Just wrote poloniex about the fixed wallet. Let's see! :-)

volocity enforces block spacing (time).
if you mine a block too early from the previous, and it's very lkikely to happen thousands of times because the diff is at minimum, it will be rejected.
1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite - NEW THREAD! | 1st mini-blockchain coin | M7 PoW on: March 22, 2017, 08:45:31 AM
Hi guys,

good morning,
so are these files gonna go to ., bt38 and polo,
or are these being tested yet, or is it definitive,

can these files import our wallets, or just the wallet.dat file?
or both, even better,

about trading, when bt38 trade will adjust to or bter will adjust to one and another,

thanks for the works guys, this community needs you, i do, will buy all the xcn, i can get,

Before notifying the exchanges, we need a full release, and some testing from the community.
BTC38 uses the QT windows wallet so we need it anyways.
About trading, we can't predict what will happen: the lower price on bter will surely bring btc38 down, but the revived trading may potentially bring way more uptrend, to counter that.

For the unbelievers: Solo mining guide.
Solo mine as usual. Ignore the rejected blocks.
The diff is broken, you will compete for a block when spacing is enough from the previous one.
To save power, modify the miner to stop mining when it's too early.

pallas, you're using the new wallet on ubuntu 16, right?
Is the binary available somewhere? I had to update my home server to ubuntu 16.04, so I now have to use a wallet built for 16.04 for the statifying.

I use the same Ubuntu version, here is the wallet daemon and cli:

Figured it out. Finding a block every 3 minutes lol. that's over 2 million esp per day. :-D

What did you figure out? That you just need to ignore rejected blocks?  :-)

I've committed a fix for the wallet backup issue. Works fine now, if you use the latest sources from github.
Of course it will be in the new binaries as well.

Sp_, there is a big pull request by someone, looks like optimisations and fixes, could you please have a look?
Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong but Cryptonite is the only one of it's kind, I mean the coin that implemented mini-blockchain technology?

AFAIK, there is no other coin using such a technology. Please refer to the wiki for the coin innovation details.

anyone worried about bter disabled deposits?

I will contact them ASAP. Probably the usual wallet issues.

Here is compiled latest source from pallas with trie fix (daemon and cli utility):

Thanks!
Could you please describe the build, if static or dynamic and which OS?

anyone have instruction for setting up pool that can support for XCN?

I don't think anybody ever written some kind of instructions, but I can introduce you to some aspects you will need to consider:

- PoW algo: M7 is used to hash the block header, so you will need to add the related routines.
- Block header: there are some differences between the classic bitcoin header and XCNs, for example some fields are double the size (es. 64 bit nonce vs 32). That will affect merkle root generation and hash
- There appears to be some issues with getblocktemplate on the wallet: it is different than recent implementations and/or has some incompatibilities with standard implementations by the pool software
- The miner software is a mixed bag: for example it uses 32 bit nonces just like with other coins and doesn't support getblocktemplate.

there is even a miner for it? i see no bench for nvidia
No. But I can make one..
good , what would be the speed 6-7MH per 1070?

With 7MHASH you will earn 80 dollars / day per gtx 1070 Smiley

a single 1070 will probably double the difficulty LoL!

are you really eager to mess with padding on 17 algos? :-D

Xevan algo...
Very profitable for AMD if you have few cards, don't know why nobody is mining it.

I could't find a miner. The algo looks like x17 x 2  ish. So the speed should be around half the speed of x17.

But the perhaps my estimate is abit off.

there is an opensouce opencl miner, the usual sgminer mod.
it's x17 but on 1024 bits instead of 512, so will be slower than that.

The cron job was still active. Just needed some time to get back on top of it as it seems.
I just checked an address and it shows me the details.

Yes it works now! Just sent you an XCN beer ;-)

Thanks. It's starting up. Looking good. Hopefully that gets the explorer back online.

Thanks very much! It looks to be synced.
Maybe you need to run the usual cron job:

error: /cron/parse_txs.php cron job is not running

I don't think there is any reason to compile with bdb 4.8 on a block explorer machine, which is unlikely to even use the coins. The current version will be good.

I don't have any compilation environment available for Debian and I'd rather not install all that stuff onto the production server. If anyone could compile the new wallet for Debian 7.0 (or statically linked) that would fix my current issue, too Wink

I'm using ubuntu 16.04, any chance my binary works for you?
