1861  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Whenn last did you visit the bank? on: September 17, 2023, 10:57:09 PM

People now prefer to make cashless transaction and it won't be a thing of a surprise if banks start doing away with some of their staff due to massive reduction in the number of customers as well as reduction in transactions made at banks.

You see na, na the thing wey make dem say another man food na another man poison and na true talk be this wey I see for your post. True true bankers na self go dey reason na because this change fit make banks begin reduce workers and even make staff turn contract work when customers no dey con line for bank again.

POS and microfinance banks don really change the paradigm for the financial sector plus mobile transactions from mainstream bank. Omo na effect for this good and easy bank transfer go be this oo on top bankers. Like me too, if no be to go collect new ATM card, e don tay wey I enter bank oo, highest na ATM if I need to.

1863  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: September 17, 2023, 05:38:36 PM
No, #Bitcoin is not going to top before the halving.
Yes, it's going to reach a new all-time high before the halving.
No, #BTC is not going to $160K because the magnitude of every pullback is large. This means it will peak after the halving, in 2024. And yes, the target price is around $250K.

I do not subscribe to any of this speculation especially the ATH before halving. To me it is looking like mission that is impossible. The reason is halving is next year and the price of bitcoin is not even half of the existing ATH and so to go over $64k which is the ATH for now is a very big rally that will be needed. Moreover, the last quarter of the year is not always a bull time for bitcoin maybe because hodlers want to cash out their hodlings and take stock of their investment and so that usually drop the price of bitcoin. So I do see what will push the price of bitcoin up before halving.

Surely the next ATH will be above $64k because it is traditional but I don't think $250k is coming. I could speculate $150k.
1864  Economy / Economics / Re: If the global economy collapses what's the first thing you do? on: September 17, 2023, 04:23:11 PM

But I want to mention something into it that when you are going to hold Bitcoin just aquire  some knowledge about security ,  like technical knowledge  it could safe for your fund.  Anyway  holding Bitcoin with a perfect  DCA management will be great for future gainer.

I guess security in terms of hodling your coin in a more secured wallet so that you are the only one with access to it like your noncustodial wallet. But regards to knowledge, I don't think someone who wants to hodl bitcoin as investment requires a special knowledge if they have the primary knowledge of bitcoin, bull, halving, bear etc and some people can rely on someone else knowledge to invest if they are guided. I have seen some newbie investors who are encouraged to buy some coins. Only ensure you have your private keys of your wallet yourself, so that you are the only one to access it .
1865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free spins are also a demo in disguise? on: September 17, 2023, 03:49:10 PM
Free spin are not the same thing with demo and if your free spin winning happen to be the same amount with your friends, I think it is nothing to worry about because it may be chance occurrence which is also what comes with free spin. However, I believe free spin winning rate is lower, I have not been lucky enough with that only few times on a very low rate .
1866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 17, 2023, 02:39:12 PM
Taxing here is for those who are gainfully employed and not just for side husslers because gambling is not recognised as source of income or livelihood. Those who are employed are those that are taxed because it is easier to deduct it from source, that is salary and more people that are taxed are those having account with government like business organizations but for gamblers who are not even sure to win, they don't report winnings likewise or would you be repayed back your losses? No body returns what you have lost since it is not recognised source of income.
1867  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io Token Refunds - $38k refunded since going live again on: September 17, 2023, 01:45:06 PM
Is this the same betking that operate in Nigeria and known majorly for soccer bet just like bet9ja. Well I never knew they had an ICO far back in the time of ICO and to see an old account as of that of legendary handling their presence here means they have been around. Anyway, I remember those days there were lots of exit scam and it is nice seeing this site trying to fulfill some promises made in the past and I hope they sincerely do that.

My suggestion therefore is to send email messages to accounts that registered with them rather than relying on the this thread alone.
1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 16, 2023, 08:00:53 PM
I've been following a few gambling channels on Twitter and Telegram, and whenever they share a screenshot of a bet slip or winning ticket, they occasionally also include the balance of their wallet. I've seen this happen several times, which made me wonder why they don't choose to withdraw their winnings instead of storing them in their gambling site wallet.

