1841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple and western union testing money transfers on: February 15, 2018, 04:16:48 PM
Just read about a new test between the two.

if its successful how do you think it will affect XPR?

if tey will trade XRP it could be great for the coin but if they will create them a different blockchain i don't think it will make any difference...

any thoughts?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/western-union-confirms-testing-ripple-technology-for-money-transfers
It wont affect XRP's price because it will only remain a FUD if there is no official statement from western union itself.Stop shilling this centralized coin, you like kissing banker's ass then go ahead invest with this manipulated coin when your money got burned do not blame us people who warned you.You can get into the hyped coin but i suggest you should get out fast while you still can because you might be trapped with this shitcoin.
Are you saying they're going to abuse their power of printing any amount of Ripple? :O

That is what I understood actually when they say ripple is controlled by banks. Most of these guys doesn't really understood what they are saying and they don't get ripple stands for. Its almost like ETH and still controlled by vitalik. Like the usual its being fud too but now  that eth flew like they can't catch up anymore they turned to another.

Ethereum is mined, XRP is just printed at will. There's a huge difference in the two even when considering the fact that a small amount of people have a lot of control over the respective blockchains.

For some reason I think I am even happier at current price than I was when we crossed it last time. Anyone else with the same feeling?

I am struggling trying to understand why is that so. Maybe it is just me, though.

yes, I have the same feeling. Back in december it was pretty obvious that we will get a big correction. it now feels like a system reset, everything is back to zero.  the "system" runs much faster and smoother now. But zero is not zero, it's over $9000! <insert vegeta meme>.

$10,000 is no longer a 10x increase in <1 year, which was a bit of a stretch. Now $10K is a 50% retreat from the ATH, so it feels like we're just getting warmed up.
That's what it feels like to me too. Second attempt go back above $10k, both of which were back to back today. Smells like we're back to 11~12k by next week, and then who knows.

What's up with wordy man being a dick lately?

I see only quotes, but he's become more and more of a dick as time goes on, since no one can reach through the internet and bitch slap him.  Ignorance and Arrogance go hand in hand...

I thought by "wordy man" he was talking about JJG.

I must admit I though that too.

Back on topic: too calm down here.

So did I, which struck me with surprise.

1845  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling Land for bitcoin on: February 15, 2018, 03:55:18 PM
If you were unable to sell it that could be either due to a lack of awareness or too high of a price. I don't see how Bitcoin would really change anything here, at least right now. But if you wanted to go that route you'd have to make sure to talk that through carefully with some lawyers first.
1846  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some of your favorite PC games? on: February 15, 2018, 03:54:01 PM
GTA 5 - because I can drive on busy sidewalks and full speed and get a nice red paint job at the same time.
Been playing that too good choice but try some other games like FPS such as PUBG or CS:GO it needs synchronization to your teammates. It's cool to play you need good strategy playing it.
Never played PUBG, but CS used to be pretty much a FFA on public servers when I used to play its original installments. Would be genuinely surprised if this changed now.
1847  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: February 15, 2018, 03:52:36 PM
Attack on Titan Live Action! It was forgettable. It didn't live up to everybody's expectations. It was so ambitious that it failed to replicate the success of the anime version. Although Haruma Miura is loved by many, this is one of the movies I wished he didn't make.
First time I've heard of its existence. Is it as much of an atrocity as the Dragonball live action movie?
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: February 15, 2018, 03:11:23 PM
I can see doge at least x10 by the end of 2018. It actually growing quite fast and gaining more interest from investors.
Maybe in USD, by virtue of Bitcoin going up massively. But Doge has been wobbling between ~20 and ~100 Sats for years.

USD might be true but only if BTC keeps going up
Thank you for paraphrasing?
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can BitConnect recover? on: February 15, 2018, 03:05:41 PM
Yes I think bitcoin market down is temporary and market will recover soon. It can be already seen that market slowly getting recovering. I think in mid 2018 bitcoin value can even touch $3000.
This thread is not about Bitcoin, which has long passed $3000.
1850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 15, 2018, 03:03:48 PM
Old debunked arguments presented by the banksters instead of trying for a compromise. I really hope that the universe has a tendency to take care of this type of behaviour. But at the very least people do, which is where Bitcoin came from in the first place.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: █【ANN】【ICO】█【ICO LIVE】 ██ 🌟 BLOCKLANCER ██ JOIN GIG ECONOMY BOOM on: February 15, 2018, 02:59:57 PM
Good afternoon.

I have a couple of questions.  Huh  But first let me say that your project is genuinely interesting to me and I like it. I believe in his prospects and further explosive growth. I already participate in ICO. Your project is strongly promoted in social networks Smiley

I'm just starting and I'm wondering - what will happen if the project during ICO can not reach the hard cover? This will create some limitations for your work, or slow it down? Although now, the ICO is gradually gaining speed collecting funds, as far as I can see. This makes me happy  Cheesy
Hello!

Thank you for the kind words, I'm sure the team at Blocklancer will be happy to read them. Smiley

As for your question. There was a soft cap and a hard cap for the ICO. The soft cap indicated the minimal amount of funds needed to run this project. The hard cap is the maximum and reaching it would make things a lot easier (more aggressive marketing for example).

The soft cap has already been reached 6 times over by now, so even if the hard cap isn't reached the project will go off as planned. The remaining unsold tokens will be burnt.

From an investor's perspective not selling out isn't a negative thing as long as enough funds were raised to launch the project properly and to reach its full potential, as a lower market cap implies a greater upside potential for early token buyers. On the other hand, more funds mean slightly less potential gains but at a possibly much faster rate.

