1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XMR, DASH, ZCASH in 2020 on: January 11, 2020, 04:26:01 PM
Hi, what do you think? Is it worth to buy privacy coins (XMR, DASH, ZCASH) in 2020?

If you dont use them and just buy to hold or resell it dont matters. You can stay with surveillance coins. If you plan to use them, then Monero s a must. So merchant where you will spend them cant see how much money you have and where you got it and what else you bought. Not to mention that Monero you hold have no history. No one will know if maybe in past Pope Francis had it or Qasem Soleimani or Luka Dončić. No info attached at all.
1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about NEO? on: January 10, 2020, 08:36:09 PM
For once, NEO was the hottest Blockchain project in the crypto space. Prices were well above $100 per coin, ...

And then they baned crypto in China and all went to hell Sad

Luckily now no one in china is allowed to call NEO blockchain a scam anymore Smiley  So at least NEO organisers that got rich by selling tokens in ICO can walk proud in China.
1923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it worth analyzing Bitcoin price chart? Well... Bitcoin will increase on: January 10, 2020, 08:00:48 PM
Yeah. As i said in the subject, is it really worth it?

I mean is it really worth learning how to read its chart?

It is worth if you are a trader. For the rest is not worth. We just stare at them and that is it.
If you plan to trade you simply learn how to read charts. There are gazillion courses on internet about trading. weed out some good ones. Ofcourse it will take some time to learn. Crypto is much easier then trading other things so you will have more success are people that trade other things.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Iran again want to make some dirty things on: January 10, 2020, 05:39:49 PM
today I read the news that Iran has warned about "more serious revenge" against the United States. such statements are not some kind of joke and what exactly they can do?  Huh

Irans plan is to push USA out of middle east. Right now are surrounded by USA military bases. In the future those bases will minimise.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will the price of LTC peak again in 2020? on: January 10, 2020, 05:14:48 PM
will the price of LTC peak again in 2020?

Nope. Most likely price of Litecoin will peak in 2022 again. Right now is close to bottom. So It is very hard to expect to go from bottom to ATH in a single year.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still or altcoins on: January 10, 2020, 04:20:21 PM
Putting all my money on bitcoin is more smarter than going for altcoins? I think bitcoin will always surge even if it loses value today, i never think twice about this anymore because in the past if i never switched to altcoin i would have be in big profit today, what do you guys think about my plan? Stupid or 👍

Putting all your money in cryptocurrenies is dumb since all could be obsolete and never used. They are very risky investments with high profits. I would believe everyone knows that putting all your money in very risky investment was a no go 1000 years ago and will be a no go 1000 years from now.
1927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling top at $16500 (Even Newer!: $2483 bottom 19 Feb 2021 MtGox said so!) on: January 10, 2020, 03:13:12 PM
This tells me that forum sentiment is bullish as ever with the average guess ~44% higher than the current price.

They are bullish about the hype that will halving bring. You know the soup is hottest as soon as is cooked. Who believes there will be no hype in April or/and May is wrong. Also who believes price will not return to pre April values in June is most likely also wrong.
1928  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can ISIS resurrect after great fighter against ISIS was assassinated? on: January 08, 2020, 03:11:35 PM
I don't think so! The defeat of ISIS was mostly due to the collaborative efforts of coalition forces spearheaded by USA excluding that of Iran's militias headed by the late Soleimani and even without their help, I think ISIS was already doomed to collapse.

But it did not collapse. My question is what will next few years bring. Can they resurrect to their previous power?
1929  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving, who's closest with actual Nrs TAKE A CHANCE on the LIST !!! on: January 07, 2020, 10:14:44 PM
If Bitcoin is any good at all, global unrest is exactly what it is designed for..

That is all fine. But will there be any world left for us to enjoy that Bitcoin at higher value? Well  I am sure we are not able totally blow up the Earth. But what will be quality of life on it is my question.

Ok, April is not that far. But externalities are strong, so I guess just 16849 $  Cheesy

Why April? Halving is mid May.

