1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: March 17, 2018, 08:01:30 PM
ofcourse it will recover.
it will and it will be bigger then last time.
like it is repeating itselves like every year.

True that...

It a cycle that always completes itself. Understanding the past lets one prepare/plan strategically for the future.

The market will keep falling to a base minimum where BTC 'may' deep to $6k and from there it starts going up again successively.

Every Socio-Political, Socio-economical events affects the market either negatively or positively..

Whatever happens just bear in mind that Blockchain Technology is here to stay, it's financial attributes (which is disrupting the status quo) are the bone of contention globally amongst the 1%.

^ This.

Everytime the market crashes, people think crypto is dead.. But time after time crypto proves them wrong.

If you have invested long-term.. Check back in a year, no need to update the portfolio value 24/7 if you are not a trader anyway.
Anyone with a good understanding of Bitcoin and the technology behind it, is hardly bothered by talks that Bitcoin is crashing, already dead and all that negativity, because of their conviction that Bitcoin and its technology gave the world some unprecedented gifts, no one can afford to ignore. Instead of Bitcoin going under, let's watch out a great rebounce is by the corner.
1082  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: March 17, 2018, 06:49:51 PM
I have learned from my experience that when market is in red zone .Never sell off,wait for some time and it will be green.Have patience.
Having patience is one of the strongholds of HODL, but in the situation that a trader is the type that thinks little of what price he gets to enter the market, a market in red zone might be too unnerving for the trader to remember and exercise patience. At times like that, a trader is between the devil and the deep blue sea - to avoid such a situation, a trader should always plan their trade and endeavor to trade their plan!
1083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: March 17, 2018, 02:36:40 PM
Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?

I'm on Panic if the price of bitcoin is dump. Especially when l am in need l used to sold already  because  l need money for my kids. But now people panic on holding bitcoin  because of the promising price in the future.
If the above still represents your reaction whenever the price of Bitcoin plunges, it shows there's need for your trading skills to be overhauled. First and foremost, a good trader analyzes whatever asset they're going to commit their money on and whatever change that needed to be made, is never done midstream. Beyond that, you do not invest money you cannot afford to lose, because emotionally one would be destabilized and end up making avoidable mistakes.

HODL seems to be mistaken for some holy grail or fail proof strategy, but it's not! Quality studies and analysis of the asset is still very vital to forestall a situation where one ends up buying at the peak price and losing so much value when a plunge ensues.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: March 17, 2018, 11:16:08 AM
Its all over for crypto. It has its days, whales made money from innocent people. Now it is coming to rest. Everything is being exposed starting from tether scam, how whales manipulated the price.

RIP crypto 2009-2019 3
I was wondering why anyone would be capable of such negativity until I looked closely and found, it was coming from a zombie afterall. I hope you'd get to look at things from a rational point of view, you'll discover Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are now deep rooted in global economy and they're not going anywhere. Whenever there's a drop in the price of Bitcoin plunging smart traders see opportunities while others look for coverage

1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Day trader or Hodler, what's the right choice? (in bear market) on: March 17, 2018, 08:21:40 AM
day trading is so hard. You see a coin and you say its dip lets buy some but than btc goes under 9k and your coin has a new dip Smiley  if you hold a coin you know it will recover one day for sure but must be carefull and never buy shitcoins. Coins with real project ,good team and even with a product can make new ath.
You don't seem to realize that HODL is only an arm of a long position, so traders are already applying it and much more tactics in their everyday trading.  Worthy of mention is the fact that day trading presents traders with the opportunity of making money regardless of the value of the asset, unlike the hibernation period and which could be indefinite, which HODL often entails.

As par the bull market returning in April /May, you shall be needing a crystal ball to be able to decipher that, but what  really does that help? What's necessary is to stay abreast with developments in the market and taking informed market decisions and the profits would most likely follow.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bcash to 20,000$ end of 2018 on: March 17, 2018, 07:30:22 AM
Bcash will rise to 20,000 by the end of the year. Bitcoin did it last year.. I have a feeling bcash will do it this year.
If BCH or bitcash reached 20000 this year then bitcoin or BTC will be around 50,000 anyway because as I see it bitcoincash will or may not yet surpass btc this year. Many things are still blocking the bitcoincash to surpass bitcoin because of antagonism it create when the fork happened.
BitcoinCash despite all the noise was unable to outwit Bitcoin at its weakest point, when very high transaction fees and congested network nearly tore Bitcoin apart, then I Don't  see it capable of doing it now that confidence in Bitcoin is back full force. We can give it to the BitcoinCash enthusiasts that all the decedents of Bitcoin will continue to enjoy the spillover of the successes of Bitcoin, end of story!
1087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency? on: March 16, 2018, 09:21:29 AM
We are indeed the tough times of trading or investment in cryptocurrency. After the ATH of Bitcoin last year, we are now at the stalemate at 10K USD mark for almost 2 weeks and no sign of going up. I was thinking to hold for as long as I can since I believe in crypto.

