Pornhub launches payments in stablecoin Tether

From some strange reason so far they have only some bulshit coins there. Why they dont add Bitcoin or Monero is beyond my imagination.
1862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 24, 2020, 09:32:11 PM
^ source?

He just throw every thing he heard in one basket.  Monero was always secure. You cant have a crypto currency without it being secure.  But to preserve anonymity when you use Monero you always need to be careful. 5 years ago much more then today.  People like him read that Monero was not secure because they heard of of some metadata were able to link transactions in Monero and then think you cant use Monero securely. Sad really.
1863  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar Vigilante Ed Bugos on Iran, Gold, Bitcoin, Monero & US National Debt on: January 24, 2020, 06:07:36 PM
I now see four worthy and sounder opponents for government fiat currencies, including the US dollar: gold, silver, bitcoin and monero. The four amigos, I call them. They move together and they lead the commodity complex because as you know commodity cycles are largely monetary.

Four amigos are known. But the big question is will all four of them be relevant at next economic collapse or only sold and silver. That is a billion dollar question. Are Bitcoin and Monero ready for central banks to see them as one of the four amigos.
1864  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on the highest /lowest value of bitcoin in 2020? on: January 24, 2020, 03:18:23 PM
What is your opinion on the highest /lowest value of bitcoin in 2020?

I think price of Bitcoin should be between $5000 and $15000. I dont expect financial crysis this year. If I would expect it then lowest price would be way lower.

A decade on and 'the great and the good' still have no clue:

https://twitter.com/coindesk/status/1219983559710121984

It feels like being in the small band of people on top of the hill...  being seen, but misunderstood by those below who just can't see the flood waters gathering behind them.

At least being seen. When in 2018 first "crypto" people were invited to Davos was to me totally surreal. And most of those invited had relation to crypto only that they financed their project through crypto with ICO. Now two years latter we at least see people talking in Davos that understand crypto. I guess all were small but important steps to get to where we are now. All this I could not even imagine back in 2014.
1866  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Is Now More Than 50% Dollarized, Study Finds on: January 22, 2020, 09:17:23 PM
Venezuela Is Now More Than 50% Dollarized

That is totally normal. Any country wit high inflation become such. Venezuelan currency is used as cash to pay things and USD is kept as store of value. Not need to be long store of value, but even for few weeks or even days.
1867  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: January 21, 2020, 09:26:03 PM
Very bad casinos, ...

It seems it is not so bad if someone took time to make a fake firefox extension to probably phish players accounts.  If Bitdice would be as bad as you say no one would bother doing it. They would rather make this extension for other web casinos.
1868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: January 21, 2020, 07:10:09 PM
I am curious why Binance has not yet listed Grin coin on their platform while they already listed BEAM. I have my feeling that Grincoin is much more favorited by altcoin-crypto community, rather than BEAM. BEAM tends to be more favorited in South of Korea.

Because they paid for it. Out of premine founds.  On longer term cons with fair launch will have brighter future because they will have no problems with SEC. While all ICOs and premine coins will have.
1869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIBE good to invest on: January 21, 2020, 06:17:29 PM
do u think VIBE good to invest ?

You write nothing what it is. It is worth to invest in things that have usecase and will have use case 10 years from now. When i check VIBE I first thought it is VIB ( Viberante). But it seemed to me it sound strange. But what it does is quite similar. So that gives me suspicions. Why would someone choose so similar name for some similar product?

https://www.viberate.com/

That is Viberate product.
1870  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Is Now More Than 50% Dollarized, Study Finds on: January 21, 2020, 05:47:00 PM
A year ago, some of us were hoping that Venezuelans would have adopted bitcoin as their currency (or an alt). But the rolling electricity blackouts not only mean you can't use credit cards, but you can't use cryptocurrency. So they've gone with old fashioned US dollars in cash.

There will be new Venezuela's in the future. As they were in past. If Bitcoin is not ready now for Venezuela it will be ready then. What is happening n Venezuela now will for sure help for Bitcoin to get ready faster.
1871  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price. Will go up? or Will go down below $8600? over the night on: January 21, 2020, 04:53:46 PM
I am on the tipping point of whether or not to buy Bitcoin now around $8650..
What do you guys think?

