1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum, the next era of bitcoin technology on: August 05, 2015, 07:40:20 AM

Ethereum is pretty amazing so far. I was programming with it in the test phase.

I agree Ethereum sucks today and will need years before it's anything useful. If you're just getting into crypto development, then I'd say go with Ethereum over bitcoin.

This coin is really cheap compared to last month.

There are ways of getting many free votes for BITZ. Check it out if you have some free time.

1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITZ] 10% Proof-of-Stake ** A Currency for your Digital Future ** on: July 31, 2015, 08:03:08 PM

This coins is still so cheap even after getting on bittrex.

How many coins would be a good amount if I was going to rent a $5 a month server to run a BITZ node and stake coins? I would want to make $10 a month from selling all the coins I receive from staking.

Hey bags, dev is about to change the staking rewards scheme.

Make sure to take into account the situation above. Basically I want to rent a server, stake coins by securing the network and make money. That seems fair to me.

I doubt it's possible for me to make money from a staking node right now but if the price of this coin goes up a bit more then it should work out.

I remember the devs had lots of great ideas for integration with 3rd party apps once they got access to the bittrex API. Getting into these third-party apps will make this coin a sustainable staking coin for the miners.

I like this coin but I'm starting to get a funny feeling about something mischievous behind the scenes.

I would like to see this coin on cryptsy or poloniex. It's not on a reputable exchange yet.

Bittrex is the most reputable exchange there is besides Polo.

You must be thinking about 6 months ago before bittrex threw their reputation in the dumpster. (DIBS, iBits, GLOBE, etc.)

I will buy some of this coin if it gets on https://poloniex.com

1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STV] SativaCoin TAKEOVER by Altcoin.Center - New official thread! on: July 28, 2015, 06:40:39 PM

What? STV definitely had enough volume. I know because I would have faked volume if it didn't already have enough.

I don't understand why bittrex can't just say... it costs this much to get listed on the exchange for a year. Then we could all raise the funds and pay the fee. Right now it costs 0.007 BTC per 2 week period to stay listed. So 0.007 * 26 = 0.182 BTC year to stay listed. Bittrex would make more money by charging a yearly rate of 0.2 BTC with all volume then being a bonus.

I have been talking poorly about bittrex lately. Maybe they delisted it because they hate me? lol jk. I think what happened was their times were a bit off making the volume a bit too early to count.

1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Trusted-Cryptos Coin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: July 27, 2015, 08:30:08 PM
Quick ECC question.

Running 2.4.5.0 and getting
  Undecided

suggestions?

Thanks

I always try,

1) rename the blockchain folder to "coinname_old1" (never delete anything!)

2) restart the computer.

3) start the wallet.

I hope that works. It usually works for me.

1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If these users like a new coin, DO NOT BUY! on: July 27, 2015, 08:26:40 PM

I will add users that other people post here to the OP if I research them and feel they suck.

1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If these users like a new coin, DO NOT BUY! on: July 27, 2015, 08:25:49 PM
All of the ICOs this user is positive about have dropped dramatically in price.

Altcoins dropping dramatically in price is news to you? I suppose you have more research to do, then.

Unless you're going to call out people you think are pushing scams, don't post here.

1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GAM] Gambit Token | Supply Burning | Trading Fund | Hedging | Asset Acqusitions on: July 27, 2015, 08:10:23 PM

There is a lot of transparency missing with this coin. The spread sheet should have another column for "BTC waged". We want to know how much BTC was used for each of those moves. Secondly, we want to be able to click on a trader and see of all their moves. See how much they waged and how profitable each move was.

It would be amazing if they could hash their calls on the GAM blockchain for proof later that they actually made that call.

1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If these users like a new coin, DO NOT BUY! on: July 27, 2015, 08:02:58 PM
I'm starting list of people who I think suck (most likely push scams). Feel free to add on with users you think suck.

@Coingrab
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=352667

I see this user responding positively to many ICOs that look like completely garbage. All of the ICOs this user is positive about have dropped dramatically in price.

Thanks to @BitcoinNational for putting together this list:

Adderral
david1365
KidKrypto
Black Fire

Coingrab
GenX
Accommodation
TrangLee
Manipulator

HONORABLE
CrowdWhale
b1007

If you see any of the above users responding positively to a coin, beware and do lots of research before joining!
