1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Pre-Crowdsale/Pre-Sale/Early Sale/Seed Investor Scam. on: August 21, 2015, 08:03:20 PM

This scam used in conjuction with The ICO/Pre-sale/Crowd-sale/Crowd-funding "Marketing Scam"

and with

The "self sale" ICO scam can have devastating effects.

Transparency of all raised funds is necessary to prevent a bubble that destroys public investors.

So should I dump my NEOS?

Will NEOS get upgraded to have all of the same abilities of R3D?

Is NEOS dead?

1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Pre-Crowdsale/Pre-Sale/Early Sale/Seed Investor Scam. on: August 21, 2015, 07:40:06 PM
So, do we buy or we don't buy it?

We could flip a coin or two

When buying a Coin Offering you must pay attention to:

- The Level you are purchasing in at 1CO or ICO, 2CO, 3CO, 4CO, etc.

- The Privacy of the past levels 1COP2CO3CO = 1st coin offering private, 2nd coin offering public, 3rd coin offering public

- The Sell ability of funds to be under/over sold 1COP2COS = 1st coin offering private limited, 2nd coin offering public sell

- When the coin is available to Exchange X = Market/Exchange/Trade for USD/BTC/Crypto

- The New Coin Creation structure M = Mining

The scam described by @fartbags would be a 1COP2COS... (1st coin offering private limited, 2nd coin offering public sell, ...). It's easy to see how this is a bubble filled up by selling to the public. The 1COP can sell for below 2COS price, earn a great reward and repeat. The 2COS users are left to hold the bags in hopes of a miracle. Be careful if you see a 1COP2COS.

Here is a list of risk reward:

M = Medium Risk, High Reward
MX = Medium Risk, High Reward
1CO = Medium Risk, High Reward.
1COS = Medium-high Risk, High Reward.
1COSX = Medium Risk, High Reward.
1COP = Low Risk, High Reward.
1COM = Medium Risk, Medium Reward.
1COMX = Medium Risk, Medium Reward.
1COP2COS = High Risk, Medium Reward
1COP2COSX = Medium Risk, Medium Reward
1COP2COS3COS = High Risk, Low Reward
1COP2COP3COP4COP5COP6COP7COP8COPX = (traditional old company) High Risk, Low Reward

I like to get into coins that start with these structures:
1COS, 1CO, 1COSX, MX, M, 1COM, 1COSM, 1COSMX

The 1COP is where the scammers buy in. It's the best place to get into a coin at. The 1COPCOS is a bad place to be buying into the coin. There would have to be many things going right for me to get into a 1COPCOS. The 1COP2COSX is another way to get in if you feel you missed out on the most amazing thing ever.

Always find/make a coin offering string, as described above, before buying into a crowd funding style crypto.

LOL! So much to read. In short... No don't buy much, if any, of a crowdsale that has previously had a private pre-crowdsale.

1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Pre-Crowdsale/Pre-Sale/Early Sale/Seed Investor Scam. on: August 20, 2015, 11:25:09 PM

BTC is totally different from this.

Only discuss the topic in the OP here.

1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Pre-Crowdsale/Pre-Sale/Early Sale/Seed Investor Scam. on: August 20, 2015, 11:20:33 PM

These big time pump n dumpers are not helping development.

They are creating a bubble in which they are already 1/2 cashed out and happy.

Raise pre-sale marketing funds from the public.

1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [1COP2COS] The Pre-Crowdsale/Early Sale/Seed Investor Scam aka The Bubble Scam on: August 20, 2015, 11:14:38 PM

The Private Pre-Crowdsale/Pre-Sale/Early-Sale/Pre-ICO/Seed Investor Scam

a.k.a. The Bubble Scam

1COP2COS

This scam is becoming more common and it's creating a bubble! It's a simple scam but requires influence to accomplish successfully.

- Make deals with developers.
- Get in early.
- Use early funds for marketing.
- Use your influence to over sell a public crowdsale.
- Use influence to further drive up price when it hits market.
- Cash out and keep some.
- Public investors are bag holding.
- Scammer is on to promote the next big thing.

Some people might not think this is a scam but it most definitely is. Some people will say it's like paying a % of total coins for "marketing" so it's not a scam.
This is a scam because the promoters are getting in earlier than the public.

The private nature of these pre-crowdsales is where the scam lies.

If the public could participate in raising funds for "marketing" then this would be transparent and not a scam.

This strategy is leading to a bubble. The Public are paying ridiculous prices for "ideas" because the people behind NEWS and etc. are telling them to buy at that price. The early investors can make large profits...

This strategy removes the ability of outside public investors to make much profits. As an outside investor you have to pay for an overvalued product in hopes that the bubbles gets even bigger! This is dangerous.

Let the public in on the "pre-sale"!

1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: August 20, 2015, 10:21:55 PM

Can you provide the BTC tx ids of the "early" private investments which will be receiving 20% of the premine?

Could you also go into more detail about this "early" investor stuff. What is it and why was it done? Why was this "early" investment phase private and not open to the public?

Thanks for the questions.

In order to respect the privacy of the early Factoid purchasers the Foundation will not be releasing individual transaction ids for participants, as we didn't ask for or seek their permission to release transaction details.

For those interested in checking / auditing the proportion analysis of the holders of Factoids you are welcome to check the public Genesis block when it is released as part of the Factom Genesis version of the live Beta. The Genesis block will show the amounts of Factoids owned by all participant addresses that took part in the early sale (20%), main sale (50%), and the early contributors (30%).

I'm happy to talk about the reason for the early sale of Factoids. It was done in order to provide support for the core developers of the Factom Client from the period beginning in mid 2014 through April of 2015. There have been more than 5 full time core developers working on the Factom Client during that period and getting paid to do so was the only way they could afford to focus all their efforts during that time in order to create the Factom Alpha and now the Factom Beta.

