Unless you already have 90% consensus, then you need to completely shut your mouth about any proposed hard fork because it is too "contentious" and might give the mods a headache. Any hard fork that doesn't instantly gain consensus should never be talked about unless you have some unbelievable, never-before-heard-by-mankind level of information about it. If you do have such info, then you get to make one single thread about it, and one thread only, so you better make it a thread that is so good that 90% of bitcoiners are in favor of the hard fork. this kind of topics belongs in meta. and posting outside of meta while you're banned is considered a ban evasion.
if you're asking this I assume the ban message didn't specify how long you have to wait before the ban is lifted, which means that you got perma-banned. your only option is to wait for months before coming back and make an appeal. but there are some cases where a ban won't be lifted no matter how long you wait.

I assume OP is talking about the fee you have to pay to use Bitcointalk if your IP is blacklisted. That feature was implemented to combat spammers among other things. I didn't even know such a thing (feature) existed. Is there a post somewhere detailing this information? Not that I expect to need it, just this post aroused my curiosity on how/why it was implemented. couldn't find any "official" thread about it. but there's an explanation posted by theymos here. |

Yet since he left, we've seen 1 occurrence to clear Dorian's name, and this today expressing his disappointment on the block size issue. If anyone other than Satoshi held control of those accounts, I wager that position would be milked dry for personal gain.
It was not Satoshi who wrote the post "I am not Dorian Nakamoto". That was the person who re-registered his account after it expired. GMX.com confirmed it and, I think, has locked that account now from registration. And for what its worth, IMO I don't think Satoshi Nakamoto is alive anymore. aaand that guy emailed theymos asking for coins. even go as far as threatening to hitman theymos. |