Since you are watching them through their social media handles, they might be influencers and need people to follow them because they also benefit from followership. There is no need for screenshot of winning slips if not that they want to prove that what they are showcasing is real and that would attract people to follow them and that will grow the popularity of their page. This is the simple explanation to that. However, to leave huge winnings in casino is risky but except they are contracted by casino to do so in advertising for them as market strategy.
1869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: September 16, 2023, 05:11:35 PM
Gambling responsibly I believe will definitely have positive effects on anyone who does it. Gambling responsibly mustn't mean that one gambles once in a blue moon but whenever he feels is right for him and also gambles with his disposable income and not basic income or even borrowing to gamble like gambling addicts do. I think anyone who gambles responsibly wouldn't see gambling as a primary source of income so he'll not be too worried when he lose his stakes but will enjoy every bit of his winnings.

Also being responsible in gambling is not to keep trying when you keep losing, at least give a break to try again later but if you keep gambling and chasing back loses it definitely means the gambler has lost control and he is playing out of his desire and wish but not how he is suppose to embark on it. Therefore, there is a relationship between having your emotion intact and losing your emotion as you gamble. You need control while you gamble.
1870  Economy / Economics / Re: Human Capital, An Intangible Asset for a Company's success. on: September 16, 2023, 09:57:17 AM
Yes, actually humans have unlimited talents compared to other assets created by humans. but unfortunately employees are underestimated in some countries. assume these are just employees who get paid when they work, even though with the help of the employees the company runs very well. I don't feel human resources are lacking. but sometimes attention from the company, and some needs that should be the company's responsibility are not met.

I understand your point. If employees are paid well there utilization will be very high because monetary reward, salary and compensation are good drive for employees performance most times but when they are underemployed and underpaid, they are also likely not to put in their best or begin redundant in the company. It is wise to make employees happy by making sure they are well enumerated so that their performance can also be top notch and that will help grow the company.

1872  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project feedback on: September 16, 2023, 08:54:27 AM
The concept does sound good, but there are some questions that come to our minds when we read about it. What will the contest be about? You didn't explain anything about that, and since you said that the members of the newsletter get a chance to win free money which means participation in the contest is free, how will the casino get anything if the contest doesn't require the players to make any deposits or anything? The marketing will only be beneficial if they are getting deposits for spending money on the contest.

And, you said that subscription to the newsletter is also free of cost, so I wonder how will that be beneficial to you if you are not charging anything from the subscribers and giving them opportunities to earn money? Maybe you are aiming to get paid ads and earn revenue through that.

Well to my own knowledge for certain good puzzles you have tried to raise, I think it all about traffic generation for both op and the casino used at the particular contest at hand because like he said in the op, that different casinos will be used and that means contesters and interested gamblers will register at the casino and of course their ads will also be shown at the casino as partners by which their own product is also marketed perhaps.

This is just about marketing strategy for op and I think the casinos can only be interested if the traffic to be generated is far more than what they already have through signature campaign and other publicity they do.

To the op, regards to the contest reward, I hope there won't be any condition for withdrawal like introducing KYC to your project after the contest had started because this is possible just in the middle of the context which will amount to changing the goal post in the middle of the match.

Also, the games to be played in the context need to be mentioned.

Hope witthdrawal is not encumbered?
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: September 16, 2023, 08:19:58 AM
Keep it in crypto wallet and save your keys, which is more safe than saved money in gambling website

In a noncustodial wallet you mean I guess. That is a safer place to save your coins because you alone have the private keys to unlock or access it, you alone can transact from it to the exclusion of other third party including the casino. A noncustodial wallet is a sure secured wallet and you are sure no one will access or your funds if you don't disclose your keys to another person . So if you have funds you have won and you need to save it, you can transfer it out from the casino wallet to your noncustodial wallet like trustwallet , MetaMask MyEtherWallet, coinomi etc.
1874  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gun-Free School Zones & Shootings Statistics (2023 Updated) on: September 16, 2023, 06:16:44 AM
School shootings, as are any kind of fatal shooting, a tragic event. Sadly it will never stop in a country where it’s so easy to be able to get hold of a gun. It’s part of American heritage, the right to bear arms so I don’t see the potential for school shootings going down any time soon. I think it’s been discussed before about an armed guard being in every school at all times but government make excuses about the cost being too high.

So why try armed guard why they have legalized gun access. I think US government caused the problem that is bedeviling their students. If you have approbate then you can not reprobate, they don't need to complain because they have legalized gun access so anybody can claim health issues if they have wrongly used the gone which is an excuse that could easily be hidden on.

