961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long Crypto currency will survive? on: May 03, 2018, 10:30:07 PM
Crypto will not die because it is a useful technology. It combine many ideas with secure and fast approach for investing, paying, trading, exchanging
You actually said my mind and instead of much ado about nothing, OP  should channel the precious time he has got into making the most out of this breakthrough especially now as we are privileged to be the early adopters, before long, we would be entering the mass adoption stage and things might no longer be as easy.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Dying Myth of long term holds??? on: May 03, 2018, 10:14:09 PM
For me, many people are still applying this kind of technique in order to earn money from their investments. It is not dying, maybe some of the people prefers to sell their coins right away without holding it but it is up to them, selling your coins right away while the market is red is not a good idea, but waiting for it to turn green then selling it is much better.
Yes there are people, like merchants who prefer to sell their coins right away in order to preserve their values at time of sale, but there also people, who originally set to Hodl, but on the onset of one bad news or the other, FUD gets the better of them, leading to panic selling even against their original wish. It takes having a very high risk appetite to get away with Hodling and obviously not everyone can boast of having one.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Crying about Crypto! on: May 03, 2018, 09:51:48 PM
What is the famous saying....."If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen."

There are so many people crying about the recent of BTC that I'm frankly getting annoyed. You should know the risk involved in investing in crypto. If not, don't even waste your money. Go buy a CD that won't make more than the rate of inflation. Remember investing is literally legalized gambling. Treat it as such or don't even jump in the pool.
Well crypto world is not for the faint hearted. Only the brave and the strong can survive difficult times and the weak to fail.
I suppose it's obvious this has little or nothing to do with physical strength, so would rather say, only the knowledgeable and experienced, stands a better chance of surviving the ups and downs of an evolving and very speculative market as this. At the end of the day, trading cannot be everybody's thing, so a right foot forward would be to ascertain if one is already passionate about cryptocurrency trading or if it's all about the stories of other people hitting gold!
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain has grabbed the attention of investors on: May 03, 2018, 09:27:38 PM
as it says, Blockchain's transparency, tamper-proof record and decentralized nature make the cryptocurrency vehicle more secure than any repository under the control of one entity. Blockchain can be used to secure everything from financial transactions to voting and medical records. these are defenately true man. Hopw all the investor become interested in it
Those are of course huge selling points for blockchain and they bring on reassurance to entrepreneurs and investors across the global because it's unprecedented in the financial industry to come across any system offering even half as much in transparency and security and it's no wonder a whole lot of businesses and innovations have been springing up around blockchain ever since.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH very cheap now? on: May 03, 2018, 09:05:43 PM
buying eth under 1000 dollars is very less price seeing at the future of eth we are privilage members we can get eth at below 1000 dollars
Given that we're still far away from the $1300 ATH of ETH last year, one can appreciate your point that ETH is still relatively cheap and as such, still a very good buy especially for anyone willing to Hodl for a long term. To the best of my knowledge, the only thing capable of standing in the way of ETH would be the death of cryptocurrency but since that is most unlikely, we shall continue to see appreciation in price because of the demand base it already caved out for itself.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin destroy the world? on: May 03, 2018, 08:35:47 PM
That's like saying will a bunch of digital currency cause a planet of 7.5billion inhabitants to dissipate? You might as well have asked if cryptocurrecy would be the death of Kim Jung Un. There's no relationship with bitcoin and the destruction of world .
I think he was actually looking at the picture of the mining of Bitcoin placing very huge demand on the use of fossil oil and that can rightly be said to pose some threat, but it is without a double not a significant threat to the earth and the availability of renewable alternative energy further reduces whatever burden there would have been.

