Back when Gigawatt was still MegaBigPower, they had at least one mining farm in Wenatchee somwhere - but I think their bigger farm(s) were on the other side of the river somewhere.

 The new Gigawatt farm IS on the other side of the river, near the East Wenatchee airport in an adjacent industrial park.

Giga-Watt has two sites listed on their timeline page, so I wonder if one of those is the old MegaBigPower, or if both of them are near the airport.

On Topic: I'm hoping that the new Avalon 14TH(est) miner is going to be offered by GigaWatt. If not I will buy one from Minerwarez and have them deliver it to GigaWatt.
182  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: November 03, 2017, 11:59:31 PM
275MHz/121GH, 12V 4.9A from top core voltage. Let's see how long it runs stable. That looks to be top speed off a 60W brick, unless it'll run stable at 300MHz at a bit lower voltage. Which should be doable, but it'd help to have the auto-reset firmware on there. Which my firmware guy says will be ready in a couple days.

That's good, because PCBs are already on order.

That's great news sidehack! I'm looking forward to these miners. Now to make sure I have enough power bricks, either that or make a distribution pigtail that takes power from a 400W (all 12 VDC) PSU from a network switch that I have.

Is anybody here renting their WTT? Is it working? i am waiting for batch 3 to be issued.

Short answer is yes.

I have B1 tokens which I am renting while I wait for my L3+ to come online. My current Return On Investment is 5.42%, which if annualized comes out to 36%. My investment includes the cost of my tokens and the cost of the L3+ that I ordered, but which is not yet online. I am receiving receiving rental income in BTC, ETH, and LTC. I have no income from DASH as of a few minutes ago.

Question:
I have a geekscience 2pac usb running cgminer on a windows 10 laptop using Slushpool.
Everything is working fine.
However the clock speed is 100(by default) and I want to increase this.
How is this done?

When I run cgminer the black window pops up and says url
then I type
stratum+tcp://stratum.slushpool.com:3333
then
username.worker
then
password

where would i type the clock speed? or is it done on the slushpool website?

Man, before sidehack blows a gasket, go READ this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1764803.0

No, I mean READ THE THREAD, not just ask the same question that's already been asked and answered at least a dozen times.

I really don't want sidehack to blow a gasket because he is working on some cool AF stuff, and I want him to finish that work.

I'm creating shipping label, customs docs etc ...using the UPS online tool in order to import the ones I ordered..

Anyone know their shipping address?

EDIT: Found it.

 Miner Warez

Wenatchee, WA 98801

Interesting. Not too far from Giga-Watt. Now if only Giga-Watt would offer Avalon miners as an option...

Did you really expect 10x returns? You're buying a discount electricity token for gods sake, there's a clear limit of how high it can go.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner. That's why I bought in. I can't get electricity for less, let alone a managed and monitored site. I'm not expecting to make a killing on the WTT tokens. The tokens are just a way to buy long-term access to the GW facilities, and right now earn at least some return while waiting for the pods to be completed and my one miner (for now) to be installed and powered up.

While waiting, I have been renting my tokens and so far 3.9% of my investment (tokens and not yet installed miner) has been "returned," which when annualized comes out to 30.25% which is just fine by me. When the miner comes online and starts earning that number will go up.

Sweet. Since you have no skin in the game I can ignore your drivel.

I didnt.

Well, if they/you are not buying the excuses, then get out of the market.

This is a new venture, doing something in a totally new way, in an area that isn't used this kind of business. They are trying to be above board, but this is the internet, and everyone knows that everyone lies. However, they following the guidelines/rules, and running into bureaucratic red tape, and interpretations of the rules that can differ between inspectors. If an inspector or department, or certification agency wants to play hardball and deny you their approval, they can do it. All they need to do is find one minor nit, and bam, you fail. Sorry, better luck next time.

If you were so sure that this was a scam why did you buy in?

Let's take your comments and compare them to all of the people who are upset about 5-8 month delays.  Im pretty sure 95% of the people are not buying the excuses they are selling.

And yes, they were mining in the past.  You can see here.

