1801  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is for the important things on: March 22, 2023, 07:46:01 AM
Money is an important thing for life, without money we cannot do many things, with money we can bring all things or happiness, but we must remember that money is something that can help others, so when we have a lot of money, multiply it to help others, and many crime cases are motivated by money, cutthroat competition is usually motivated by money.

That is why people are chasing money as without it we cant do anything. Also we should spend it on those important things like its better save it than spend it to useless things though sometimes you need to buy those to get happiness but if ever you've got a chance  not to buy it then it good. Dont also forgot to help those people in need like giving them foods or some donation as it can greatly help them
1802  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 22, 2023, 06:03:57 AM
Right now I prefer less risk than big profit which will automatically become big risk, in investing of course we have to have a strategy, we can try big profits but with a small value, it's too risky to invest with large values especially when we don't know what the current trend is in front of the product we choose.

You can't gain big profits if you have only a small investment, meaning big risk; big profit is also a big investment. The greater the investment, the greater the risk. I know you are one of those people that are choosing less risk as you know you can earn profit on it but only small.  We do have our own preferences, but for me, if you can balance both, or, in the case of a bigger risk, minimize the risk, then it has a high chance that you'll earn big, which is why you need to learn first.

1803  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: March 22, 2023, 05:23:19 AM
I think the biggest factor that prevents a person from becoming rich or still poor is because of a mindset that doesn't want to change, sometimes people are too rigid so they don't want to keep up with developments that are happening, for example someone who trades conventionally and currently most conventional traders find it difficult to compete with online traders.
the inability to adapt to the times and not being able to keep up with technological advances, will indeed make a person lose more opportunities. because today's biggest opportunities come more from technological advances. like the example you mentioned. that now trading online is much more effective than trading by opening a physical store. and well it all starts with mindset.

You should evolve like the technology but still this depends on the country as other country mostly first world country those old method of earning money is not effective anymore like there are already into it like selling juice. Even also you follow the Innovation if the country lacks of opportunities then still it is useless unless you got an online job . Most of the reasons why people stay poor is lack of education and also not have a decent paying job
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 22, 2023, 03:30:49 AM
For sure, those big casinos follow this. Thanks for the information, as I was not aware of this. I am also one of those who doesn't like KYC, but I still do it because I don't have a choice since those casinos that are not regulated, let's say illegal, do not have KYC, which we like, but if we win big, that is now the problem. Let's do KYC only on those big platforms to make our data safe, and we can still continue playing, so we don't have problems when we win big.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying cheap is best formula on: March 22, 2023, 02:35:57 AM
This period do not encourage trading or investment but at the same time when price is down is good opportunity to buy cheap and when its explode you will gain it. Nothing is lost in bitcoin, those holding for long now are the great benefactors but if you buy this period is more safer.
(...)
But for me, if you are a trader, you must try to become profitable even bear market or bull market.
And about "Buying cheap is the best formula", this is very easy to say but difficult to execute or achieve. Because this is already proven over time, we don't know what the "cheap" you want to mean is actually having another dump. It's very difficult.

This depends on the trader's strategy because there are traders that will stay away from this kind of market because they keep losing or their strategy won't work, which is why some of them will rest as the market is unpredictable. It is the same with "buy low, sell high": we can't predict if it is the lowest point so that we can buy it. Instead of just focusing on the formula, focus more on how you would execute it to gain profit.
1806  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: March 21, 2023, 05:08:08 PM
The thing here is that social media platforms are the best place ever to advertise a business and there are more people on social media than else were. We are in a modern world where people didn't have to stress their selves about things
The best place for business advertising are Instagram, LinkedIn, and all the rest so social media is also part of a business's life on social media, there are a lot of people who are looking for business or jobs so business people should advise their products on social media.

Do you know that users who use social media dislike it when adverts are everywhere? I dislike it when a social app becomes cluttered with these ads. However, I do not blame them because they need to generate money for themselves and the app itself; any company that does not have a source of income from what they create for people will die because they will lose interest; nevertheless, I believe that when they do advertisements, they should be moderate; they should not litter everywhere with ads to the point where it would no longer make sense.

