I knew Silk Road 2.0 was some sort of honey pot.

you are probably thinking of the sheep marketplace.

Sheep Marketplace was definitely not a honeypot. Instead it was being run by a scammer. On the other hand, we have enough proof to believe that SR 2.0 was a honeypot.

What proof is that?
18742  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Former CIA chief: Snowden should be “hanged by the neck until dead” on: December 22, 2013, 07:24:49 PM
CIA +1

Snowden is a criminal and a traitor, he deserves to be tried as one and found guilty and imprisoned forever!!

He just revealed the wrongdoings of the NSA, and somehow he should be imprisoned?  The government has done far worst, so should they be imprisoned forever?

Actually what he has done has broke his security clearance with information he was entrusted in keeping. By leaking that information he is a criminal and a traitor and he deserves to be tried for it. The action is the crime, the subject matter how much society deems it good and helpful doesn't negate the crime.

He passed on information of crimes that were being committed by the US government.

18744  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.4BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: December 22, 2013, 07:14:25 PM
I think it would be greater if Stunna will choose xx(x?) people to write and give them a little bit better payment that it was before.

Why would he do that?

Maybe, to stop spammers from abusing his service? I like this idea too, since it would give prevalence to quality before quantity...

Isn't it pretty easy catch spammers already?

Depends how Stunna checks the content of your posts.

And from an advertising point of view, quality of posts is irrelevant really, as it's more about quantity if you think about it. The advertising is effective at getting PrimeDice's name out there as pretty much every thread will have several PD sigs, so it's more effective for Stunna to have as many people as possible posting as opposed to a handful of "quality" posters.

18745  Other / Meta / Re: petition to rename bitcointalk dogecointalk on: December 22, 2013, 07:06:32 PM
I am guessing most of these "noobs" are actually aliases of dogecoin shills.

Nah, I think they're just morons wanting to catch the dogetrain.
18746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you tip Satoshi? on: December 22, 2013, 12:02:24 PM
I think Satoshi should tip us  Cheesy.

We already know his address and can already tip him, some people do.

What's his address?

Just google them or something.

I wouldn't send any tips to his addresses, you don't even know if he/they are alive or if they even still have access to the wallets any more.
18747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Satoshi is dead at this moment? on: December 22, 2013, 11:56:23 AM
Satoshi Nakamoto is a code name for the bitcoin project.
It's not a person.

Any proof of this? Whilst it is of course possible, I think it'd be even more improbable to remain anonymous if there was a group of people, especially in charge of around a billion dollars worth of coins.
18748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: December 22, 2013, 10:54:51 AM
This is bullshit. All I wanted to do was post a fedoracoin logo I just made, turns out I can only post here and will have to wait 4 more hours until I get "verified". This is completely unfair.

You don't have to be verified, just wait four hours. It's not unfair, annoying for sure, but it's there to cut down spammers and bots. If you want, link me to the image and I'll post it along with your quoted message, but unless there's a deadline looming I'd just wait it out.

And Fedoracoin lolwat?
18749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Satoshi is dead at this moment? on: December 22, 2013, 10:44:07 AM
He has returned to his galaxy Wink

We should be more concern if he's not.
At least if he's dead he can't come back with a nsa badge to laugh his ass out at our faces Smiley

I reckon it's best those coins stay stationary. If they do ever get moved I hope they're drip fed out and not dumped all at once. Depends on the motivations of the individual in charge of them.
18750  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin on Pawn Stars. on: December 22, 2013, 10:41:51 AM
lol, I think it would be really cool though... they seem like the kind of guys who would pay big bucks for a large btc coin

I can so see these guys saying this on the show  Grin

That's essentially all they do say  Cheesy.

If it happens the seller will be bringing a laptop with wifi access instead of artifacts to pawn. And Rick will be bringing in the real Satoshi Nakamoto to give some advice about the price of Bitcoin. The Bitcoin community will be surprised.

Better be ready with your wallet Rick.

18751  Other / Off-topic / Re: TPB and domain seizures... on: December 22, 2013, 10:35:39 AM
If the big mediacompanies ask a nice and fair price for their products, then I will consider buying their stuff. As long as they still want top dollar for their crap I won't. Also I don't want to buy a movie before I've seen it. If it's a good one, I will buy it, if not, than tough luck for them.

