1341  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitmixer.io SCAM. Once a legit site now apperently went bad on: September 29, 2015, 09:57:19 PM
what the hell is this letter of guarantee (i also replied asking them the same thing..and got absolutely no reply)??

it's a signed message from their official address stating that all btc sent to generated address will be forwarded to your address.

but if you don't know that it means you didn't downloaded it. you should always download AND verify it before sending any btc.
You don't really think that any such website sends out anything close to some sort of a "letter of guarantee", do you?

what do you mean? I know they generate a unique letter for every transaction.
1342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your bitcoins ? on: September 29, 2015, 09:28:52 PM
in the blockchain. I store my private key on my... nvm. why should I tell you?

my wallet is in my pc. if that's what you're asking.

1345  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin Fog on: September 29, 2015, 07:54:26 PM
I take it you never received those bitcoins you mixed? if so then you should try contacting their support.

tbh I think those btc will never reach their destination.
1346  Economy / Auctions / Re: Senior member auction. on: September 29, 2015, 07:36:06 PM
FYI that's almost the BIN amount for most Sr. Member account complete with signature campaign and sometimes with positive trust.

and you forgot to mention if signed message are available or not.
1347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does escrow thing works??? Plzz explain me on: September 29, 2015, 07:30:59 PM
So, instead of trusting the other person you trust in the escrow person (who has a lot more reputation, but still can run away with the money). Am I right?

yes. that's why it's wise to choose an escrow with really high rep for your safety.
1348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next target: 260-270 on: September 29, 2015, 06:39:02 PM
that would be good and all but I doubt we'll reach $260 just yet. it's just small rallies.

1 question though. what did you drink last night?
1349  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk activity, rank, and trust increase on: September 29, 2015, 06:19:12 PM
I understand that, what I meant about trust is when do the number of trust vouches make your feedback numbers turn color?

5-14 trust point = light green.
15+ trust point = dark green.

note that trust point is different from feedback. read this.

whoops late.

light green at 5, dark green at 10 IIRC.

it's 15 for dark green.
1350  Other / Meta / Re: correct 'quote' syntax in forums like this on: September 28, 2015, 09:22:32 PM
oh that. I don't think they're intentional. I've done that a lot too when I tried to "snip" a multiquote. in fact I did it when I posted the post above. hence the whoops.  Tongue
it just that some people only post and go to another thread.
1351  Other / Meta / Re: correct 'quote' syntax in forums like this on: September 28, 2015, 07:31:17 PM
can you give an example of it? IMO if it's like this then it's just due to habit and preference.

-snip-
Some people are using the
...
function of the BCT simple machines forum in the wrong way.
-snip-

edit:
whoops.
1352  Other / Meta / Re: Why i cant reopen my thread? on: September 28, 2015, 06:44:21 PM
Did you try unlock it at the bottom left or are you trying to unlock it by editing it?

I don't think the edit button will be there if the thread is locked... saw a locked thread of mine and there's no edit button.
1353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What will happen on 7/26/16 on: September 28, 2015, 04:59:57 PM
price will be higher. and I will take a [censored] on the moon.

probably.
1354  Other / New forum software / Re: Featurerequest: Give other users the right to moderate a self-moderated thread on: September 28, 2015, 04:26:11 PM
why? self-moderated threads is only useful for deleting posts. and 1 person should be enough for that.

Why is there a self-moderated thread in the first place Huh

Every single experience I had with it wasn't good.

it have plenty of uses. to stop trolling, spam, derails, flame wars, etc.
some people just delete every replies once they are finished with the thread though.
1355  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: September 28, 2015, 03:31:35 AM
can stoned bananas lift weights?
1356  Other / Off-topic / Re: Supermoon lunar eclipse on: September 28, 2015, 03:00:06 AM
it's not viewable in my country.. can't see a thing here but the ground.  Sad
1357  Other / Meta / Re: Requesting Moderator privileges on: September 28, 2015, 12:52:58 AM
I feel that if you want to be a mod. you should know better than to make 3 posts in a row (with a sig ad) just to reply to one person.  Lips sealed

OT:
how did saltyspitoon linked you to brunoshady again? I thought global mods can't see our IPs.
1358  Other / Meta / Re: Can someone with Ban authority look at recent posts of RGBKey on: September 28, 2015, 12:30:57 AM
His post quality is low, however is not spam. He is most likely trying to get all the posts he need for his signature campaign. While this can come up as annoying for some users, it's fine even if poor practice.

OP can go check the signature campaign's rules to see if posting that way is not respecting the minimum post quality and then report it to the Campaign Manager, but unless OP is on a personal grudge, i would avoid this witchhunt.

those posts won't get counted because that signature campaign already ended. so in the end the dude spammed for nothing.

from what I've seen, posts like that won't get you perma-banned. so the only way to get them to stop is to let badbear or theymos know (via the report button or PM) as they are the only people who can temp-ban.

edit:
he said he got paid. but I doubt it's true. it's not even wednesday.
1359  Other / Meta / Re: Requesting Moderator privileges on: September 27, 2015, 10:49:05 PM
If you've modded other forums, as you say you have, you would know that asking like this doesn't work. In fact, I would say it lowers your chances.

on the bright side. OP brought his name up to the top of the queue.  Tongue
all that's left is to wait for theymos to decide.

Also, the forum needs mature people, not people with

Quote
Age:   -1976
Location:   Behind You

in their profiles.

saltyspitoon is 12 years old. and LZ lives in the blockchain. :v
1360  Other / Meta / Re: Forum hacked? [Nope just kidding] on: September 27, 2015, 09:37:08 PM
I wonder if this is a stock simple machines thing or if this is something theymos did when he got bored.

looks like it's an SMF easter egg. tried to search for boobs post but couldn't find anything. but not many people have 80085 posts soo..