EDIT: I just saw I did not read much OP when I first rushed to set number Tongue
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Website that will tell you how rich you really are? on: January 07, 2020, 07:15:46 PM
No sorry there is no such app or software that gives such result and you will never see one end if you keep finding, crypto earnings are meant to be secret why do you want to rate yourself? You are holding your private key you can easily be a target

They can be secret only on blockhains with opaque ledger. For blockchains with transparent ledger there will be soon services for what is OP asking. There are gazillion startups doing block chain analysis right now.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 07, 2020, 06:27:04 PM
Interesting article from Brian Armstrong. Definitely well worth reading if you enjoy thinking long term:
https://nakamoto.com/crypto-in-the-2020s/

Among his predictions:
Privacy. In addition to scalability, I think we’ll also see privacy integrated into one of the dominant chains in the 2020s. Just like how the internet launched with HTTP, and only later introduced HTTPS as a default on many websites, I believe we’ll eventually see a “privacy coin” or blockchain with built in privacy features get mainstream adoption in the 2020s. It doesn’t make sense in most cases to broadcast every payment you make on a transparent ledger.

Yes he is just another guy in the line of guys talking about Monero but not mention Monero. You can hear this from Andreas Antonopoulos in every second talk. You can see this by all those that builds Bitcoin infrastructure and get feedback from the users.  You dont need opaque ledger if you dont use crypto currency. It is really simple and most people dont use it. So they dont see the need for it.

I saw this article today from world economic forum https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/01/these-3-technologies-will-permanently-change-the-banking-sector
They clearly state that for users beside security privacy is most important thing, but latter on at what blockchain brings us praise its transparency.  People dont want that!
1932  Economy / Economics / Re: Best Stocks to buy this year? on: January 07, 2020, 06:02:06 PM
Best Stocks to buy this year?

I dont think 2020 is a good year to buy any stock. Well unless a huge war start then ofcourse buy weapon company stocks. But then you will not be able to use your profits for long.
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 07, 2020, 12:26:40 AM
Yes. In last week or months I mainly had felling people wait for end of winter for market to turn, but I guess they could be wrong. Apparently if we stay over 0.0075 btc that will be extremely positive.
1934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH price in 2020 on: January 06, 2020, 09:17:26 PM
I was surprised by seeing the recent growth of Bitcoin cash! There was not much talk or hype about BCH Coin, but it pumped highly. Personally, I don't love this coin, but I have to admit that BCH is one of the most profitable coins, at least better than Ethereum if you compare 2018 & 2019!

Yes it is profitable for Bitcoin bagholders. They are the ones that earned tons of money out of air by creation of this coin.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 06, 2020, 08:47:54 PM
What is happening now is slow and consistent. Fast is to make a x3 in 2 days. That is still ahead of us. I doubt we will have to wait to 2021 for that.

To look closely. In 4 days Monero gained 10k satoshi against Bitcoin. 20 days ago in a week lost 10k satoshi. This what is happening right now is just a regular day in the office for Monero. Really nothing unusual.

1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Under supervision, do you think that anonymous coins have a future? on: January 06, 2020, 08:25:50 PM
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! According to the current situation, cryptocurrencies are about to be brought under government supervision. Do you think that anonymous coins have a future in this case? How should we choose, thank you for your proposal

With more KYC there wil be greater need for opaque ledger cryptocurrencies.

What governments do now is set regulations. Regulations will be more about how coins gets created then how they work.
1937  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Usage In Mainstream Examples on: January 06, 2020, 07:58:12 PM
As we start 2020, looking back at 2019 and before that - what in your opinion were the biggest innovations where implementation of blockchain was a big step forward (medical, economical, scientific etc) and how did it impact those that were to be beneficiaries of that implementation?

Kindly list them and share your opinions

Biggest innovation of blockchain is money. It helps to be able to move it fast, cheap and securely and untraceable. It is premisionless and censorship resistant.    I mean what else do you want really?
1938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2020, 01:28:15 PM
What exactly defines a 'fork'

Bitcoin got forked many times ... not always contentious, but I d say even LTC and ETH are forks - at least from the initial idea - also having lots of Bitcoin's code

There is block chain fork like BCH or protocol fork like LTC.   Well you have also soft and hard fork and maybe some more, but not in this context.
1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Sharia coin Stop dollar dependency in the middle east on: January 06, 2020, 12:13:59 AM
Looking for developers to help produce a sharia coin to stop US dollar dependency in the middle east.

You do not need to make own coin for that. All you need is to pick one coin and use it instead of USD. Normal crypto coins are premisionless censorship resistant and decentralised. So everyone can use them.
1940  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can ISIS resurrect after great fighter against ISIS was assassinated? on: January 05, 2020, 10:37:13 PM
I'm having difficulty in understanding exactly what he has done in the past few years.

It is not hard to find that really. I got this as first hit on google. https://theintercept.com/2019/11/18/iran-isis-iraq-kurds/

Question is what is next. Does Iran have anyone to replace Soleimani in this fight. He was great organisers. Iran will definitively continue to fight, but how efficient they will be.
