1801  Economy / Economics / Re: World War 3 has already begun, but it's an economic war, not a conventional one. on: January 20, 2015, 01:23:47 PM
And the war is also on how to put down bitcoin. When they realize that one day btc will the future of all payment system and how powerful it might get, it only makes sense to destroy it at the early stage.
1802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2015 The Year Bitcoin Rebooted on: January 20, 2015, 01:17:45 PM
One good thing happening at this moment is that right now it's a good chance to grab the coins as such low price. People have been lamenting how they have missed the opportunity, how unfair the coin distribution was but never did they realize it's never too late. Btw, I just bought some today
1803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reality Of The 2015 Bitcoin Price Swings! on: January 20, 2015, 01:12:24 PM
Not bad.. nice video but there's certainly more he can do to elaborate on why the price swing is not necessarily negative and how it relates to future of bitcoins.
1804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I Missing Something, Why Make Receiving Bitcoins Difficult? on: January 20, 2015, 01:07:17 PM
First thing first, try not to treat noobs in a mean manner. The community needs newbies and the way we give names and telling how incompetent only turns off people's attention towards bitcoin. When I talk about bitcoin, there's never a dumb question. We all start from somewhere.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sucks its nearly impossible to sell tangible goods for BTC! on: January 20, 2015, 12:59:53 PM
If it doesn't sell right now, it doesn't mean that for the next few years to come, it is going to remain the same. Chill out. Things will change and bitcoin will be there.
1806  Economy / Economics / Re: Proof of Stake from an austrian school perspective on: January 19, 2015, 02:47:47 PM
But there is a clear use value of Bitcoin : Bitcoin allows you to insert a row in the Blockchain.

Even if Bitcoin is worth nothing as medium of exchange, inserting a row in a database that is global, can't be censured and can't be altered has a value.

Nice explanation. That makes sense on the meaning of intrinsic value where the blockchain itself holds key to everything.
1807  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia Bans Several Bitcoin Websites on: January 19, 2015, 02:33:24 PM
No that won't stop or shutdown bitcoin network entirely. Bitcoiners can still exchange bitcoin with one another and use it for payment as long as it is among individuals. That's barely a hiccup.
1808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A low Bitcoin is a good Bitcoin on: January 19, 2015, 02:22:24 PM
But don't stay low for too long.  Grin it's bad in terms of morale.
So now it's a good time and opportunity to buy. Let's push up demand and price.
1809  Economy / Economics / Re: 80 richest people on the planet have the same wealth as the poorest 50% on: January 19, 2015, 02:20:14 PM
The difference is that fiat has been in existence for as long as creation of our current banking system. Bitcoin is only around for 5 years plus. So essentially you can't compare directly between both.
1810  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex Is This The Owner? on: January 19, 2015, 02:14:19 PM
I would trust all my bitcoin with this guy....
1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC costs the consumer money on: January 19, 2015, 12:38:06 PM
Another option is they can charge the same price applies to all customers for the product but for those paying exclusively with bitcoin, will get back some refund. That refund is equivalent to the fee charged by credit cards to the business owner. If you guys get what I mean.
1812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where are all those millionaires? on: January 19, 2015, 12:25:34 PM
Because they are waiting for the right time to buy. And millionaires don't become millionaires for no reason. They know when to seize the opportunity.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When there is a liquidity crisis, how could bitcoin help? on: January 19, 2015, 12:16:29 PM
I think bitcoin can easily overcome that because it is divisible whereas fiat can't do that. Whether bitcoin is 1 million or a dollar, it's a matter whether we want to take the last eight digit into account. For fiat have to make up the shortage they will simply printing more money.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If 1 million BTC users keep 10BTC would it save us from dead? on: January 19, 2015, 12:11:50 PM
I can tell you one thing, if only the community speaks in one voice. However, so many people around have so many different opinions which make it hard to set direction for bitcoin. Fact is that is never going to happen. What we can do is keep on telling and reminding to HOLD
1815  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest Hurdle To Currency Adoption on: January 19, 2015, 12:03:31 PM
Fiat also experience same phenomenon. What's even worse is that if you compare with people who are absolutely bankrupt and those who held billions, what would that tell you? The gap is far wider. Fact is there will never be a fair distribution in this world.
1816  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or stockmarket? on: January 19, 2015, 11:57:17 AM
Bitcoin offers more opportunity for development considering our percentage of adoption is still rather low. Compare that to stockmarket, how much do you expect it to increase per se? Likely if you imagine bitcoin having all the payment processor and credit card shares, what would that translate towards bitcoin price?
1817  Economy / Economics / Re: How Come Bitcoin Dropped? on: January 19, 2015, 11:53:06 AM
Basically it's a case of lack of fresh new fund going in to buy up the coins. New coins by miners or whoever will end up in the market. If there are more supply than demand, naturally seller will be more than willing to lower the selling price in order to conclude the sales. though this is the case, more likely I believe it is a case of manipulation by the big whales to cause bitcoin price to drop.
1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Bitcoin Box' Can Process Payments With No Web Connection on: January 19, 2015, 11:40:53 AM
Something which I don't get is how does the transaction get written to the blockchain to be validated by the network. For example, if let's say two smartphones exchange bitcoins via NFC, then in this scenario, how does the transaction get confirmed?
1819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perfect Money payment processor adds Bitcoin accounts on: January 19, 2015, 11:32:47 AM
I never use perfect money before. So it would be a help if you can answer this. Does it have a concept similar like paypal for example when you want to pay someone is usd, and your account has bitcoin balance, you can actually convert your bitcoin balance into usd to pay.
1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC costs the consumer money on: January 19, 2015, 11:28:29 AM
Yeah, you can say it's correct but credit card levy an unnecessary cost to the business owner who passes the extra cost back to the customer. Thus in effect customer is paying more for the purchase. Whereas for bitcoin, there is no additional cost, which means business owner can charge less for the purchase of the same item.

So what do ya think? Which one is better?
