Thoughts on the World War 3 and its possible impacts on future?

Quality of life as we have now would be totally ruin. Even if for some lucky chance there would not be some mayor nuclear war, there would be other ecological catastrophes. Most people would die in upcoming years. Mainly diseases maybe starvation. Humans would survive and after peace would come back would slowly rebuild.
1882  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Elon Musk cause the massive bull-run? on: January 18, 2020, 09:25:37 PM
He is the one. He is Nakamoto. Now we know how Tesla and Space X are being financed!

Lol, they are financed with what Bitcoin will kill. Printing of money.  You cant run unprofitable companies forever without printed money that keep entering stock market to pump value of all stocks.
1883  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to Precious Metals Companies on: January 17, 2020, 03:44:48 PM
Hi everyone. I'm looking for a company that will convert BTC to Gold. (Or precious metals such as Platinum / Silver etc)

Example , If BTC is worth 100K USD , Then i'd be able to transfer my BTC to them for 2KG of gold. (Assuming Gold Spot Price is 50k USD)

is there any companies that are able to do this? I remember GoldMoney backed by Sprott Capital but they no longer have the option of doing the exchange anymore.

There are plenty of gold dealers trading in crypto. Some only in Bitcoin others in many altcoins. They usually give you discount when buy with crypto. Gold dealers were one of first merchants offering goods for crypto.
1884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Monero Be The Best Investment In 2020? on: January 17, 2020, 03:18:08 PM
How can we trust

With open source cryptocurrenices you dont need to trust anyone. You verify yourself. All Monero code same as all Bitcoin code is available for everyone to check it. And many people does check it all the time. Same with wallets or any other software. You check the hash it it is correct. If hash dont match then someone modified that software and is not the same as it should be.

It is so simple really.

Oh and Monero in 2020 will be better then Gold.
1885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Europol Might Hinder Monero's Progress on: January 17, 2020, 02:51:35 PM
Monero can comply with every rules. I have no ideas why this journalist state different. He did not stated reasons for it in his article.
People on exchanges are verified. They deposit coins on the exchange and they withdraw them. There were never any laws that you must know all transaction history of every USD from the time it was printed. If transparent ledger cpytocurrenies provide that history, that is anomaly and not normal.

Monero progress will get hindered only by lack of developers. But luckily there are quite a lot of people that loves to develop for free or are wiling to donate founds to hire developers.
1886  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alternate Market Cycle Thesis on: January 17, 2020, 02:23:21 PM
Ever since the 2017 boom a lot of people around the world have known about Bitcoin. Sure the vast majority didn't buy any, but a significant amount of people have known about Bitcoin since 2017, they know it shoots up and then crashes.

No one buys Bitcoin when he first hear of it. It takes some time for everyone. Some need few months, some a year and others few years. Bitcoin is not something that people gets familiar with really fast.  Usually the ones that buy Bitcoin after few months after they fist learn about spend those few months studying Bitcoin.   For me personally took like a year and a half.
1887  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a list for OTC for fiat? on: January 17, 2020, 01:55:40 PM
Is there a list of people or groups that allow large OTC transactions for fiat? None of this KYC and AML nonsense.

When dealing with fiat in most countries you must know who you deal with. In some countries dealing with higher sums of cash is totally forbidden.
1888  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do we calculate the correct transaction fee to send? on: January 17, 2020, 12:10:21 PM
Also, suppose the transaction is not urgent (say changing BTC between own wallets or sending to a relative), can it be sent with very low fee? What's the worse that can happen - will the transcation get cancelled/not go through on the blockchain?

Not directly related, but you mention not urgent transaction. I noticed that usually mempool gets fuller towards end of the week and empty over weekends. So cheapest day to send a transaction is Sunday. Or the fastest day to send cheap transaction.

You made me curious about transaction fee in different days of week.
I calculated the average transaction fee for different days of the week in the past three months. (Raw data from https://bitinfocharts.com/)

Monday: 0.70 $
Tuesday: 0.70 $
Wednesday: 0.71 $
Thursday: 0.71 $
Friday: 0.74 $
Saturday: 0.63 $
Sunday: 0.57 $

You were right. I hadn't ever noticed this.

