. If a post gets deleted, they send you an email with an exact copy of the post that gets deleted. All he did was paste that email in there.

Ah, I see.  Didn't know about that.  Learn something new every day.

Yeah, I'd say the bonus sounds very fair. Basically he only gets that bonus if those conditions are met (basically, if SuperNET increases in value). With all the work he's putting in and adding more value to everything, he deserves it.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 20, 2014, 07:18:14 PM
Long Live James!

Enough with that. You sound ridiculous.

I have to say, I agree with this.  I'm all for freedom of speech, but based on the questions that CECVW asks, he/she seems rather misinformed on some of the major things going on.  So saying that at the end of every single post does make it look like mindless shilling.  But that's just my opinion.  No offense to you CECVW.  You do whatever you want!
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 20, 2014, 02:37:02 AM
what are the results sales for today?

3% or lower? when is this finally ending?
tomorrow is the key
if tomorrow is less than 3% (pretty likely), then Monday will be the last day

2014-09-19-14:00:02-GMT SOLD 254056.48203719 TOKEN
GOT 1054.4414311 BTC, 12064498.62520848 NXT, 21438.29282011 BTCD, 654194.93798702 CNY
NXT AE 28'646'930.74985353 TOKEN: 228679

total TOKEN so far: 482735.48203719

So if tomorrow doesnt do 14482.0644611157 new TOKEN, this triggers the close 2 days later, or end of day Monday

since we have not had such numbers for almost a week, it seems everybody who wanted to get TOKEN has done so and we can get to the business of voting, issuing SuperNET/UNITY and starting the market trading

James

Honestly, that's good news.  I'm all for not having long and drawn out ICOs

Interesting that BTCD has kept its value surprisingly well, given BTC's crash. Low volume, too. I guess BTCD people are natural born hodlers.

Yeah, it's one of the things that got me drawn to BTCD in the first place.  If you look at the history, BTCD has probably had the most stable price (even after big price jumps) out of any coin within the past 3 months.  Good community here and it doesn't seem like there are a bunch of people who are just looking to dump all their coins the first chance they get.  Or people could just be holding in anticipation for Teleport release, knowing the next big price jump will happen again.  But even after that happens, I predict price will continue to stay elevated because of SuperNET.  Lots of intertwining things that will help maintain the value.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 19, 2014, 02:23:15 PM
james, do you think supernet be able to distribute a million dollars a month in dividends?

at some point in the future, ofcourse

Why shouldn't it be able to? There is no technical difference in distributing $1000 oder $1000000 or BTC50 or NXT3000000...!?

I mean if supernet can reach that amount of dividends

Assuming my reasoning is correct (which you never should), I'd say $1m is no big deal:

Let's say for a moment that SuperNET is a strong, stable real-world company that pays a totally respectable dividend of 5%.
Say also that its market cap is book value, and book value is $2m, because BTC has taken quite a beating recently, if you'd noticed...
That gives total dividends of $40k.
But, of course, SuperNET's market cap ought to be way over book value. Consensus is that #10 on CMC is not unreasonable by the end of the year, as James' bonus is tied to this. Right now that's around $8m, so let's say x4, gives dividends of $160k.
Real-world companies might work on a profit margin of 15%, whereas SuperNET plans to operate on 90%, so x6 = $1m, give or take.

There are factors which could impact that estimate a lot, but both ways - BTC could crash further and stay down, but equally some revenue streams could perform strongly or SuperNET could have a market cap of $30m in 15 months (#5 CMC which James' other bonus is tied to).

This is why I plan to reinvest dividends, certainly to begin with.

EDIT: just realised you said 'a month'! That changes things a little, obviously - though not that much if your timescale expands by a year or so.

I think it will depend a lot on how many coins with unique tech and how many revenue producing services are available on SuperNET (and of course, how well each perform on the market individually).  Since SuperNET is such a new and revolutionary idea in crypto, it will likely take awhile to catch on and to reach that amount in dividends (a year or more).  Or there's a small chance it will just completely blow up in the next few months.  You really can't know for sure, which makes it exciting.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 18, 2014, 08:46:36 PM
I am not sure that I can find the answer yet.

My question is: When will the ICO end?

Likely Monday, but may continue for up to another 2 weeks depending on interest.  I think the only definitive end date is Saturday, Oct. 5th, which is exactly 4 weeks from the date the ICO started.  Again, I think it will likely end sooner than that.
Barring a surge of new sales this weekend, it looks like Monday will be the last day.
then again maybe there is some big news that will come out this weekend and as long as each day is bringing in 3% of total, it goes on for 2 more days

What's the total number of TOKEN right now?

James (or anyone else who can answer),

This may have been answered already, but in order to receive the SuperNET UNITY asset in exchange for our TOKENs, will we need to return the TOKEN assets to the asset issuer or will this be handled automatically? I am a little unclear on the capabilities of the NXT AE (this is where I hold my TOKEN assets) so I am not sure if this is even possible to be done as an automatic process which is why I ask. Thanks in advance!
If you have TOKEN asset you will get a dividend of matching amount of SuperNET asset
no need to do anything it will just appear in your account

Is it safe to assume that it will work the same if you have TOKEN on bter?

Can we see any improvement since this coin was launched? I mean even just a little development? I dont really understand the difference of  this coin from other or ist still just like the normal coin so far?