The early purchase period of Factoids was not private or invite only, anyone that approached the Factom Foundation about supporting our efforts was informed about the early purchase opportunity. Similar to the early contributor pool the Foundation was very public about welcoming any community members to help write and review Factom code, spread the word about Factom or otherwise contribute to the project and all their efforts were recorded and included in the Factoid pool for early contributors. More than 70 members of the Factom community took part in being community leaders, code reviewers, advisors, or making other contributions. This whole process has been done openly with repeated calls to the community for support.

Its important to note, the participants of the Factoid early sale didn't get any preferential treatment compared to the price paid by the main sale participants. A similar amount of support was collected during the early sale as was collected during the main sale, but split among a 20% pool instead of a 50% pool. In the end Factom Foundation can't make any predictions about the future price of Factoids, we only know that the protocol connects the utility of the Factom Network to the use of the Factoid tokens via the use of entry credits. The consensus paper is worth checking out on that topic. https://github.com/FactomProject/FactomDocs/blob/master/FactomLedgerbyConsensus.pdf

I hope that information is helpful : )

My main concern is with future discussion about the "early sale (20%)".

How do we know any funds were actually raised? Since you say factom will provide no proof of presale funds raised, this will forever be a possible developer 20% hidden premine scam.

I believe there was funds raised but without proof of these raised funds, there will always be this negative theory that you are scammers. Maybe you faked a presale. Maybe you plan to give away some of the early sale (20%) factoids for precrowdsale marketing.

You should show the same transparency with presale as you will with crowdsale. It would be the "Honest Record-Keeping" thing to do.

1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: August 20, 2015, 02:27:37 AM

Is there documentation on how to develop an app using synereo?

Is there a block explorer? Is it safe to move my AMPs into a paper wallet?

1090  Economy / Economics / Re: Is spending bitcoins an example of a prisoner's dilemma? on: August 20, 2015, 01:44:42 AM

3) Create incentives for people to spend their Bitcoins, making this option more lucrative for them than hoarding

4 years later and still no one is creating incentives for people to spend their bitcoins.

purse.io is a good try but still aliexpress is cheaper than purse.io.

I told you people this coin was only worth about 2k.

Start price of this coin WAS 2k and we are at 2700 so still above that Wink

I really do like axiom coin but its starting to get dangerous. We are hitting 2500 satoshi and in another week will probably be at 2k or below if no updates or useful news is made. It is way to early for development to be stopped on this coin and for it to maintain a good value

I believe this is just a strategy for the dev to accumulate coins for the second massive pump which will take place after coin creation completes. I'm starting to buy this coin now. It's a scary thing though. If too many people buy the coin the scammer won't pump it up and just leave.

I hear this coin is from the scammer "Joe Mozeleski"

1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Mining, Fair Launch, No ICO, Based on Ethereum. on: August 19, 2015, 05:46:13 PM
Update: Dan Conway has joined the team to help with coding. He also is working on the website. (starting from scratch on that to get it right)

We plan on building a top tier website and platform of course, but still, we do want to launch soon. So various elements will have to be prioritized. Just letting everyone know that people are working every day on getting this going.

Who is Dan Conway?
I just hope you don't hire Joe Mozeleski aka ICM the Serial Scammer

Who is ICM and what is happened?

You can discover reading from here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1110730.msg12065107#msg12065107

Basically, ICM delivered part that he promised to crave, less the principal: the markets.
Since april he only misleads investors, saying that markets are ready and will be released "this week".
Since June I and a few others realize that he's a sociopath and was just having fun watching their investors losing money and we began to think about a plan B.
Instead of release the market to crave, he created and sold a market for sling, a competing currency that cloned crave code and he also began creating other currencies and C-CEX ICO scams together with a pump&dump group, with some features that he had promised to crave.
These currencies are: grav, nanas, versa, axiom, circ and probably other.
He was reported that we would make a takeover if he didn't present anything, not even a print of what he said be ready.
He didn't and disappeared 15 days ago.
We will complete the takeover so starin return, probably tomorrow.
ICM was doxxed by thelion07.
He is Joseph Mozeleski, responsible for various scams since 2014, starting with cloak coin.
He is a great coder and could complete all his projects, but he is a sociopath who have fun making people lose money and "crave" for him.

Joe Moz seems to like wings and shields, well there are no angels and shields protecting him this time

It is all coming together, portion of my conversation with him in May

I'm out if Joe Mozeleski is involved in getting any part of the premine.

1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Easily the biggest opportunity in crypto. on: August 19, 2015, 05:37:04 PM

I'm still thinking all of these coins will moon one day.

BTW it's all about # of users and % of time users spend on the app, not tech. That's why many coins value is so low.

1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Easily the biggest opportunity in crypto. on: August 19, 2015, 07:49:18 AM

Vanilla coin is good. Everyone should own some of it.

1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is new BTC? on: August 19, 2015, 06:59:29 AM

That means DELISTREX has no volume because they list so many scams and then delist the coins.

1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cannabis coin VS Pot Coin on: August 19, 2015, 06:56:48 AM
Which one is better and why? Are they both GPU-only or can they be mined with more powerful methods?

Both are great.

POT is going PoS only. So better buy a bag now and stake mine the coin.

CANN is PoW x11 GPU friendly. CANN also has D9 trying hard to get medicine to patients.

Theres so many marijuana niche coins out right now but I'm excited to see if there will be a new ethereum clone in this niche. I'm also excited to see if any marijuana coins will switch to ethereums code base with an automated coin swap. I really like ethereum right now.

We need to give https://twitter.com/blockchainbros the goods to be able to sell this idea to investors.

Right now all he can say is "Hey, want to invest $100,000 and drive up market price 10x"?