We really need someone from Giga support to give investors info about this situation.

I dont work for Gigawatt, but I can tell you that they have no issues mining themselves!

https://www.litecoinpool.org/stats

Currently number 2 in the Litecoin mining pool.

And they say ICOs are not scams.  Haha.  Seems they sure have room for themselves to mine.

Believe it or not Giga-Watt was hosting miners before the ICO. The ICO was so that they could expand.

Giga-Watt is not mining for themselves, per se, but rather all the miners point to the Giga-Watt address and probably use a worker name to identify the owner, rather than use the owners address. Giga-Watt does things this way so that they can get paid their fees up front, rather than trusting miners to pay their bills.

Please leave your FUD in the bin outside.

Is it FUD that a customer ask about delivery date of his asset?

Nope. The FUD is the fscking conspiracy theory crapola peddled by lazy noobs who can't be bothered to contact Giga-Watt via the published methods they monitor, or too lazy to even use search to see if their question has already been answered.

If you really wanted an answer rather than just whining about how think you're "being jerked around" you'd contact Giga-Watt directly.

I've been in contact with them several times via email, and not once have they blown me off or ignored me.

I really wish they would send you one to test out. Did you already contact them and did they reply or just straight up ignore you?

Maybe someone reading my posts will realize & post something interesting?
Thanks for investigation, you are a real detective  Cheesy

I think building so complex project may require a few legal entities involved, for different activities, so this is not too strange.
Some of them   may be caused by avoiding extra taxes,  like their Singapour bracnch selling miners.

It is not uncommon in the USA to have multiple LLCs (Limited Liability Corporations) under one roof, so to speak. It helps limit losses in the case of a lawsuit as each LLC is separate from the others. I know a number of individuals who own rental houses/properties, and each property is organized as an LLC. It limits the owner's possible losses in the case of a lawsuit.

195  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [FREE] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: October 05, 2017, 05:47:51 AM
So am I right in thinking I would need a dedicated computer to run software to poll the URL showing my user stats and notify me for each worker than goes to 0 hashrate? It does seem simple...

I have a programmer friend I will ask to see if he can figure this out for me, but if anyone thinks its easy and is interested, I would pay them in BTC to help me set it up. PM me if it seems like a reasonably easy / interesting project.

Here you go:

Code: (Python)
import json
import time
import urllib2

for x in range(10):
    response = urllib2.urlopen('http://ckpool.org/users/12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK')
    miners = json.loads(response.read())
    for miner in miners['worker']:
        if miner['hashrate1m'] == '0':
            print 'poll {}: Worker {} has stopped hashing'.format(x, miner['workername'])
    time.sleep(2)

It's not pretty, but fairly simple. You can make it as fancy as you like. One thing I would consider is rather than alert you when hashrate1m goes to zero, may wait for three polls before alerting, or maybe check hashrate5m instead.

Here is the output:

poll 0: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 1: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 2: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 3: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 4: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 5: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 6: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 7: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 8: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 9: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing

The for loop could be changed to a while true loop so it runs forever, and the time.sleep(2) could be changed so that the polling happens less frequently, say time.sleep(60), so the polls happen once per minute. To see if it works for you, change 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK to your BTC address. If you use multiple BTC addresses you would need to iterate over all of them with another loop:

Code: (Python)
import json
import time
import urllib2

btc_addresses = ['12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK',
                 '12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK',
                 '12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK']

for x in range(10):
    for btc_address in btc_addresses:
        response = urllib2.urlopen('http://ckpool.org/users/{}'.format(btc_address))
        miners = json.loads(response.read())
        for miner in miners['worker']:
            if miner['hashrate1m'] == '0':
                print 'poll {}: Worker {} has stopped hashing'.format(x, miner['workername'])
    time.sleep(2)

And the output from this one:

poll 0: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 0: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 0: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 1: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 1: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 1: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 2: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 2: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing
poll 2: Worker 12PbPgw7e5SANspLJYezBxsi4ociS1PBiK.Compac1 has stopped hashing

You're a fool. Cant sell tokens that weren't issued yet.