There are definitely a lot of stuff going on in the background.  I suppose if you can read code, you can check github and see that it's being updated and worked on all the time by jl777.   Everything has been open source since the beginning, which you don't see with many (if any) coins out there.  If I'm correct, I think he's aiming to start releasing features by the end of this month.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 15, 2014, 05:49:23 PM
I also have a question.  I understand that SuperNET allows users to use features of different coins, presumably coins with the best current tech.  So let's say BBR currently has the best anon tech, but what if in the future a new coin comes out with something better and joins SuperNET.  What would happen to BBR?  Would anyone have an incentive to continue using BBR's older anon tech?  Likewise, would BBR still have an incentive to continue being in SuperNET if no one uses their anon tech?  And this goes for every other feature out there too, not just anon sending.

How would Moneroman88 like to reply to the allegation that he is fact a paid anti-Monero shill, attempting to make the Monero community look like FUD-crazed idiots while he is secretly being bankrolled by Ripple/Stellar/Illuminati/Bitcoin/TheVatican ?

What a load of bollocks. I'm a Monero supporter and I've been influenced by the XMR community. All I am is posting what I learned from the XMR community and rpietila in particular through my own glasses, that means it's tinted with my own strong character. I am neither paid nor anti-Monero, this is a weird conspiracy theory you're proposing. It is beyond me why you'd think like that. Is it because I put my opinions across in a strong manner? I do what I can to get my message across: Monero is the coin with the best potential. This is a fact. You too can dust yourself off from delusion and buy in a real cryptocurrency with a real future, not a shady asset scam scheme.

Where is your evidence that jl777 is *not* planning to run off to cash out all this money for the - admittedly - hard work he did to collect all the money? Where is the evidence that allows all this investment in a 1-person-centralized-scheme that Cryptocurrency was invented to avoid in the first place? Where is your reasoning other than baseless accusations? Where is it? Post it. I sincerely and kindly ask you to.

Since you're the one calling scam, shouldn't you be the first one to supply evidence that it is?

From doing research, jl777 has been a very long term and respected developer in the crypto community.  You, a nobody, are calling scam, but have no real evidence.  Who do you think will believe you?

If you are truly a Monero supporter and have been influenced by them, then you have succeeded in making Monero look bad.  I'm sure the Monero community appreciates this greatly.

What are the reasons such jumps in the price?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=741728.msg8784778#msg8784778

Take from this what you want, but I am no longer supporting Keycoin.

Im glad team supporters are finally starting to see the truth. nice one.

Well, all I can say is I was fortunate enough to come out with a bit of profit from all this without realizing what was going on the entire time (noob mistake).  I do have a conscience and wanted to warn others.  Hoping everyone still around is able to be more realistic and eventually find a good exit point with minimal loss.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 12, 2014, 07:20:03 PM
I remember at the very beginning of this year, the trend was "ASIC Resistance".  Coins were competing to have the "best" algorithm.  Then it moved on to the trend of "anon" and again, coins were competing to have the "best" anon.  All of these trends will continue to happen, but that also means people move on from one trend to the next and crypto in general ends up not really going anywhere.

This is why I believe SuperNET will truly have long term potential as compared to everything else that came before it.  It doesn't try to be the best in anything, but rather, it combines the best of everything.  It's an incredibly novel and brilliant idea.  And it has a person (jl777) with a lot of brains and influence behind it to make it all happen.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Halcyon - x15 POS - Roadmap - Infographic - PeerSend - New ANN on: September 12, 2014, 03:45:47 PM
Just because a developer supports more than 1 coin doesn't mean he's scamming everyone.

I agree, it doesn't mean that. But the fact that Crypt never got their anon released, leaving a bunch of angry bag holders and it's very likely that anon was released for Keycoin instead is very shady. Also it was promised that there will be a decentralized anon release for Keycoin but no mention of that again for over a month. Very likely that decentralized anon was released for Hal.  See a pattern here?

You guys can believe whatever you want.  But to the hopeful investors: both Key and Hal has gotten dumped after major tech releases (and with no obvious major tech/code problems). Obviously there are a lot of people who know things you don't (i.e. some of the things I've pointed out). So you do whatever you want with your investment but I would advise again to be very cautious.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Halcyon - x15 POS - Roadmap - Infographic - PeerSend - Update on: September 12, 2014, 02:09:45 PM
First of all, I was a KEY supporter since the beginning and I also bought a little bit into HAL.  Not trying to FUD as I have made my profits and have sincerely supported Keycoin (see my post history) but now I'm out for the time being and here's why:

Not sure what to make of it, but I just realized something.  I was never involved in Crypt, but right now I have a very strange feeling that the anon tech that was promised to be delivered for Crypt was actually delivered for Keycoin.  And then a month ago Keycoin devs (or rather, "Pr0m3theus") said that they were working on a decentralized anon, but they have not said a word about it since.  (Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=695457.msg8237412#msg8237412)

I get the feeling that this decentralized anon is actually this one here that was delivered for Hal.

Again, not trying to imply anything, but there seems to be some connections here.  Could be just a coincidence, but definitely seems weird...  Also, not to mention this "Pr0m3theus" person has been involved in and/or hyped up all 3 coins (Crypt, Key, Hal):  https://twitter.com/_pr0m3theus_

So to all the honest investors:  All I can say is be cautious.

Took you long enough. Welcome to the right side.

Well, that's because no one has really tried to say it out in a logical (mature) manner, so it all just looked like FUD.   Anyways, I've basically confirmed with my own eyes that what I said is true.  I saw halcyondev posted as "cryptowest" by mistake just last night. And I was not the only one who saw it, as confirmed by some PMs that I got.

Anyways, I'm not saying the dev will abandon the project, but their way of operating is sickening to say the least. Good luck to all.