That is why most of the social media sites advertise it as a suggestion or sometimes show it in a video, and it is not like games on the phone where you are bombarded with ads. Most of their ads are not forcing you to watch for a reward; they are just pop-ups at random times. Also, most of the ads in social media are not the same as Google ads or something; they are about the product that might interest you to buy or any services or foods that you will see online that can make you buy them also. It is more business than socializing.
1807  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: March 21, 2023, 01:00:50 PM
Don't dream that the presence of bitcoin can overcome poverty, what we have to understand is poverty will always be anywhere and anytime, the presence of poor people is the reason we can eat, live at home and so on, if we want to buy groceries, of course the poor who planted, then the poor harvested, and the poor sold the crop.

Imagine if they did not exist and we were all wealthy. Who would be selling food on the streets? Our work force? our volunteers? They have big factors, but I think we want to end their struggle, like having food on a daily basis so they don't struggle on it, and also having a good house they can live in. It is always a balance to run the economy well, as without their presence there will be catastrophe for sure and collapse will happen.
1808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which of your friends and relatives deals with bitcoin? on: March 21, 2023, 10:42:26 AM
Quote
He explained to me how to register on the exchange, how to buy and sell, everything was clear and I started trading a little, at first my friend helped me, then I started doing it myself. I always kept all my coins on the exchange.

Do you stop trading after knowing it's not good to leave your funds in exchange and then you moved your to ledger wallet. How do you go with the trading you learned from your friend and uncle you stopped everything after you noticed isn't pretty cool leaving your funds in an exchange or were you also moving your funds between like whenever you want to trade you send back to exchange and after you finished trading you take out from the exchange to your wallet. How do you manage to figure it out or after discovering this forum you quit trading entirely?

He meant that he ain't holding any money on exchanges like we used to, where if he earns a decent profit from trading on an exchange, he usually sends it directly to his ledger, but still he needs to leave some funds to continue trading. He didn't say that he quit; he is just safeguarding his bitcoin as part of his security. It doesn't mean that every time he wins a trade, he then transfers it; it just means that if he accumulates profit by the end of the day, he will then transfer it.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people promote gambling sites . on: March 21, 2023, 09:46:56 AM
It's because of greed for money. Let's say someone is promoting this, and the way they are promoting this is that they play on that platform and win big, which attracts gamblers who hope that they will win but turn out not to. They just keep promoting this to earn money, nothing more. Even others will scam you by promoting scam casinos. I just recalled that there is also a local online casino here where almost all of the influencers and even the most famous people are uploading videos and earning huge amounts of money, and they are also saying, "If they can do it, you can do it too; sign up now!"
1810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade?? on: March 21, 2023, 07:35:15 AM
I agree, those altcoins are very unlikely to offer good returns in the next bull season, but I won't agree with you that all altcoins should be ignored and just trust bitcoin.
Yes, no altcoin can replace or will be safer than bitcoin, but when it comes to profitability, there are some coins that perform better than bitcoin. ETH and BNB, in the previous bull season, both of these coins, were more profitable than BTC, and I also believe that in the next bull cycle, the same thing will repeat. ETH is not better than bitcoin but also not inferior to bitcoin, and that has been proven so far.

Apart from few altcoins the reality is that majority cease to exist or lose there value over period of time. You are right in saying that alts like ETH and BNB have retained there values over time and are now recognised alts. If you have to invest in alts then keep major portion of your capital reserved for Bitcoin and good approach is to invest 20 to 30% in alts. Be careful in choosing alts as I said majority cease to exit with time.

Only a few of them are still standing, but most of them died a year later. It still depends on the person where he will be investing because the gains in altcoins are greater than in bitcoin, but the risks are also higher. Mostly people are investing in the top 10 altcoins as they can see that it is promising, and also having funds on bitcoin, it is good to not put all your investments in one basket, destabilizing so that you won't lose it all.
1811  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 21, 2023, 06:35:12 AM
(....)
What is everyone expecting in 2024/25 bull run? Is a 10x a good return or should we be hoping for more?
I don't think it will be in 2025. Because in my own opinion, it will start this year, but I am not sure when maybe the last quarter of this year.
And since the Bitcoin block halving will happen in 2024. That's the time I can say that there will be a lot of money will flow in the cryptocurrency market, and I believe new all-time high will be coming on year 2023-2024 range.

