1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $8000+ is here. This rise has left behind lots of wounded... on: November 21, 2017, 05:27:15 AM
Bitcoin Price Will reach 1BTC=$10,000 by the end of the year!
I guess it will be close to 30-31 of december as a gift for the New Year but after big dump appear to collect our money  Grin Wink
$10,000 per Bitcoin before December 31st is going to be such a wonderful end of year gift to behold! That would ultimately mark 2017, a very eventful year in the history of Bitcoin. To all those who believed in the vision of Bitcoin and kept faith, here's saying congratulations, enjoy your well deserved windfall and for those naysayers, it's a pity, take heart! Nevertheless, with Bitcoin, it is never really too late to join the ride and 2018 is promising even more!
1362  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the anti government on: November 20, 2017, 07:36:33 PM
Being decentralized and not controlled by government doesn't means that we are anti government. We are just enjoying the freedom of earning income solely for ourselves, without thinking that the salary for the overtime work just goes to the pocket of some bad officials. But it is just fine if the taxes that we pay is really for the development of the economy of a country.
It's my take too that decentralization does not translate to anti government, but people over the ages have been disappointed and frustrated by centralized ways of doing things and because that favors the governments, they let them hang in and the people had no other choice. The advent of Bitcoin however speaks volume of what people truly want and any responsible and progressive minded government should respect that if it's as they claim that they're there to protect the interests of the people.
1363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be worth $100k in under 5 years, and eventually over 375k on: November 20, 2017, 06:41:40 PM
Here's my question. Ok, if Bitcoin reaches $100,000 then what would happen to the altcoins? Will they reach crazy valuations as well, or do we see them left by and eating Bitcoin's dust?

Altcoin's price does not depend on Bitcoin's price. As you can see on the exchanges prices are changing in dollars or in your fiat currency. Bitcoin might reach millions of dollars but it doesn't mean that alt coin will experience the same because the price of crypto currency depends on  it's demands and if your alt coin don't have much demand then it is worthless.
That's not exactly correct because the prices of all altcoins are a certain ratio of that of Bitcoin and there are robots minding all that across exchanges. If the discrepancies in rates are left unattended, the resulting arbitrage opportunities could be quite enormous, meaning  that a rising tide gets to raise all boats though it would be more pronounced with certain boats.
1364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Still Go Up? on: November 20, 2017, 05:56:38 PM
Now that it's been proven there are many other alternatives to Bitcoin which have advantages such as quicker transactions, smaller fees, and higher mining profitability, I don't see a reason to think Bitcoin will get to $10,000.

Will the price of Bitcoin still go up? It seems so outdated when compared to its competitors.
Where are the alternatives to Bitcoin you're talking about? If you ask me, I only see the appendages of Bitcoin and of a fact, all those coins are still in existence today, because Bitcoin is their lifeline without which the support most coins enjoy would have been long gone! As for the price of Bitcoin not soaring past $10,000, let see what could stop it, if the combination of China, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and Segwit2x failed miserably.
1365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin soars $8000, Is this is the best opportunity to sell BTC? on: November 20, 2017, 03:10:56 PM
Bitcoin soars $8000, Is this is the best opportunity to sell BTC?

If you are just trying to be safe what I would suggest you to do is to identify first the source of your coin if you bought your coin using your fiat what you can do is sell part of your inventory that is equivalent to your initial investment and keep the profit that you have in bitcoin. By doing this you still have a chance to earn more at the same time you are already safe in case the price dropped.
Not a bad idea especially for a newbie, who probably could not have accumulated much and have living expenses to run. However for anyone that can afford to hodl their coins, at least till end of 1st quarter of 2018, by all means do! The roads seem clearer now than ever before for Bitcoin to make the lunar leap and that won't be long time coming.

