1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 10, 2020, 04:16:59 PM
It seems totally stable for last 2 months. It could stay same for next 2 months since late summer is always slow.  At least volumes will probably stay low.

For those that dont know, XMR.to added lightning network payments. It seems it is even easier to pay with Monero then if you have Bitcoin.  OK, most merchants that have Lightning network payments also have Bitcoin payments. But not all and this feature will come more and more useful as more merchants will offer lightning network payments.
1122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why hasn’t Bitcoin’s price skyrocketed? on: July 10, 2020, 03:38:28 PM
When examining the issue of BTC’s current lack of price action, it is worth pointing out that if one were to look at the currency’s value movements at this exact point following its 2016 halving cycle, it would become quite apparent that the asset was behaving pretty much in the same way as it is now. In fact, it was a year and a half after its 2016 halving, around mid-December 2017, that BTC proceeded to reach its all-time high value of around $20,000.

Because of more people "knew" about halving, price was higher prior to halving. Then covid-19 economic problems come and put a bit more reality to Bitcoins price. And then halving come. So I believe if we compare prices we are right now about at the same range. Yes we are. Price of Bitcoin was around $600, so half of previous ATH at autumn 2016, few months after halving.
1123  Economy / Economics / Re: Even More Evidence of Coronavirus as Financial Reset on: July 10, 2020, 02:04:51 PM

Yes I directly replied on jrrsparkles post. He said that WHO "is analyse and find what is the actual reason for this covid 19 in China"    Doing this is their job. That is why we have WHO.
1124  Economy / Economics / Re: Even More Evidence of Coronavirus as Financial Reset on: July 09, 2020, 07:34:58 PM
Trump is already working with China and India for economic development.
I don't think so based on the recent activities of India and US against Chinese government.Even WHO is preparing a team to analyse and find what is the actual reason for this covid 19 in China but China didn't allow them to do yet.So countries like China is not really interested to cure this disease, they just see this as an opportunity to become super power of this world when all other countries are struggling in pandemic.

Everyone is interested in finding vaccine for covid-19 and everyone is interested in reducing its spread as much as possible. It is a global cause.   WHO is doing its job. Let them do it. It is their job to do it, that is why it was made and exist.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Buying the 'Dogs' on: July 09, 2020, 04:20:20 PM
Aside from exchanges, is there a place where people list private token sales.

I am looking to acquire tokens that have little to no volume and have fallen 95-98% since ICO.

People that have that coin can see it to you. All you need to do is find them. If coin is PoW you need to find the miners if coin is an ICO you need to find those that were part of ICO crowd sale. I am sure they are wiling to part with some coins. All you need to do then is to set price.
1126  Economy / Economics / Re: Rising tensions and effect on global trade on: July 09, 2020, 02:33:05 PM
..., they'll just start sending Coronavirus through their products in order to increase the pandemic ratio in India knowing that it's 2nd largest in terms of population?

Come on man. No one is sending virus to anyone. Everyone is fighting to kill virus. Some countries fight seriously like Vietnam and South Korea and China. Some countries like Brazill and some others dont give that much focus.  Noone is so dumb to deliberately spread virus since it can come back as a boomerang and behead them.
1127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin volume so low? What effect on price? on: July 09, 2020, 01:59:55 PM
It seems to me that the situation in the coming days will change dramatically, as many investors today will not lose sight of the cryptocurrency market, since for several days the stock market has been closing with a significant drop. Oil is falling in price, and the fear that this decline will continue due to an increase in the supply of raw materials in the market only increases interest in bitcoin. Perhaps that is why bitcoin has been showing green color for several days.

Man I dont know Tesla share is at $1390. I dont see any stock market price drop. S&P500 is not even 10% under its ATH in February. I still see whole stock market in a huge baloon. For oil there is no reason to be high. Economy will contract at least till next year. What I do see is increased price of Gold. Gold for the first time went over $1800.
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Cardano so ignored on Bitcointalk? 2020 will be the year for Cardano! on: July 09, 2020, 12:31:21 PM
Molly didn't question any IOHK policy, she shared misleading and false information about a fake "Cardano event". So do you by adding the link to Molly's postabout the fake event.

So what I posted never happened? You say that Molly is lying that Rod Alexander sent that message to company where Molly is employed?

That's not what I'm saying. It all starts with Molly who shared false rumours on her twitter that Cardano was tricking old farmers in China during an event. That's desinformation while this event had nothing to do with IOHK.
I understand the reason why Rod Alexander send that message to Molly's employer and he did that in a professional matter, doesn't matter that we have a different opinion on that.

https://twitter.com/molllliy/status/127977899529946726

Have you read my post at all?  I posted a tweet where Rod Alexander send a message to company where Molly works and asking questions there. When you dont agree with someones arguments you tell them your arguments. You dont go threaten their boss. That is toxic. In a normal company Rod Alexander would already be history.

