Do I bother to help?

nope. there've been plenty of chances in the past. he didn't take any. he probably won't now.

Not to mention these people have the "only buying to get rich quick" day-trader mentality. They have no intention of holding or spending their btc on something, only selling for fiat at the first sign of a rise. They don't even really care to understand what Bitcoin is and why it is important. If the price was falling instead of rising, this friend would have zero interest.

You are absolutely correct there

Just thought I'd tell you this one. I'm sure you all have similar stories.

A friend of mine back in 2013 laughed and joked about Bitcoin and I was laughed too for buying it and preaching to everyone that this will be big. This friend then joined forces with other friends and we all went snowboarding in Feb 2014 and once again Bitcoin was mentioned (not by me this time) and once again it was all a big joke.

This friend asked me around 6 weeks ago how to buy bitcoin so I sent him all the information he needed but without the preaching. In my mind preaching about bitcoin is a bit 2013 for me and not something I do anymore, in fact I try not to talk about it at all. This friend said he has money saved up and was going to buy some btc (at least 1 coin, maybe more).
My reply was that's great news, someone I can chat btc with and I wished him luck.

Today he send me messages saying he didn't buy and now wants to buy some.

Do I bother to help? I feel like he is wasting my time. He's asking me when is the right time to buy and what would be a good dip to buy?

Personally I think he likes the idea of owning btc but doesn't have the balls to push the buy button.

Another issue is I don't think he has done any research of his own at all.

Who else has a similar story?

183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does no one mention about the 200K BTG pre-mined? on: October 23, 2017, 07:12:54 PM
My guess is that because most people will dump this for btc as soon as possible therefore things like that are irrelevant.

People just want their free coins to trade for the Mother Coin.

Any update from masterluc?

"masterluc" now only posts at TradingView and vk.com under new aliases.

I think most of us know this already and I'd assume podyx does too. The way I read this was more like..

Has Masterluc posted anymore price predictions or charts on any other forums that someone could post a link to please?

Welcome back 6000. You look a lot sexier on my screen than starting with a 5.

Terms like "racist", "fascist" and "antisemitism" are pretty well established words with clearly defined meanings.

what does it mean "semite"? do you know it?

"SJW" otoh is short for a truly nonsensical label. It's bigoted right wing nutter code for "not a bigoted asshole".

Go to play the political correctness kommissar somewhere else. With me it does not work.

Yeah, they mean someone you don't like.

"SJW" otoh is short for a truly nonsensical label. It's bigoted right wing nutter code for "not a bigoted asshole".
It means someone who, much like a small child, throws a tantrum when encountering someone he does not like.

Drop dead Ibian

Hey Conspirosphere! Mr.Stormfront himself is here to back you up. Lucky you!

next thing ya know... roach will show up...

No no, r0ach is enjoying life on his boat in the Caribbean after investing in silver in 2013 and not this piece of shit bitcoin.

Well done him.
187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 22, 2017, 07:48:04 AM
Well, he was a racist fascist with an emphasis on antisemitism before he ran off with the xmr. But I guess that counts for benign in Cryptoland.

Cryptoland is not a safe space for SJW. And your nonsensical labels have no value.

about reptilia I'm sorry for him and whoever got burned by him. Next time maybe don't invest in a game. I used to like some of his posts though.

Sorry I'm not up to date here. What's the story with Risto? What's happened?
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 20, 2017, 09:44:49 PM
i rise up all sell ... it's way too fast.
it can grow at 1000 USD per week now.
instead of 1 sell every 200 USD ... it's now 1 sell every 400 USD.

If I understand you correctly, your sell orders are about twice as far spread out from mine.  Mine are currently set in $200 increments, and I sell about .47% of my total BTC holdings every $200 price rise - however, I also tend to buy back, too, if it drops - so maybe in the end, I end up buying about 1/3 of it back.. approximately?

About .47%

You crack me up JJG!!!

a question: will Bitcoin become "Basic income" for everybody?

for example: invest 100 today and earn 1000 sometimes in the future?

It won't rise 4ever. But until it reaches to a few millions, the price won't be stable. Meaning that the higher it gets, 5% swings will be unlikely. Maybe if you will see 1% per month or year, you will be lucky! Smiley

A few million??

I thought I was a bull but I need to set my sights a lot higher it seems!!

Yeah getting a bit bored of this dump now.
193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 18, 2017, 07:10:05 AM
Also who is selling coins now before the 2 forks? What's going on here then?

Fucking whales

The major accumulator players are trying to be unpredictable. If their moves are predictable, they'll get others front running their buys... so they have to let it breathe downwards, so that longs don't get comfortable. On the other hand, the accumulators can crush the shorts anytime they click the buy button. But they do need shorts as well in order to provide coins to buy. They let both longs and shorts win a few times and then baaaam, it comes out of nowhere and prices are +500/1000.... lol...

Well this makes sense. I don't trade so never look into all this.
194  Economy / Speculation / Re: This family bet it all on Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 06:53:13 AM
this is the most idiotic thing i have seen in bitcoin world so far. and it is so on so many different levels.

first obvious one is the price, they bought after the rise. and that is a lot of rise this year. the article said they have been doing it for months and still are doing it so they are in profit but still they are investing in bitcoin after a big rise.
second it is easy to lose bitcoin. it said they are living in campsites! how are they protecting their BTC, in a hardware wallet! what if they lost it or got robbed now that they got a lot of popularity too! if i were a thief i would find it easy target. i hope they at least know how to protect their bitcoin properly Cheesy

Be even funnier if they are keeping their coins on an exchange.

I bet they are.

Personally I feel far more secure with my Trezor rather than any other way of storing my btc. I don't have a ledger nano but I have also heard good things.

I don't believe one is better than the other (security wise)

I did a lot of research before buying my Trezor. I did not own a Trezor during the last fork so I haven't split my coins on it before so I am hoping it's fairly straight forward.

Again I have seen some YouTube vids on how to split with a Trezor (when BCH fork happened) and once they support the split it looks very easy. Easier than a multitude of paper wallets and transferring coins to new addresses and inputting priv keys into software wallets to claim split coins using a middle man like blockchain.info. That was a ball ache.

Guys I enjoy listening to Trace Mayer interviews on YouTube. Is there anyone else you recommend watching/ listening to.

Trace just seems to blow my mind each interview.

Thinking about getting a trezor, given recent gains. Put half my cold stash on it. Worth it?

100% yes. I did it a few weeks back.

How many btc does Ver have?
At least 350,000.00000000 BTC. Unless he burned it all into BCH.

What's the deal here? If you have 350k btc why would you even bother with bcash?

Makes no sense to me.

edit. Does that mean he holds more than Jimbo?

bch +30% and bitcoin is dipping. looks like shitcoin supporters are pushing it.

BCH has only 2 supporters - Jihan and Roger. They are constantly burning their bitcoin stash to support their ego with no success. Every price spike is used by people happily dumping the shitcoin and buy back bitcoins. Once Ver is done spending his bitcoin wealth, BCH will become part of the Bitcoin history.
