1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering? on: April 20, 2018, 06:29:37 PM
Between 2004 and 2010, HSBC laundered Billions of Dollars for the Mexican Drug cartels and nobody blinked an eye. After

7 years of doing this, they got busted and they paid US$1.9bn in fines. {This could be recovered in profits, within a few

weeks} Most people saw this as a slap on the wrist for the people who were involved with this. Not one person working for the

Bank got jail time for doing this.  Roll Eyes  https://observer.news/featured/5-years-ago-hsbc-fined-record-us1-9bn/

Ross Ulbricht, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for creating and running Silk Road, which allegedly facilitated

the sale of $250 million worth of drugs.

Why are we seeing such double standards, when Bitcoin is involved?

At least for HSBC, there were a proof and they were caught for this illegal transactions, because everything happened within the system. But for bitcoin it won't leave any proof, just a ledger entry in blockchain. It is pseudo anonymous in nature, hence governments are actually worried that bitcoin is the much better and cheaper option for money laundering. So it's not about double standard game played by the governments. Bitcoin has now become a favorite currency for illegal transactions like money laundering and terrorism financing. We as a common people, certainly don't want such nuisance to happen in bitcoin network because it's hard to catch.
Of course that is a case of double standard because a crime is a crime and anyone found guilty ought not to be treated with levity. It's remarkable that financial crimes like money laundering did not just start with the emergence of Bitcoin some nine years ago, but have always been there. The only reason the HSBC incident ended up with just the payment of a fine of $1.9bn and neither the bank closed or those directly involved serving some jail term is, because it's still those in authority that own shares in these banks, so it must never go down.
1002  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - a short pullback or a long-term bottom? on: April 20, 2018, 04:51:55 PM
I think it's still early to tell. according to Tone Vays we need to hang around the 8,000$ area for a week. and then see what happens, maybe after that we'll get some clear bullish signals. I am optimistic over all, but we need to be careful with times like this

He also said that we not only need to maintained $8000, but we need to test and overcome the next mental barrier that is around $8500-$8600. Currently we are still on track to hit on in the next couple of days if the trend continues.

After 5 months of heavy selling pressure, Bitcoin and altcoins have signaled to a bullish momentum pattern to buy. The recent low of roughly $6,500 comprised a 75% loss in value from last year’s highs of approximately $20,000. Currently, as with many other cryptocurrencies market, it finds as though the next move for BTC will likely be either more bullish momentum towards the 23.6% retracement area and even $10.000, or a declining pattern to retest the descending trendline that BTC recently overcame.

I believe that bitcoin and many blue-chips have completely bottomed out and have been confirmed both by hedge funds independently and technical analysis tools. What do you think?

Obviously we have (double) bottom at $6500 that's why we have some sort of recovery around $8+++.  So it this price is not sustainable then expect another pullback, however its seems that the bullish sentiment has started to build up so another critical week to see if the pattern will continue and sustainable and test $8++ levels.
First off, it is worth noting that prices in any financial market never continues indefinitely in any one direction, but continually reflect the net effect of the pressures of demand and supply. So for price to have made double bottom around the $6500, it's an indication that a strong support is forming at that level and a rally in view.    Should price bounce off that level again, it would likely be the ride we have been waiting for.
1003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very Important Tips on Bitcoin on: April 20, 2018, 04:21:56 PM
it does not matter how many times you advert people about it, people will make the same mistakes again and again, panic sell is my favorite, i will never understand why people sell his bitcoin at low prices, instead of waiting a little bit and recover.

Btw you forget one of the most important tips, never invest more than you are willing-able to lose....
You have to understanding that at no point in time would people everywhere reason alike. You would have noticed, while some people are desperate to go left, you still find many others pushing to go right, that's exactly what makes the world go round.

