I not have idea in what country you live. But here there certain rules about Data Protection. That rules are the seam for the rest of states inside the EU. Not one have the right to use any private or public information to distress any other person. You need to be register in Data Protection for ask for documents like ID, Passport ... Make public or hold with not authorization private documents is a crime. And more distress to some one and make public his name. Broke the law have also in consequence legal actions. I can't accept a person offence me and also no apologize or make rectifications. More of the members in this forum send me a private msg for apologize and also delete the posts I really accept that and I am proud they make the right think to do. But the person start the bulling never apologize never delete nothing. That no make him a real man only a bulling person with any insecurity problems. If you make a mistake the first you need to do is apologize and try to change your actions. I live in Australia. We have very strong data protection laws here, too. They place an obligation on organisations to protect certain types of data in very specific ways. We also have strong privacy and anti-harassment laws which extend to electronic communication such as email, social media and messageboards. All of which is absolutely irrelevant because Bitcointalk is not located or operated in my country. |

The one thing which is a little bit ambiguous here is that the "wishing Bitcoin a great future" comment implies that they're getting out of Bitcoin altogether. But the MrBitcoin site currently has a "we're upgrading the site" notice (which only went up a few days ago) up giving the date for completing upgrades as 26 November - which suggests that particular business will continue operating. I notice that augustocroppo has posted the specific details of Ken's illness in the other thread. It's not the smoking gun he seems to think it is. The information was easily found on Google before CryptoXchange even launched (in fact, that's how I found it myself before they launched) and I'm also aware of Ken talking about it with other community members. It is a waiting game right now, but the fact that they're upgrading the MrBitcoins site suggests that they intend to keep operating that business - something they would not be able to do if the company is insolvent. There is no indication that they're planning to shut down MrBitcoins and the notice about upgrading the site is new - it's been posted since the announcement of the CryptoXchange shut-down.

How do you know that and who is "they"? How do I know what? Their upgrading of the Mr Bitcoins site implies that they intend to keep operating that business. Otherwise, why not a shut-down notice on that website as well. KenseyCol operates both CryptoXchange and MrBitcoins (as well as a few other businesses). If they are insolvent, they can't legally continue operating any of them. I'm not only in Australia, but I'm in the same state as the operators of CryptoXchange. I spent over 30 years working in business administration - I'm well aware of the duty directors of Australian companies have under the Corporations Act to prevent insolvent trading (s 588G) and the penalties for breaching that duty ( s 588G and s 1317G). In addition to the statutory obligation to prevent insolvent trading (which allows for both civil and criminal penalties) a common law obligation also exists. While there are circumstances under which a company in financial trouble can continue to trade, it requires the appointment of an administrator and companies which are under administration must disclose that fact and the administration must be reported to ASIC. The ASIC register is showing no record of any type of insolvency (voluntary or otherwise) for KenseyCol. Yes, a creditor is someone who is owed funds by Bitcoinica. They may have creditors apart from Bitcoinica users. How do we contact them? You've obviously never heard of Toblerone Triangular, an absolute master of the "let me convince you all that I'm a paranoid schizophrenic Ron Paul supporter" gimmick (believe me, this guy convincingly presented himself as more batshit insane than the TimeCube guy). He eventually revealed himself as a gimmick poster and explained his method. The best way I found was to take a bunch of unfounded statements like "gold is money" or "America is doomed if Ron Paul doesn't win" or "Ron Paul hat immer recht" and to treat them as if they're logically consistent with each other and unfalsifiably true. Then all you have to do is interpret events in the world in a way that attempts to brings them into line with those assumptions. The original statements don't have to be that extreme but you don't have to do this long before you're having to come up with more and more twisted and paranoid logic to explain why your premises are correct and what's actually taking place in reality is wrong. You only have to start by saying traditional polling methods consistently undercount Ron Paul's voters because they don't have landlines to ultimately end up advocating that Wolf Blitzer should have his throat cut on live TV ~pour encourager les autres~. The fun is getting from one to the other and bringing the reader with you. The whole triangle theme was a complete fluke. I never named my account TobleroneTriangular because I had some long-standing plan to incorporate sacred geometry into what I was doing, I just though it had a nice ring to it. But in answer to your question I wanted to make some kind of "helpful" diagram to explain the idea of natural/unnatural rights that I was banging on about and I wanted it to be just evocative enough of a kind of underlying mental instability or monomania that it made people begin to think there was something more going on here than a legitimate, rational appreciation for Ron Paul and the gold standard and all the rest.
However at this time I wasn't linking the diagram I was trying to come up with with my name. I was actually trying to do something with the Star of David so as to play up my latent "issues with Jews" stat and I wasn't really having much luck when it came to me in a flash: what is the Star of David anyway? And I do remember thinking I had to get the diagram just right because if I managed to pull this off then it would be being emptyquoted back at me for the rest of time. I knew if anything was going to be my trademark then this was it so it had to perfect, jpeg artifacts and everything. I'd run out of road. By the end I was advocating turning the US into Ron Paul's own Democratic Kampuchea and shilling for Hitler in his purely defensive war against the Jews, where do you go from that? I'd reached the Mohorovic discontinuity of my own insanity and I was in danger of undoing a lot of the goodwill people had towards me. I never wanted to be annoying or monotonous, I always wanted people to be enlivened either by disbelief or anger or pity or whatever else by the brand of lunacy I was touting. Shutting down a business because it's not profitable is not the same as being insolvent. It doesn't matter if CryptoXchange is losing money hand over fist as long as KenseyCol (the actual company) can meet the financial obligations of CryptoXchange. I know it's not very satisfying to the community, but the truth is that people can shut down a company for any reason they like and if they can meet their financial obligations they don't really owe anyone explanations about why they no longer wish to operate the business.

