1121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn, just bought 0.25 btc and now it's tanking! on: March 07, 2015, 01:08:17 AM
AGREED!!
Keep buying stonerider!!
I'm tapped out. I have just enough to buy 0.18, not 0.25.
Let us know as soon as you gather the remaining 0.07 and put your next buy order.

We'll know it by going over $300!
I thought we would come in $ 300 today, but it was not this time.
But it will rise above $ 300, sooner or later.

Pretty range bound at the moment. It's quite difficult to see the direction from here. One thing I expect to happen is that there will be a lot of of resistances if it starts to go up and I expect the price to retrace quickly once it touches 300. Looking at the order book, there is already quite a number of sell order put in place
1122  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: March 07, 2015, 12:59:02 AM
buy bitcoins as much as you can .. no one knows if bitcoin will still be used in the future or it will be a thousand or million of dollars worth..

Yeah, you can Provided that you know what you are doing. Taking a loan to buy bitcoin may not be the right approach unless you are willing to take the risk. Nobody can correctly predict the direction of the market, so you might actually ended up putting yourself in a difficult situation. Always buy with the money you can afford to lose
1123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I sell my EUROs? on: March 06, 2015, 04:52:59 PM
If you are waiting for your fiat to gain in value and still being able to buy the same amount of stuff that it can get you today, you can just continue to wait and wait. Because in another few years down the road, you will see that your spending power is shrinking. Time to think of on how to diversify and correct the situation.
1124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Safer Compared To Other Digital Payment Platforms on: March 06, 2015, 04:46:44 PM
Hopefully the survey is getting as much attention as possible and sending the message across that bitcoin is safe. People generally need to realize that when there are incidences about hacked exchangers, people losing money because they trust some online wallets has totally nothing to do with bitcoin.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the rumor about the latest 50,000 BTC auction true? on: March 06, 2015, 04:37:49 PM
I don't know how that could happen but I'm sure the buyers already set the target price or the maximum that they are willing to pay based on existing market price. Slightly overestimated by 5% might be possible, but 30%? I'm sure they have done their homework considering the large amount of money involved in the transaction.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you "scared" that Bitcoin might actually succeed? on: March 06, 2015, 04:33:56 PM
I don't know about the rest here, but I definitely don't have doubts when it comes to the future of bitcoin and whether it can succeed. The only thing I'm afraid of right now is not getting the opportunity to buy as many coins as I can afford before the price actually shoots up too high for me to get a good bargain price.
1127  Economy / Speculation / Re: More volume and positive trend line : RETURN OF THE BULL MARKET ! on: March 06, 2015, 03:24:43 PM
Let the good times roll. Probably the bulls are just taking a quiet rest after charging through all the resistances in the past week. Hopefully beginning of next week, we should again see the price resuming the climb. A more modest target for now would be the 300 level. I think it's more achievable before we start aiming higher.
1128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Buffett was right? on: March 06, 2015, 03:19:15 PM
I always believe value is somehow attached to or I would rather say is assigned by the community. If I were to pay someone using bitcoin, both parties must basically agree on a predetermined amount. That amount somehow translate to what we call value. Forget about intrinsic value and that sort of stuff. If I pay in bitcoin and the seller is happy, likewise, I feel the bitcoin is worth spending in exchange for the goods and services the seller provides, who cares about the rest on what the others think.
1129  Economy / Speculation / Re: dump is happening on: March 06, 2015, 03:11:56 PM
No it's not. It's basically maintaining at the current 272 level and becoming range bound between 270 and 275. Probably the drop which we witnessed about a day earlier was a temporary reversal in another direction that goes against the prevailing trend and this happens all the time. I see this as pretty normal.
1130  Economy / Economics / Re: POLL: In the US, is a $250,000 household income middle class? on: March 06, 2015, 03:07:12 PM
If the cost of living in that area is high, practically I can understand why the need to classify that into middle income household. Because whatever the household earns and then compared against what it costs around you, that basically represents the spending power. Nevertheless, if a household with that income were to going to shift to another outskirt area where practically everything is cheap, then it will be different scenario.
1131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you deny evidence? bitcoin has deluded all us on: March 06, 2015, 02:55:05 PM
Kind of misleading. I don't think it will be dead or forgotten anytime soon. Talk about mass adoption, I'm sure it will be there some day. It just takes time. If you track the progress it has made compared to 5 years ago which practically worth almost close to nothing, you can obviously see the difference. I guess there's no point trying to convince someone who has lost faith.
1132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trojan targetting bitcoin! on: March 06, 2015, 02:32:56 PM
Having lower number of malware programs doesn't mean anything. I bet there are still users losing their coins either due to carelessness, ignorance or for whatever reasons and most of the time it sounds easier than it seems. And there were cases of coins getting stolen having nothing to do with malware, it was just left over there for the taking.
1133  Economy / Economics / Re: one question tickling my mind on: March 06, 2015, 02:13:41 PM
It doesn't matter how long it has been kept, the coins will still be there in the blockchain. Technically it's also not the Bitcoins that are stored, it's just that you know the private and it can be used to access the coins. Well that is provided that the guy still has the private keys to the coins and managed to retrieve it. I can't imagine the 50k that used to be worth almost close to nothing will be now worth millions.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are Pigs on: March 06, 2015, 01:54:29 PM
Forget about banks. Use bitcoin instead to directly buy your domain. That is if you don't mind spending your bitcoin. You can go to namecheap dot com and get one and basically there is no other hidden cost apart from what is displayed on-screen. You can in fact get the hosting package as well and pay in bitcoin. Note that I'm not doing advertising for them, just to let you know that there is such service accepting btc as payment.
1135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investopedia article on: March 06, 2015, 01:34:21 PM
Obviously it's not the first article on bitcoin that got published on their website. But the exposure is certainly useful considering the amount of visitors the site is getting per day plus their mailing list. Even if any potential investor were to search an article on investment not related to bitcoin, there's high chance they eventually will find out about bitcoin somehow, and that's where it makes the difference.
1136  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: March 05, 2015, 12:19:11 PM
I don't know how you come to that conclusion but It's far from being dead if you were to ask me. And talk about media interest, there has been an active discussion going on news site not specifically onto btc alone. And the news site won't certainly write about the topic if there's no interest whatsoever in it.

1137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fair Price of Bitcoin: $518? on: March 05, 2015, 12:10:54 PM
Without looking at the formula, it's certainly still undervalued considering the potential for growth and for world wide mainstream adoption, years down the road. If you consider the market size of existing money remittance service, it should be far higher than that. that is the area where I see bitcoin will most likely excel at.
1138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many Bitcoin news sites? on: March 05, 2015, 12:05:38 PM
It's a hot topic where people want to read news about btc. If you are into online marketing, you can also see that the keyword "bitcoin" has a lot of competition by advertiser to bid on it. Quite a decent amount there especially when you type the keyword "online investment", the word bitcoin will also pop up. So you might imagine the news site are doing pretty well off from the ads earning.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people should get rich and how much is rich? on: March 05, 2015, 12:02:26 PM
For me, I don't see or worry about the subject of getting rich. What is more important is that whatever fiat money that I have right now should still hold the same value or worth some day in the future. That is my bitcoin still retains the same value compared to fiat which is actually losing its worth.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: March 05, 2015, 12:00:12 PM
If you consider the potential that the price might one day be going up further than what it is today, then by all means it's still not too late. Obviously spending time regretting and getting depressed won't do anything to help. It still goes back to you on how you want change it.