If anyone is interested in knowing what financial system that's actually killing the earth, one only need to look at the ozone layer depletion caused by deforestation and falling of trees, which is still a major raw material for making paper (fiat) money - perhaps blessing us with floods and droughts, pollution, loss of soil fertility, spread of deserts, etc.
967  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the basis of bitcoin? on: May 03, 2018, 08:48:31 AM
Bitcoin is always increasing and decreasing, and all can benefit from both the down and up side, and that's the basis I feel from the users and the influence of good and bad news.
Too sensitive with bad news, *8
Bitcoin is too dangerous for beginners.
I began to see a lot of people who were prestigious with this situation, and started to panic.
this will worsen the market.
a difficult situation to endure.
I was going to think you would know better than spreading falsehood and scaring newbies at the end of the day. Bitcoin is not anything dangerous, rather delving into it as with any other sphere without good understanding of what it's all about and what to expect, is what defines dangerous. Can you also say a car is dangerous or is it the driving without experience and licence?

As for OP main concern, Bitcoin is the first approach to sanitize our comatose monetary system by bringing safety, trust and cost less to play. Those are exquisite qualities people have been looking for over the years and the recognition that Bitcoin is an answer is the reason the demand for Bitcoin will continue to soar and recover after every attempts to clip its wings or to take the wind out of its sails.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin destroy the world? on: May 03, 2018, 08:00:05 AM
Mankind can product the energy not only from oil. There are wind energy, sun energy. Soon people will switch to this types of energy product.
That is something OP failed to realized - this is the 21st century and oil no longer is an indispensable source for energy. I wish he had shared some links of where those figures he had used came from, because they're too bogus to be taken serious by any sound mind, except of course, haters of Bitcoin.

That line on power consumption being more than total energy consumption in Nigeria, a country of about 186 million people is laughable, because major of that population do not have access to electricity and even those that do, have epileptic supply the year round.

OP are you mining with these yourself and what exactly do you mean be,"Rdp's you can get daily: 80-100" ? Would that be additional vpses every other day?
970  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week in BTC & Tokens! on: April 30, 2018, 12:10:37 PM

More reason we the early adopters of the blockchain technology ought to keep speaking out of what exquisite attributes lies therein and when we are financially buoyant, we lay credence to the claims by joining other investors in putting our money where our mouth is. The blockchain technology is a disruptive technology that's already changing how we used to live and it can only get better, because it's a force whose time have come.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH very cheap now? on: April 27, 2018, 10:34:32 PM
Nope. Do you remember where ETH was a few months ago? Selling pressure now that's on a downward spiral could potentially make it really hard to have ethereum recover. Don't forget, ethereum was selling for 10 times less not too long ago so now that people see the price falling many are cashing out in large quantities.
I think the selling pressure was not merely on Ether, but actually cut across board in the financial market. However, ETH is no less formidable today than it used to be and the vast smart contracts built around it portends huge demand for it, so it's safe to reach the conclusion that ETH cannot be held down for much too long.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is MYETHERWALLET safe now.? on: April 27, 2018, 10:15:40 PM
MEW said yes, it is safe as long as you are visiting the correct site (see post on twitter).
I suggest you to type the URL manually plus don't forget to check the ssl in the URL bar, you should see the green MyEtherWallet Inc [US] in there.

Typing might lead to typo error which may turn out one of the phishing sites, so I think it's best to a folder to bookmark vital links like above and finally check the SSL in the URL bar. Whenever withdrawing, ensure to confirm the address couple of times before finally approving the transaction.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Crying about Crypto! on: April 27, 2018, 10:04:52 PM
There are two kind of people. The first one is crying about situation on market, because all their money in cryptocurrencies. And another part is buying everything with large discount. The question is who are you.
Obviously the dividing line among these set of traders, is in the knowledge and experience one trader possess, which the other apparently does not have yet. As the saying goes, knowledge demystifies and so anyone that longs to be one of those buying everything with large discount, now knows where they drifted and  what foot to put forward.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Dying Myth of long term holds??? on: April 27, 2018, 09:51:12 PM
The myth has always being that long term holdings is better than short term/daily trading.
Thinking about it; with the current atmosphere around cryptos, is the future really guaranteed to be banking on long term holds or is it all a gamble.
Some day traders make very good profits nevertheless, which makes me wonder if this myth still applies.