Regards why people knowingly sell their Bitcoins at low prices instead of just waiting, the answer is not far fetched. The duo of FOMO and FUD are at work in the lives of a good number of bitcoiners and it all emanates from the possessing of little or no trading knowledge and that's made worse by their refusal to learn.
1004  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin global regulation on: April 19, 2018, 11:44:53 PM
Bitcoin global regulation,it seems hard to implement because every country has a different way  and motives why they want to implement  such regulations. Another reason is the decentralization of bitcoin. Government has no full control in bitcoin or cryptocurrency and other countries still not adopt the crypto world.
The truth need be told, global regulation of Bitcoin is not practicable because of the decentralized nature of Bitcoin and based on the fact that most governments would prefer to tailor their regulatory stances to reflect their countries  perspective, Moreover the infrastructure that would call for is neither here no their because of inequalities across the globe
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOS Token (IOST) Ready to boom the market on: April 19, 2018, 11:02:19 PM
Great coin already listed in top volume exchanges like binance , kucoin, okex I would recommend poly and also hitbtc , cryptopia and other exchanges are good still lots of coins and projects struggling to list on these small exchanges . By listing in most exchanges volume will increase . I think coss.io is also good exchange it’s also having same business model like kucoin . you can consider exchanges like coss.io in future point of view .
so those interested in
To think that IOST didn't do the usual ICO, but instead was sold off to private investors and incubators suggests that this project has a really bright future. They aren't interested in making the most money they could've.
I also think that IOS project is rearing up for greatness by their first foot forward of not setting out to grab all the monies they can come into all too soon and there must be very few projects with such ideology. It is said that there are no plans to sell the token even in the future, so those interested in get some of these tokens have to look up to the exchanges and fortunately there are a number of them.
1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Barclays considering Bitcoin trading desk. on: April 19, 2018, 09:55:47 PM
We all, the early adopters of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are fortunate and envy of the institutional traders and it's no wonder they had had to experiment with names calling and blackmail. but Bitcoin for the revolution, which time has come it represents, has refused to bulge.  Seeing Bitcoin still standing and waxing even stronger have finally called their bluff and we have started seeing them coming one after the other but before long it would be in droves  and that's the time of mass adopter, we have been hoping for, we're inching closer every day and unless give up, we would get there.
1007  Economy / Gambling / Re: Diceum.com | Faucet | Invest | Affiliates | 10+ currencies on: April 19, 2018, 08:36:29 PM
There is just too many red flags here.

For one like the above poster suspected they are faking their stats. Which is very unethical.

Secondly it's a brand new account on Bitcointalk without any trust.

Third when asked to provide proof of funds the question was ignored.

These sites pop up from time to time. They are either legitamite but due to lack of sufficient bankroll they run out of BTC after some whale cleans them out or they are just scams from the very beginning. They pay certain people who make small withdraws but if someone sends over a large amount like > BTC the site will go out of business. Rebrand and reopen again.
If those questions or request havent been answered or being neglected then its already a shady part of them which i wont really easily entrust to make deposits.Faking stats is very unethical, brand new account- might be considerable but most of the time its untrusted and the last is bankroll which for a gambler these questions are common and should be answered do removed the doubts of people towards the site.

Talking on the design, its way too generic and i dont think so that they are the ones who able to make that slider? I have seen lots already.
If and after the concerns raised above have been satisfactorily addressed, OP  shall have to revisit the 0.5% withdrawal fee, because that makes the site less attractive than the already established ones it intends to compete with. I sincerely think that every entrepreneur should know to bring in some innovations, to stand any chance of disrupting a market. YOLOdice is an example, it's about a year, doing good and coming up real strong, don't think it's a crime to look in and learn how it's done right.
1008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Massive loss 40% underwater on: April 19, 2018, 07:47:05 PM
You suffered initially from FOMO (fear of missing out) and bought too high
And then suffered from FUD (fear, uncertainty and diubt) and sold too low.

I would also recommend if you have the stomach for it to get in again with
coins in the top 10 of coin market cap and look to the long term.

If you cant trade, dont
It's obvious OP suffered from FOMO and then FUD as a result of his lacking of sound trading knowledge and experience, so urging him to brace himself up for yet another bout, bodes him no good. What to recommend to him, is to do the needful, which is to learn first, so to be able to earn later and going forward.

Most experienced trader knew as at December that the market was highly overbought and a reversal was most likely, so they knew better to sell then or hedge their open positions than to buy. Also the market have been oversold in recent times, as such, selling your coins anymore can no longer be a wise decision, instead we keep buying some more. That's the kind of edge a trader comes into for having the right trading knowledge and experience.
1009  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken Exchange is Removing Services From Japan on: April 19, 2018, 03:35:40 PM
While Kraken claims that its decision to shut down service to the Japanese clients is informed by increasing costs and resources for maintaining the service, I think that might not be all as the article also has it that Kraken have not registered with FSA and this move is coming at this time when FSA is gearing up to  look into the books of exchanges operating in Japan.

