i've got a trailing stop sell on bitstamp, ONE DOLLAR behind the price. put it in at 15699 when the price was 15700. IT HASN'T TRIGGERED. what the hell is going on!?

imagine how many geniuses in the arts and such go utterly unknown simply because they are too busy trying to earn FOOD and shelter to actually DO anything with their talents and ideas.
oh wait, we already HAVE that. fuck working just to survive. it's literally not worth the trouble. just die. the end result is the same. if you can't MAKE something or really contribute, why bother existing?
and i do NOT count retail or food service or all that other "well, it's a job" bullshit as contributing. if a machine CAN do it, a machine should, thus freeing us up to explore that which machines can't do, like music and art and sculpture and theoretical physics and astronomy and geology and handmade carpentry and metalworking. (yes, machines can make chairs or knives or whatever, perfectly functional ones, but not ART ones!)
if you can't tell, i'm really sick of the daily grind and would much rather be out in my shop (which i don't actually have - can't afford it) making something like a knife or a prop for a cosplay or something.

Can't sell it withdraw. stamp and kraken are giving up. coinbase gave up. bitcointalk is giving up. it is just like 2011 and 2013 with mt gox normally this would be the top, crash following. the only difference is this time: korea is gentlemen. With enough solar/wind you can power anything. Maybe not as efficient as you want, but it can be done. I mean, tesla just installed and turned on a battery the size of a football field down in south Australia to help with outages. If i recall what i read correctly, it can power 30,000 homes for an hour without assistance.
If i went off grid, power would not be a concern. Hell, i'd be selling it. Buy a few hundred acres, build a bunch of solar and wind, leave the rest wild... Hell yea.
Good stable internet would be a bitch though. And no, satellite isn't good enough.

At the beginning of my crypto journey, I build a GPU rig, as it was something I was comfortable with (used to be a mad overclocker), and mined LTC.
I never mined BTC.
Now I'd like to. Not something large scale, and I know it might not be the best investment, I'd just like to have mined some BTC.
Do one of you know how to get an antminer S9 for a fair price ? Including from Bitmain, is there some kind of waiting list ?

I believe the mining hardware section of the forum has reliable info. And I think bitumen has a website for orders, but they come in batches, and sell fast. Note i've not bought anything from them. |

I mean, we gonna be so fucked in the head from RICHes that we gonna have some difficulties figuring out spending, diversification, security.. and some fucking ass new standards that are out of our regular comfort zone... so gotta kind of tentatively start planning, so we not be so shocked... currently, i'd have... uh... about 1k USD if the price went to 111k. by all means, let the price climb... just, slowly, ok? let me trade and accumulate a bit. i swear, an illegal loan shark is looking more and more tempting these days... What kind of interest do they charge? lol no idea. but hey, this is bitcoin. they could charge 200% and, depending on length of term, we'd beat it.  |

Guys, just hanging at these levels is freaking amazing.
When we broke up out of the year long log channel it could have been a blow off spike...but it's not.
Sure, it will go up and down...but 11K is a reality now. We have been up here for 3 days, and the volatility isn't even that bad, just slowly melting up.

Would anyone here really be that sad if by Dec 2018 we were only at say, $12-13k?
Are people's expectations getting ridiculous now considering the hella run up we had this year?
It would mean end of parabolic rise. And that would be sad. Parabolic rises always end in tears... for somebody. Unless you fuel a rocket to the moon. Let's have it parabolic, and then if the floor establishes around 250K so be it. We will be better then BRK A. as I've already stated previously. We are in for the glory, remember? There will never be enough single and unique BTC for all of us. Bitcoin will redefine how we think about wealth. Imagine to ask somebody to do a trip from the East coast to the West with horses. Someone's probably working on it right now. Intra-mural arbitrage?  I actually found an open source not yesterday, gecko or something? Haven't tried setting it up, had a nasty headache all day, but looked promising. Lots of ways to test the trading goals you set up against actual market data. Needless to say, I am intrigued. |
