801  Economy / Economics / Re: Things you should know about Money mindset on: July 15, 2023, 11:51:29 AM
if you don't work hard to study, be lazy and stingy, then poverty will surround you.
Not really, if you were born by a billionaire parent where they have many autopilot big business and can't be competed by any other business. Even you're not study hard, be lazy and stingy, you're always rich as you don't need to do anything. There's no guarantee you will success after study very hard, productive and being generous.

Life is unfair and you must able to accept it.
How many people are like that in life?
It's fair that their parents have worked hard to get a better life, and they are the next generation to inherit that common fruit, and justice always exists in life, we We should not look at some cases and ignore the whole.
I have also asked a lot of questions in the past about why people who are born in a good family, and also people born in difficult families, have really big stories but don't fits the topic of this channel so I don't want to express it. However, I still want to reiterate that life is fair to all of us.

All of the poor sectors are really thinking about it even my self but this kind of mindset is very toxic because you will complain everything, when I started to read books about principles of life it is really best to not compare your self because that is where that mindset starts, you'll strat comparing your life to others even it is not applicable at it is very different, that is why having a gratitude mindset always in everything, lets say right now you should be happy that you joined a signature campaign here and earning decent money because others want it, rather than complaining that you need to do 2 jobs at a time so that you can survive on daily basis unlike to others that they are born wealthy already.
802  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 15, 2023, 10:22:30 AM
If i have financial freedom i will go to a resting place together with my family, Life is too short and we only live once so we need to enjoy life which is very important, there are a lot of people or a business man spending thier while life to thier works and businesses and they all have regrets at the end because they forget to have time a precious time with the family because they are always busy and when the time comes that cancer strike them they start thinking about the past and have a big regrets so sad.
This sometimes does not occur to some people. namely about the importance of spending more time for the family when we already have financial freedom. Maybe I will also be like you. get a quiet life and avoid all the chaos of the world that makes our lives stressful. relax with family and create a warm atmosphere every day. I want to make a house with a large yard with green grass and fresh air. I want to see my children and grandchildren playing and running happily in the big yard.

That's why I'm so motivated right now to work hard to make more money and keep expanding my horizons. and also quite active in investments that can bring passive income for me.

Maybe people's mindset is different and it will become a habit too, even though the achievements of what you wrote on the first page of the tread were about when we already had financial freedom. Yes. To be honest, I like your style when you have achieved it by spending time with your family while embroidering clothes from wool and laughing together. very beautiful sound.

Most of us had this simple thought and dream when we were still not rich or financially free. But my question is, will we really stop doing business and investing to spend more time with family and loved ones as we become richer and achieve financial freedom? Or when we have a lot of money, and we want to earn more, more because our greed is bottomless. I really doubt those thoughts and dreams won't come true when we become rich. Because I have seen many people claim the same, but when they are rich, they still work harder to earn more, they never want to stop to rest.

That is also my thought, or either they can't stop because if they stop, they won't be earning as much money as they used to. Just imagine those rich guys right now; they are still working hard even though they are rich. You have more life than them, as you will strike boredom, but for them, they are just working hard. The only advantage is that they can eat what they want, they can buy everything, and they can go everywhere they want to relax, but again, after all that, they still work hard like there is no tomorrow.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 15, 2023, 08:30:51 AM
I think the biggest sign that you aren’t addicted to gambling is if you can stop and feel no ill effects. For example, we’re all addicted to our phones. Leave the house without yours and you feel naked and incomplete. If going a week without gambling leaves you feeling similar, like you’re missing something you need, then maybe you might be addicted.

The phone addiction you mentioned is right, if you go out without your phone there is a kind of boredom that you will feel because we are so compactible and accustomed with our phone but we can't even help that or can we ?  Grin Maybe for online addicts, phone addiction could be termed as positive addiction. Yes if you miss to gamble for sometime probably because you are busy in another schedule and you don't regret not gambling it means you are walking away from addiction. In fact, for an addict no other schedule come first if not gambling and betting the day's game.

It is still addiction if you can't leave your phone at home, no matter if it is positive or negative, but again, it is best if it is positive as it brings us something about it like a good effect, unlike negative addictions like gambling, where you can't do other things now as you want to gamble as well as lose tons of money. But again, if you can survive not playing gambling for a month even if you are bored, then for sure you are not addicted because mostly when boredom strikes, we gamble like we use our phone if we are bored and keep scrolling on it.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 15, 2023, 06:41:27 AM
No, it is not advisable. You don't need some secret wisdom to read charts and identify trends. Anyone can do this if they take some time to learn. Free groups are fine if you just want to learn and hear others opinions. If they start trying to shill you something and asking for money that is a red flag. There is a lot of snake oil salesman in these types of groups, especially the paid ones.