I know that the inordinate withdrawal fees among others which exchanges have been forcing down the. throat of their clients is enough to keep them smiling to  their bank, so that excuse lacks merit.
1010  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is IDEX a safe exchange to use. They have an option that asks for private keys. on: April 19, 2018, 02:37:49 PM
I was searching about IDEX and found this thread , Hmmm most of the people posted here do not know how decentralized exchange is working !

Simply never import your own private keys of your main wallet , just make a new disposable wallet and only transfer money ETH or tokens to it When/If need to make trade . It is the same thing with every decentralized exchange ( Etherdelta , IDEX ... ect )
Put in another way, to have to use decentralized exchanges, we"re going to have to divulge our private keys and as such it ceases to be private. That's highly undesirable and maybe in the future it's going to be improved upon, so for anyone interested in using this exchange, best option is as suggested above or continue with centralized exchanges.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is buying new listed coin profitable? on: April 19, 2018, 09:22:08 AM
Good Day guys, just searching for an alternative way to invest my money to,
so the question is, is buying new listed token(token that just ended ICO) to an exchange profitable? do many of you do that? would you recommend doing that? or should I buy on their ICOs?

You need to look at the coin first before doing so, if the good has a good potential then buying in their Ico is profitable since they are giving up to 50% bonus to early birds especially if that Ico has a presale, you are not sure that the price on exchange will be lower than the ico price some of the bounty hunters prefer to keep their coin for maximum gain.
Understanding the underlying fundamentals of what token you would be committing your hard earned coins, as with any investment, is highly necessary and deserves all the attention to details, because therein lies the rudiments to attract demand for the token and possibility for subsequent rise in price.

Given that a token is indeed promising and backed by the general knowledge that there's a strong possibility of drop in price, below ICO price as a result of sell off by some bounty hunters, a savvy, long term investor would like to reduce his exposure by buying like 60% of his holding during pre-sale and be on the look out for nice entry points after listing for the remain 40%.

1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your altcoin on: April 19, 2018, 07:35:46 AM
What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?

I have program name is folder lock (It is currently only available on windows), and then i paste all data need to be hidden with strong password, don't upload it to cloud of everywhere on internet
Suffice to say that a separate PC without any connection to the internet will be necessary here and could be a bargain for hardware wallets when running low on budget. That said, matters of security are never effectively resolved with just one or two measures, but a seamless combination of a whole lot of them. As for phishing emails, it's best to be wary of unsolicited emails and anyone deep into fauceting, should never settle for free anti virus and malware software.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I buy or sell, I'm always not satisfied !? Maybe it's good or not?) on: April 19, 2018, 07:07:10 AM
My main problem is when I do not know when it is good time for me to buy or sell. When the price drops, I do not want to buy because I am afraid it will drop to a even lower price. And when the price goes up, I do not want to sell because I am afraid the price will go up even higher later, then I will not make enough profit.
There is a saying that a problem known is half solved but I sense you're yet to spotlight the main reason you're yet to get your head around when it's probably a good time to buy or sell your coins. Bottom line is, you don't go to work leaving the tools to enable you work effectively at home or throw them into the trash. Trading is an art that is knowledge based and its acquisition is inevitable for success.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I buy or sell, I'm always not satisfied !? Maybe it's good or not?) on: April 17, 2018, 09:31:07 PM
I think it's not a big problem Smiley). If you're satisfied with what you have, I think it's really bad. If you're satisfied with everything you have, you'll not do anything to earn money anymore, you'll stop learning, stop exploring to get more knowledge about trading or anything else in this crypto world. Don't worry about it cause I think there are a lot of people is also the same like you.
I think you're taking it out of context. OP was hinting at the impulsive nature of his trading, which obviously is a source for concern as such moves are not backed by studies and researches, so it's problem no doubt. Money making through any venture, requires a systematic approach, other than that, the work hardly get done. I guess you shall be needing to discipline yourself a little bit, so you can ward off over trading and the attendant fatigue and lose of money that goes with it.

