1881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Delta Exchange - Anyone use it? on: May 22, 2022, 11:54:11 AM
I wasn't able to use that but upon checking it in Coinmarketcap[1], it doesn't have a large volume and it's best to be used with perpetual pairs and not other markets with spot or futures. They only got a single pair on it though.

They look like they are very active and it looks very interesting in terms of the site. Like when you look at the footer, it includes everything you need to know about what they have to offer.

They have offers[2] as well which looks like a very interesting feature that you have on.

1882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins made you 100x returns in last 6 years ? on: May 22, 2022, 07:08:47 AM
Not yet a 100x, but having BTC is already enough for me; it's like savings account for the long run. I just made some poor decisions, and that will be my consequence when I use my BTC for stuff. It's not that easy to have and select a coin that would make you 100x or something. That's just going to be even more complicated if you don't know what you are doing.

The best thing you can do is believe in the coin you are holding. It just means that it will be your go-to every time you have money or something.

I chose BTC because it will be the best-stored value coin, wherever and whenever it is. It's just going to be like that.
1883  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game - Lucky Spin is fake? on: May 22, 2022, 05:45:48 AM
This is an interesting infographic. It's the first time I have seen it.
It is definitely an interesting infographic, right? It just gives you the visual representation and how much it's super impossible to have that kind of win in games.

What surprised me most was the relatively high probability of finding a pearl in an oyster. Should I stop gambling and start fishing instead?  Grin
If you can sell that pearl in the oyster for a very high price, definitely worth trying. Or maybe try plants? Lol.

If they are just properly researched or well aware on how things goes or works then for sure they would really be saying to themselves that they are
really living on a lie with those kind of mindset that they do have earlier.
I think it's hard for people to accept that that kind of happening wouldn't be easily possible to receive unless you are really lucky and just have lady luck on your side. It's not enough to think of the "Law of Attraction", it's just not that kind of thing in this universe. Lol.
1884  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game - Lucky Spin is fake? on: May 20, 2022, 07:44:53 AM
I'm not sure what site that is, but having a chance that small to win, you likely need a million spins to have a chance with that kind of win. 200+ rolls are not going to cut it for sure. Look at the numbers, not the effort you gave in the eight months. That's just like how you would win in a lottery or something. Chances are even more significant to get struck by lightning. That's not ever possible, IMO, unless you are fortunate, though.

Or maybe it's not just your day every time you do it. Perhaps it will come soon.

Additional reference that people might find interesting[1]

This is a visual representation of possible winnings that you may get or other stuff that is unlikely to happen unless that's just what the universe wants to. Imagine that it's higher to be born with 11 fingers and toes than winning the lottery.

It's not the same, but the concept is, and that's just how slim the chances you can win in something like this.

1885  Economy / Economics / Re: Using plants as a savings account on: May 20, 2022, 05:12:13 AM
I have never viewed plants like this and I think I have changed my perspective on it. I do want to utilize the space that we have got at my house to convert it to something like this. I would really like to do this knowing that it could be fruitful in terms of the future. It's really one thing that I would want when I have a large space of my own. Now what I'm thinking of is how I can make sure that I'm on the right track on doing this. I need to think long term.

This is really interesting IMO.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Is A Scam Like Terra Luna And Only Makes Millionaires Rich Who Hold 1000ETH on: May 20, 2022, 01:12:33 AM
Well, everything will be said as a "scam" if someone is affected by the current happenings.

I know that with Luna, there was a vicious attacker to the network that used $600m to make the network unstable and then make the Bitcoin reserves of Terra Luna be liquidated to make the price stable. And then another attack then it just can't be handled anymore by Luna and it continues like that.

So you're basically saying find something cheap then buy it even if the coins are 99% diluted with garbage projects?
1887  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can someone familiar with FTX help me explain this? on: May 19, 2022, 03:17:53 PM
It turns out spot margin trading was enabled for my account. I think it's enabled by default. I have disabled it and closed the position as advised by the support
Thank you for the update. That's definitely tricky knowing that if you have fat fingered a larger buy amount of a certain asset, you will automatically borrow. But that's not really a big issue if this happens. The borrowed amount will still be in your balance immediately and you can just sell it and pay the borrowed amount.

Have you paid it already?
1888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no future as a payments network, says FTX chief on: May 19, 2022, 05:21:00 AM
Maybe he is just trying to implicate that the functionality of BTC compared to the newest cryptocurrencies that are out there is outdated. It doesn't mean that it's going to be obsolete or something, but it would be different and lose in terms of function. If you look at it now, somewhere in any country, someone will use BTC to receive or send payments; you would need minutes to wait for it to be confirmed. In the real world, that's not ideal.

So I see other cryptocurrencies stepping up to the payments network. I hope that Lightning would be widespread already, but until that is user-friendly and could be quickly done, I think it's other cryptocurrencies first.

Don't get me wrong in my comment; I love BTC, but it's being realistic, and compared with the other crypto, BTC lacks in it. So that's why he said it's just going to be a store in value asset.
1889  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Centralized, Decentralized and P2P platforms on: May 19, 2022, 01:54:30 AM
After knowing this, what's next now after learning?

What's important is what they can do on their own with selecting the type of platforms they want and having to know why it's the best to use in the first place.

Centralized platforms are better when the platform is trusted, and there are features that it gives that centralized platforms offer.
  • Being the middleman in P2P transactions
  • Pay transfers from users can be done
  • Promos and referrals can be utilized

I'm not sure what else, but mostly that's what I could think of at the top of my head.

