1921  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Suitable business ideas on: September 22, 2023, 08:59:15 PM

First business idea I find great is boutique business. Clothing is one thing that is booming and have high demand. If you open a boutique, you can create your mini office within the boutique and doing your internet stuffs while still monitoring the business.

Me I no go fit put eye for this business oo . Even to run all the shop business wey you go come dey pay rent dey tire me. In fact some business dey, wey be say you no go fit pay their rent after the initial rent expire and boutique na number for that level. So me I no see boutique business as business oo, for me e no follow. If na that frozen foods now, that one make sense. In fact, any business wey be about food especially cooked food na better business if you fit manage am and give am time.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 22, 2023, 05:23:58 PM
Are you doing this intense gambling experience by betting significant amount of your bankroll? This is insane but worth it if you are a thrill seeker for entertainment.

In my case I don't, as I tend to control my emotions quite well in this respect, although when winning a big win, for example, it is inevitable to feel a rush. What happens to me when I'm losing is the opposite, I get bored and cut the session short, I stop playing instead of playing what I have left, which is what you do. Sometimes I've planned to cut the session and I've extended it a bit more to see if something would come out, but if I continue with a losing streak, in the end I close and leave.

I try significant amount but it is relative. However I don't keep going on it especially if I have recorded lose meaning I give up to reducing my stake. If I keep losing then it tells me it is time to give up on that day to try next time. I don't allow the greed to play on me because most times what gamblers do is to look at potential winning and not at possible winnings. So I do calculate my chances to a game and if I'm not getting it that way I believe it is not my lucky day at it , instead of forcing it I will let go for that day.
1923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling with Cryptocurrency on: September 22, 2023, 04:56:05 PM
I would add one more important thing, which is that you should not gamble with money for which you do not have a valid proof of origin - because I recently read a case where a user won almost $4 million with a deposit of $100k, and now the casino refuses to pay him win because he still hasn't been able to show them where the money he gambled with came from.

This is a funny to me. The casino allowed such huge bet and after the winning they realized the source of the money should be investigated? This is unfortunate and that means the casino is trying to be funny. They are asking to know the net worth of the player or what...

So I would play in a reputable casino where I know they would do all the background check they need to do and would release my winning incase I get lucky to win.
1924  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Joe Biden Ok on: September 22, 2023, 02:18:50 PM

Finally, old age can never hold a man back because if there is youthful energy in the mind then he is young even though he is old and the current president is such a person.

Old age does cause laspes in administration especially the countries image in public. Apart from laxity in policy formulation and implementation, the presence of a president in public with audacity speaks volume. We can't compare Biden's public appearance to that of Obama, triumph is also better IMO. I watched Biden today whilst giving support to Ukrainian president, (zelensky), he was looking frail to me. So in real terms, there is no youthful age in the mind that the body is already weak.
1925  Other / Off-topic / Re: Kylian mbappe vs Erling Haaland who is the future goat? on: September 22, 2023, 12:56:50 PM

Is youth a concern? Certainly not. Haaland boasts a superior track record, even in the context of the UEFA Champions League. Haaland could potentially provide a more robust performance with Manchester City than Mbappe with PSG.

I think the clubs now is a factor to compare the two world class players. Manchester city is in firing top form and I think that is also instrumental for the Norwegian striker.  Erling Haaland no doubt has all the potentials including speed, his youthful strength or his placing or positioning and likewise kylian mbappe possess all those too. Maybe we have to give both time to metamorphose into the super star comparison we want to see. Probably they could replace the duo of Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi .
1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 22, 2023, 11:39:22 AM
I recently received multiple PM on my Telegram account that offers profit sharing for placing bets on their behalf.

What is the procedure for this? Do you have to risk your own money, or will they send you money to bet on a certain game as per their instructions?

I think it is a kind of partnership where the op and they would have a percentage sharing. That is the format of scam probably and I won't even try to run a partnership of any sort with someone I don't know.

Another sign of smelling something wrong is to share the gambling account details with them. That smells like a dead rat  Grin
1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When Gamblers Fail to Read a Casino's Terms and Conditions on: September 22, 2023, 08:45:51 AM
We all know that most of us are too lazy to read the ToS on any platform. Even though the most basic thing is for a user to be able to read the ToS of the platform they use because it is very related to their gaming activities.
And what's more, the casino platform should also be able to create an FAQ section that is easily accessible to users, so that users can find out the important parts of the platform they are using.

