1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] First Ethereum fork. GUI wallet. No ICO/IPO. PoW, Bountys. on: September 03, 2015, 10:43:32 PM
Hi,

Where is the block explorer please ?

thx

http://www.mydocker.xyz:8000/#/block/1

It's not very slick right now but it's working. I'm sure it'll be upgraded within the week.

Wow! Bittrex after 2 days from start! good result for new coin.

This coin has 1/10th of the hashing power of Ethereum. If you base coinmarketcap on hashing power this coin should be worth  $92,266,578 (ETH marketcap) / 10 = $9 million USD.

Since both Ethereum and SHIFT are brand new and have 0 users, I have to believe this coin is 1/10th as much as Ethereum since it is 1/10th as secure.

I'm not sure what the official SHIFT twitter is but feel free to retweet this:
https://twitter.com/jessecouch/status/638863331932024833

This is the best coin released in the last 2 weeks. It should be on an exchange within 48 hours.

I could see this coin being added within 24 hours!! This coin is crazy good.

I guess you win LOL.

Added onto bleutrade awhile ago and now on bittrex! SHIFT is hot.

How long was it added to bittrex from genesis block? Was this a record? I estimate 46.25 hours since launch.

1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] First Ethereum fork. GUI wallet. No ICO/IPO. PoW, Bountys. on: September 03, 2015, 10:16:26 PM

0.0005 is a bargain.

I would need to get at least $5 per card per day to mine. According to the pool https://shift.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool each 280x will get around 6 to 8 SHF per day.

$5 USD = 0.02 BTC
0.02 BTC / 6 SHF per day = I need 0.00333333333 per coin.

I expect mining difficulty to go up. Then I will need 0.01 per coin.

Remember there will only be 2.5 million SHF at the end of this year. There will be 72 million ETH at the end of this year. 1 SHF could easily be valued more than 1 ETH.

I wonder if there will be a 24 hour hold on funds like ETH did.

Not much buy support. Need some "NEWS" aka blog/magazine articles like ethereum with all the magazines they own.

1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [R3D] ***BITTREX ICO/CFC 3 DAYS LEFT*** on: September 03, 2015, 08:03:43 PM

Every single crypto CFC/ICO that has raised over 800BTC has performed either the marketing scam or the bubble scam. They basically give away coins to news outlets, give coins to conference managers so they can speak at conferences, sell coins for cheap to insiders and/or take out loans with high interest.

If you look at every single big CFC you will notice a substantial premine that isn't part of the CFC.

Ethereum 12%
Factom 50%
Augur 18%
GEMZ 20%

I commend syntax for not going the route described above. It's too bad that the top news magazines refuse to support good projects like this just because they won't pay for articles.

Stay strong. The good honest people will win in the end.

yes.. it also lets them have some of their own coins (a significant amount of them) without costing them anything, and if the 'value' goes up they can sell them easily as well...

you are right about the """""""""""""""""""""""""news""""""""""""""""""""""""" sites tho, crypto """""""""""""""""""""""""news""""""""""""""""""""""""" is a huge joke, tho news shoudn't even be the word for any of what trash they publish, since its nearly always under researched (or better yet not researched at all) or op ed under the guise of a news story, and usually for money (i'm sure everyone remembers the whole gaw bullshit)

https://twitter.com/Steven_McKie/status/638798546481868800 for a good example Tongue

The projects listed above aren't ICOs and should be more correctly called ICOP2COSs aka "Initial Coin Offering Private Limited, 2nd Coin Offing Public Sell" aka "the bubble scam" .

These initial premines of free money can be seen as a "golden parachute". At any point the holders of these coins can sell at a profit. No matter what they win. They also receive development salaries.

This R3D is a great project and is indeed a true ICO. It's a "100% Initial Coin Offering" available to the public.

Due to a lack of creditable NEWS resources in the crypto world this project was unable to raise funds. Big investors need to learn a bit more about the new way of investing. Their old centralized private investing style is not going to work with crypto and will only create a bubble if people are stupid about investing.

BTW... I also think the anonymity of the devs hurt the project as well. If you want 800 BTC you have to be doing interviews and getting out there. 50 BTC raised just from a bitcointalk thread is pretty amazing.

1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Cryptoasset.fund on: September 03, 2015, 07:39:51 PM

I don't like assets where they aren't 100% sold to the public.

Keeping 10% is like a "golden parachute". Free money for people to dump if things take a turn downwards.

I would like to see the NXT raised in this "IPO" used for the purpose you intend to use the 10% premine on.

This looks good other than the 10% premine.

Is XCP still relevant in the crypto scene?

The devs need some sleep. They deserve it.

SHIFT keeps rollin' all day and night.

1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GEMZ]|GetGems - Social Messaging App That Pays | LIVE on Android and iOS | on: September 02, 2015, 06:54:46 AM
IMPORTANT: Updating to Android version 449 or iOS version 1.17 will require to open a new account. Step 1, write your passphrase if you haven't done so already. Step 2, in-app BTC balance will show zero. Your existing BTC will need to be transferred to the new BTC wallet address using https://bip32jp.github.io/english/recovergems.html (type your old passphrase) for the BTC to be displayed by the App.

Your app sucks. You are lucky no one uses it or this would have been a disaster.

1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [R3D] ***BITTREX ICO/CFC 3 DAYS LEFT*** on: September 02, 2015, 06:51:14 AM
what happens to the unsold coins? are they burned?

Yes. The only R3D that will ever be in circulation will be what is sold during the CFC (assuming we reach our minimum of 800,000,000 R3D sold). No new R3D will ever be created.

I am confused. So if the CFC doesn't sell out... all the BTC gets returned and the project never happens?

yup, if it does not hit 800BTC, all the BTC is refunded.

It just keeps going and going. This coin has the community support.

I will buy SHIFT right now if anyone wants to sell.

We we going on Bittrex?

100% 4 sure! No way BITTREX would miss out on this one.

Difficulty keeps on rising.

What percentage of the Ethereum based coin mining power does this clone have so far?

Those who are using just their own pcs that might have 2 gpus and want to use one of them --opencl-device <n> does the trick. on the miner!

thanks, quick question does my account has to be unlocked for solo mining, new to this type of wallet.

Thanks.

You have to create an account before solo mining.

yea i created the account but on the gui wallet it shows locked, does it matter when solo mining ?

Sorry, no idea on the windows stuff.