LOL well I never went to check exact numbers but saw it just by looking at mempool graphs. And we of course usually look at mempool when is more full then usually Smiley   At those times difference is for sure bigger.
1889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the altcoin market being manipulated in 2020? on: January 16, 2020, 10:25:03 PM
Hello There!  Wink

At one time, I stopped being interested in the altcoin-markets because of the situation there. Famous projects were dropping their bags off to gullible investors to get even more money.

Do you think the situation has changed in the year 2020?  Huh
Is it safe to trade ERC-20 tokens and is it possible to earn something else?

What we saw in last few days with  Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin SV, DASH,and Bitcoin Diamond it for sure is. Whales are coming back to play. Thy of course pick coins that are easier to market manipulate.

1891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont let them fool you. We will see a NEW BOTTOM. Maybe BTC at 3400$ again? on: January 16, 2020, 09:15:31 PM
Being a HODLER probable means right now a big bag altcoins portfolio with over a 90% loss.

Most holders have few 100% profit. Holder that have 90% loss needed to buy Bitcoin at $90000. Was Bitcoin ever $90000?  Even the ones that were super unlucky and bought Bitcoin at lets say $16000 have right now 50% loss.  But rare have chance to buy that high. Most bought bitcoin in $1000 or less levels.  To have 90% loss you need to trade. And you can make a 90% loss really fast that way. Can take only few days if really unlucky.
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: January end , can BTCtouch 9k? on: January 16, 2020, 08:40:51 PM
as we see trend in last 2-3 days, all markets were positive, prices increased from 10%-300% in 48 hours.
Now the trend is going down. what you guys think? January end BTC can touch 9k usd?

It can touch $9000 tomorrow. That is only 5% growth. We saw Bitcoin grow 20% a day in past.   I dont know the price of Bitcoin at end of January. But I am sure we will see a pump before May. Before that we can go to $6000. After that pump price of Bitcoin will be at around a bit higher as it is now.
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Government Cryptocurrency on: January 16, 2020, 08:15:47 PM
China is planning to launch their crypto currency, with attention to distribution and adoption, since they are involving all four major banks in the country, two major e-commerce websites Alibaba and Tencent and UnionPay as online payment provider for all four state banks involved in the project

crypto will be centralised and controlled by the state, but high level of acceptance shall be expected

plan is to launch it no later than 2020, november 11, according to latest news, will be interesting how this is going to influence crypto markets this year

Yup this and Libra is what most people are most interested in to see this year. Of course there will not bee seen much invocations. But still there is an anticipation.
1894  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 16, 2020, 07:36:41 PM
This thread should be move to Economy section.

This should be moved to idiotic section of forum.

Increase government spending will make people rich. LOL

Governments should collect less taxes and spend less money for their program. That is how should be and I believe it will be. So far governments power is only increasing over decades and centuries. It is time we reverse that.
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 16, 2020, 01:11:35 AM
Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency

Yes it will. Biggest block chain use case is money. Why?  Because it is digital. And is worth something so can pay fees and that makes it secure. Many specially in last years believe blockhain killerap is in something else.

1896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV, A Game Changer? on: January 15, 2020, 10:18:42 PM
Bitcoin SV, A Game Changer?

I think Bitcoin Gold or Bitcoin Diamond are real game changers. Flippering with Bitcoin SV will happen any day. Watch out!!!!
1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: January 15, 2020, 08:32:50 PM

1898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculating with Tom Lee on: January 15, 2020, 04:14:21 AM
In other words, we see strong probability that Bitcoin gains >100% in 2020.[/glow][/i]

Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Diamond and Bitcoin SV and DASH gained 100% in half day. Why would Bitcoin not in a year?
1899  Economy / Economics / Re: Ok. Number of Bitcoin transaction increased double. Expect price increasing? on: January 14, 2020, 05:26:37 PM
So i heard that the number of Bitcoin transaction increased double recently.

Where you heard that? It is wrong information. This are number of Bitcoin transactions in last year.

      Bitcoin
Jan 2020       9,387,399
Dec 2019      9,430,057
Nov 2019      9,243,776
Oct 2019      9,892,853
Sep 2019      9,798,992
Aug 2019      10,169,294
Jul 2019       10,305,251
Jun 2019       10,486,006
May 2019      11,505,497
Apr 2019      11,003,022
Mar 2019      9,457,625
Feb 2019      9,269,096

You can see that number of transactions is almost identical as a year ago. And is slightly in decrease from May.