If others can learn and do it, why not yourself too? Tutorials are very accessible online, on which you can search, watch, and read them for free and learn trading, rather than relying on those signal groups that are just milking money for sure.Though again, newbies want to earn immediate money and don't want to learn it because they think that if they just join a signal group they will save time, but it turns out that as time goes by they are blaming the signal group for their losses, and more funny about it is that they don't know why they lose on a trade.
805  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden's administration absorb students from loan debt. on: July 15, 2023, 05:43:07 AM
This is really good and for sure the students are happy about this but i do hope that those people in middle class or on poor sector binefit it because they are the one that needed this and also they need help. Rich people can still pay the tuition that is why it is better to exempt then and their slot should be given to those worthy people. For sure also parents are happy on this as they are now focusing on their foods and needs and not thinking about paying those loans
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: July 15, 2023, 04:35:11 AM
When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?
Look at the definition of investment and then you will know who is a "Bitcoin investor". When you invest on something, you hope for the value to appreciate in the long run and then you sell it for profit. How can it be called investing in bitcoin if you are actually buying bitcoin to use it as a regular day day transaction currency? You spend it, you no longer will be making any profit. So yes, the term investor refers to only those who are holding bitcoin with the hope of making profit when the price goes up. It is the same for everything you invest on.
As long as you are hoping for profit, it is an investment, even if your main purpose is to spend it, but at the same time, you are hoping the price goes up so that the value will be higher. But again, this is nonsense because all of us are benefiting from it, no matter what the purpose. We do have our own perspectives, but let's just respect each other. No matter if they are called investors or not, as long as we are using Bitcoin, then it is good for us.
807  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: July 15, 2023, 02:37:23 AM
That's what the government has to do and I hope they really make the right policy,
it will be difficult for sure with the increasing cost of living but the salary is still the same,
as long as the policy is right, food prices will be suppressed and controlled.
It is difficult to suppress and control anything that has increased, especially when it comes to food. But that doesn't mean the government doesn't have the capacity to do it, because as long as the government is really serious about dealing with it more quickly and precisely. The government can definitely make policies to reduce food prices in its territory even though it takes time to do it slowly, but this certainly won't be a problem if the goal can be more certain that in the end the people will no longer experience an increase in their living costs except for people who basically wasteful.
You are right. It is not easy for price of things to reduce,  I went through a research to check price of food stuff in my country 30 years of ago. I saw that things never reduced but it keeps increasing till date, I think the price   of things can't remain the same at a particular point
, it is expected of things to go high. Depending on the government thinking that they can bring the price of things down may not happen sometimes, it is just better people get double source of income than waiting for price of things to come down.

The price keeps increasing, but The salary also increases, but it is only small, which is not balanced for the price of food today. This has really a chain effect because of the expensive fertilizer and the fact that the government can't regulate it. When fertilizer keeps increasing, the price of food also increases as planting becomes more expensive than in previous years. Even the farmers are saying that they aren't  getting a profit and prefer to do work in the city.
808  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 15, 2023, 01:40:24 AM
I though it right to share this with the forum as I think this will save some persons from a whole lot of drama and stress in case of a deceased.
I got to find out about a POD form which simply means  PAYABLE ON DEATH  from a friend yesterday  after his father  passed on, leaving them with some reasonable  sum of money in the bank and upon check, the father already has a POD form which saved them from the stress of getting a lawyer and all the legal processes to claim the money but rather all they had to do was get a death certificate, take it to the bank along with the POD form and the money will be issued.

I felt this was very important because I know how much effort and money it took us to get access to my late fathers money in the bank after he passed on.

I think everyone needs to get this form especially  if you have any holdings in the bank.

N/B: no one is dying anytime soon but death is inevitable.

Is this applicable to all countries? We do have relatives right now that died in an accident both husband and wife, and one of their children but until now, the bank has been processing this with the help of the mother of the husband, which takes too long, but all requirements have been met. If using POD, does it speed the process? But thanks for the information. I was not aware of this, and this is very helpful just to be prepared.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 15, 2023, 12:22:10 AM
Without proper discipline, it is still useless because we are still on our own. No matter what advice we give to the gambler, if he is not disciplined, then he will still gamble. The problem with a gambler is thathe would say that he would just spend 1 hour at the casino, but later on he will break it and spend more time and also overspend the allotted budget. If we have self-control and discipline, for sure we can follow it, but not that is where the problem starts.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: Fix the money, Fix the world. on: July 14, 2023, 04:15:40 PM
We can't reny the fact that there are these social segregation between poor and rich. This is the balance we need in our economy. If we all are in equal status, how will the manpower will operate? No one will work physically, if i have money i will just use it to business or investment.

