181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it worth for me in my situation to start btc trading? on: October 02, 2019, 10:21:29 AM
Hello

I have spare $300 that my friend suggested to use to start cryptotrading, as this is the maximum amount of money affordable to lose. I have a month of free time to trade with btc. Currently I don't have income and I have three ways to set it: cryptotrading, freelancing as programmer, or full-time job. I chose to expirement and try luck with trading and freelancing, if there is no success with any for september, I will choose full-time job. If I can make about $500 per month with all of these methods or some of them, I can forget about job for a while, which is highly preferrable.

So my questions are:
  • Can I learn and do trading for month to make at least some money(around $100-$250), while doing freelance programming? I can arrange 3-5 hours for each activity per day.
  • Should I start trading on OTC exchange or regular exchange? I tried bisq to sell btc, but it seems like there you can do it with rather huge amounts of money I can't afford to make offer with. This is because of security deposit of 50% of trade amount. Maximum offer amount I can make is 150$ whereas there are more offers which range $100-$1000. They also seem more profitable for btc buyers due to less interest, than that I chose. After scrolling thorugh bitcointalk, my only options left for OTC are localbitcoins and paxful. And I don't really like any of these because of shitty customer support on both. Moreover LBC nowadays has attitude to KYC everyone, I don't like it because I would keep my personal information than send it to someone
Yes, you can make money even if you spend 3-5 hours a day. but make sure you have market knowledge as well as TA knowledge. That will make you a lot of money if you anticipate the right direction of the market. Margin trading is a type of trading that helps you earn a lot of money in a day. You should try in Bitmex or Bitmax exchange.
Instead of throwing a free BTC to the Bitmex, I suggest learning about financial security for the rest of life. After having enough practice with the demo accounts, it will be the same experience rather than wasting time with emotional trading on the margin trading accounts. It will turn to the sports betting if there is a skill for analyzing the market conditions and having a proper technical, fundamental research ability IMHO.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: October 01, 2019, 07:45:07 PM
this is my current investments. do u have any suggestion

20k$ = BNB
20k$ = ADA
20k$ = EOS
20k$ = XEM
20k$ = NEO
10k$ = XRP

I recall CZ selling his house to buy bitcoin. But you sold your house to buy altcoins. You both are cryptocurrency believers with different approach. If the investment is still recent, please I would suggest you sell 50 percent holding in each of the coins and put it into bitcoin to minimise risks. Not investing in Bitcoin will be a great undoing for you.
I know you talk from experience but I don't deny the fact that altcoin can start to go up without BTC. Altcoin season can start without waiting for the corrected BC price which did the same thing in the last months. The OP clearly breake the rule which he shouldn't invest more than afford to lose but I wish good luck in this hard journey which requires a lot of patience.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss on: September 30, 2019, 09:24:11 AM
Personally , I lost nearly 1500$  from day trading. I do buy back theory now to recover the loss and invest on potential ico's. now i am going on a slowly steady way ,  if we get greedy then  we end up with nothing.

