1021  Other / Meta / Re: How often is Activity updated ? on: January 19, 2016, 04:28:36 PM
once in every hour (approximately), IIRC. I'm not sure about the second question. does it even matter?  Tongue

can someone tell me if I'm the only one experiencing this problem? I can't register. always got the "registration is temporary off" message. been like this for almost a week now days.
1023  Other / Meta / Re: What about Dead Thread Resurrecters ? on: January 19, 2016, 03:59:02 PM
This is both unnecesary and unhelpful, though it is fairly easy to not notice the date as I have done it myself before, but these sorts of posts and all of the following will likely be removed if the bump was deemed unnecesary or spam.

See,you deleted all the bumps in that thread, some fool made a new account just to bump it again which is followed by comment from another member.

lol. must be someone we know. and one of the posts that got deleted before was acroman08's too (he posted again or maybe that post was recovered).

I never thought that the spam problem (normal users spam) was this bad...
1024  Other / Meta / Re: What about Dead Thread Resurrecters ? on: January 19, 2016, 03:28:03 PM
fuck off we can't look at the date on every post you fucking hypocrite go kill yourself and get cancer you Indian scum

what kinda argument is that? of course you can (and should) look at the date of every latest post of the thread that you are going to reply to.
1025  Other / Meta / Re: What about Dead Thread Resurrecters ? on: January 19, 2016, 03:24:22 PM
necroing a thread is allowed as long as you have a good reason for it (up to the mods to decide if it's good or not).
IMO the guy who necroed that thread you linked are just shitposting.

1027  Other / Meta / Re: User keeps deleting & bumping thread on: January 19, 2016, 10:30:44 AM
yes, it isn't allowed. good job spotting that.
I wonder, can users use the report button for this kind of stuff? I'm not sure if normal mods can see the deleted bumps.

I think this is a meta thing.
1028  Other / Meta / Re: post got deleted but no message? on: January 18, 2016, 09:31:24 PM
I thought we always get a message when our post got deleted?

Not always.

Remove topic = No deletion message
Split thread > Move Trashcan/Remove topic = No deletion message

aha. so that's what happened. I was starting to suspect that I was imagining things and never actually posted it. thanks for the clarification.

1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you guys use to exchange alt-coins now that cryptsy is closed? on: January 18, 2016, 08:48:26 PM
My opinion might seem a little biased, seeing as how I'm in their sig campaign, but Yobit has been pretty good so far as an exchange.  I use them to trade a little DOGE here and there and trades are always quick and there are no problems with withdrawals.  One thing I miss is the automatic sell orders that you could use with Cryptsy.  I don't think Yobit has that functionality.

wanted to try yobit too but they're not allowing me to register (message: Registration is temporary off. since the 15th January). so I went and used poloniex, which is so-so compared to how cryptsy used to be.
1030  Other / Meta / Re: The "Bump" Spam? on: January 18, 2016, 08:45:11 PM
if they only bump once a day and delete their old bump before posting a new one I don't see any problem.
1031  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Nevermind on: January 18, 2016, 07:48:23 PM
because account sales are allowed but very frowned upon. that's why most sellers hide behind another accounts.
1032  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling My Account. on: January 18, 2016, 07:45:44 PM
that account is going to be worthless once a certain individuals see this thread and give you a neg.

edit:
fast and smart.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1331940.0

there was couple of posts replying to the first and third posts. those are gone. off-topic maybe.
Your post still seems to be here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1331940.msg13590808#msg13590808

not that one. there was more posts there and one more of mine which got deleted.
still strange that I got no message for that.

1035  Other / Meta / post got deleted but no message? on: January 18, 2016, 07:01:28 PM
just checked for replies to my post today and I found one missing with no deletion message. the thread is still there (moved to meta, locked, and about 3 posts above mine were also deleted). I thought we always get a message when our post got deleted?
1036  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you know to play an instrument ? #014 on: January 18, 2016, 04:14:39 AM
I know a little piano and guitar. haven't touched a string for more than a year though.
I do occasionally play the drum on my lap, but I don't think that counts.  Grin
1037  Other / Meta / Re: Buying Bitcointalk Account??? on: January 18, 2016, 03:57:39 AM
you can use as many account as you want on any board (in/outside of meta) as long as you don't break the rules. like spamming, or replying to your alt's post, etc.
1038  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER from10to1280 on: January 18, 2016, 03:42:20 AM
users can't delete threads, though. only mods and admins can do that.

man, don't do a deal without escrow with a newbie..  Undecided
1039  Other / Archival / Re: Theymos you have 48 hours on: January 18, 2016, 03:21:19 AM
Autoban is permanent, unless manually removed/modified. Nuke bans and removes all of a user's posts (spambots usually).  Manually applied bans won't show up in the modlog, those are usually temporary, but not always.

I'm not saying that theymos banned OP. like I said, it's not like a ban would have any effect on their ability to create another account.
1040  Other / Archival / Re: Theymos you have 48 hours on: January 18, 2016, 03:11:47 AM
not all bans are shown on the modlog. but even if OP is banned he can make another account and post here.