1367  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tomorrow is my last day on this Earth on: November 20, 2017, 12:24:57 PM
I don't have any donation, even not 1 cent Sad

I don't know how to do with people to ask donation
I am glad you didn't have to follow up that devilish urge! Now what you really need is not even the donations, but a fundamental change in values and outlook. You should be able to tell yourself that even $1M is still a small amount of money compared to your life, because there are humans making billions and you're a human. You have made money before and so more is possible even without resorting to gambling, because that is not a right place to go for money making. Whatever happens to us in life is inconsequential, because the last chapter of our lives are not written yet and can only be written by ourselves.
1368  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10k By March 2018 on: November 20, 2017, 10:14:40 AM
Today price of bitcoin already reach 8k dollars and I think it will increase more. 10k dollars in march 2018 is very possible to happen.
4 months for Bitcoin to make a move of 25% is so much time! In the times that lots of obstacles stood in the way, Bitcoin was well able to take the roof off and now that the way is apparently without hitches, we're simply in for a nice cruise! I see this time as the last chance for early adopters to gather as much Bitcoin as possible before the money bags, who have been looking on voraciously are let in.
1369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Derivatives like futures will be great for bitcoin, before they destroy it on: November 20, 2017, 07:03:39 AM
What makes bitcoin so much better than all other alt coins that it warrants a 100+ billion market cap? Why can’t I just create a new coin any one I want, that has all the good qualities that make bitcoin useful?

Belief. Belief (on a collective, mass scale) is what separates one thing of value from another similar thing that has less or none of that same value.

What separates Gold's value from that of "fools gold"? Belief, further reinforced by it's attributes. That eventually becomes a self-reinforcing feedback loop that grows to a mass scale. That's it.

How did Gold get it's value as money and store of value in the first place? The first 100 people that started using Gold as a barter/money first believed in it, when no one else around them did. And then the discovery of Gold's attributes further validated that belief. And then the belief spread to 1000, then 10,000, then 100,000 people. Then around the world.

Belief is not what gives value to gold or anything else. Gold has value because of its intrinsic properties and rarity. It is useful for making jewelry, among other purposes in different industries. Fool’s gold does not have this value and it is far more common.
Can you really hear yourself, your rhetoric? Same set of jewelry can as well come from copper, Aluminium, platinum and gold, it is the people's belief that set the prices. That is why companies spend tirelessly on advertisement - to put their products everywhere for people to see and accept.
Quote

This feedback loop that you described is 100% real in many assets, including bitcoin. You are spot on in your description of how it works, but you failed to mention that if price is driven up simply by demand (or “belief”) and not by intrinsic value, then that is how bubbles form (and eventually, inevitably pop).
If you're looking for intrinsic values, but can't find them in this much Torque had put before you, then stop bothering, you will never recognize one even when it's right in front of you.

That's not the only thing that gives Bitcoin its value. Its potential as a deflationary store of value is another. Doesn't have to be completely stable for that function to work either, look at Gold and Silver. Look at real estate, collectables, art, etc. Also, Bitcoin is decentralized, permissionless, trustless, borderless, censorship-resistant, no-middleman transactions, etc. the list of other attributes that give it value goes on and on.
All the attributes highlighted above are what makes Bitcoin thick and because we have not had any other financial asset that offers even half as much, Bitcoin will know no upper bound.

The introduction of Futures contracts will plummet the price of Bitcoin? Yes.

Most hodlers are going to become rich?  Quite obvious.

A crash would likely follow? That would be nice, another excellent opportunity to start a profitable venture again after maximizing and taking profit from the former. I can't wait!
1370  Economy / Services / Re: BITCOIN TALK DISCUSSION TELEGRAM GROUP on: November 19, 2017, 07:55:35 PM
Hi mate, first welcome to bitcointalk forum.

For making new group chat is good but why need to make new one? Because this forum is good enough to create conversation and ask and answer quetions here no need to worry because everything you can ask here as long as you do not ask for scam or any fouling questions that can harm both party.
Yes, I know that the forum is the best place to discuss things but some members here don't get answered and some have to do things with some trusted users so at this group you can make trusted friends even if they are at a low rank here but they could have tremendous capability in them but just joined the forum. So this people can provide there services there.