That is really the problem: if all are equal, who will be your employee in your business? Are the owners now going to maintain it? How about the demand of the customers, which you can't cater to all? There are really purposes, but what I don't want is that poor people are getting poorer, and mostly we are paid less even when we do the job well. Like the minimum wage, there is almost no increase in it, and the prices go up, which makes it more difficult to live. That kind of indifference would need to be fixed, and rich people should pay more taxes.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 14, 2023, 02:56:04 PM
Now I ask how come it deviated to being an investment?.

People didn't call it an investment, they turned it into an investment property. Right, bitcoin was initially created to be a decentralized currency not controlled by anyone. But it is we investors who have turned bitcoin into a speculative asset, all because of our behavior and usage. But honestly, if bitcoin is not an investment, it is not volatile and not profitable. I wonder how many people will use it? Are you sure you are getting into bitcoin because you need privacy, not profit?
Bitcoin is originally designed as a digital currency but since it’s adoption is still far from realization, then people use it as an investment instead because of its highly fluctuated price. And with volatility comes high chances to earn once it’s value reaches an all time high. That’s why as long as it has a volatile and unpredictable price, people will still be seeing it as a good investment.

People in need of money see the potential of it; just imagine the price of it before and compare the price now; it is really a huge jump, and the first thought on this is that it can make you rich if you bought bitcoin in the last decade. Even though it is made for internet money, which is still used by others right now, people are seeing it more as an investment, and that is the way that they want to use Bitcoin, which we can't blame them for, and we should also be thankful for it as we have also benefited from it.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic problem, why is fiat difficult to hold. on: July 14, 2023, 01:39:08 PM
I don't know but I think myself also experiencing same thing as well the worst part of it is that holding at hand for a specific purpose if that purpose weren't accomplished within the 2 to 3 days I would end up using that money for other thing that I think is more valuable than what I planned to run with the money before.
When you hold ATM card thinking you won't touched the ones stored in your account you may still found out that same money you've been something else have been used for another refer purpose at times is very annoying seeing yourself ending up doing something you didn't even place in your budget for that week/Months.

That is really a huge problem; it is like you can't control yourself because you keep spending it, but again, I am also the same with that; sometimes intended money is spent on other stuff, which I regret afterwards, but having control over your money and being able to save it for later use is best, unless you are doing some groceries but are caught short because of the price of foods, which is when you need to re-adjust your budget. It is really best not to spend your money on something intended for you, as you'll be out of budget before your salary comes.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: July 14, 2023, 12:01:08 PM
Honestly if you differentiate the situation of the people in the cities and provinces, poverty might have a new meaning to it. If you don't have money in cities, you can't buy foods and any other basic needs. In some provinces, as long as you have rich soil, with different crops and veggies, together with river with fishes, you can eat. They don't have money but are they consider to be in poverty if they can survive everyday life?

It is not all about food but also shelter and education. Let's say they have a house but don't own it or have access to education. Yes, yes they can survive on a daily basis in terms of food, but how about clothing? the education? Are they going to school? Also other basic needs like pens, paper, and other stuff that is used in the home. Poverty is really a broad term, but it is really different in provinces and cities because you'll die in cities if you don't have money, unlike in provinces where you can pick some vegetables beside the road.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 10:14:21 AM
Cheating is really one of the reasons that you'll get into fights; it is the same as what you stated in the OP, as we really don't want it and we want a fair game. Also, let's say if you bring a girl to the casino and someone disrespects her, that is also one. I think that's only the reason why you'll get into a fight, but usually it is better to stay away when there are fights just to be safe, and if you are in that situation, it is better to not fight back unless it is the last resort.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 14, 2023, 08:11:34 AM
~snip~Gambling is different with trading or investment which it should really be separated. There should really be a specific amount or budget which it is allocated for gambling
on which it is really not that right on thinking up on any investment on the time that you do play so that it wont really be giving out that kind of thinking along the way.

The amount of the budget for gambling must also be as minimal as possible. because it is only as entertainment not to seek a large return. If someone continues to expect a lot from gambling, they have probably already lost quite a lot at gambling. Gambling and investing really have to be separated, because if you don't separate the ongoing investment it will be disrupted when the gambling loses and requires other funds to make another bet. In the end investment funds will be cut. then do gambling as entertainment so there will be no burden and no games that are too big.

That is really a huge problem if you don't separate it unless you can control yourself because it is likely that you will spend your intended funds for investment on gambling because the mindset in this situation is that you will just gamble it because it is sure that you'll win and you don't need to invest anymore as you'll earn huge money from it, but that is not the result. It is better to invest first, like do the hard work first, before having fun, like gambling, so that you have peace of mind and can also have fun without being able to use the unintended money.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: July 14, 2023, 05:03:19 AM
Feeling remorse comes after you lose, not before you gamble Grin every gamblers always believe that they will win and they lost money only to end in depression and regrets, there are certain rules to gambling that every gamblers must take very serious.
That is what happens to many people who gamble. At first, they feel confident and say that today is their lucky day, so let's gamble. But after playing a few games, they lose more and more, so they regret it. That's common, but that doesn't deter them or rest for a while after losing. They even returned to play and wanted revenge for their loss yesterday. And they indeed lost money, but they are still okay even though they were sorry. We don't have to do that, and if we regret it, we should try to reduce our gambling to avoid bigger losses.

