181  Other / Off-topic / Re: The skill of Self-discipline on: March 26, 2024, 07:28:38 AM
Be aware and mindful.

You can only discipline yourself if you aren’t too in your head.
Some people are way too entitled and confident and thus they think
that they are the best and that they are already perfect but that is simply
not true. An individual should always be constantly improving and development
does not stop. So by being aware of what you should change or keep, you will have
a clear focus and a great self-discipline
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TimeLock for 40 years payday? on: March 26, 2024, 05:40:50 AM
OP I hope you take this as a genuine sign of concern.
What could possibly have led you to think about this? Usually we would just
hold and not do anything about timelock unless you intend to
give it to your children or grandchildren. You could just accumulate bitcoin
and still be able to take profit whenever as you please and then safely store or
invest them again.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a place called Africa really Exist in the world Economy on: March 26, 2024, 02:25:45 AM
I am an African, but I bet you if we begin to talk the African thing today there are a lot of things that are going to evolve which we might not be able to handle here. The African problem is actually more than the corrupt leaders that we are accusing. This set of politicians were not like this from the beginning, our forefathers we are upright and truthful and not very close to corruption but after the emergence of the westerners many things changed about our culture and believe. The corrupt leaders learnt the wrong way and they are unable to do without what they learn while the teachers have actually changed from the way of corruption. The African problem is more than Colonization, it is a long orchestrated conspiracy and it will not change any time soon. It is African that can save themselves and they can't do this when they are heavily dependent on their oppressors.

Is it also possible that this was the result of a constant
increase of capitalism. Nowadays, people just put money over
everything. It does not matter whether it is ethical or unethical,
the important thing is to always gain money.

Because money is king. Money gives you power and a place
in the world. People used to have a spine and stand up for what
is right but now the government is littered by people who are selfish
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of These price tragets are realistically possible in 2025 ? on: March 26, 2024, 02:03:53 AM
Bitcoin is the most realistic and most likely to happen in 2025. I am betting that as this year ends,
bitcoin would have already hit the $100k mark so $150k does not seem too far away anymore.
Many people are saying ethereum is realistic but I think it will be a bit lower than that.
It would be close like maybe $10k but I don’t think it would reach $12k as soon as 2025.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFTs just marketing gimmicks with no added value? on: March 26, 2024, 01:14:52 AM
NFTs, meme coins, smart contracts, altcoins, etc. are nothing but scams.

These are the buzzwords that scammers use to lure people in and trick them out of their money. Bitcoin is the only one that is not a scam.
Many people enter the crypto market only to find this out the hard way after they lose their money.

If the government was doing their job ethereum and all the rest of the shitcoins would be shut down to prevent these scams from happening.
Of course that is why bitcoin exists because governments are totally clueless, incompetent and corrupt.

Why do you think ethereum is a shitcoin?

A lot of altcoins are useless and most of the time end up dying
even if the projects are legit.  there are still chances that
altcoins are scams however not all of them are and ethereum is
a very bad example of what you would call a scam.

Bitcoin is superior to ethereum and all of altcoins but some of them
aren’t scam and actually provide some really unique features that
could be implemented in bitcoin in order to improve it more
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safeguarding Blockchain Sector from Malicious Actors. on: March 25, 2024, 11:13:04 PM
Because of the bull run prompted by the bitcoin halving event,
it is expected that many would attempt to get richer by other means.
I mean there are always a lot of dangers and threat when it comes to crypto
but even more so when the market is generally looking up.

What the exchanges have to do now is to just strengthen their
barriers. We have seen many centralized exchanges lose their clients’ money
and we would not want to be at the other end of that. Therefore I think
It is much safer to use a decentralized exchange rather than its counterpart
187  Other / Off-topic / Re: Preparations as being key to personal growth and development on: March 25, 2024, 10:19:47 PM
The problem is that a lot of people have dreams but
it’s usually just that. They plan and plan but they never
make it happen for whatever reason. Personally, that is one
of my biggest fears. I have such a huge vision of what I want for
my life and to not see those plans come into fruition would be
devastating. I wouldn’t know what else to do.
188  Economy / Economics / Re: Ignore Financial accountability to your detriment on: March 25, 2024, 09:49:16 PM
Well of course you are accountable of your money because
it’s yours hence why you can never blame anyone if you end up
losing all your wealth.