Buy a bit every week or every month. As much as you can easily afford to lose. That way you dont bother if that day was expensive or cheap. Over longer period of time your buying price will get to medium.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Numbers Continue Exploding in Spite of ICO History on: January 20, 2020, 09:00:24 PM
The number of new altcoins and stablecoins being offered to the general public continues to increase. This is in spite of the fact that the Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) that started the altcoin craze have met mostly failure.

ICOs did not start the altcoin craze. Before first ICO happened, I believe it was was NXT, there were already 1000 altcoins. Most were forks of Bitcoin protocol. And NXT ICO happened in 2013. So at least 3 years before ICO craze. Yes with asset platforms like counterparty, etehreum, omni, ...   starting a token was only few clicks from everyone. So people made a lots of tokens.
1873  Economy / Economics / Re: Richest 2000 People richer then poorest 4.6 billion on: January 20, 2020, 08:09:44 PM
Richest 2000 People richer then the poorest 4.6 billion.
Richest 26 persons richer then 3.8 billion people.

Today I read this in the newspaper that Oxfam Novib calculated this in their report called time to care about economic inequality.
Especially women in underdeveloped country's are stuck in poverty and can't get out.

We all know this has been going on for years but it is pretty shocking to see the enormous difference in these numbers.
It is also hard to comprehend that most concentrated part of the wealth is hold bye a small club of men.

How do you think this is devided with Bitcoin we can all just see the top richest wallets in Bitcoin, but do you think Bitcoin is more fair devided then the current money system?
What would be the most fair way of dividing a cryptocurrency so the whole world is actually part of it and gets wealth?

Point of bitcoin is elsewhere then who owns it now. Point is that is permissionless. So everyone can use it. That is not the case with traditional banking. Unless you live close to the bank and unless they agree to service you you cant use it. So Bitcoin makes everyone have a chance.  This is the main innovation.
1874  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Reach $400,000 After Halving, History Dictates on: January 20, 2020, 07:32:24 PM
Following the first halving in November 2012, Bitcoin’s price increased from a $2.01 bottom to the top of $270.94 – a 13,000 percent increase. The second halving, in July of 2016, saw Bitcoin go from a bottom of $164.01 a top of $20,074 – a similar increase of 12,000 percent.[/i]

Would you actually believe the halving would make this possible? Or is it just another unsure prediction?

It can happen, but I believe next ATH will be lower. What you need to understand is that very rare will be able to sell close to ATH. Even 2/3 of ATH is price that rare will be able to sell at. What is more interesting to me is what will be the bottom price of Bitcoin after this ATH, or the medium price at which bitcoins will be traded until next bull run.
1875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Might Be The First Exchange To Close Down or Exit Scam in 2020? on: January 20, 2020, 06:26:15 PM
I think HitBTC is going to be the one to exit scam this year, I do salute their resilient because I have been looking for the day they would get disappear. They exhibit all the features one need to look out for in a scam exchange, fake volume, fake order, endless delay of withdrawals, bad support to name few. I would advice people to only trade their if the tokens is only listed on the exchange

I keep hearing bad things of HitBTC. And this is going on for 5 years. So is very strange. How can this happening for 5 years but they still work. Yes, they could selectively scam. So just pick few most vulnerable and scam them and normally work with others. But still. It is just amazing.
1876  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will the Third Block Reward Halving Affect Bitcoin? on: January 19, 2020, 07:28:17 PM
Understand a simple math of demand supply. If the demand of an asset remains constant and supply decreases, the price of that asset will increase. That's a very basic lesson of economics that we all read in school.

Yes but yearly mining emission will reduce form 3.6% to 1.8%. For miners to get even price needs to double since reward halved. So very basic economics cant give the perfect answer here.

This guy solomined Monero block on his normal PC. How many other coins let you do that?
Monero fee is 0.1 cent. You can easily mine your own fees to use Monero freely.

1878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2020, 05:57:28 PM
BSV preformed so good while it was lead by someone who could not answer any questions that was asked at all and was dreaming he is Satoshi.  What will happen now when some normal capable man will take control of BSV. Extremely bullish!
1879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you sure crypto is the future currency? on: January 19, 2020, 12:42:45 AM
I completely agree that crypto will be the currency of the future. Cryptocurrencies are already used all over the world and constantly more and more countries begin to legalize cryptocurrencies and recognize them as official currencies, this is just a matter of time when the whole world will already fully begin to use cryptocurrencies with its full potential.

Currency is blockchain best use care. Currency is blockchain killer app. It is simply perfect when fungible.