Even though they felt remorse, they still continued and came back the next day. That kind of gambler won't learn any lesson, even after losing the budget that was intended for others and thinking again about gambling after losing it. For sure, this kind of behavior is already indicative of an addiction to gambling, and if this happens, the gambler can't control himself no matter what. If we feel regret for sure, our natural reaction to that is to play less gambling and save our money but it was opposite to others.
817  Economy / Economics / Re: Fast Transportation Makes Economic Turnover Faster on: July 14, 2023, 03:53:08 AM
Totally agree with it. Most progressive country have a very good transportation system. Like our country before, in our history, we have the most advance train system that made us progressive but after the war started those train system was neglected and more roads build. Instead of developing it for more effecient way of travel (cheap and fast)
it's the same as in my country which is building fast trains, to reduce transportation time between the two regions. although there are many pros and cons, this can be felt for the long term, where the train is a means of transportation that is free of obstacles and can estimate time quickly. in the future this aims to lift the economy, and if successful I'm sure there will be more development for other areas considering the costs used are not small, but for the long term I think the train will be the main mode of transportation

The problem in the long run is that more mountains and trees will be cut down to make way for these innovations, which is really the exchange to make life less time-consuming and convenient for us. We need to touch nature to continue living. I'm not sure what will happen in the future if we still see trees or only high buildings, but no matter what, if we don't do it, we won't improve, and the cost of you and other products to transfer to other regions is huge, which will also lead to price increases.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Ignore this Classic Business Law or Follow Your Instincts? on: July 14, 2023, 02:48:11 AM
This is hard because that is huge money, and you should be cautious because, for sure, you are investing in a company that is sure to profit. That situation is rare because not all the time those start-up companies will be that big unless they have a really promising company that has its own uniqueness. The problem with that is that he is only basing his decision on its model and plans, which for sure indicate that the start-up company is still struggling, but if he looks at the bigger picture, like whether the company is promising, then for sure he could give it a try.
819  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 14, 2023, 01:30:24 AM
Those online loan sharks are pretty dangerous and people really need to stay away from them. In my country, these online loan services provide loans to people who are in need of money by advertising their services all around pretending they are doing a great thing and they don't ask for a lot of money, but the reality is different, they have very high-interest rates that keep increasing with a significant pace if you get late for the repayment.

Basically, one should avoid any kind of loan unless they are 100% sure that they can repay it on time, because if you can't repay the loan, you will be compelled to take another loan to pay the first one, and that series continues and you might end up getting in great trouble that you might not be able to come out from.
Having offline and online loans for long term will certainly bring no good in your life. Yes, you maybe benefiting at first and used the money according to your means, but when it’s time to repay it and suddenly your income has been going bad, then that’s the start of your problem. You will never pay your first loan without compelling yourself to apply for another loan. That cycle will keep on repeating until you find yourself not having anymore to earn or save. One thing that we should avoid doing while we can still manage our finances.

If we could just not take a loan, it would be better, but again, there are times that it is needed because we need that money and we don't have a choice, but first we should see if our salary is still enough to pay it, and if not, then let's try not to take that loan because it will just make branches like what you've said, taking another loan just to pay it. If we are just taking out a loan to buy expensive phones or stuff, then I think this is not a good choice. With a loan, you just save and buy it in cash.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My personal savings now I will invest in Bitcoin on: July 13, 2023, 04:20:17 PM
Before investing in Bitcoin make sure you have a thorough knowledge of what you will investing. If you are hesitant and you still don't understand your decision you try to invest in a small amount because actual trading could be the best teacher. Also make sure that you will invest only what you can afford to loose. Never  invest all what you have you can diversify it or do the dollar cost averaging. Think so many times before investing so that you will not regret it what ever happens to your investment. Assess yourself if you will keep that investment for a long time or you just wanted to do a fast trading. The decision would still be depends upon you.
because most beginners also just go along with friends' suggestions or what they see on social media ads. they purchase assets at random for their investment. even using money from the needs they have.
the basic concept of investing, they will benefit if they choose the right assets and also have the patience to achieve their investment plans. many beginners think they want to get profits in a short time by investing in Bitcoin. and clearly it is the wrong owner.

And also, they just based their decisions on some influencers online without doing their own research. Most of those who lost their money did so because they followed the advice of the influencers and jumped in on the hype, blind to what was really behind those coins. They just heard promises of the actual price, but it turns out it would not be listed on the exchange. But again, people are now more cautious than before, and they mostly criticize the influencer if they introduce a coin to their followers.