whats your solutions do you do for cover the loss?
I think in this kind of market which is the bear market we must need to think another solutions in order to survive in this current situation. Just for example if we have shitcoins we must trade and sell it in order for us to recover the losses that we got.
Shitcoins are not going to give the hand crypto trader for surviving in the deep water. The solution has to be a effective, efficient and the long term durable. Trading the top altcoins is my personal choice than spending time with the useless altcoins. Thinking about the exit on the bear market conditions is not the job of the professional traders, only weak hands can see a getting out of the market as a solution to the current mentioned problems.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A quick disturbing question on: September 29, 2019, 03:43:59 PM
I have noticed in the last bull run that happens in late 2017 that time I saw several coins that have very low volume also start rose in the bull run but it's not guaranteed all shit coins or low volume coins will rise with bullish momentum.
l think also so, as you mentioned the chance is not the same for every coin, this event will the same, which has been happened in late 2017, throughout this situation every coin didn't get up, because of that all of them, it doesn't matter low volume or high volume coins, they will not show as same progress.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promote bounties for how good the projects are and not for reward on: September 29, 2019, 01:49:49 PM
Tune in to my recommendation companions, you shouldn't promote bounties only for benefits of it,else you will wind up picking phony or trick projects since your attitude is toward profits, this is similar missteps some bounty hunters are taking, begin picking generally excellent projects, their prizes probably won't be attractive however trust me they constantly justified despite all the trouble at last.
This consultation is right, we should trust our supporting project. Purpose of bounty campaign rewards is support. You are being frustrated, if you are working for money. In legit project you don't need to wait more than 2-3 years to earn profit, If you can desperately support.
Waiting for the 2-3 years is a long time and the other opportunities will not wait for us to finish the old tasks in the crypto market. If the investor has no patience in the legit project, selling on the first price jump is a profitable trade for me. Hundred percent gain is not enough for the new traders and they look for more in the crypto markets. Greedy bounty hunters also sell the bounty earning to the first available market orders after they transfer their bounty rewards to their exchange wallet address.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we boycott the Facebook Coin (Project Libra)? on: September 29, 2019, 12:41:41 PM
There are a lot of threats against the Libra from the France, US and Germany but as the biggest social media Facebook developers are able to handle these manipulations in order to give their customers the best product. Stable coins will lose the popularity in the exchanges in case of Libra gonna be traded on the well-known crypto exchanges.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing does not have to wait long on: September 28, 2019, 05:06:50 PM
yes it may be true that investment does not have to wait a long time, as long as you see an opportunity to sell above the initial capital price, I think you will benefit from it, but remember that profits depend on your initial capital, if you want big profits then you don't focus on one coin, use another altcoin to add income.
Swapping around the random altcoins will lead to more losses and there is no way back if the trader has no experience in this field. Using another altcoin for increasing the initial investment is not safe for long term investors and these kinds of crypto trading can give negative consequences. If the investors want to get a result from their crypto portfolio, taking a swing crypto trading positions can help them to maintain their goals in the short term period.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: INVESTING BASED ON MERE PREDICTIONS on: September 28, 2019, 04:42:49 PM
A lot of people come online making rounds series of predictions on what becomes of prices of the two most popular cryptocurrencies. This action has cost series of newbies a fortune which they lost to investment based on such predictions.
2017 was a great year for some people in bitcoin and ethereum trading while it was a doom of some most especially those that were then new to cryptocurrency. Some of these people are yet to recover from lost to the investment at the time bitcoin traded at over $18,000. We have seen another one recently with the last and very short bull run.

Will this be another blow to the prediction based investors?

Sometimes me seems that our world is full stupid people, which are prepared to invest money on the first pointer on forum. Would you invest your money on the advice of a stranger on the street? No? Then why are you investing money on the advice of strangers from the forum.
If the person doesn't ask the crypto investing question on the crypto forum, where he/she is supposed to ask? In the online forums, blogs, platforms people search the receipt in order to solve their problem and today's biggest problems are linked to the banking system. The current crypto industry may not fully replace the whole banking system but the banking mechanism will die slowly. Before this happens, every person has a right to invest in developing crypto projects like other investors.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are to be blame on: September 28, 2019, 04:03:15 PM
Scammer never disappointed about what have they did, always doing the same thing to get investor money without care how much they have earn before, always looking new way to earn much money with wrong ways.
Overall it is not fair to steal the money from someone, but scammer does it without problems. The scammer is always looking for a new way for two-timing investors, to put it another way, they let investors very badly. It might well sound unbelievable, however, there are still some people, who trust them. These people like to repeat the same mistake.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: characteristics of fraudulent projects on: September 28, 2019, 02:57:59 PM
when investors and the crypto community already believed, but the team said differently!
- The team did not respond well to the crypto community.
- The team is very shady and does not provide updates about their projects on the telegram & social media channels.
- The team plans to take a vacation
- The team blocked accounts one by one from each community who questioned about the development of the project.
- and finally you are banned in this group  Grin