They have to restrict gun access to student and create a minor court to personally try this offense when they go against this law, they can't just keep killing themselves and causing panic in schools.
1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of country can offer you legal gambling in 2023! on: September 16, 2023, 05:20:36 AM
Most of the country in your list is developed countries,So the people of this country will have enough money to run their life.So they also had some free money to use for the entertainment alone. It may be the reason for their government to enable the gambling in this nation.US was the rich in the economy and people per capita income will be more compared to the other country. For this reason, the government allow their citizen to get involve in the gambling. The developing countries like Bangladesh had prohibit the gambling activities.Because the small money from the people will help their nation to next level.Australia was the place where people ready to spend huge money in gambling.

Being rich as a country is not the reason to allow citizens to gamble or being poor isn't a reason for not allowing it also. Yes US has a good per capita income rating but that is not the exact reason for not banning gambling. The reason is that US is more liberal with there system of life. They believe in freedom of choice and the respect of rule of law and that means everything they do about their system or gambling is guided by law so that if you contravene the law while exercising your choice, the law will be after you and you will be punished adequately, so is about freedom of choice.

Therefore, most of the countries that have banned gambling have a religious belief that gambling is a sin and wrong which is the major reason for banning it. They are those dominated and highly populated by one faith religion especially Muslim. Bangladesh that you used as example is an Islamic dominated country unlike US. So you can see the difference and reason most countries could ban gambling, while others don't see same reason and they generate revenue from it through tax.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Control Your Emotions and Win More Bets on: September 15, 2023, 09:36:02 PM
Q

Not having enough control over your emotions can also make you more vulnerable to becoming a gambling addict since you wouldn't be able to differentiate between when you need to stop and when you need to start gambling again and that affects your time and activities in normal life.

An unstable emotion is already subjected to consistent playing because you want to chase the losses that you have encountered. Like you have alluded, someone who doesn't have that total control over his emotion is likely to play out all his life savings when he is losing out, such is a bed thing to do but addicts comfortably would do that because they are always in "expectation " of a huge winning that never comes to pass.
1877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big capital, small risk or small capital big risk - which is best approach? on: September 15, 2023, 07:52:44 PM
Using big capital for small odds reduces the risk of losing and if you're not a greedy gambler you can win more often than not.

But the sadly just one losing can cost you two third of the amount of your previous winnings. While small capital is cool but you have to accumulate odds to get a big potential winning amount and your chances of winning are slim and not everyone will have that patient for a rare big win. Gamblers should use the strategy that works for them not minding whether big or small wins

It is true that when you lose from betting big, the effect is fatal. But it appears that, that is what gamblers are doing now especially in soccer bet and they are profiting from it. Some can stake a single game with $100 to expect a double of it which is $200 and immediately after the match, he would cash out and wait for another game while those playing too many games can have losses for complete a month and the expenses is almost totalling the $100 dollars, I think the single game is more profitable though.
1878  Economy / Economics / Re: I tired of Banks my experince with nyc high value Property on: September 15, 2023, 04:45:25 PM

My conclusion is i'll just make Even better money with staking smart way dca % cryptocurrency.

It is not just to DCA on cryptocurrency but what coin in particular is what matters because you could invest in shit coins and that leads you into regret.

I still prefer investment in property. Although the percentage interest of 40% is high but it depends on what value you have to offer in the business. Banks tend to increase their interest percentage if they don't see much value in your offer or they also use interest rate to scare you off from the business. But if you can, I would encourage you to invest in properties because it helps your retirement when you don't have strength for physical work anymore, you can rely on it and its durability is more higher than most investment you can think of.
1879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino... Fun or Not? on: September 15, 2023, 03:44:00 PM

I seldom see online casinos that restrict my country it's very rare and this is one of the casinos that restrict my country I don't know if it's still profitable for you and your team to run a casino that restricts a long list of countries you are missing a lot with your restriction.
You have to fix this you can restrict countries where gambling is taboo or illegal like North Korea your casino is already three years old you have to change this so it will become popular among gamblers, looking forward to reviewing your casino when the time that my country is not part of your restricted list

Nice comment. I think instead of leaving your country's name aloof for op's wide guess, it would be better you gave him a clue on your country since you said it is very rare to see casino restricting your country, perhaps your country patronage the gambling business a lot and that would help his customer base and also the people from your country can benefit from the casino also.
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino... Fun or Not? on: September 15, 2023, 02:36:55 PM

The gambling is created for the fun,but the gamblers taking it as the serious one.

It is looking like though that is what it is with the number of countries restricted to make a deposit on the site. Op talked about fun mode and I think they are yet to properly launch this casino because they can't restrict over 80% of the countries from playing in the casino.

Op doesn't look serious for not coming back to address the issues here on his casino especially the numbers of countries under restrictions and say what is his reason for him and his team to restrict those countries.