Well I believe that Batch 1 and Batch 2 have been issued (I got my tokens which were in Batch 1), and still there are not a lot of people trying to sell. I am currently renting my tokens and have no plans to sell them.

I also have a miner that should be installed shortly. Giga-Watt has been keeping me sufficiently appraised of the situation, and I have no concerns over the delays. Not sure where you live that things always go exactly according to plans, and there are never any unforeseen delays or issues that pop up, but this is the USA, and stuff like this happens all the time. What Giga-Watt is doing is new, and it takes time to educate people. Then, of course, there is the arbitrary seeming application of the laws/rules, but that just comes with the territory.

197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: October 03, 2017, 03:19:09 AM
I got my antminer l3+ today Smiley gonna set it up soon can't wait.. although the revenue has gone down a lot since I bought it I'm going to wait a good amount of time to get my 40 ltc back that I paid for it Smiley

At least with the L3+ there are enough scrypt coins to spread the hashrate out.  The d3's there isn't a lot of choices to mine with.

Yea that's true, do you suggest using nicehash or something with the L3? Or something else like manually switching through different coins?

Nicehash was the best for me so far.

Ok thanks, I just set it up on there and I'm getting around 19$/day seems to be working pretty good and with bitcoin price steadily increasing I think if I hold and don't sell it will be worth it in a few months Smiley

What are all of our uneducated guesses as to what the litecoin difficulty will be 30 days from now? If they generate anywhere near $19/day 30 days from now when my batch of L3+'s arrive in October I will be a very happy man, lol.

Well, unless the 'newbie dreams' come to pass and the price of LTC pumps. (I hate regressing and relying on newbie dreams. But with bitmain putting them out like toasters, the only shot)

Anyway, if the price is more or less the same for LTC in 30 days you'd be lucky to get $9 vs $19 you claim per day now. I mean really lucky. There is that much bitmain 'toasters' hitting the world.

All pray to the ASIC gods for a price pump on pow-scrypt, or we are beyond screwed.

I got "lucky" and only paid ~1500 USD for my L3+, and at today's price/diff, what to mine tells me I'll be making ~14.20 USD/day, if my miner was online and mining. Alas I am waiting for giga-watt to get through their gummint inspection hurdles and get my miner installed and running. So maybe in the next week or two I'll start to see some LTC coming into my wallet, the good borg willing and there ain't no meltdown

198  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: October 03, 2017, 02:57:27 AM
i use 5 of these to mine on multipool and granted they do not bring in alot but i do have fun with them ... there all overclocked also

Let's say you are close to 40 GH / s. How much would be the minimum to make it profitable?

That would depend on how much you paid for the miners to begin with. Then you'd have to know how much you would earn per day and then divide the cost of the miners plus the cost of the electricity to run the miners (if you even care about that) by the earnings per day. That will give you the number of days until you break even. After that point it's all profit.

Right now it looks like you would earn about 0.01 USD per day assuming 40 GH/s, 10 watts power usage, and 0.12 USD/Watt of electricity with the current price and difficulty of Bitcoin.

Here is a link to the site I used to get that info:

If this was a scam the devs would be long gone. They would not be working with government regulators to get their buildings approved. In fact, there wouldn't be any buildings.
Things might not be going as well as we all hoped. But to call it a scam is ridiculous.

I get messages all the time from people wanting to buy my wtt off-exchange. They are already worth 2x-3x what I paid for them based on the offers I am getting.
There are many people who are already renting out their tokens (look through this thread to find screen shots and other proof).

I am also anxious to get rich. But I am wise enough to know that is a ridiculous expectation. You'll need much more patience than you are demonstrating, if you want to be successful with any serious investing, especially crypto.  Don't panic. Good luck.

If you have paid hundreds of dollars extra on a miner so you get it early, now your looking at brown away money... Scam or not that is not ok!

