181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VISIO COIN - ultimate video streaming & sharing platform on: March 01, 2017, 06:49:45 AM
Sindren is first dev in history to store IPFS hashes on the Blockchain. This image shows how he has done this prototype concept in the Vidz blockchain using hex code.

This blockchain based IPFS hash storage and decentralized search function will only increase the use cases and the relevance of the VISIO BLOCKCHAIN.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3v5oysel9divg2n/Visio%20ipfs%20hash%20storage.png?dl=0

Florincoin and the Alexandria project have been publicly storing ipfs hashes on the blockchain for a few years now, the most recent messages can be viewed on the block explorer at https://explorer.alexandria.io/messages/ and the media can already be viewed through the web based browser at https://alexandria.io/browser

Thank you very much for this. I was unaware of this. Is there any kind of search function for the messages or does the florincoin block explorer just categorize these chronologically in the order of time sent?

Devon Reed is an inspiration to those behind Visio. We hope to have some kind of positive and relevant cooperation with the Alexandria Network

The explorer doesn't support searching by comment content, instead it lists them chronologically.

There is a separate API for searching comments though:

POST: https://api.alexandria.io/alexandria/v2/searchTxComment
Code:
{
"search": "alexandria-media",
"page": 1,
"results-per-page": 20
}

It will then return any matching Transaction IDs and Message contents, ex:
Code:
[
{
"Hash": "5780a12026cb8795d89370a576edd504cadcb5a7439295e1553e93097777ba4d",
"Message": "alexandria-media-multipart(1,3,FRp2atggDeys2MMkcRrdNmx4HT7EUa5rWV,6aae07ec273fa873242659206b5fa0b8f59a07dd71ffe80ad31fd802a45b07b8,H59N3ARx/x+fWorFpTypwqigeC40v7nkgtu/Z4+N4PfHO8qcRJAf6LNgz2k864SrT+27IozR/Itxm6u98P9nGKk=,):e someone put a \\\"whistler\\\" into the fire... when I asked about it, what was described to me sounded a lot like a grenade. You're welcome to join the Alexandria slack and bounce some ideas around (or just chat with Devon Wink) at http://dloaslack.bitspill.net

I'll be keeping an eye on Visio myself and have joined the Slack, it's better if we all succeed, there's enough room for everyone (ok, maybe not everyone...)

The Amazon S3 Outage was a perfect example of why Sia is needed!

And the another free random Steam key: CMRM0-0XI0X-0Y585
Claimed by somebody else. Somebody might be watching your account with a script for steam keys, you might want to post them in a more creative format.

Doesn't look like there's a script, I actually just got that right before you but hadn't had the chance to post here yet, got caught up in Slack for a bit, so that's about 2.5hours it sat unclaimed

Edit: although it can't hurt to post the keys in a puzzle form just in case

I just left a negative trust rating to cancel out my prior positive rating until the account is restored

Hey gramen,

FLO is happily hashing away!  Wink Updates on Alexandria can be found in these places:

I've found this twitter https://twitter.com/Official_Florin at coinmarketcap. So what's official twitter?

@Official_Florin is the official Florin coin twitter (Imagine that Wink)

@alexandria is the Alexandria twitter (A large project using Florin)

Sounds like you are describing a freelancer.com style site?

There's a project like that already (https://reinproject.org) which utilizes multisignature addresses and a mediator to settle disputes

If all you want is copy-pasted posts and believe that'll help then you'd be better off hiring a developer to make a crawler that automatically copies every post over for you somewhat like what https://bitcointa.lk/ did in the past, it's not active anymore though.

@bitspill
Seems someone was lil' faster and didn't thank. That was key for Homeworld Remastered Collection + digital soundtrack.

Yea, being 18 hours later I was expecting it to be gone, too bad they didn't at least say _something_ as thanks.

I'll take the 8 spots and pay you in 2 weeks. I want every other spot, so 1,3,5 etc

2 weeks? Eh? There's trolling, and there's taking things to the ridiculous levels.

Really because it's already been agreed upon in PMs

That's fair enough. I just personally think that 2 weeks is pretty crazy to pay for a raffle spot Cheesy If you guys have agreed it in PM, then fair enough, still seems bizarre. No offense was intended btw.

Well it's still unclear to me as an outside viewer of this raffle/suicide mission, that any spots are taken or reserved besides Liad's as the OP doesnt reflect that.

@Killyou72, do you now own the rest of the 8 slots? if so , is this closed now, has either of you TWO one yet?

Please let me know as i was considering getting a spot, but maybe not so much now.

thanks!

Pretty sure I have all the spots he has not been online yet to update the OP

So..... people are actually ok with you saying "I'll take the 8 spots and pay you in 2 weeks. I want every other spot, so 1,3,5 etc"  so in 2 weeks you will pay debts for a raffle or purchasing an item right now?

Are you paying some sort of interest on this loan?

Curious why anyone would do that, unless ther is more to the story you aren't mentioning?
thanks!

It's rather quite simple, killyou72 is expressing his intent to claim those places now however will not be able to pay until 2 weeks -- OP says "I'll choose a block to determine the winner once the auction is full" so said chosen block will be more than 2 weeks away so the funds are paid prior to the actual raffling

The bit that has been agreed to via PM is not that they'll raffle first pay later but rather to allow a longer reservation time provided he takes all the slots instead of the short frame of "Reservation: I can reserve a spot up to 24 hours for any member, and up to 48 hours for a high trusted member."

Edit: A couple more notes, killyou72 is a fairly regular physical coin enthusiast with a high trust score and has previous business with the OP "Liad.Services 2017-01-18 Won one of my raffles, was easy to deal with."

I like this concept and sorry if my query has been raised before but whats stopping some pedo ring from storing kiddie porn on the sia blockchain and ending up on your hard drive?
If everything is encrypted then you could be harboring this kind of vile filth on your own physical equipment. Encrypted or not its possibly still there. That would be my only issue with this tech. Can anyone speak to this and either alleviate my concerns or confirm them?

Nothing stops anyone from using the network and hosts never know what they are storing.
