Was this coin ever POW + POS at the same time?

DOPE has had a long lifespan. There have been ups and downs to distribute coins. You can never prove who has which coins because someone might have 10,000 wallets but I doubt any single person or group of people have 21% or more of the coins like the infamous satoshi person/group has of bitcoins.

I'm buying into GB now. It's cheap. Anyone want to dump all the way down to 50 for me?
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GB] $ GreenBacks $ ~ A Complete Currency & Infrastructure ~ on: December 06, 2014, 04:05:47 AM
You would think that someone would pick it up. Its a easy make money opportunity. Ghash.io may as well have sponsered it today. I don't think they did this for nothing. There has to be a reason behind it.

http://blog.cex.io/cryptonews/hot-new-altcoins-review-december-5-2014/

I bought some anyways. This coin in my opinion has potential. Same as Supercoin now. Supercoin has went up 25% in the past 2 weeks since a new team took over.

The game is getting harder to play. A news articles doesn't mean much of anything anymore.

Why would someone want to pick up a coin and be the dev? That was so 6 months ago. Stupid investors have now made it acceptable to pre-mine a coin 100% and sell them off as an "ICO".

How's the interview process going? Have you interviewed anyone yet?

Is there anyone capable of taking over this coin who doesn't already have a coin or two, or three, or ten...?

So many coins & not many developers who are skilled in C++.

I can't believe I didn't know about BGR until today.

I had some great laughs when I found out about bgr and reading their threads Grin... Mined myself quitte a few of them tbh  Smiley Just because the dev is such a positive person  Smiley

I would mine it if it were x11 or some other GPU algo. I wish there was an x11 weed coin to mine. A cryptonote/cryptonight weed coin would be really cool also.

CannabisCoin is x11 but I wouldn't really call x11 GPU minable

CannabisCoin is what I'm mining. Is there already x11 ASICs going on them?

Well then I wish there was a Neoscrypt, qubit, groestl or fresh coin to mine. I have all these GPUs and not sure what to do with them. Right now I mine any good coin, sell them and buy coins in the weed niche.

I was searching google for a new x11 coin to mine but couldn't find any. Google must know that I love all of the weed coins. This coin showed up on my results. I thought I owned some of every coin in this niche category so I was surprised to see this coin that I didn't own which had actually started awhile ago.

It was probably the post on Dec. 1 by groggin that allowed me to find it on Google.

Bongs are cool so I'm in on this coin now.

I don't mean to be a jerk and tell this coin what to do... so I will just say that I wish there was an x11 PoW coin in this niche marijuana category, hint hint. Here is an idea how to switch a scrypt coin to x11 transparently (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=880220.0) hint hint Tongue

The marketcap of this coin is so small. The price will for sure rise up a lot from where it is right now. I'm not sure when it'll happen though.

It's really good to see smokemon from PotCoin leave message on here. I believe he's Nick Iverson as seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZQmUDf1tSU

It's nice that this is using koinify.

I have heard the owner of koinify say in an interview that the funds will not be released all at once to the developers. There will be stages of fund releases. Furthermore, if the devs fail to meet milestones or can't deliver the product the remaining ICO will be refunded to investors. I like this strategy of investing.

Tree market on CounterParty! You must manually fill in the market name: TRES in https://counterwallet.io/#pages/exchange.html form. Could be bought and traded with BTC and XCP.

Maybe a simple video to show people how to use the tree market on counterparty?

Good advice, thank you! You mean screen recording with voice comments?

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.269592216498091.1073741831.250099781780668&type=3 we've done 70%, finishing on Saturday.

Yes, I'm confused on what's going on. If you could do a sample video that would be great.

A screen cap with subtitles would be great. Or a video on ur cell phone of the computer screen would be good. Anything is fine. I just want to see how this all works.

Could you make a video for us demonstrating how the process works?
1837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][GEMS]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT REWARDS ITS USERS |Gems public sale| on: December 02, 2014, 07:02:05 AM
IDK. The idea is alright, a centralized chat app with a decentralized currency tied into it. I would like to see decentralized everything with ads that pay me but decentralized chat is difficult with the potential of private keys being brute forced in the future. Centralized chat fixes this problem but causes different problems.

My big issue with this project is similar to most ICO's. A bunch of nobodies sell a nothing coin to a bunch of fools at a massive marketcap. Marketcap re-corrects once people realized the devs aren't geniuses. Price crashes and nobody cares about the coin anymore. It costs billions of dollars to operate/maintain whatsapp and millions to run a small version of it. This project will never work. This isn't a company so who is going to pay all this money to run the centralized chat app?

1838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Longer-term multipool mining (TODO) on: December 02, 2014, 06:13:51 AM

I wish someone would take multipool mining seriously and not just mine the highest paying coin. I would rather see my hashing power get used to actually be mining coins that have a future, new coins and undervalued coins. Then pay out once those coins start succeeding later on. It's a lot of work to figure out which coin to mine for the future. If someone could specialize in this it would be one of the most popular ways to mine. It would take a team of dedicated specialists but it would be a big business.

This would save me so much time. This is what I do myself. I make way more profits mining this way but it takes up a ton of time.

I would accept some pretty high fees if you did really well with which coins you mine with the hashing power.

It's always better to mine profitable coin, dump and invest in "promising".

HashInvest.net sounds like the exact thing that I'm going for! Too bad it's just a monero mining pool.

I basically don't want to do any research. I want to give my hashing power to an investment firm and have them pay me based on their success 4 months later.

Whether that is mining the highest paying coin and trading for other coins or a combination of that and mining promising coins, I don't care. I want them to do everything for me. I just click mine and let my babies make me money.

1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STV] SativaCoin TAKEOVER by Altcoin.Center - New official thread! on: December 02, 2014, 05:44:19 AM
I thought of an idea that would work perfect for STV.

STV has no volume anymore. It's in PoS phase so not many new coins are created. If someone could get this coin added as a "Payout coin" on a multipool then people could still mine this coin. Since no one wants to sell this coin yet, the price will go up pretty fast. Hopefully an epic price rise will get a community of people together and STV can grow into real world use.

That's a very good idea! A.C will be opening a new pool soonish and your proposal could, should and will be implemented there.

Please repost to the new thread as well!

STV looks pretty good right now. I asked some other multipools to add STV as a "payout option" but they wanted me to pay 0.75 BTC for that option. I would rather they take a fee from the process. It's almost like they don't realize they can be super popular if they add every bittrex coin as a payout option.
