1921  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: June 18, 2017, 02:26:36 PM
According to my friend preev.com, as of press time, the value of Bitcoin is standing at $2,351. Though I would say that this still considered as a feat, some are worried because it almost reached $2,800 again after the correction that happened days ago.

I have read that the decline can partly be contributed to newcomers especially neophyte traders who still have to be well-versed on the market...and can easily be ignited to do panic selling once they can fell that anything can be wrong.

Against this backdrop...are you holding on to your Bitcoin or transferring it into another digital currency?
Though the saying that whatsoever goes up must come down is a fact of life, Bitcoin here is going to be one of the exceptional cases where drops in price wouldn't necessarily mean anti climax. It is simply the normal course of every financial asset to move in wave-like form, forming troughs and crests as they go.
1922  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: June 18, 2017, 02:05:00 PM
If you want to double your money using BTC just wait until the price of BTC in the market was fall down then deposit high amount and wait until the BTC price where going up. Moreover, if you want another strategy you can try your luck in gambling. It was not only double if it is possible to become triple, quadruple and so on.
The first suggestion to scout for some good entry point and buy as much coins as possible is the easiest and safest way to double one's Bitcoin and quadruple one's paper money. Outside of that, the risk becomes quite pronounced and instead of doubling one's money, anyone taking some other ways, like gambling most likely ends up doubling their losses and pains.
1923  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: June 17, 2017, 09:49:26 PM
Im thinking of quitting and just focus in btc, theres more future in btc than my work. Btc value keeps on growing my salary not.
I hope you do not end up disappointed, because I can perceive your present job and salary are not really the source of your problem, neither would putting all your time to Bitcoin turn out the Midas touch you crave. What you should throw your time and resources behind is your personal development - become more knowledgeable and resourceful and the rest would be history.
1924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $3000 on: June 17, 2017, 06:02:44 PM
...Just as there does not seem to be enough reasons to explain the current bullish trend, there also seems to be no reasons to expect a sharp drop in price, so in my opinion after a few days oscillating between  2,700 and 2,900, the line of $3,000 will be far behind by the end of this month.
Whoa! It should be a clueless newbie holding such a view and not a hero of this forum! The surge in the price of Bitcoin is obviously as a result of increased demand orchestrated by more adoption across the globe. The factors behind the increase in demand are fundamental and pertinent, meaning they are here to stay so we can expect that the end of the upsurge  is not yet in view.

As for the drop in price of Bitcoin, it is normal for any financial asset as its price never continues indefinitely in anyone direction. It is more or less a cooling off to gather momentum for the next climb.
1925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ARBITRAGE: Bitstamp -> CEX.IO - Proof of Concept on: June 16, 2017, 10:01:09 PM
Hi everyone!  Wink

I am newbie on bitcointalk.org and hope that I created thread in right place.

I have an idea how to make arbitrage between exchanges and make money without any risk.

But I am trying to undertand where I am wrong.

The idea is simple - buy bitcoin on Bitstamp @$2374.99 and sell on CEX.IO @$2540.00.
Profit is $165.01 per 1 BTC.

Could you dab me where I am wrong?  Roll Eyes

If you have big enough amount money then it is worth to wait even 20 days. Otherwise doesn't worth to wait. I know some people doing this all the time but most of them doing this as a company so they can play with big amount money.
Actually it could come easier and more profitable with the availability of some significant fund. You circumvent the fees and time lag by having significant amounts of fiat and crypto at both or all the exchanges you intend working with, then as you buy say 1BTC at the cheaper exchange, you also sell 1BTC at the other exchange with higher price. After several transactions you can now cash out without any pressure.
1926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Litecoin on: June 16, 2017, 09:39:51 PM
What is Best investment in 2017 in Bitcoin or in Litecoin ?

in 2013 Bitcoin was at 1100+ USD and that Time Litecoin was at 80+ USD but than due to crypto market falls Bitcoin falls 1100+ USD to 150+ USD and Litecoin fall 80+ USD to 1+ USD means both are falls around 80% now bitcoin increased upto 500% already in compare of 2014 Price But litecoin increase 400% only so if we considered litecoin increase more 100% in 2017 than litecoin price around 60 USD and if we invest in bitcoin than it is tough to increase bitcoin price 6000 USD in 2017 so according to my suggestion litecoin is best for investment.