Let's hope that it is the same as the past halving and that the price increases. It will begin to decline in the fourth quarter of the year before halving. Then, during and after the procedure, it will take a few months, 4 to 5 months, before it begins to rise again. This was the case before, and I hope all of us can ride this wave. That is why I started to store bitcoin right now, as I do spend part of my salary on it.
1812  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 21, 2023, 05:35:14 AM
Yes, I have felt that way. In fact I am in that situation presently. Having to work 12 hours everyday at a job I hate with everything in me just because I want to have enough to feed myself, my family and still enough in the bank. I return everyday with one bodily pain or anxiety. If I had the power, if I could I would retire to the suburbs in a lake house where I wouldn't care for anything else in the world other than just enjoying peaceful nature. But then, this is not the case. Just two weeks ago, a colleague slumped and died at work. It didn't take up to two days, he was replaced. I was sick to my stomach because of it. Because we want to be free and financially independent.

We dont have a choice but to work. We have the same feeling and i do have a lot of hatreds about my company that i work for but i cant say it or resigned as we have nothing to eat for sure . I dont know until when we feel this but i hope that you'll get better too. I have a tip on you i am really fun watching documentaries it is better for you to watch also documentaries about poor people , dont have a jobs and etc as it can boost your emotional health and be thankful even if it is stressful
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which of your friends and relatives deals with bitcoin? on: March 21, 2023, 04:34:40 AM
Securing your money first before planning to invest more That is really the best way to start having a bitcoin because, as you know, there are a lot of issues right now with getting hacked, so best way to store it safely. When talking about physical friends, I'm not really into bitcoin, but for online friends, I have a lot of them who deal in bitcoin, and the truth is that they are the ones who taught me this. We live in a province, so I am not shocked that people are not into crypto.
1814  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: March 21, 2023, 03:05:23 AM
I wonder if higher education will help for entrepreneurship?
I am more interested in how much theory will help in this, because during a long study we do not get practice, this will be possible only when we start doing business, until that moment we will not be able to know how much it will help us.

This can help us if we need a license, but in some cases it can be obtained without a higher education.

Statistically, 95% of entrepreneurs have a bachelor's degree or higher and I wonder, for those of you who are involved in entrepreneurship, how useful was higher education for you?
Higher education can provide valuable knowledge and skills that can be helpful for entrepreneurship, such as business strategy, finance, and marketing. However, practical experience and skills gained through hands-on work are also important. While having a degree may not guarantee success in entrepreneurship, it can provide a strong foundation and may be beneficial in obtaining certain licenses or certifications. Ultimately, the usefulness of higher education for entrepreneurship will depend on the individual's specific circumstances and goals.

That is why those entrepreneurs or businessmen—we mostly heard that they go to school again—do so to acquire knowledge as well as certificates. Most business owners don't go to business school before they start their business; they are just normal people, and when they got into entrepreneurship and got success from it, they got hungry for more knowledge to be more successful, which is why others still go to school.
1815  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 21, 2023, 01:57:10 AM
OP I clearly understood what you said. In fact there are many bets depending on which bets are fixed in some cases. Like wrestling game it depends on betting I think it is fixing. Then the wrestling game is probably fixing depending on the size of the bet. But you and all of us who are involved in gambling should bet on all the sports betting available. Then there will definitely be no possibility of cheating. However, gamblers never gamble with these things in mind. Gambling is a game entirely based on luck. With good luck you can definitely win from here.

Nah, he means that they are trying to analyze your bets and make you lose. Let's say you are playing crash games and you are always winning in 2.xx below in some time and they check that you already won a lot, so they will be altering their algorithm to make you lose in one bet and mostly when your betting huge. Though I don't have hard proof on this, I can feel something wrong, mostly when I keep winning.
1816  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: March 20, 2023, 04:21:26 PM
If you can add a second/side job into your life without causing detriment to existing factors in your lifestyle, then why not? Work harder, plan smarter, progress faster! If you manage to balance something new alongside everything else in your life, there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't end up better off or more financially stable, if combined with financially intelligent/responsible.