What would be a nice & fair price to you? I download shit loads of stuff illegally, but this argument of 'try before you buy' is such a clichéd excuse. Do you really buy 100% of all the stuff you illegally download and like? Do you want to try a meal before you pay for it, or take some clothes out on a test run to see if you like them? You can always rent or stream movies or go to the cinema to see them etc, then buy them when they're released.
18752  Other / Off-topic / Re: TPB and domain seizures... on: December 22, 2013, 09:57:07 AM
I just use http://pirateproxy.se/

Piratebay is blocked in the UK. They got Filestube recently too. Bastards.

the good ol' david cameron has even blocked your porn. the UK is turning into a totalitarian shithole. that guy is either an idiot or he's just testing how far he can go.

I don't think they could ever even aspire to be as totalitarian as Team America: World Police, but it doesn't stop them trying. Banning websites its futile anyway because it takes five minutes to get on them via a proxy.
18753  Other / Off-topic / Re: Finished watching Breaking Bad?? What next? Any suggestion? on: December 22, 2013, 09:53:06 AM
heroes was terrible after the first season. it kept on rehashing the same stupid storyline. i watch the walking dead, but it can get annoying at times.. still a decent show.

Only seen a few episodes of Heroes but it didn't grab or impress me.

Homeland is really great. Don't think that's been posted yet. I would say one of my favorites, after Breaking Bad, Dexter and The Soprano's.

First season of Homeland is brilliant. Only seen a few episodes of the second season, but I'm interested to see where they take Brody's character.
18754  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.4BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: December 22, 2013, 09:27:52 AM
Well, I have a life guys, so this willl definately not work out for me, Id have to post 50 comments on these forums. Stunna ruined his service.

The point of this service isn't for you to dedicate time to posting, you just chuck it in your signature use the site as you would normally and collect free money. This new rate will effect any posts made after the last payout period.

Alright. Anyways I love the fact that there is no "goal". All I have to do is make $50 per month to pay off all my server.  Undecided

Ha, the goal for me will always be the top amount I can get Smiley

There is no such a thing as diminishing returns in gambling advertising.

Gambling is all about whales. Even if you attract 99 players to your site, if you can't lure that one whale then you have pretty much failed.

Yes, there is diminishing returns... If you have 1 person advertising you'll have less reach than 2 people, and so forth, but by the time you get to 10,000 people (hyperbole to prove this point) the 10,000th person will not attract as many people as the 1st person did. There's a reason that companies like Apple while they do flood the market with ads, they don't do it to the point where every single webpage, TV advert and newspaper ad is entirely Apple; it simply isn't cost effective.

Typical spam reply for 0.0002 btc. Thats what i was talking about stunna.

I hardly think that constitutes a spam reply.

It is rather unfair to make the change on the 21st after we've been posting for four days under the old rules. Anyway I'm still in. I joined by quotin my post count when I signed up and adding my btc address. Please say I'd this is not acceptable or else I'll assume it's fine (obv I wont edit).

He says that you can keep the posts that you have made in the past 4 days.

I think he was just implying about the how he was posting under the impression he was getting more money for his posts and the prices should've been changed before the new months term started. At least people found out in four days as opposed to posting away expecting to get previous months payouts.

Haha, Then I'd stay away from the newbie or alt coins sections if I was you.

I knew Silk Road 2.0 was some sort of honey pot.

you are probably thinking of the sheep marketplace.

I don't think that was a honeypot either, but the owner apparently scammed everyone in a longcon.

Maybe because adding an e onto the end of dog is apparently funny?

18758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Satoshi is dead at this moment? on: December 21, 2013, 08:50:37 PM
In all honesty, does it really matter? I've always kind of thought that Satoshi was more like a group of people than just one individual anyways.

Is it possible that Satoshi isn't actually a person or a group of people, but in fact a group of

18759  Economy / Services / Re: Forum Posters Needed on: December 21, 2013, 08:41:38 PM
Ok, I've started posting on there. Made at least 10 constructive posts so far so hopefully will get a pay out. I'll post on here when I do.

I'll probably have more time to post mow since Stunna has severely cut his Primedice rates. 2000 posts per month is extreme.

You can now submit as many posts as you feel best for you, without much stressing yourself for some limit as previously. 1999 posts would be as good as 2000...

Well, that is true, but I'll always push myself to get the maximum that it's possible to earn haha.

If it takes all your time (and we know that it does), you may very well skip other opportunities which may arise that pay off bigger but somewhat later...

It doesn’t take up all my time, but it's not exactly easy either, but it is worth it to me. I can't really see what other opportunities I'll be missing.