Please tell me your opinion what major community says.

you have just listed random numbers without meaning some of which are also wrong.
i believe litecoin will go up but not just because of a series of numbers you listed but because it will be pumped soon enough. and mostly because  it is the clone of bitcoin and since bitcoin does not have any scaling solution implemented yet that gives litecoin, which has already implemented it, an edge.

in the end LTC is not yet adopted like all the rest of the altcoins but it is gaining some momentum again because of bitcoin's situation. and the longer it takes for bitcoin to come up with consensus the more these altcoins will get pumped.
You just nailed it! Litecoin is a mirror image of Bitcoin, making them positively correlated, so that whatever affects Bitcoin most likely goes to affect Litecoin too. However only recently Litecoin had some added advantage and was able to gain more grounds. That however doesn't make it autonomous or a strict competition to Bitcoin, because its pioneer status, community and capitalization remains outstanding and a benchmark .
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening ? = all coins down by 20 to 35 % on: June 16, 2017, 01:33:22 PM
This is the reason why altcoins and bitcoins is down you can check here: http://www.coindesk.com/sea-red-top-10-cryptocurrencies-see-steep-declines-market-turns/ . This is the good time to buy altcoins and bitcoins at lower price
The highlight of the article is this:
Quote
All in all, the development comes hours after traders reported preparing for a correction as the market's recent upward momentum slowed, and weeks after many had begun sounding the alarm that the market had become wildly divorced from fundamentals.

As such, speculation is high that this correction might only be the beginning of more declines.

What it really implies is that the market have long been overpriced and overbought and drop in price had been long coming. All the same, it is nothing uncommon to see market react in such manner. as a matter of fact, savvy traders have been waiting for a time like this, when coins become cheaper to buy again.
1928  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will up. dont worrry on: June 16, 2017, 01:00:23 PM
Bitcoin has a history of periods with up and downs. I think that's fueled by the speculators too, since that's the best way for them to earn money.
And yes, i also think that Bitcoin will be soon back up. I think that Bitcoin feels good around 2500 EUR and may fluctuate around it this summer.
Not just a Bitcoin thing, but every financial asset takes after that fashion of wave-like movement. Price never continues indefinitely in any one direction, but responds to pressures of buyers or sellers, whichever is dominant. That way, if much more people start to sell their Bitcoin, then we can expect a drop in price and at some support level, buyers will start mopping up the excess and price soon pick up again.

We can be sure that when price reverses again, $3000 will be tested this time around, so it is in effect an opportunity to buy again at a cheaper rate.
1929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: June 16, 2017, 11:56:00 AM
you are trading emotionally . put your buy orders / sell orders = then close the platform and come back few hours later to see how it goes
Not a so good recommendation to overcome losses, I mean to say you are not including technical analysis to safeguard capital while buying and selling. Staying away for not closely watching trading must be a good idea but it work only when our technical analysis will be backing us. Otherwise big losses are easily available when we are not watching market fluctuations.
Simple enough, the only reason 40% can be up and gone with slight reversal in market price is absence of money and risk management. Most newbies to especially cryptotrading are presumptuous that none of technical analysis nor position sizing is needed in cryptotrading, so they end up with avoidable mistakes. Like a wise saying goes, there're no mountains anywhere, every man's ignorance is his mountain  Cool

1935  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now Bitcoin Price Will Be Stable - 2700 USD, So No Rush To Sale on: June 14, 2017, 02:12:43 PM
I think it is just consolidating right now between $2600-2700, it may take few days but definitely the price will resume its positive rise and break the $3000 barrier. Its a matter of time imo
I agree it's simply gathering momentum for the leap to $3000. Good for Bitcoin if more people still feel obliged to take profit, as market  dynamics would churn that up to mean cheaper price for Bitcoin and then buyers would swoop in to mop up the excess.
1936  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you have 10 bitcoin !! on: June 13, 2017, 05:41:00 PM
If you have BTCBTC 10 BTC BTCBTC you will sold it now with 2800 USD ? or hold it for the future ?