Hope this answered your question. Smiley

Oh, and more! Thank you for clarifying. Now I'm definitely figured out Smiley

By the way, I saw that in the list BitMart Blocklancer is now on the 5th place in the vote. Does this mean that your tokens will not be added to the stock market in the first wave? Tell me, when is the exit to the first exchange of your tokens expected? And is there any predictable price that they can cost? At least roughly - let's dream  Grin Grin Grin
The team has been negotiating with multiple exchanges behind the scenes for a long time now. And while I don't know how those negotiations are going I wouldn't assume listing on one of them to take too long.

As far as price predictions go, in the short term these are completely and utterly impossible.

In the long term (several years) Blocklancer could reach a market cap similar to that of currently existing sites as well as exceeding them due to their superior platform. Then there's also the massive growth in the Freelancing market that is to be expected in the coming years.
A market cap in the $100m to $1b range would be small, which would equate to a token value of something along the lines of 70 cents and $7, or a 10 to 100 increase as a low end estimate.

No it isn't, that guy talks about random bullshit buzzwords, not fundamentals or technicals.

> Everybody who's got money is in
> Total market cap of $463 Billion

Just lol.

Don’t even get me started on this video. He annoyed me so much the little pussy. He basically went long at 19k and got REKT
That would explain his complete and utter lack of understanding and arguments. I wonder if we'll still have people buying tops and selling bottoms in a thousand years, there's nothing particularly new happening in Bitcoin from a trading perspective, yet people keep making the same mistakes over and over.

For some reason I think I am even happier at current price than I was when we crossed it last time. Anyone else with the same feeling?

Going up 24/7 is bound to make people anxious, after all everybody expects things to come back down at some point. Right now both the pumping and dumping phases seem to have ended, so the "back to zero" metaphor is quite fitting. Emotions reset and the outlook seems back to bullish or at least close to.

1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to sell? on: February 15, 2018, 12:35:13 PM
Instead of buying everything randomly you should take a few coins and research them thoroughly for a few days or even weeks.

Where does there value come from? How low and how high could it possibly be? At what times? What are the risks? What problems does it solve?

Ask as many questions as you can and use Google to research markets and industries.

Don't bother asking on this forum, people who know what to buy and sell generally won't tell you on here. And those that do tell you what to do know just as little as you do and just try to shill their bags or dump prices. If there's no extremely solid reasoning behind a post, ignore it.
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can BitConnect recover? on: February 15, 2018, 12:32:43 PM
BITCONNECT recover? ahahhahaahhaha... is it a joke? it's a ponzi scheme project.. when it falls there is no way to recover (and it's better for everyone that project like this will finally fail)
It already died. I'm surprised that people are still trading it. But now I finally understand how bubbles form and why people have their wealth wiped out in equity markets.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EU regulators : Cryptocurrencies can put you in jeopardy on: February 15, 2018, 12:31:47 PM
The only thing cryptocurrencies can put into jeopardy are banks.

A large drop in the token is not only Cl. Now many crypto-currencies have collapsed. I think that as soon as the situation with the crypto-currencies is adjusted, Cl will significantly increase. I believe in this project

That's right, all the Alt has gone downhill very bad nowadays, I think it will have an impact but somehow the price will always decrease.

Well I started doubting on the future price of the token. The resistance to burn the unsold tokens and a tiny airdrop all points to a greedy pan. Also I don't see any progress on the platform development. Hopefully I am proved wrong.

Hopefully what you expect is true, the price every year is getting down because of the impact of Bitcoin in the feel of all the Alt. Hopefully this does not make a big mess in the future.
You're right, but the drop prices several times this is not normal, it negatively affects the project
Again, there is no project here. It's been a scam all along. If you don't want to lose everything take the loss and exit while you can.

You attached a week old youtube clip interview of Richard Heart rage quitting BTC.. and pumping ETH and pumping his new alt coin...

Just because he proclaims a bunch of whiny bullshit, just like Mike Hearn whined about a few things in early 2016, and Mike Hearns rage quit did not cause BTC to fall or fail, merely because he said it....

Similarly here with Richard Heart... he seems to be very emotional and there are a lot fo folks who are confused by his sudden change and sentiment that seems to be based on feelings (and perhaps bias) rather than actual fundamentals or logic.
He probably "lost" a couple million and is now suicidal due to lack of foresight and understanding. "Lightning is online" (no it's fucking not). He either doesn't know what he's talking about or it's like you're suggesting and he's trying to manipulate markets. Without any success.

I understand that he has been a trusted and even a very strong voice in the past with a lot of no bullshit frank talk in support of bitcoin, but that interview came off as overly emotional and he lost something before or during the interview, and he was having difficultles holding it together or coming off as reasonable.
I've never heard of the guy, but if he used to be "no bullshit frank" then he certainly wasn't in this interview (at least not in the ~10 minutes that I've bothered watching). Not a single rational point that goes beyond the usual buzzword parroting that can often be found in other places on this forum or around "elite Economists". Has he been around for a while or did he just pop out of nowhere recently? If it's the former I don't really understand how you could make a polar flip even though the fundamentals haven't changed, certainly not for the worse.

I know, right? Everybody knows the earth is flat by now. Roll Eyes
1860  Other / Off-topic / Re: Vegetable Capsules on: February 15, 2018, 12:05:14 PM
I think it is a powderized vegetables put in a capsule lol.  It is not healthy if it is true.
They're capsules made out of vegetable cellulose.

Think about how many capsules you would need to eat one "powderized vegetable". Someone would need to really hate their veggies to go to such lengths.