It's actually a pretty old philosophy which pre-dates the Abrahamic belief systems (and although dank spews a lot of pseudo-Buddhist crap, Buddhists don't actually believe in transmigration of the soul - they believe that the existence of the soul is transient like everything else). No-one is questioning the fact that the experiences themselves are real to the person experiencing them. A lot of them are very well documented by science and we can even induce them (which is exactly what people taking psychedelics/dissociatives are trying to do). It's the meaning of such experiences which gives rise to the debate. If believing that a part of you will survive beyond your physical death brings you comfort, then fine - religion is called the opiate of the masses for a reason and the belief that something better exists beyond this life can certainly make a shitty earthly existence more tolerable. If you're contemplating killing yourself when a comet passes earth because you think a mother-ship is going to come and collect you, or giving up eating because you think you'll become a grey alien, then maybe your belief system has become actively harmful to your well-being and the "alternate reality" you're experiencing is actually acute psychosis. dank is trolling hard. The problem is language is made for survival(and making transactions/contracts) not communicating your deepest thoughts with out bias, once we come up with words that properly explain spiritual experiences people won't sound so stupid when they are talking about god or experiences beyond known scientific reality
People aren't knocking dank's spiritual experiences. They're knocking his absolutist, dogmatic assertion that he has all the answers. Fortunately, he's not likely to convince anyone else that they can survive without food but there's a point where beliefs become dangerous to others - see Heaven's Gate, Jonestown, etc. Plenty of people have had the same experiences dank has had both with and without drugs. Hell, take a look on any New Age messageboard or any recreational drug use messageboard and you'll see many people recounting similar experiences. Most people are grounded enough to realise that feeling omniscient is not the same as being omniscient and that they can't - in fact - go without food or sleep indefinitely. Just because you believe you can fly when you're tripping on PCP doesn't mean you won't go splat if you jump out a 20th storey window. Objective reality doesn't cease to exist just because you're having a "mystical" experience. The fact that dank pulls this bullshit and ups the ante every time people stop paying him attention strongly suggests that he's trolling and doesn't believe a single word he's posting - as does the fact that he's not looking for communities which share his purported spiritual beliefs du jour. The only place he's going to stage a million person music festival on 21 December is in his own mind. The only place he's going to live on water and "love" alone for more than a few weeks is in his own mind. |