it's so annoying, how you feel?  Roll Eyes

It is really annoying but some project even talk with their community through a dummy community managers that often tell the community to wait till she receive the answers from the team head or technical.
In addition to your listed points, they dont have an end of the ico sales or bounty program.
They like to spend more than 18 weeks to promote their bounty.
Very suspicious behavior by the member of the support team. The telegram groups are full of scammers, the coin beggers, the stubborn people like asking the same answered question several times, etc. Every time the support team chooses an admin from the marketing team and this guy never has an idea when the project will end the token sale or when the X error will be fixed in the Android application of the project.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust New wallets with your fund on: September 28, 2019, 02:19:19 PM
Scammers are prepared to grow old with their bad habits so they will always find a way to feed on innocent victims, even if we have all know how they will try to scam us what about the newbies that are coming into crypto world every day? unfortunately they will easily fall victim
Unfortunately, new investors are easy to target for wise scammers. Learning through failures and having a small experiment with each project can add a decent experienced to their investing life but some investors are not patient enough to wait for the right time and project for investing the rest of their financial savings. After falling a few more time, new investors cook in their own oil and they will never go for investing in the shady projects. Scammers know how to attract the investors but investors have to accurately check the legitimacy of the investment initiated project.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: September 28, 2019, 01:57:00 PM
If I had $1000 I would invest 40% of that amount in BTC and divide the remaining 60% among various alt-coins of which I am most confident about.
Generally speaking, it is not a bad amount for investing, of course, l would prefer to invest 40% maybe 50% of this amount in BTC and moreover with 60% of this money l would choose top altcoins, they can be ETH, BNB indeed for longterm they have more chance to reach the previous maximum aka ATH prices. l would really like to say that, it is worthwhile to invest again with the compound interest form the crypto portfolio. l don't find it enough for mining, this amount will be better for investing or day trading instead of mining.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: September 27, 2019, 10:05:02 PM
I just find out that some coins might start with very low volume and marketcap and end up growing big? true or false? i tracked back some old coins that start with trading volume around 6k and end up in millions, is this still possible today?
It is not impossible in the bull market but you must have a durable fundamental analyze for investing in the low marketcap altcoins. Having a positive argument for any project doesn't mean your subjective arguments will be the same as the objective reality. For reaching the million-dollar marketcap, a specific altcoin have to be analyzed carefully and SWAT analyze will help the investor for choosing the good ones among the altcoins. The price of the token doesn't matter, the total marketcap is more important for having correct results during the research. After making a diversified altcoin portfolio, investing the 20% of the initial investment amount can insure the risks of the market risks belong to the low volume altcoins. Make your research independently and never invest the amount which you can't afford to lose.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC Requirement for Bounty Managers before they require KYC to bounty hunters. on: September 27, 2019, 09:05:11 PM
I really see no reason for Kyc and that is why one should ask if there is kyc or not before joining a bounty campaign. Also why would the bounty Manager be asked to do KYC? You think the Kyc is imposed by them? they are only arriving according to directives of the project team.
If there is no KYC, preventing the scam applicants becomes hard for the bounty managers. Teams hire the bounty hunters and the bounty managers are supposed to do the clean job during the management of the bounty campaigns. Asking a KYC will reduce the cheaters and bounty abusers, otherwise, the scammers will use steal the articles from the other forum members. We have seen similar cases in the past bounty campaigns but now the rules are strictly protected thanks to the proper management by the reputable bounty managers. The stake counting is the easy part of the whole story, many things turn at the backside of the door and the shady bounty participants don't hesitate to defend their rights after getting caught during the KYC request.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: September 27, 2019, 08:19:12 PM
There is always risk or luck can help but luck is not eternal  Cry

It is more about risk in Trading and not luck. When you are trading, there is a lot of ways on how you are going to trade, depends on what will suit you, there is this thing called day trading, margin trading, and so many more, of course there are also many approach or strategies that you could apply to avoid too much losses, because you can't trade without any losses at all, luck is just for gambling because it is all just random algorithm which you can't predict that is why you would experience much more losses in gambling than in Trading.

