Can you recommend reliable virtual credit card for paying bills and maybe setting up paypal?
Does it have to be non-KYC? If so, then as far as I know there are none that you could link to your PayPal account. Also, if by "setting up paypal" you mean "verifying it" it needs to be a Visa. A MasterCard is not going to cut it.

i dont really like metamask i have seen many peoples get hacked when they linking their trezor with metamask
Could you show some articles about that? I haven't come across any of them. No one can steal your funds without you authorizing the transaction from the device itself, be that using MetaMask or any other wallet.

Just to add to the above regarding the altcoins support, you probably won't be able to use the Trezor suite (Trezor's native app) for much. If you want to deal with almost any network out there, you will need to link your wallet with MetaMask (desktop). The model T is also supported by Exodus.

Trezor (Safe 3)

As charles mentioned above. Whether you're using Polygon zkEVM, Linea, Arbitrum, Scroll or any other L2. You would need Ethereum on that specific chain, and not on the mainnet. If you do have the ETH in Optimism already, then in that case, you should probably open an issue on GitHub.

Hi everyone, sorry to revisit this old post but I wanted to ask for your expert opinions on whether my newly created paper wallet is safe to use. I've carried out the following steps: 1) Saved https://www.bitaddress.org/ as a html file and saved it to a freshly formatted USB stick 2) I have a PC with freshly installed version of Windows 10 - the PC has no Internet connection. 3) Opened the html file on the non-Internet PC and created the wallets. 4) Closed html file and deleted it from the USB stick. 5) Wallets saved on the USB stick and removed from PC 6) The laptop will never connect to the Internet. For step 3, is it better to use the passphrase setting rather than the randomizer? I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thank you 1. You should've downloaded the source directly from GitHub. 2. I guess that works, but a liveCD with Linux would've been better probably. 3..6. Sounds good. Are you talking about the characters you're asked to type when moving the mouse? Or about the BIP38 (to encrypt the private keys)? If the latter, then as far as I know, these two go hand in hand. You can't create and encrypt your wallet unless you go through the "randomness" process. And yes, it's better to encrypt your wallet, that way if someone find a printed version of it, or gain access to the USB stick, they won't be able to move the funds unless they have your passphrase.

The new exodus does not allow one to sweep a private key... :S there is no settings button to do it any more.. I am trying to sweep a dogecoin wallet.
It still does actually but only for BTC which is what I assumed you have. See here: https://www.exodus.com/support/article/87-can-i-import-a-private-keyFor dogecoin, maybe you can try to see if Coiniomi supports that? I know they have a sweep feature just not sure for which coins.

Does any phone wallet support this anymore?? Is there a way to convert a private key to a seed phrase..?
AFAIK, multiple wallets still do. Electrum should be one of them. Exodus also allows you to sweep a private key from a paper wallet, and it also supports BIP39 (in case you have it encrypted). This is not going to "convert" the private key to a seedphrase though. You have to create a standard wallet first, and when you sweep, the funds will be sent from the private keys/paper wallet address to that wallet.

Namecheap is a good one. I have bought multiple domains, and a couple of hostings before, and I was never asked to verify my identity. I still use them to this day.
The same thing applies to Vultr, I never had any issues with them but I did see a couple of users here saying they did ask them for personal info before.

Do your prepaid credit cards work well in the European Union? -snip-
They should work fine but you can find a list of "prohibited countries" on the card's FAQ page. Keep in mind that these cards do require ID verification, unlike the ones they used to provide some time back.

Yes you need to add the custom word that you use to extend the seed. Without it you will be getting a total new different wallet, it works like a passphrase. The extended seed in electrum is basically to create multiple wallets from one seed phrase with just different custom word at the end.
I'm aware of that but I'm asking about the "connection process" between Ledger and Electrum/Sparrow. Do you actually need any of that instead of just plugging and authorizing the connection from the device?
|
|
|
Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but even if you had an extended seed phrase, I don't believe you need to use that when you're trying to open the wallet using Electrum or Sparrow.
Are you sure you selected the correct account type (legacy) when linking your wallet?
Something else I'm not sure I understood is regarding the "dust amount". So you can see this small amount in Sparrow, Electrum, and even in Ledger, but the difference is that Ledger also shows the 1.7 BTC which you say you can't spend? It would help if you could share a screenshot (by uploading it to an image provider) of the error you're getting.

Secure element[1] [1] https://trezor.io/learn/a/secure-element-in-trezor-safe-3

I'm not sure that would necessarily help though? I'm not an expert on KYT (Know your transaction) but from my understanding of things, even changing the address, may not help? otherwise, how come they could detect malicious activities if that's really all they do, just check the direct transactions?

He's definitely trying to scam you. You shouldn't send him any funds. No wallet or exchange would ever ask you to send such a ridiculous amount of money (or any amount really) to "verify" your account. I'm guessing whatever Electrum wallet you are using was not downloaded from Google play or from the official site either? https://electrum.org/