There are no way to find a side jobs that you wont sacrificing any , like your time , sleep or energy because my self right now even i do work remotely as well as sidehustle i still don't have time to play on my child and also lack of sleep which you really need to sacrifice those things for you to achieve those things. Lucky those people who can still manage their time but again don't go over it that your health will got affected.
1817  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: March 20, 2023, 02:27:40 PM
    -   Here in the Philippines, if I compare to other countries, I can say that the prices of goods are better and better somehow.

Maybe from the food, except for other vegetables that are expensive, the rest is also okay, then from the rentals, you can get something that is also cheap, but it depends on the place of course. But when there is a crisis due to inflation, it is also a bit difficult, but now it has been fixed.

For sure, you are in the middle class or higher because you can say that. From rents, most of the house rentals increased due to the electric bills and water bills that also increased. In addition, the price of canned goods, which most low-income and minimum-wage earners complain about, is rising. I do have a lot of friends in government (contractual or job-ordered) who say that their salary is not enough and want to increase their salaries. Though those street food vendors have increased slightly, it is understandable given that all ingredients have increased.
1818  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 20, 2023, 01:17:42 PM
The price of real estate back then and now is different. I preffer big profit on cryptocurrency although the risk is high. I mean how many time it takes working and saving to invest on real estate. Also with current economic condition it is really struggle for people. Awareness of risk is needed.

Real estate is starting to get boom again unlike past years because of covid but again there are inflation which people are now struggling for a living. If there are really economic problem mostly the real estate is having a problem as there are only few investors and buyers but still you just need a buyer and the house or land that you are selling is not getting rot as long as you just maintain it. Though people prefer crypto because they can just invest on it in their homes and effort less.
1819  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 20, 2023, 10:16:07 AM
There were times when I usually just don't want to keep money but instead just spend it. I get tired saving, investing, and overall just making money back then. But I realized, money runs everything; it pays for rent, keeps a roof above my head, pays for gas, and food of course. If I were to just stop making money, I would forfeit most of these in an instant and I will be living my life horribly. But yeah, good thing is, I got some motivation that I really needed to get going and here I am still, trying to make as much money as I can for myself and for an early retirement (hopefully).

As a man, I think most people will experience this feeling at least once in their life. Sometimes we feel tired, and bored with everything because we have to work all day to earn money.

Honestly, since I have a family, I have not had a minute to rest, even when I go to sleep, I have to think about how to make money, to be financially free...Sometimes I want to give up everything, but then I think about family, we live not only for ourselves but also for our loved ones. So we must never stop.

That's hard, but one of the causes of this is your job, I think, because it is not enough for you, like you cut it short every time payday comes, and for sure your work is stressful. You know you should prevent that because you'll have a mental breakdown soon. We are almost the same; I am chasing after money and I have a side hustle, so I don't have time for my family, though I have rest, but it is not enough to sustain us. But again, we have family to feed, so we should make them an inspiration to not quit.
1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby on: March 20, 2023, 07:15:15 AM
Nice decision. I can't recall the thread but I have read it as well. I haven't done something like this yet, because everything is for my baby whatever I am earning. I am holding a decent cryptocurrency, so they can spend from there. Because I don't intend to sell them right now and even if I sell, I will keep some for the future. Not gonna make my wallet empty anyway. But for those who can't afford to accumulate a big amount of cryptocurrency then better to make savings and invest in crypto. It would be for your baby or for your future.
Great job. Parents should always make the children the top priority above others so investing in bitcoin is certainly a good start for a parent. Not necessarily that you will start with a huge amount, but an initial investment with a minimal amount can do. After all, it’s not the amount that won’t matter in the long run, but most likely it’s your faith on your investment and how you will overcome the risks investing in bitcoin, particularly when some price crash suddenly happen.

It still has a long way to go, so for sure she could add additional bitcoin to it if they have extra money. It can accumulate overtime and you won't notice it. It is also best if you have like 1% of your salary intended for bitcoin so that five years from now you can accumulate a lot and it can help you. Treat it also as an emergency savings, as in case of emergency you can use it. Others who hold are still doing this for emergencies and as an investment.