And thank for a welcome Grin
There's absolutely nothing the matter with creating and following any group, however if the texts in bold are your drive, I sincerely think you may want to reconsider throwing your doors wide open to strangers. Take another look, all those hailing your gesture are mostly newbies, do you think that's coincidence? There are different sections here for all manners of discussion and the entire community can access them and air their view. Wanting anything less, is no less a red flag!
1371  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BEWARE!] - This Bitcoin Trading Platform just stole $49,000 from me! (PROOF) on: November 19, 2017, 06:50:29 PM
Also, a trading platform that ban Scalping in 2017 is just a Fuck'n scam!

I'm a scalper since 1999, when i trade tick by tick on stck using my old 64k internet connection! (yes, 64 kb internet connection...  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked )

Another update from them after sending 10 more emails with information and screenshots.  Apparently they have the right to steal all your money if you simply trade too much.  This, of course, is not defined anywhere on the site or in the terms of use.  There is no given limit to the trading you can do or warnings if you are opening too many trades.  They simply let you go on trading so that if you lose all your money naturally they don't have to worry about it.

It's literally just a way for them to steal all your money and claim they have a right not to pay you when you earn on their site!

Hi Braden,

I fully understand how this can be frustrating. The system has built-in risk management to prevent abusive trading and automatically lock accounts that engage in abuse. Abusive trading can either be:

- high frequency trading or scalping
- front-running (access to a faster price feed than Whaleclub's and placing trades based on that)
- UI scripting

These measures are put in place to protect the platform and its users from abuse.
This thread got me looking around and it does appear this is not just a lone voice crying fowl! One can see that the so called "abusive trading" became an issue only after op ended up winning some handsome amount. If it had ended otherwise, in a loss as in most cases, would they've said same and returned his losses? I think traders should not overlook or downplay this, because any trader patronizing them can end up the next victim.

Sorry about your loss Bradynapier, but it's a huge amount, so don't take it smiling, keep fighting them with all you got and let the authorities into it.
1372  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10k By March 2018 on: November 19, 2017, 02:39:02 PM
If you read how things and adoptions are going for, there is a fairly amount of demand, and a push for $10k by holders.

Do you agree?

I doubt it'll happen in March 2018.

I honestly think that it is much more likely it's going to be much sooner than that. It's only a 30% or so gain, which is almost nothing in crypto terms. We've seen pumps that took BTC on way more than that kind of rise in less than 1 week.

In my opinion, the market's direction's going to take BTC to $10k by the end of the year.
Can't agree more and evidently the $8000 price level got breached 4 days later 3 days ago, coming from a low of a little over $5000 and with big news of CME adding Bitcoin futures contracts to its product offering and with Coinbase attracting roughly $10 billion of institutional investors capital, hitting the $10,000 price level is only a breeze away.

Something tells me, we, the Bitcoin enthusiasts and the early adopters are about to have the time of our lives! That is, to us who still believe.

1374  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: any feedback for "cryptolitedesk" -- been getting emails about investment - on: November 16, 2017, 07:51:17 AM
Hello Guys, i came across this review by share luck, however i wonder why you both think its a scam, i say this because i am also an investor and i'm invested with cryptolitedesk, invested a couple of bitcoin with them for over two months now and i have been getting paid my profit daily up to a sum of over $70000, i'm thinking of rolling over my investment when i'm done with this package, cryptolitedesk might not look like what we are used to but i can tell for sure it works, it works for me, i was worried about the two key factor when i was signing up, but they told me i would receive it when theres something to secure in my account, which i received after my investment was logged in...... would have dropped my email but i dont think its follows the rules of this forum. so comment id be watching this space more now
You'll be pleasantly surprised that in this forum, we have very minuscule number of gullible and desperate people, who might not be able to see through your mischief by signing up here just to grandstand and make bogus claims. You didn't earn $70,000 from that site and at the end of the day, you could be the scammer that owns the site!
1375  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-14] Bitcoin is a market for criminals and millennials, Dennis Gartman on: November 14, 2017, 09:10:00 AM
It's just another grown up baby sulking for having missed the Bitcoin bus and bytheway, it's inconsequential - most guys from Wall Street cannot see what's on the other side of the wall, because the walls won't let them, which is precisely what he tried expressing by the statement:

Monday marked yet another instance of Gartman trashing the cryptocurrency. In August, he told "Fast Money" that he "didn't understand it to begin with, don't understand it now."