Please share your views

Long term holds can yield big gains but it depends on when and how long the hold is. For example, someone that bought a Bitcoin for $100 in 2013 would made almost 100 times that original investment in just 5 years. I remember when Etherium was around $1 in probably about 2015. Holding that would have yielded huge gains as well.
If you see those earnings as mesmerizing, what then would you say of a knowledgeable, experienced and skillful trader that had bought Bitcoin and Ether at the rates you stated above and traded for 5 years? To have to wait 5 years to me, is a blunter because much more can be accomplished in far lesser time, if one took time out to learn the ropes of trading.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SELL ALL YOUR FIAT AND LIVE 100% CRYPTO!!!! on: April 27, 2018, 09:30:12 PM
A while ago (2017) there was this Dutch family that sold all their assets for BTC and is now traveling around the world. He had around 500k USD worth of BTC and expects it will at least make 5x in the next 3 years. In the meanwhile, they are living modestly and using 20% of their cryptos to trade.

Would you dare to do the same? Sell all your FIAT for CRYPTO?

That family certainly did a risky thing and I might admit that they are very brave.
I'm not talking anything BS against crypto because I have faith in it. But selling 100% of your assets to invest in crypto is insane.
What will happen if their invest takes a negative turn? They will be in road, begging for the rest of their life. That's not a smart move at all I believe.
I doubt that was a family's decision! Must be a solo decision taken by the man of the house and it turned out he was damned lucky. Beyond that, he would have regretted ever putting his family's joy and progress on the line. That's everything gambling and it 's not something I would urge anyone to embark on with all cash at hand.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PayPal CEO said bitcoin SCAM ! on: April 27, 2018, 08:55:35 PM
I'm pretty sure the only person on this planet that is getting scammed by Bitcoin is the Paypal CEO himself.. He's missing out on so much more money due to peoples ability to send money person to person almost instantly using Bitcoin. So yea, I would probably call it a scam too if it cost me millions of dollars. Don't listen to this clown
It didn't come down as a surprise to me and I suppose same goes with every Bitcoin enthusiast as there's really nothing more to expect from the CEO of a competitor. That would be more or less like expecting a manager  at Pepsi, to sing the praises of Coca Cola!
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did you agree that for crypto to continue growing we need a large huge volume?? on: April 27, 2018, 08:32:16 PM
Did you agree that In order for cryptocurrencies to start growing again, institutional money need to enter the market making the prices soar - That may will cause an  increase in volume, making the big players re-enter the market followed by the new wave of adopters. Wink
Yes i did, Because money flow can help crypto to put more daily trade volume in the market. More volume means there will be more demand and interest to buy more and more crypto as much as they can and that will be result in big bullish trend.
I share your point of view, because more volume of trade can be interpreted as a measure of the endorsement and faith in a coin. It goes to show how liquid a coin have probably become and until a coin is liquid enough, it hold little or no attraction for institutional traders because the market could hardly fill their orders. So we can conclude that the entrance of institutional money into cryptocurreny is a welcome development, though there're set backs also.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to take part in airdrops? on: April 27, 2018, 07:45:04 PM
I've been so active in the period of new year, joined many airdrops and got some good coins and profits!
I think airdrops are a great mean to spread wealth and spread coins over the globe and gain community supporters or even make the project successfull!
Peoples usually like to get something free, so, i'm in for any airdrop, i think it's worth it!

Well if you have the time and a worthwhile project, then it would probably worth your time, but you'll also find that by joining a couple of airdrops, you would have ended up opening the gates of your social media accounts - Facebook, Twitter, etc and even your email to torrent of spams as most airdrops are simply avenues for contacts farming and nothing stops them from selling them to third parties.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I do? on: April 27, 2018, 07:08:21 PM
Sell only if you need this cash urgently. In the remaining cases you should find exit strategy (with loses, but on higher levels) or wait till break-even point.
A problem I foresee with the above suggestion, is that with some tokens, BEP may remain an illusion and if OP can apply and ascertain that price have dropped well below the 61% Fibonacci level, say up to the 74% level, then best bet is to cut short your losses and move on, time's money. All said and done, we can never win all and it does not matter how hard we try!