If you’re at the losing position what is the best thing to do?

The best thing to do is to sell your bitcoin when its price is decreasing then if its price starts to increase , buy and invest those money that you got from selling your btc.
That would be a terrible mistake to make and you would most likely end up shooting yourself in the leg, because price is always decreasing and rising. I guess you were going to say, selling at peak prices and buying back at bottom prices is one of the best trading decisions any trader can make.

However, when already in a losing position, you wouldn't want to make things worst by selling and foreclosing the chances of a recovery. At this stage, a systematic buy back, popularly known as averaging have been proven to be effective for such a situation.

If you cant afford losing, my opinion is to hold and wait for a big pump
When you're HODLing and price is down, you don't say, you're losing, rather it's price that is against you and that is exactly why you're holding onto your Bitcoin until whenever price improves to your satisfaction.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I earned $ 3500 from the 1 airdrop on: March 15, 2018, 03:42:00 PM
I participated in the first airdrop IOP (internet of people) and with 500 token iop I received 2200 hydra .. that I sold in the exchange on the discord and from which I got 450 IOP .... with a gain of over 90% doing nothing. Tonight, the second airdrop closes the second airdrop and tomorrow another part

You just got lucky. Usually airdrops are complete waste of time, our only real resource in our possession.

99% of airdrops are made with the intention their 'devs' to make quick money.
You're right 99% of airdrops are not worth the time and efforts put into them but when one stumbles  on  the remaining 1%, it is usually well worth it. I have been receiving airdrops from Bitsend (BSD) for close to a year now, it's still paying and promises to paying  till 2019.
1089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you a full time trader or just part timer? on: March 15, 2018, 01:36:13 PM
I quit my job years back, because it was getting on my way and I needed my time. Since them I have been a forex trader and now also a crypto trader and life has been much better and still promising. The impressions that being a full time trader means staying glued to one's trading platform day in, day out, is actually erroneous. Though at the earlier stage into full time trading, the tendency is to not lift the leg off the gas pedal, but experience and knowledge soon put lot of things straight. For me, these are a few of my collections for trading:

1. not every market, pairs are worth trading;

2. better entry points usually reduces risk and exposure while increasing profitability;

3. some days, the market can have a different mind of its own;

4. you can never have it all, regardless how hard you work;

5. there will always be other profitable opportunities;

6. live to fight another day,

7. the safest trade often times, is not to place any trade at all, till further notice.
1090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: March 15, 2018, 12:23:43 PM
You can't have one trading strategy fit every market scenario. Cryptocurrency market is highly amateur where Market makers are only earning profit screwing the small investors. Coins tend to divert from chart analysis.
Couldn't agree more, market condition is continually changing, making it impossible for anyone strategy to fit the different market conditions that may ensue. However we see many traders especially newbies struggling with that, because most of them are simply unwilling to learn or yet to find a need for it.

Bots are doing the major trading. Thus, I always prefer short term trading with diversified portfolio along with having set stop losses and profit percentage. Never let your emotions drive your trading. Have percentages in mind and close your trades accordingly.
Yes trading are these days automatic, especially by the high networth traders, who can afford to engage the services of developers and coders to produce bots that can effectively man the market 247. Because of these bots now taking center stage, we shall be seeing some whoa trading from time to time and which are some trades a human trader would have likely avoided.

1093  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading actually worth it? on: March 12, 2018, 07:18:10 AM
It depends on how big your capital is.Trading is high risk and high return gamble,so you have to decide on when you have to buy or sell.Pro trader have much information and skill to read the situation in the market,by taking advantage of that they can easily making profit.If you want to try,start by gathering many information and try to read the flow of the market.
It's obvious you're not a trader and it's not really as you said that trading is a big gamble, though it could be for some category of traders - those that see no sense or need to adequately equip themselves with sound trading knowledge and skills prior to delving into the market, because of claims by other trader.  Trading actually is not for everyone, so for the ones that're keen in making it worth while, it has to be taken as a serious business.
1094  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: March 11, 2018, 08:15:56 PM
My strategy is the simpliest one. Buy low and I will wait until the price go up and sell high but sometimes I have a goal like 5%-10% profit until I will sell it.

that is also my strategy , to buy at low price and sell at high price , sometimes I cant reach that goal , having a 5%-10% profit so I wait a long time til its price increases than usual.
It's ambiguous, if not confusing to newbies, when you say, your strategy is to buy low and sell high. In view of the prevailing volatile nature of Bitcoin, what is a low price and when can one rightly say that the price of Bitcoin is high or low? Some people are of the belief that use of some technical analysis tools can go a long way in spotting and identifying market conditions, how exactly do you guys go about yours?
1095  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard on: March 11, 2018, 02:55:19 PM
No too long ago, people with success at the back of their minds used to work hard and even harder in order to accomplish the success they crave. Time however have moved on and knowledge have also increased, so that success and accomplishments are no longer dependent on the size of one's muscles. To work hard have over the years been likened to being diligent, dedicated and long suffering, but now all that transmuted instead to working smart.