Trading is an easy job where you could minimize your loss to the point where you will think that you are not losing profits at all if you are going to spend the right amount of time, efforts, and hard works to learn every edge of Trading.
For completing the full trading course each trader needs to stare charts for five years, no joke. This number is estimated by the different groups of professional traders who have more than 10 years of financial market trading experience. After having an inside feeling about the price patterns which repeats itself periodically, the additional tools like indicators, oscillators,  fractals on the charts become useless for the pro trader.

The luck factor can not be denied in the markets for the short term trading but it loses its meaning after making several trades which weakens the role of luck. The long term thinkers always ignore the luck, they have sufficient appliances for reaching their goals without external factors with minimizing the risk for maximizing the profit.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we stop promoting scam project? on: September 27, 2019, 07:04:37 PM
Most of the bounty hunters are not as wise as you, even they don't read the bounty rules properly. So, I don't know the majority of the hunters will follow this rule or not. I think Bitcointalk and other bounty platforms should be do something to make it real! They want to collect millions of USD when they don't have even 500K USD! To prevent these scams, bounty hunter needs to be Equal!
There is no considerable requirements from the bounty managers and the teams also don't want to ignore the capability of the bounty hunters. Equal conditions also look like impossible due to the reward distribution which depends on the ranking system. Stake based bounties pay better rates compared to the fixed bounty campaigns but the differences can not be spotted with the naked eye for an inexperienced bounty hunter.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A quick disturbing question on: September 27, 2019, 05:44:12 PM
I think it will remain the same. we know that one of the causes of the recovery of an altcoin is because of the needs of investors. so, the volume sometimes indicates that the token is used by many people or not. if there are coins that always have a low volume, I think sooner or later the project will be abandoned and will disappear. coins that do not have volume in the long run, I think it indicates that the project is being neglected.
The low volume coins have the same features over the long term, these coins don't have any value. The dysfunctional projects forward the old ideas from the good projects to the new whitepaper and produce a new solution but this solution doesn't satisfy the requirements of the crypto investors. My experience with the dead volume coins suggests avoiding if I ever get stuck with such a no-exit way(selling the token for breakeven) situation. Experienced traders and investors can detect the unique projects and the professional traders prefer to invest in the good volume coins than wasting time with the pump-dump ponzi scheme coins/projects.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is much effective than ICO nowadays. on: September 27, 2019, 04:10:21 PM
If we look at the process of the fundraising from the effectiveness point, the IEOs suits better the main credentials compare to the weak option for the token sale which is ICOs.The real working product is the main stuff investors look in any project and to be honest, IEOs are a more genuine competitor in this comparison. Nowadays, investors will continue to invest in the usual IEOs on well-known exchanges like Binance, Bitforex, Latoken, and small exchanges will use the reputation of the reputable projects in order to attract a new crowd to their next IEOs.
199  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm a full-time crypto trader. Here're my recent trades & answers to questions on: September 27, 2019, 03:01:29 PM
Just closed the short after the price reached $8,000 level and then crossed it several times.

The level the price fluctuates currently is substantial not only technically, but also psychologically.

There is a strong sell pressure by the bears and the institutional investors are testing the price velocity before deciding the direction of the main trend IMO. These price levels act as a support level which can turn to the resistance in case of continuation of the downtrend. From a psychological point, the panic selling has not started yet and if emotional traders accelerate the market speed this will likely turn to similar downfall cases happened before 2017. What do you guys think about the next move by the institutional investors and financial markets-crypto related hedge funds?