If you want to be better and more responsible
in holding your money then take a step back and write
all your purchases from now on. Take a look at which you spend
money on the most and see if you really need to be doing that.

Being financially secure would require lots of work and patience
but it will pay off greatly.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 25, 2024, 09:19:56 PM
Let them think what they want to; if they think Bitcoin is a scam, it doesn't make any difference for Bitcoin. Bitcoin has already proven what's in it; those who want to call it a it a Bitcoin scam don't really know how a decentralised currency works. Bitcoin wasn't created to make us rich; it was a p2p decentralised cryptocurrency to make a solution for a borderless payment system without a third party. How would Bitcoin be scammed when it wasn't controlled by anyone? Due to a lack of proper knowledge, a few people think Bitcoin is a is a scam. We aren't concerned about it.
If Bitcoin were to be a scam how can it be so that Bitcoin has developed this much from 2009 till date. I think those who thinks Bitcoin is a scam has little or no idea about Bitcoin.

If Bitcoin is a scam how was the scam meant to go? The adopters of Bitcoin is on the rise even countries like El Salvador are benefiting greatly from Bitcoin.

Good point out mate!

I think lots of people associate bitcoin to those projects who
rugpull. I have heard lots of people fall victim to new projects
and then they give their money they receive a few profit
and then suddenly the developers will run. The thing about bitcoin
is that even though technically the creator of it is nowhere to be found
it is still functioning perfectly and exceptionally well may I add.

The people who do not want to adapt bitcoin are just heavily misinformed.
There is nothing much we can do about this but give them the proper
knowledge. Maybe they think that bitcoin is too good to be true but
that is why we should tell them that there are still risks so as to not
paint the picture of a too good to be true kind of project because it is not
190  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Do you ever believe such story if yes how true is it on: March 25, 2024, 11:41:10 AM
I think he was just a really strong dude with great endurance.
If he had true great powers, he would not have died. His death
implies that he is human just like all of us. Still he was strong
and truly amazing so he must be recognized. Maybe what he did
were all entertaining but did he really do anything to be considered a hero?
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest Only In a Coin that Increase in Value in this Bull Run. on: March 25, 2024, 10:47:32 AM
I actually think that it’s easier to make mistakes during a bull run.
Not all coins who follow a surge will always and constantly be
increasing in value. I agree that it should be a good time for taking
profits and we should take advantage of it as much as possible.
If we hesitate too much, we might miss the window of opportunity
192  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which is more saving for travelling? Public transport or personal vehicles? on: March 24, 2024, 02:22:41 PM
Hmm it would depend on how much you are going to travel
and for how far. If it requires you to be in another city, I think
it would be best if you just took personal vehicle but if it doesn’t
then a few minutes on public transportation wouldn’t hurt you nor
your wallet.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 seed words + passphrase on: March 24, 2024, 01:44:04 PM
and if the password were strong (truly random) then it can't be memorized over long term. they still have to write it down so that they won't forget it (after like in a year)

Actually everything has to be written down - seed words and password - even if it's something very simple.

Lol. I know lots of people who say that they could remember
their passwords or whatever it is without writing it down because it is so
common and easy to remember but maybe that is the problem. It is so common
that it could be literally anything so it’s not memorable.

194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is saving screenshots of useful information and BTC transactions? on: March 24, 2024, 01:08:36 PM
I wouldn’t consider it too safe to be honest. Especially if your phone isn’t as secure.
Anyone can take your phone, open it and see your gallery. Anyone can also
hack into our system and see the many transcripts or receipts saved as screenshots.

Tell your friend that it’s not about bad days but instead just a precaution if
ever is something to happen. It’s okay to be on the safer side.
195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing in on 60k, Again! on: March 24, 2024, 12:43:37 PM
-snip-
We never know the exact prediction for the ATH that can be reached before or after the halving, the current market scenario has the potential to see a rise higher to reach the actual ATH and we will not know when it will be realized, but I am sure we will soon see a price of $100k for ATH next. However, the current market scenario is not very suitable for short-term trading strategies because the movement patterns in 2021 can occur at any time, so consider all aspects of market movements before investing at prices above 60k unless you decide for long-term investments, if the next correction occurs it will last 50k before the bull market is ready to set its next record ATH.
While some traders take advantage of short-term volatility to take profits, you say this is not the right time for short-term trading. Market patterns are difficult to predict, but some people who are truly capable of analyzing them manage to profit from price volatility. I agree that long term investment is better than trading, but not everyone agrees on this especially if they are a trader.