What PayPal's Entry Into Crypto Means For Users

Maybe that mentioning Bitcoin to Paypal is not a bad word? So far you were on a brick of being baned from using Paypal if you only mention word Bitcoin. It was so from about early 2013. Before that many bought Bitcoin with their paypal. It will be nice to see if this will change back to how it was before 2013.
1131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else see a big bitcoin upwards movement coming very soon? on: July 07, 2020, 09:34:21 PM
If Tesla share is $1400 then why not Bitcoin would grow 10%  Noobs might thought that Tesla is new Bitcoin. BTC v2.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Cardano so ignored on Bitcointalk? 2020 will be the year for Cardano! on: July 07, 2020, 07:08:05 PM
Why is Cardano so ignored on Bitcointalk?

Maybe people dont like them because of things like this?  They threaten people's employers when you question their policies.
Cardano is a company and it all seems quite toxic. Bitcointalk community always Favorited community driven opensource projects like Bitcoin, Monero or Grin.

https://twitter.com/molllliy/status/1280470708213043201

That was actually a quite logical response while Molly referred to a fake event.
Charles Hoskinson in the name of IOHK has responded to Molly that the event where Molly is relating to, has nothing to do with the official Cardano (IOHK). Looks like some people are trying to bring Cardano down with false information/news.

There is nothing wrong for anyone to respond to Molly, but is very wrong for anyone to respond to company where Molly works. Very very very wrong.
1133  Economy / Economics / Re: world war 3 is coming ...do to coronavirus / economy ... on: July 07, 2020, 06:48:48 PM
In my opinion, all this is nonsense. The intensity between the countries fell very much due to the coronovirus pandemic, although it seemed that a military conflict was inevitable.
What is happening now is more like a political game. Ahead of the new Cold War, using all the capabilities of information technology.
I think again some third-country country will remain the loser on the territory of which strong countries will work out "military exercises."

I agree. This pandemic did the opposite it only bind all world countries closer together. Many realised or will that we can fight virus only together. No matter what one country do virus will stay on Earth if other countries dont care about it much. It is not just about covid-19. Many problems Earth have are similar. They can only be solved globally.

1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any opinions about USDC? on: July 07, 2020, 03:46:29 PM
I just read what it is. Coinbase and some other companies (i think) created it. Instead of sending them to your bank account you can buy them. The value of 1 USDC must be 1$ and it is. Almost. Although I don't think it should be 1$. Who forces me to believe that? Mr Trump?
You get what I mean.

Does it have a USDC core? Or is it centralised?

It is just one of many stable coins. Stable coins are always centralised. They are in most cases a tokens issued on some asset platforms.  Trump have nothing to do with stable coin being worth $1, but he has a lot to do with how much bread you will be able to buy fro that $1 stable coin.
1136  Economy / Economics / Re: Rising tensions and effect on global trade on: July 07, 2020, 02:47:30 PM
A trade war between China and India would only mean an even greater weakening of China, as India will have to turn to imports from some other countries. I don't think you need to be too intelligent to see the bigger picture of the problem, and here the economic-political war is obviously at work in what seems to be its initial stage.

Trade war always weaken both sides. India and China will both be strongest economies of this century. Sp for sure there will always be tension between these two countries. Both can still even if totally stop trading with other side.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Kingcasino is The another scam project in 2020? on: July 06, 2020, 06:27:20 PM
Bad news for bounty hunters, yes my dear friends kingcasino is the another scam project in 2020. Because the are stop the bounty programs & they are going to refund investor money.

Can you explain how is something a scam where they return you money back?  If I go to a store and buy a t-shirt that have some flaw in it and return it ad get my money back I cant call them a scammers. If they would not want to give me money back then they would be a scammers since did not point me to the flaw in the t-shirt.
1138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: While using bitcoin there should be privacy on: July 06, 2020, 05:39:41 PM
Revealing your privacy makes your fund not to be private, also never use kyc payment methods
If I have conbase, and I use credit card or other payment method that have enough identity of me, my privacy is completely lost in connection to the bitcoin I bought with the card and also in connection to the wallet I used. Very possible this can be used to track any wallet or exchange I send the coins to. That is why I like p2p exchange.

In past was easy to get bitcoin and not link your identity to the coins. Nowadays is much harder and it all looks in future it will be close to impossible. Bitcoin and private simply have little in common. People in countries where privacy is tradition will avoid using Bitcoin. People in countries where privacy is not tradition will widely use Bitcoin in the future.
1139  Economy / Economics / Re: How Corona Virus changes our markets (with picture and charts) on: July 06, 2020, 02:35:04 PM
Because if there will be no vaccine hope by October when economies will officially starting to enter recessions then we will see a huge panic among people. Tat panic will cause contraction of consumption and that is the worse thing we need.
Don't expect mass production of the vaccine anytime soon. Most of them are still in trial stages currently and they would have to pass through a couple more stages for mass production.

Markets move on speculations and dumps on news. So you dont really need a mass produced vaccine for optimism. You need a solid plan to get to there. So a sign that a vaccine works. I know from that moment months or even a year will pass that there will be enough vaccine for everyone on earth but what matters for markets is to cut uncertainty off.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: July 06, 2020, 01:41:05 PM
Waiting for 1000 sats Grin. If that ever happen smart move would be to spend all available founds to grab some Grin. If it will happen it will happen this or next year. 2022 will be to late.

Why is that?

If the development will go as it goes so far and in general economy will stabilise by 2022, I simply cant see that Grin would bottomed latter than that year. Emission inflation will not be low but at least it will be at a bearable rate.