Why would you pay hundreds of dollars extra for a miner? Why isn't it OK? You were in a hurry and you paid a premium. Nobody made you pay extra. Well, I don't know, maybe someone did force you to pay extra. But how is you how is your impatience or lack of "testicular fortitude" Cryptonomos's or Giga-Watt's problem? You're just pissed that you paid more for the miner than you should have and now you are looking for a scapegoat. Try looking in the mirror. The person staring back at you is to blame.

Lemme guess, you're one of the fools who paid over 5000 USD for an L3+, right?

Sucks to be you. ROI will be hard to achieve.

This has to stop now!
How do you even dare to try to strip off more people of their money with your shady ICOS if you have not been able to even fullfill your contract part with WTT tokens so far??!!

Our story: In June 2017 with couple of friends we have fallen for their advertising and invested several thousands USD into their WTT token launch. "Mysteriously" our bank wire transfer was delayed and we have been moved into another WTT token batch (missed by 1 day with money we have two weeks before deadline for that batch...ehmmm). Aynway, next batch was supposed to be launched in September. OK, we have waited and waited. And guess what? Now we´ve got October 2017 and we have not seen a single nickel back from our investment (yes almost after half a year).

Oh, please, stop being so dramatic.

Wires take time. International wires can take longer. What does your bank have to say about it?

So the situation now is that we can not use those atm worthless WTT tokens to accomodate our own miners nor we can rent them out - just loosing the money value over time. What have we got instead? Email from their CEO Mr.Carlson that is somewhat special and you should have a chance to enjoy it by yourself:

Quote
"....I want to thank everyone for the positivity we've been experiencing both via online channels as well as at the open house events! I've also received a TON of really supportive energy from the community and I can't thank you enough... it really keeps us all going when there's huge amounts of hard work to do. "

Clearly you did not read the white-paper that set out pretty clearly what the time-line would be for token purchases. The cost per token jumped on fixed dates, but the batches were not based on fixed dates, but rather on the number of tokens issued. I was lucky enough to have my purchase fall in batch 1, so my tokens have been issued and I have all of them rented out while I wait for my miner to arrive and get installed. I received an email from Giga-Watt this past weekend updating me on the status. I'm OK with that.

Fabulous! After getting $ 20 mil from investors, we would also be "experiencing positivity", on Hawaii sipping margharitas probably.

I have no doubt that you would be laughing your a$$ off all the way to Hawaii. But that's the difference between you and the Giga-Watt team. You see, they are working as hard as they can to get this business working, and that's hard when you are doing something ground-breaking. It's not as easy to set up a whole new business like this in the US as some might imagine it is. There are a lot of hurdles to jump through just to get something done. And just when you think you've cleared all the hurdles you get hit with the classic Steve Jobs "Oh, and one more thing." Only in this case it's not some cool new Apple product, it's some new hoop to jump through that isn't mentioned anywhere. SURPRISE! No certificate to operate for you.

I´m attaching screenshot of what you get for $ 1000 of your cash from my own account ...notice that there is not a single word on any progress or delay  apart from COMING SOON. Coming soon might as well mean COMING NEVER.

Therefore as with us, we advise to BEWARE of CRYPTONOMOS / GIGA WATT. I regret to say they are POTENTIAL SCAM not delivering single contractual commitment.

[Will update if there is any progres - be it bad/ good; meanwhile evaluating our legal options]

I fixed your link. You're welcome.

Oh, please. Stop already with the whining. Your tokens have not been issued yet. Don't blame them for your inability to read and comprehend. It's really not hard, unless you choose to make it hard.

When your tokens get issued Cryptonomos will send you an email with instructions on how to transfer them to your Giga-Watt account. In the meantime, if it's not too much to ask, and not too difficult for you to understand why not go here:

https://giga-watt.com

Which takes you to a web site that looks a lot like this, but with out the bright arrows:

Then click on the "Sign Up" link which is circled and pointed to by arrows in the image above. If you can find it in yourself to do that, you can be ready for the moment that your tokens are issued. Because once your tokens have been issued you can then transfer them to your Giga-Watt account ready to be used for a miner, or rented out to someone who needs tokens.

If this is too much to handle for you, maybe it would be better for you to buy and hodl. That's pretty easy.