So far I don't think $100k can be reached before the halving, unless there is a huge influx of funds flooding the market ahead of the halving. Such a scenario is starting to become hard to hope for, so now it may be time to focus on the long term in the hope that $100k can be touched a few months after the halving.
The $100K  price can be reached before the halving and what we are seeing now in the market is the last market correction before another pre-halving bull happens. The major concept of the correction is to strengthen the market but that doesn't mean the correction is not good for short-term trading/investment it only depends on the trader's/investor's capacity about the market.

Aafter the approval of Bitcoin ETF, the price of Bitcoin has increased significantly and touched an all-time high. With just over a month to go before the Bitcoin halving, we have seen the highest Bitcoin price in the Bitcoin market. The market has now corrected from there after the price of Bitcoin hit its all-time high, bringing the price of Bitcoin to $64,000.You said bitcoin price correction doesn't mean it is good for short term trade or investment I think you are wrong. Normally we wait to invest when the market dips then we buy but now the market is correcting so now may be our time.

I also think this correction is not good for traders and short-term investors because bitcoin dropped suddenly, and I bet no one can react in time when bitcoin drops. Don't forget that bitcoin is unpredictable and also since we cannot predict when bitcoin will rise and when bitcoin will correct, holding for the long term is always the best strategy. When bitcoin rose to $73k, everyone expected it to continue at $75k or higher, but it eventually corrected. How many traders predicted this and opened a short position? I dare to confidently tell you that no one dares to do that.

I actually took out my coins before the correction. The key
here is that when you have made profits and it has reached the
price you wanted it to reach just take it out and even though
there were a couple thousands that I missed, I was glad I did not
get stuck when it corrected as that would have been worse.

Battling with FOMO is definitely not for the weak.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Total Funds Hacked In Crypto To Date 1,746,210,700 on: March 24, 2024, 11:44:41 AM
It is truly concerning in this time and age the amount
of money hacked. These hackers are becoming better and
better as their technology progresses.

This is a great opportunity for other people to create
technology that could advance us into the future and into
the safe space of crypto. Metamask snaps have been in talks
since the start of the year but how is this project a guaranteed
good execution of such feature?
197  Other / Off-topic / Re: Assisted Suicide on: March 24, 2024, 11:15:26 AM
Life is valuable and thus should be regarded as such however
sometimes there are people that would suffer more alive
than dead. There are people who are already bedridden and
can not do much with their life anymore. Additionally, their family members
also suffer. I know that maybe their family members do not complain,
they also suffer greatly from taking care of the sick one. So to me,
even if it’s a little painful they should do it if they really think
it’s the right choice for them.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin feerates telegram notifications on: March 24, 2024, 10:34:07 AM
Is it legit?

I have heard of multiple cases
where people get viruses into their phones
or whatnot through telegram. Somehow, it’s
always telegram that seems to be the
problem. I always see it being the main cause of
most hacks from people I have heard stories about.
It’s better to be safe than sorry
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be looking only at the brighter side on: March 24, 2024, 03:48:57 AM
We should never let FUD affect our decisions.
A lot of people have experienced FUD and ended up selling their
coins. Just imagine what those people feel right now.

Regret and shame would be the primary emotions. But even if
you are someone who have lost due to impulsive decisions, you should
always look ahead and check how you can get back on your feet
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: March 24, 2024, 03:22:18 AM
new projects sometimes too comes with a high hype and this are the features to look out for in other to be careful.

Exactly. Which what fools a lot of people.
I have nothing against trying out new projects
especially if you know you could take advantage of the very
short and quick period where you can get some profits out.

Some people see hype and take it as a long-term opportunity
but no it’s not. We are yet to see a new project reach success
as great as bitcoin.