Suffice to say that one does not, anymore need hard work to make a success, though there're no doubt people, who would rather walk 20 km than catch a cab and they would even glory in the fact that they also made the distance!
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin wasn't created? on: March 11, 2018, 01:10:11 PM
If bitcoin was not created, blockchain technology would not be invented. Digital money won't exist, bounties and airdrop didn't exist also. People will use fiat money and still invest their money in the banks. Many people still suffer in poverty and unemployed individuals will increase everyday. Tokens had no value and cryptocurrency is not known by people. Bitcoin is not popular and investors won't exist in some bounties. So, life is nothing without bitcoin.
I know digital money have been in existence well ahead of Bitcoin, but Bitcoin is the undisputed pioneer of cryptocurrency. If Bitcoin was never created,  there won't have been blockchain or cryptocurrencies.

The driving for the creation of Bitcoin though was for the liberation and setting free, the captives of our sick and enslaving monetary systems. We must have to appreciate SatoshI Nakamoto for this great and might feat.
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: March 11, 2018, 12:46:58 PM
I do not know but i think at this moment many people treat BTC as kind of asset to invest like stock. but in the future, when the market is more stable, BTC will become the official currency of the world
It's indeed as you said and regardless of what picture  the Wall Street guys and professors may have painted of  Bitcoin, what's fact is that Bitcoin doubles as an asset because we're already investing in it and making handsome profits. Nonetheless, we're also able to buy and sell with Bitcoin though the scope is being hampered by instability in price.

At any rate, as the popularity and adoption of Bitcoin remains on the increase, we would likely get to that point where many more merchants would embrace Bitcoin an create the enabling environment for its price to stabilize.
1098  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard on: March 11, 2018, 07:17:22 AM
Working smart is essentially about improving productivity. Producing more with less resources and less time. And with improved productivity comes improved profits.

So yeah, without the urge to work smart, we'd still be in the stone age, grinding our bones and wearing ourselves out on hard work!

Sorry to say that, but I don't think that making yourself more productive in a quantitative way as in producing more with less counts as working smart.
No, you're actually the one in error as working smart, essentially means producing more with less input. With education and specialized training, people become able to work smarter by adoption and application of tools that increases efficiency and reduces waste of time and materials.

Quote
To me, what you say is pretty much synonymous with working harder. In fact, this is how you make your obnoxious boss more wealthy, by doing more for the same buck on the account that your productivity has risen. Why would you ever want that?
The reason there're differential in wages is because workers are classified according to the quota they contribute on the efficiency table. That is why you can never see a laborer earning more than his manager. With training and experience however, a laborer can also one day, become a manager and his earning would certainly reflect this change.
Quote
Smart work means you get a lot more in terms of money before anything else for essentially the same amount of effort. After all, isn't it what being smart is all about?
When you work smart, you would have reduced the time you put in to produce even much more, so you would be getting more for less.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble,boredom,loneliness, grief or lose on: March 10, 2018, 09:31:14 PM
I guess it's not just me that way but almost all the gamblers do it. Gambling when bored and to eliminate boredom, and sometimes stop because of boredom as well. Definitely not all gamblers like that, but mostly like that. sometimes stress disappears after gambling.

And sometimes they forget their stress since other things their thinking, may it be the amount they lose or whether they will enjoy their winnings or bet in again on gambling.  Grin Been in such situation before and it really stresses me that time. Cheesy

It had been proven that gambling can remove stress, boredom and grief since, it is automatic that when our minds is occupied, we forget things that happen around us.  If we are sad or in grief, being occupied with something is a bliss.  That way we can escape those moments of sadness.  Same goes with boredom and worry.  And gambling do this best.
You would be a robot to think you could remain sane with such distractions on your head and mind. Those temporary relieves are hardly worth the boarder because they are relegated only to the background, ready to bounce back and even more daunting when the game is up. Soundness of mind is inevitable to be able to flow along with a game.

You won't be able to live off of such jobs, because they're  not secured and offers no guarantees. However, Bitcoin plays the vital role of being a leveler and on that pedestal, people can find their feet and create jobs but talks about Bitcoin capability of eliminating unemployment are unfounded.