and if you hold it for the future , for how much ..... USD you will sold it ?
I will hold.. i won't sell unless price is $10k or above. it's a long wait and i think i can wait until one bitcoin costs $10k.
That would be well worth it if you also got means for raise more money for your personal needs and prospects. For me, if I could raise 10 BTC then raising more sure won't be rocket science. I would lock away 5 BTC in some cold wallet and trade/invest the other half to earn more. That way, by the time the price eventually hits the moon, I would no longer be talking of just 10 BTC
1937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bank Interest VS Bitcoin profits on: June 13, 2017, 10:31:18 AM
Bank interest is designed to make you poor. It doesn't make you poor instantly (sometimes it does if a bank goes bankrupt) but slowly. You should never ever count on bank interest. You can't make any money by counting on interest rates. It is for dumb people.

This can't be avoided.  Government and banks joined force to brainwash people from their young age that their best friend in finance are banks.

Actually you shouldn't even keep all of your money in banks, far too dangerous. I am not saying that you should withdraw everything and bury them, but at least keep some of your wealth somewhere away from banks' reach.

I agree, keeping our money in banks are too dangerous, they have all the power to access it, freeze it or even steal it in a broad day light.

Bitcoin is way better than banks because we hold it ourself, it is a good store of value and very secured network.

I keep some of my money in big banks. They are better than some bitcoin exchanges.
Small banks, big banks, they are birds of the same feather, Shylock was their progenitor. For your deposits, they offer you pea nuts and if you turn around to seek for any loan from them, that is when you would understand what interest your deposit was really worth. They (the governments) got it all figured out to whip people into line through their agent - the banks and it is no wonder Bitcoin is more or less their nightmare.

By the way, exchanges are places to exchange your money and never where they should be stored.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH/btc My 2 cents ? on: June 13, 2017, 09:51:16 AM
ETH is rising in price at a ridiculous speed but I personally am not interested in investing. I feel that investments like this can be manipulated to the extreme. The only person guaranteed to not get burnt here is Buterin
ETH is simply being masterminded to see if it could rob shoulders with Bitcoin, but one thing those pumpers are oblivious of is the fact, Bitcoin foundation actually ran deep else it would have been history in the cause of the last 8 - 9 years. ETH is like a brat, it would soon get its feel of what growing up all too quickly really feels like!
1939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $3000 on: June 12, 2017, 05:41:25 PM
I see it 2920$ on preev.com and 2950$ on CoinMarketCap, where is the 3000$? Anyway, I'm a really optimistic person but let's deal with it. It's just a matter of time till It drops again because people are looking for the short term gains and start panic selling, while they could simply wait a few weeks/months to make big, If not huge earnings.
It is just by the corner, meaning it would only require a little push and we are there! No doubt, by the time we finally get there, lots of traders are likely to take profit and that would lead to drop from the new high, but that wont be the end of the road as further appreciation in the price of Bitcoin in 2017, remains in view given the increase in its adoption across the globe.
1940  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: June 11, 2017, 10:53:05 PM
Maybe the increase is due to market demand, maybe it's time for bitcoin to fall again and also increase the price, therefore now many people who leave his job does not mean rising bitcoin price but increasing bitcoin users.
The current price is not a indicator to show that more users are coming into bitcoin, the recent price rise denotes that huge investments are coming into bitcoin and they are not from people leaving their jobs for spending full time in bitcoin . Cheesy
More people are actually embracing Bitcoin not necessarily because of the price, but because it meets their needs much more than their local currencies could and these increase in demand as Econs (101) stipulates turns around to shore up the price. That is the case from Mexico to Venezuela, India, etc and it has absolutely nothing to do with people quitting their jobs.