I used to know of one great mistake in the cryptomarket and it was that I dilly-dallied for way too long, when I would have gotten Bitcoins at giveaway rates!
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is your favorite altcoin? on: April 17, 2018, 04:47:42 PM
Tell me why

I dont have a favorite altcoins all of them i like as long as there project is good and can help me in the future. There are so many tokens out there that only a shitcoins and after a few weeks only it dump and wont survive anymore and dev dump too.
Soon enough this thread would become name calling of all known altcoins, because there is sure to an altcoin for everyone interested in altcoins and that includes shitcoins. At the end of the day, what to call a favorite altcoin comes down to being subjective. For me, all those altcoins that attempt to fill a clearly defined need, with some remarkable technologies, great team and persuasive marketing, makes my bunch of favorite altcoins yet, I refuse to be emotionally attached to anyone of them.
1016  Economy / Services / Re: Earn 4 740% in BTC on crypto arbitrage! Cutting edge crypto arbitrage service! on: April 17, 2018, 05:55:55 AM
@michkima
Hi! Unfortunately, we don't provide free trials because of resellers. If we do so, then we will give away all available liquidity for free, but not for our existing customers. You can't buy or sell a coin endlessly because order books are limited!

I reduced price for only 0.01 a month for first three bitcointalk members - hurry up, this is the best opportunity to ensure, that our service is the best one!
So in front of my eyes I have an example of earning 475% of our robot from 2018-04-05 from 0.2 BTC, started at kucoin, at only Ethereum tokens.

Results may not vary too much because all data is calculated, including coin availability at exchanges (not delisted or offline), both real prices at order book etc.

The point is in strong realtime calculation. You should use signals within 10-20 minutes after generation with BTC volume provided by our system.
Also you may just search for exchange opportunities right in your user interface.

So let's try and I'm sure you will be satisfied: https://coinmover.pro/?specialoffer3

We calculate everything: http://prntscr.com/j68ujg
Please review the site ("Calculate profit" button)
This bird would not be able to fly if there's no way to ascertain it's not just another jamboree. You should think in the line of granting few days trail for couple of high ranking members here so they would in turn furnish the community with their unalloyed reviews, especially as many claims for arbitrage opportunities have turned out a waste of precious time. A good product that plays down on marketing often end up gathering dust on the shelf!

1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Buy? on: April 13, 2018, 11:49:53 PM
This is the right time to buy some coins as the prices have come down, there is potential for the hike in the price in the next months time, so it is the right time to invest on the crypto currency. Some get scared and sell the coins because of the prices getting bottom, there is no need for the panic when the market dips as it is quite common in every financial markets for bump and dump in the markets. But it is clear from the history of crypto coins that every year the value increases so within two to three months time the prices will recover with a huge hike in the market.
Have already started rising. There's no point in selling coins. The market is already green. Many coins are already beginning to please their owners. Now it is really better to hold on to horses and soon you will see results.
That's something that is as good as happening, what one cannot say is, when exactly the next major rally would take place, but it usual start in likewise manner. So until then, buying more Bitcoin every time an opportunity shows up, is something to remind any serious trader, especially when the price is still relatively low.
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: thinking quiting after lose on gambling. on: April 13, 2018, 11:31:27 PM
In my opinion, these are the best steps to quit gambling, especially after a great loss:

1- Accept the truth (What's happening to you) , and just deal with it:
When you lose a lot of money then you must accept this loss, and overcome it, without  blaming yourself or something else, because that does not change anything.
Then, you must deal with,  by compensating the loss, you can even start a new business field.

2- Control yourself:
The most essential thing is how to control yourself in difficult situations, and it will be through controlling your feelings or internal conflict, Such as, the greed and false hope.
These are was adviseable those gamblers do not stop gambling even how many losses they have, accepting the reality if you are getting lose do not chase your lose in gambling or else it may turn you nothing if you let gamblings control you besides you are the one who controlled gambling. It is easy to leave if you think that you not lucky enough in gambling or you always get a loss on it.

leaving a gamble is not so easy, the easy thing is to rest or pause for a moment. You have to control yourself very well if you want to leave the gamble forever, if it just stops for a day or two, it's not a difficult thing to do. Gambling should be in control, not you controlled by gambling.
That is exactly how it ought to be, pausing and going for a walk to take the pressure off. I have heard it said time and again, that the longer one stays playing same games, the more likely the system catches up with the next move by the player. There should be a time to let go or retreat, so one can still fight again tomorrow!
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price recovering slowly on: April 13, 2018, 10:45:56 PM
This year will be difficult. Because there are eos, too many people are optimistic about the project, whether or not it can be successful, but the popularity can be equalized with the ether. So it depends on whether the two of them can decide the outcome this year. This time, they can know who has a better future.
I don't think difficulty is the right word there because having a number of very formidable coins can only increase the competition and which would likely culminate in less of those wild volatility and that would indeed led to much better trading  experiences and profitability. What coin to be the best would always remain subjective.
