181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: December 18, 2014, 01:59:37 AM
guys.. i can't get the market to work.. it doesn't display anything for sell.. =\

I would guess it's because there isn't anything listed on the market right now.

There are new releases coming in the next 14 days (sooner the better) and I'm sure alot of folks are waiting for these releases to come before listing new items.

ok its basically delayed until next monday so that the court can get more information on the conversion from BTC to fiat. Feel free to post that on the forum- judge has adjourned the hearing until next Monday

Heh, cool.  So we have another exchange?  LOL

No he is saying that the court date is delayed until next monday so that the court can get more information on how the IPO funds (bitcoin) were converted to fiat.

Every coin nowadays is talking about a marketplace, syscoin is actually doing it. Every coin wants to gloat about their community, compare their IRC channels to ours. Out of the blue we all decided to chat via skype more privately for a bit and before we knew it we had about 10+ people all conversing on the future implications of syscoin and aligning our visions.

Syscoin doesnt just have its own reputation to be concerned with, but also the frustrations of the entire crypto community. This is why everyone is so quick to jump to conclusions and try to call out a scam. That's not going to happen here. Syscoin has an unstoppable dev team, and as of recently has a strong, active and supportive community of professionals.

where is the app?

Do you know what the app is? Danosphere just posted about the release today, did you read that?

Hi the system team,
don't stop development and lying all the hope and strength solely on the law suit,
Or.....the whole community will lose confidence,
because we can easily conclude, all you care is the IPO money, not the syscoin itself.
And if you can't get the money back, then.....
I know you always claim you never give up syscoin, but that's your own slogan,
we just want to check what you've done, instead of what you have spoken.

Hope the updated roadmap with new timeline won't be broken again.
Or it will hurt the confidence on your team deeply.

As much as i (an active community member, and fellow substantial stakeholder) whole heartedly disagree with this, theres no point in dwelling, to each his own opinion, but you misconceived something i assure you

Your team does not consist of only one or two guys, but several ones.
It's not acceptable that all of you are dedicated to the law suit.

Or we can have the following possible conclusion(As a big stakeholder, I don't want to see these ones):
1. the team is organised awfully. If so, the coin will be hopeless.
2. actaully some of the members has already quit the team, so when the left are puting all their effort to get money back, no remain human resources to continue the develop.

1. As a project manager myself speaking to someone who appears to want to critique others management, have you considered how each of the dev's have existing full time jobs, lives (gf's and/or kids), and needs occasional rest (obviously). Also on top of this, check the most recent road map updates, they have alot of finished work being released soon, if nothing was to be released in the next month: i would have to agree with you, but thats not the case. The info is there farther up in the thread.

2. What makes you think someone quit? Who was it? I'm admitting i may have missed something, but im %85 sure youre wrong. Even if someone did quit, they must not have fulfilled a very substantial role, because the development has not stopped. Also even if someone quit, have you seen recently the rise of a number of community members all stepping up and doing something? You say one (may have) left, i can think of atleast 6 usernames off the top of my head that have recently been alot more active/supportive of all resources/talents they have to offer (myself included here)

So, if you have some real information for all us fellow investors, please do some good and share, obviously a number of folks would be effected and would need to be taken into consideration by those of us active/supportive members mentioned above.

Else, GTFO dude

Hey devs,

Is it possible to get my site added anywhere in the OP or on syscoin.org? It's another place to buy some syscoin, with more convenience than anywhere else on the web:
http://buysomesys.com/

Also, any criticism is more than welcome Smiley harsh or not

Or rather, is there anything I could do to get listed on your site and the OP?

I have to say this is one of the most friendly communities I have found on the altcoin forum to date. Glad to invest in you guys, you have amazing innovation and listen to user feedback. I went and tried to talk to bitbay, I was only insulted and for  understanding how there system worked.  Lips sealed

I will be buying investing more into syscoin as I see it being the clear leader and innovator in the blockchain biased market places.

Yea, saw your comment over there, and others agreeing with you, that's the last I saw, and no response from dev when i looked. Phukk doze guys Smiley syscoin fo'life

I simply backed up the wallet, uninstalled the wallet app and reinstalled. Figured I could come back in a year or two Smiley

Wallet works fine now

I like the sound of Syscoin adding i2p anonymization!!!! I definitely support! Like it or not i think its necessary to have this choice for the marketplace.

Anyone know why the Syscoin wallet is disabled on Bittrex?

I was ass-u-me'ing it was because they are updating their wallet. Maybe not though, someone else prlly knows more.

Idk about anyone else, but I don't think the marketplace really has a name. What sphericon has made is a UI (User Interface) for the marketplace on the blockchain, but to my knowledge he hasn't named it, nor has dev given the marketplace a name.

Might it be time to do so? Me personally, I kinda like sysroad, but I have no say in the matter and am okay with whatever it is named. I feel it does require a name though as it will become pretty popular

no... no... no... not sysroad you are just asking for problems with that type of name. Even the DNM reddit has banned the "road" name from being posted there.

True that, I'm just thinking 'out loud'
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: December 02, 2014, 07:54:42 PM

How much did the ICO people pay?

0.00000465 was the early bird ICO price, and 0.00000515 was the ICO price

(I think)

How would others feel about getting a 7 day sponsorship at bittrex?

I simply had the idea, and know ive invested in a number of coins simply because i saw they were sponsored and i was anticipating volitility. Feel free to correct me if this is a bad idea but i would toss in .1 (possibly more depending on others interest) to do so. Price is 2btc for 7 days

Maybe this might be something to hold off on until more releases come our way?

Personally got mixed emotions about this. If you promote on bittrex you are just playing into the hype for pumpers and dumpers. I thought this coin was more than that, about innovation? Trying to actively push this coin with that much BTC is sorta waste of money IMO. I know we want traders, but adverstising straight where the pumpers and dumpers do their dirty work maybe not best use of BTC.

Perhaps we could instead take a donation for PR for the coin. I think you can get a basic press release for around $175. This would give our coin a little bit of a new audience, and perhaps draw some people in.

I'm with it Smiley (as in, I'd put money towards that) who would that PR be through though?
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: December 02, 2014, 02:26:03 PM
Yes, benefit would be a spot on bittrex's "Account Home Page", the landing page everyone comes to after signing in. There are sponsored coins across the top each week. It at the very least, brings coins to traders attention. My typical process is for ones that I've heard of, I typically will buy those coins IF they are at a low value compared to their recent trends, or will watch them and buy when they dip. Regardless, I know I pay attention to those sponsored coins, as when they become sponsored seems the volatility starts going a bit nuts.

It would bring more attention to syscoin, and if timed right, could lead to a new market value after is all said and done. People would see it's sponsored, look up the ANN thread, see the feature set, see the strong community behind it, the consistent updates/work from the dev team, and at the very least buy a little (0.01 - 0.1 btc avg) and maybe even buy in huge.

I do agree with Zebedee though, could be better timed.