For Decentralized Exchanges, it's the anonymity and not worrying about registering anymore, but that's mostly right? I haven't used much of DEXs, that's why I don't know a lot about it, but it's kind of hard if the asset you are trading is not that liquid. You have to pay a considerable fee to get your trade through.
1890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An innovative no-code trading platform, what are your thoughts on this? on: May 18, 2022, 01:51:06 PM
Exciting ideas that you have there. I'm worried about connecting my account to it and having it have a security key. This is a cloud-based type of platform, right? Am I not installed directly on my PC? What if the cloud-based gets hacked or, worse, has access to accounts or something? That's going to be risky, IMO. The advantage of it being installed on my PC is that I can have restrictions on the IP using my API key. I don't want anybody to access my trading positions with my API.

What are your other strategies there as well?
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Squid Game still listed ? on: May 18, 2022, 06:09:41 AM
With all the trading volume they get, they would love to have their hands on that kind of volume. Squid game having a more significant value mainly is driven by its name? I guess. It's only used for trading, not actual use, for sure.

The sad part about it is that many people have lost money in LUNA and are probably affected by their living or quality of life, and it's still being used as an asset that has almost 0 value. I saw some portfolio that had $1M on Luna and is now valued at $1000, so it's scary.

The exchange is still benefitting from the trading transactions, so that is probably why it's still not out.
1892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you live through the last bear market ? If so, what did you learn ? on: May 17, 2022, 07:06:19 PM
It does seem good to sit back and relax while we have the bear market in the majority of the coins that are tradable. I do hope they will recover and make waves again in the market. I still believe that you can basically make things happen if you are part of the general traders.

Most of the coins that are endorsed have been traded already so it would be hard to recover all the losses.

The thing that I learned in the bear market is patience because you cannot control it tbh.
1893  Economy / Economics / Re: A decision to make on: May 17, 2022, 04:52:10 PM
Easy decision. You can invest in Bitcoin continuously and check how much you can afford to lose and then start from there. It will be hard when you are experiencing trouble with money but if you can, then maybe invest in it continuously. There are other things to consider, but if you are talking about the ones you gave, it's an easy decision.

If you plan your life, you need to be better with your money and only invest in the things you can risk. Don't follow us; this is not advisable for sure. But think it hard for yourself.
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun creates "the most decentralized Stablecoin" on: May 17, 2022, 01:35:36 PM
Why have I just seen this now, lol? I didn't know that Justin Sun has created his stable coin in his network. Anyway, if it does its job, why not, right? Don't you agree that it's like that?

Justin Sun decided to support small investors who had UST on their accounts: https://twitter.com/justinsuntron/status/1526149180909289472 by allocating $10 million for this. But at the same time, Justin Sun decided to simultaneously advertise his USDD stablecoin, since compensation will be paid in this coin.
I do hope that everyone would somehow get compensated with it or something. I think it's a great way that he announced it. The problem was a stable coin so proposing an alternative is a good job for him. Lol.
1895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Such News pisses me off! on: May 17, 2022, 09:32:46 AM
To be honest, it was about the crypto platform, right? Not directly to Bitcoin. So I don't completely understand why you are frustrated with it. To have your peace of mind, maybe, don't follow that TG channel anymore, and you wouldn't be pissed off with his hidden objective or something. I wouldn't want that to continue as well, that additional info that has nothing to do with anything.

I do hope everyone thinks like you. That you research before believing anything else. It's important to have facts instead of fake news in my country; that's the medium now, lol.
1896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna CEO Taking Lone walk To Luna 2.0 on: May 17, 2022, 02:54:06 AM
I'm sad that I had just read this when I bought Luna off someone in the exchange. It just lost another 27% of its value, and I think the CEO is not planning to make amends by making the initial holders of the coin return their investments. They are just going to be moved and replaced by another currency. Lol. I hope they make it to a point where they will return or somehow incentivize those who have lost a lot.
1897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Usdt vs BTC price corellation on: May 16, 2022, 01:55:59 PM
I know that Terra and Luna have needed some savings and caused the sale of Bitcoin, causing the price to crash. That's the downside when the assets are dependent on keeping the price stable 1:1. The attacker has flooded the market and made it so that the investments in pools will get unlocked, and since it's pegged and dependent on BTC price, it needed to sell off some BTC to keep it balanced. A more significant amount of money has flooded the market and then dumped it all.

It's easy to profit for the attacker, that's for sure. I know it's estimated to have $800m of gain.
1898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Phones on mobile wallet becoming riskier on: May 16, 2022, 12:59:20 PM
This will be the case now for a more modern theft or something. It's not just the wallet applications but also the trading exchange applications that can be utilized. If there is access to the phone, then they can manage to log in to the app (they are probably hoping that it's still logged in) and then probably withdraw in some way. They could also put to use the wallet apps. Imagine custodial wallets just requiring you to receive an OTP to your device, and you can then send the balance you have on that wallet to another one.

It's going to be a hard thing to do, to manage everything in one device and then lose it. People should be vigilant with their smartphones.
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin on: May 16, 2022, 10:14:43 AM
This good news really. I have read multiple articles that making Bitcoin a legal tender in El Salvador, wasn't as expected or what the people wanted and wasn't utilized much. Maybe if they were to discuss this in the ways that would be in a fruitful discussion, why not? Maybe when all the countries represented there provide a great solution to what El Salvador have started and provide possible useful applications to Bitcoin use in their respective countries.

This is exciting to hear, maybe more and more people would be able to buy and get more of it continuously.
1900  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Urgent help required plz - supposed to make a short trade but have I gone long? on: May 16, 2022, 09:46:12 AM
Upon checking your screenshots, you are definitely in a long position. If you check the liquidation price, it's $14414 and you can only get liquidated if the price goes so low. So that's correct that you have made a long position instead of a short position.

It turned out the trade went exactly as I'd planned but it did not appear on my "Open Orders" until I refreshed the page!... very frustrating!
That's good that you have managed the right position. I know a lot of people who got burned towards what the market is doing now.