You have already said it all in you first line of post that users are lazy to read ToS. Of course it contains FAQ already so whether creating a sperate explanation of their ToS is not the issue, the issue is lack of the reading patience because we may still not read them, all we want is get in and take a bet to expect winning and when we eventually become lucky to win then comes the problem of running around for KYC and regrets to say casinos didn't include it. I have seen some bettors who accuse casino when they want to withdraw that they newly added those ToS to stop them from withdrawing their winnings but I don't think so except the casino was already flagged for such behaviour.
1928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto betting on: September 22, 2023, 06:56:58 AM
I personally think online gambling is more addictive
I agree with you.
We get addicted to things which release happy harmones in our brain with less effort.
Online gambling is more addictive because of factor like these:
Ease of access: we can start playing with just our phone laying on bed. no need to take effort of going down stairs, driving car, etc.
Bonuses: we get a lot of bonuses on thousands of online casinos.
Availability: online casinos are available 24 hours anytime we want to play just log in to any casino with our phone.

These points are so on point on the factors that make online casinos and gambling addictive. Yes it gives that relaxed ambiance when you are on your bed and you just credit your bankroll and you hit your bet and what makes it worse is you have every game you want to hit on right there on the casino on your bed with your phone. You just would be lucky if you are winning but if not, you know you will keep crediting your account until you have lost control. That is why I think sometimes comfort is what leads to gambling addiction and discomfort is part of a remedy. In other words, if you distant your self from playing online, you are in a process to reduce your addiction.

but there are many disadvantages also of online gambling like we cannot control ourselves to gamble responsibly, our mind not trust 100% to online casinos, etc.

Like I have said, it is dangerous. I realized this myself and I have to control my pulse on soccer bet online.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 22, 2023, 05:29:53 AM
It's not right for we to pay for the fun that we're having when we're gambling using casino, for those countries that their government is taxing their profits, they should protest because it isn't right, will the government pay them compensation when they lose while gambling.
I agree with you we shouldn't pay tax when gambling using casino or better still the government should have a moderate form were as after paying the tax for winning and when we losses there should be some sort of compensation to make it on a equilibrium patterns at least with these it will be a bit fair instead of paying tax on our winnings while the government doesn't care about our loss, but on a serious note the tax payment should have only impose on the casino company and not for the gamblers were as the tax paid by the casino should have covered  for the gamblers as such giving the gamblers tax free Because there are countries that tax only there casino company instead of both casino and the gamblers.

Why can't you pay tax when you're gambling, the intention for paying tax is when you engaged doing anything that source income for you, so if you earn in making something, then you're indirectly entitled to pay tax by the virtue of law because you earn, you can agree with me that some are earning a living through gambling, aren't they making money? the request here is not on those that pay for tax while staking, but if you win, can you still pay or not, am not suggesting one should pay honestly because having such discussion on wether to pay or not is the cause for this discussion.

It will be a deservice to mandate someone who relies on luck for winning a game to pay tax from it, what about if he doesn't win, is he going to be taxed? I'm thinking tax is made out of the profit of a business and not of the losses. If this is the legal position then gamblers are not suppose to pay tax especially if in total sum of their gaming activities they are lose because companies declare their income statutorily and that is where they are taxed. Gambling is not a business and not a source of income so people gambling shouldn't be made to pay tax. But casinos must have to pay, they are business ventures that generate some percentage of money from the staking of their customers.
1930  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Joe Biden Ok on: September 21, 2023, 07:34:45 PM
I think I have noticed some slip on him lately and that could be a sign that he is not really on his best this time around, maybe old age is coming faster for him. Joe Biden is going to turn 80 years in two months time, so it is understandable if he is experiencing symptoms that comes with old age. He is the American oldest president for now and my concern is how he would contest again in 2024, I think that will tell on him and he may not be very active to run the American economy.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 21, 2023, 04:22:37 PM
The Big Win that I once got, half of which I spent on gambling again, I should have been able to use for something unexpected "like what happened in my life few months after my big win". But, everything has happened, and I have to accept that fact. Regret, of course there is. But let it be a memory and something I can tell to remember the times when I was actively playing slots and getting maxwin. Now, this must be a valuable lesson in life, not to be careless in using money to gamble if get a maxwin.

You are not the only one who has suffered this. In fact most big winners will go back playing to win more and that is the effect of greed. When you will big, there is high temptation to play with bigger stake so you can double what you have won and that is when the crash begins to come. If bettors learn to have control of their emotion then casinos will be at the losing end but that doesn't happen. Check most times casinos end up getting back the money you have won because of that greed of continuous gambling and there is tendency of increasing the stake.
1932  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Oppression of people in Western countries on: September 21, 2023, 01:00:47 PM
The West's divide and conquer or divide and rule policy is almost coming to an end with the formation of the BRICS which is gradually coming to disrupt the western power (USA and it's bloc) against the entire world. I know this will not continue forever.

It will definitely come to a stop as there are other countries with growing economy that are getting into the limelight and are gaining control over their own economy. Such countries will emanate to become the next bloc of power like the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa).

We cannot operate a One World Order where the USA will gain and maintain it's power over others divisibly. Interesting days are ahead.

This is apt. The reason for this oppression is economy and financing. I remember US will withdraw some aids from certain countries especially those of the technologically less developed if they don't support certain foreign policy like the gay rights. The domination is also felt in the nuclear power plants because that area is also very powerful for countries that want to show military strength and this is why they go after them but that subjugation is coming to an end like you said with BRICS increasing in number and with very strong countries in economic strength, military strength and population.
1933  Other / Off-topic / Re: money before Romance on: September 21, 2023, 09:30:06 AM

How do you see it, if we use the time of studying women and romance, and think of money and how to make money. ?

Are you saying there have not been men who balanced the both and are still happy?

I think it depends on our emotional capacity, if we can handle them it won't be a problem. Moreover, money sometimes doesn't depend on how much time you give to study how to get it just like women too that sometimes it doesn't depend on how much time you give to study them or attention you give that makes them to come. Sometimes they come no matter how much you chase them  Grin
1934  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasinos.com - The Best Comparison of Crypto Casinos on: September 21, 2023, 04:33:35 AM
You are welcome to the forum and we hope that you give a good comparison of crypto casinos and review that are honest and not paid for. So I like to ask these few questions.

How are we going to be sure your reviewers are not going to be biased and make wrong review maybe because of what they will gain.

You said you have team with ten years experience. So are any of them from this forum?

More concern is we have had many start up casinos lately, how do you focus on reviewing very new casinos that have just launched out for business and what is the guarantee that if users follow your positive review of new casinos, they will not lose their money?
1935  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hope $ Wisdom... on: September 20, 2023, 09:46:19 PM
Between hope and wisdom you are seeking to know which is preferred but it will not really make much meaning because they also both vary according to the cultural beliefs and that is why they would prefer to burial either the young or old.

The buttom line is there is death occurring both in young or old. If the old has wisdom he should try and share it at the earliest times so that if he dies, he won't die with all his wisdom.
1936  Economy / Economics / Re: If They Can Pay off their Debts, Why Don't They? on: September 20, 2023, 08:19:10 PM
For the developed countries, I don't think debt or no debt has any negative influence on them since they still maintain good standard of living by all the progressive indicators to show the economy is growing despite the debt. They could offset that but may not have been worried about it as they also have there reserves and their economy thriving well. But I think the reason they may not be eager to repay is when there is no pressure for them to repay so they would prefer to use the money for other needs and if they have not shown sign of bankruptcy.
1937  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Marriage a contract or a union? on: September 20, 2023, 06:24:56 PM
Well it depends on the divide you are coming from. In Africa it was initially regarded and known as a union between man and a woman called husband and wife, and to further tie the union, it extended to the inlaws who are also seen as family. In Africa, we also regard an inlaw as simblings or family. However, all these have changed. The union is tearing apart for different reasons and that is why people are now confused how to regard marriage.

The truth to your question is that people now contract a union in form of marriage because of certain reasons to survive in the system or country they find themselves. Marriage is suppose to be a union based on the intent of what it was meant for, procreation in the name of having a family but this have been changed. Change is constant and modernity keeps operating on the influence of change.
1938  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you take water intake seriously? on: September 20, 2023, 05:54:58 PM
This thread reminds me of the promise I made to consume more water but I have not been able to keep to it. I made that promise because every research on water says water is very important to the body and that means there are really lots of benefits in it. Some research say water works as remedy to certain health issues and prevent certain avoidable health challenges too.

Really, the times I keep to water therapy for a long time I don't witness incessant health complaint.

There have been recommendations to take water in the morning before eating as it could be medicinal but that seem difficult to keep. Water is very important to the system.

In my country, the government also imposes a 30% direct tax on cryptocurrencies and gambling.
I don't know how to pay taxes when I win the game by playing with cryptocurrency. And I don't play with taxable money so i not concerned about it for now.

I think paying such amount in tax for gambling winning is on the high and that will have effect on payment because many will evade the tax but if the government is serious about collecting the tax they will through the casino.
So if your government doesn't approve crypto payment, maybe it could be levied through your fiat account but if you actually want to remit your gambling winning tax, you can go to your tax office to enquire.

Update: I just got my full refund!  Shocked

I never though that I will still get my refund since I considered my BKB token long loss because of the failure of the casin. Honestly speaking, I never 100% trust that this refund is really true! I just give it a shot and got my refund.

For those who have BKB token, Just contact the email address provided on this thread. Betking is really refunding all the affected token holders.

Well if you confirm your refund it is actually a good news and hope others get theirs so that it won't be selective to build back their reputation.

They should endeavor to reach out to those who might left the forum or those who invested outside the forum. I will suggest they give longer time for this refund so that more people can be aware. Hence if they have more social media channels, they should keep bumping on them.