1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All Legenday/Hero members should support Bitoin Cash! on: November 14, 2017, 07:15:09 AM
Supporting bitcoin cash is not a matter of being legendery or an hero but it is just a matter of choice. There was no time it was for comfortable to buy bitcoin. The people that want to invest in bitcoin can buy any fraction he or she can afford.
The point he was trying to make was that as a Hero member, he's obviously seasoned enough to make an informed decision on issues pertaining to Bitcoin unlike outright newbies, who're often quite impressionable.

All said, seeing through the economic pursuit of the proponents of Bitcoin cash as their only motto and not a care in the world about security and sustainability of the Bitcoin brand. More profit, that's why majority of the NYA signatories were businesses, but thank goodness most of them were able to see the light and retraced their steps. Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and Segwit2x are one and same camp, different fronting to try to take the wind out of the sail of Bitcoin, but they're all spent now.

1378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: November 12, 2017, 11:30:46 AM
In my opinion, I suggest you better to read the news Bitcoin or what other crypto should you need to place. Know their forecast before placing your funds and learn from your friends or advisers who already know the investments. You may also check in youtube about the basics or need-to-know when trading Bitcoin. I assure you that this is gonna be fun and exciting about this kind of investment.
Yes, You need to do proper research before investing into any crypto currency but research for bitcoin is useless because we all know that bitcoin is on the peak and people are getting rich with it day by day. Infect those how ignored this coin few years ago are in deep regrets because they would have been millionaires by now. But do good research if you are investing into some altcoin.
yeah, you're right, and it will make you get a big profit, even if you invest a small amount. nothing beats the importance of information. because a search like that, will save you from big losses.
Knowledge is priceless in every endeavor of life. In the crypto-market, news sets the pace of whatever price a coin ends up with, so a must for any trader/investor, is to always keep tabs on the goings-on in the ecosystem and the coins they're dealing with just like what we just saw of Bitcoin and almost all the altcoins in the face of Segwit2x. We can appreciate that even the more, given the reversal of roles - Bitcoin shielding some weight and most altcoins start to appreciate after the announcement of the suspension.
1379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when the market is full of red on: November 12, 2017, 09:06:13 AM
All reds in crypto markets is a blessing since you can buy coins at a discounted price and can sell for a higher profit in a short amount of time. If a market is proven to bounce back after several beatings, it would be unwise to sell at a loss. Patience is a special trait that one must possess in trading cryptos.
I prefer to see it this way instead, "most stable coins in red" is a blessing since it's an invitation to buy a confirmed earner at a discounted price. That's exactly what Warren Buffet recommends to traders/investors, "Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy only when others are fearful." Most guys from Wall Street are whimpering and day dreaming of the day, especially Bitcoin would go deep down in red, guess why?
1380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips on: November 11, 2017, 07:16:09 PM
ProTip:
Don't stick to one coin.
Also don't be jack of all coins and master of none. The fewer the coins you're having to deal with and concentrate on, the more in-depth and well rounded you become with those coins and that's besides not overworking and wearing yourself out.

Quote
Know everything about the coin you are trading.
Same as above, the fewer the better!

Quote
Check for upcoming events of that coin.
Fundamentals are kings - they drive the market, miss it, miss out!
Quote
Always buy at lowest point of the coin.
Here's where technical  analysis comes in, don't let inexperienced traders, tell you otherwise. You need to know when a price can be said to be low and when it can be said to be high, because same price can be both at different instances. Here's something I did this evening, could give you some clues:
