1941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 22, 2022, 06:05:03 PM
To those of you who criticize the fight cancellation vs. Gesta.

Ryan Garcia has made the correct decision, I reckon. If he was to continue the fight against Gesta and also has to have some of his attention on the superfight against Tank Davis on May, this will certainly be more added pressure that he does not need. Would fans still want King Ry vs. Tank if Ryan Garcia does not give a good performance against Gesta? What if he lost vs. Gesta? There is also risk of injury.

These are risks that Ryan should avoid. Similar argument to Tank also, he should cancel his fight against Hector Luis Garcia. He might injure his left hand again.

Pressure is not something that these boxers are unaware of, the moment they decided to be a professional boxer, they already know the situation they are in and that pressures will be always with them because people will always set a high bar and that is the risks of it. Also, if Ryan Garcia cannot even defeat Mercito Gesta then it would be a mismatch because it will be almost guaranteed that Ryan Garcia will lost the fight if he will go with Tank Davis afterwards.

What he did might benefit his situation because his focus will be now undivided towards Davis only but how about his readiness? He might be in for a surprise especially the fact that Ryan Garcia haven't had any similar experience against stronger boxer.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 22, 2022, 04:05:10 PM
Manny does not feel 100% in that fight against Ugas because he can't move his foot, but of course, that's an excuse for those who does not believe in him. I believe Pacman's decision to retire is just right, though he still can fight but he is already old to fight against the young champions, he had already proven with Thurman but he wasn't dominating the fight unlike before.

He is not focusing on boxing nowadays. He is more in to politics and activism. At this point, we should respect his decision. He might have felt that it is not possible for him to do two things at once (boxing and politics). Manny Pacquiao for the presidential a few months back, but he was not very successful (election was eventually won by Bongbong Marcos with Sara Duterte as the VP candidate, while Pacquiao managed to get less than 7% of the vote). The next elections are scheduled for 2028, and I have a feeling that Pacquiao's chances maybe higher then.

Right now, Manny Pacquiao is diverting his focus once again in boxing because he doesn't have any position anymore in the government. Maybe soon he will run again but in a much lower office because if he will run again at the presidential race, I reckon that his chances might increase compared to what happened in the recent race but the outcome would be the same.
Anyway, back to Spence-Thurman fight. Is there some updates regarding this topic? I hope it will still materialize after what happened to Spence recently.

Sadly, there's still no news regarding their fight next year and seriously, I don't even know if it's already inked or what because Spence's camp as well as Al Haymon are so silent about it and seems not interested to disclose some information. If we look some updates on the internet, the same articles will show up and if there is something new, it's also not relevant. Up to this date, there's no news and even the severity of Spence's legs aren't disclosed.
1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: December 22, 2022, 03:43:41 PM
^^ I speculate that they could have been a rivalry between the two, Usyk is just one weight class above Beterviev and possible that they could be talks for them to fight. But we all know that Usyk when as high as HW win the belts against AJ and the rest is history.

And I think Usyk though can still drop to CW and then Beterview can go as high as that weight so maybe a superfight is also possible in the future between the two.

That is a good and epic fight worth to be watching if both camps can materialize it, although just like what @bisdak40 said, there will be some issues that will make it hard to happen. Otherwise, they can always both meet at the middle, at the Cruiserweight division to make the fight happen and to end the speculations of their rivalry.

Yes, maybe in the catchweight? that could be good as Usyk is very small for a Heavyweight, he is just very talented and has the movement to stay away fro Anthony Joshua's punch and he is very technical as well to be able to win the 2 fights that he had against AJ. But if he faces Tyson Fury, it will be very difficult match for Usyk.

So who knows, after that fight with Tyson Fury, he can go back or meet Arthur Beterviev in the middle for a good money fight and it could be added some narrative of a Ukraine (Usyk) vs Russia (Beterviev), that will be huge.

That might be the case but let's see about that soon if both camps can truly materialize it and pave a way for their rivalry. Catchweight or not, as long as both stated names will meet inside the ring and will adjust themselves to fit in the cruiserweight division. That will surely be an attraction that will make the fight more marketable because of the fight's narrative.
1944  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: December 22, 2022, 03:22:10 PM
Anyone can say the same thing but few can really weigh the statement. As he has mentioned, Bitcoin will see a rise but don't expect an instant boost. On implementation, those who can wait will have to wait as it could still be months before we see any clear signs of recovery. But in the end, elon musk doesn't carry the fate of this industry, things can change so it's up to you to choose what to do.

Maybe in my mind, Elon was just trying to reduce his investment if he had done so before. Because you didn't even mention the link to the tweet and a lot of people would find what you said above to be less credible.

I think you should also realize this. People don't even know about the exact time of the upcoming bullish trend. There's no ETA for when winter will end either.

It's very obvious Bitcoin will rise in price at some point in the future. Elon Musk is just saying it to manipulate the market to his own benefit. He probably bought BTC at a cheap price and wants to sell it higher for profit. It really doesn't matter what he says anyways, especially when crypto is all about decentralization.

I'm waiting for the day when Bitcoin becomes independent of the stock market, the FED's monetary policies, and even the opinion of one person. Once that time comes, Bitcoin will become a true store of value. I believe we're still early since the world hasn't fully adopted Bitcoin yet. Who knows if we get to become the next BTC millionaires? Just my opinion Smiley

There's no need for us to be hasty about the bitcoins future because whether we like or not, bitcoin will recover and flourish sometime in the future. Elon Musk can say anything he want to say but in-terms of bitcoin, he cannot manipulate it according to his needs and saying some speculations about the future because it's not like something that he can manipulate easily. I might believe him if we're talking about memecoins, but we aren't. Yes?
1945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 22, 2022, 02:25:21 PM
I tried to research it but there is still no official report yet concerning Anthony Davis's injury. It is just a hint from Brian Windhorst. Will keep a positive outlook until the official reports come in. But if Davis is really out longer than one month, that will really hurt the Lakers' chance to even get illegible for the play-in. The surge of win they had lately was on the back of a great performance coming from Anthony Davis. It will be hard to fill that up with the roster the Lakers have right now. We may see a losing skid against from the Lakers.

The Lakers' upcoming schedule will be pretty tight, considering they will play 6 games until the end of December. So even if Davis misses only 1 month due to injury, it will still negatively affect the Lakers' results, and their chances of reaching at least the play-in tournament would likely be minimal.
Anyway, let's hope the Lakers' remaining healthy players will be able to perform well enough to avoid another losing streak.

Aside from Anthony Davis's situation that will directly affect the rosters situation, it seems to me that they will be making a huge move in the upcoming trade. There's so many names surfacing but none of them are guaranteed as of now that will be traded, just hopefully they won't get another star that will make the team's situation much harder as the reality will be much different from what they expected.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 22, 2022, 11:37:08 AM
We only have two games later, what are your picks on these games?

The home teams are both heavy favorites, here is the betting spread.

Spurs vs Pelicans (-8.5)
Wizards vs Jazz (-7)

I will take the favorites, they are both good at home, so I'm confident that they will win and cover the spread. The pelicans have (12 - 4) home record while Jazz have (11 - 5 ) record. Might as well put a parlay on these two teams, Wizards had just broken their losing streak but it's a back to back game for them, so they might lose again. Also, I have over bet on the total of these two games.

I like the home team here but I will stick with that bet, no more total as I noticed it only ruined my day.  Smiley

Two games only, so there are only a few games to analyze and I don't have to spend more time. So anyway, good luck to us, and hopefully we will have this good win tomorrow.

Tailing you on that Utah Jazz bet against the Washington Wizards, both teams have won their respective games today and tomorrow will be different because only one of them will get out the court victorious. The favorite will host the game, so that will be an another advantage for the hometeam.

Good luck guys!
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 21, 2022, 08:12:16 PM
That is the only big question on Ryan as he will have a almost a year break with no tune up in between fighting Tank Davis.

So it's could work against him, or the long break will give him more time to prepare mentally in this fight. He might have consulted his team before making the decision not to fight Gesta. But for mere speculators like us, he should take it this tune up, as nothing is best to prepare yourself by fighting inside because the biggest fight of his career.

Safe to say that Ryan Garcia was not alone in deciding not to transpire his upcoming fight with Mercito Gesta. We don't know what happened and why did they chose to take that path, and just decided to prepare straightly without having any tune-up fight that will suppose to benefit Ryan Garcia's situation before facing Gervonta Davis. In the end, we will likely know if their decision has indeed helped the situation or not.

This is the best opportunity to buy btc especially as a small investors.
I think they way scams are emerging  day to day it's really hard to find the best position to buy bitcoin, In previous day when Bitcoin confirm it's support above 20k some financial advisor told that it's best opportunity to buy bitcoin because Bitcoin is about to reach or hit it's bottom, but as a result after scams of exchanges Bitcoin dump. So my main point is that Bitcoin still didn't hit it's bottom, in my view Bitcoin will not pump till he hit it's bottom which is around 12k according to my technical analysis.
It's just my taught may be it's wrong..
Golden opportunity to buy bitcoin during the bear season since all the top project are dumping. Bitcoin fluctuate in price and it varies every single week. There's no point of entry because it's continual of dipping is possible. No one have the right entry to purchase Bitcoin but it's advisable to buy bitcoin at the slightest chance one has. Bitcoin is dumping due to the present existence of the bear season and it won't pump till the bull season come up, which will take place in the new year.

Indeed a good opportunity that we shouldn't just let it slide because it's already in-front of us screaming to buy a fraction while it's still cheap and while the market is bearish. This situation is only for hodling but for buying as well, anything will do because in the future we will reap the fruits we've sow once the market starts running bullish. Not just bitcoin, but for other top performing alts as well.

You underate Eduardo Camavinga and  Aurélien Tchouaménik, even Coman etc. the french team is blessed with talents, you notice that even with all the injuries that some of their former key player had, it did not still affect their campaign and they were able to make it to the finals. France is a team that is okay and a team to watch out for just like England and Brazil.

For me, Croatia just like Belgium will just be another regular team in the next world cup.
France appeared perfect at the World Cup this time, they lost many great players when the grand tournament took place, but their strength was still quite dominant even though it was filled with young players. One thing that impressed me with France's game was that they were able to come back 10 minutes into the second half so the match ended in a penalty shootout.

Even though in the end Argentina came out as champions, for me France performed quite consistently at the Qatar World Cup. While Croatia, Belgium and Portugal will be regular teams in the next World Cup, I think Portugal will also be included in the qualification.

There's no guarantees that the named teams will be participating or be included in the qualification in the next World Cup. Even the defending champions aren't that sure that they can lead the competition because it's been also said that this will be Messi's last World Cup too, so that will mean that their team's power will much be affected. Although, that not yet sure but that is already likely that it is his last indeed.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 21, 2022, 06:13:31 PM
For me, if Westbrick keeps on targeting triple-doubles it will not be enough, for me, I think do not target a triple-double but a huge output on scoring, like he recently have against the Nuggets it was an impressive triple-double but he needs to do more, and right now Anthony Davis has a foot injury that may cause some losing game for the Lakers but if Russell Westbrick would keep up his triple-double target it will not be enough I think he needs to do more on the scoring because Anthony Davis may return on December 19,

I think scoring isn't Westbrook's strong suit. Nevertheless, his ability to grab a lot of rebounds and make a lot of assists can be very useful for the Lakers, but only in those moments when Russ makes the minimum number of turnovers per game. As for Davis' absence, Thomas Bryant might partially replace him if he continues to perform as well as he did in the previous game against the Nuggets.

I barely see Westbrook create more than 20 points lately since he is now in the second unit. His best contributions are from his assists and rebounds. This is good since he keeps feeding Lebron and AD or anyone who is hot in the Lakers to keep them hot.

Even if Westbrook is not a scoring machine anymore and barely create 20+ points, he's still one of the huge reasons why the Lakers got an improvement lately. Yes, it did start when he fully embraced his role as the 6th man and trusted coach Ham's decision that he's more valuable coming from the 2nd unit. Also, coach Ham started utilizing the former Wizards, Thomas Bryant as their center while Davis is having some issues and the results were better because they aren't that much having a hard time when Davis is not around.

It's pretty much time for the Lakers to actually move on from Anthony Davis, despite being a heavy and consistent score for them when on the court this season, it's just obvious he can't stay fit, and he was also out for majority of their games when he would have been much needed last season, and this season too he's already missed a handful of games, I really don't know much they count on him for the reminder of the regular season, let alone the post season where the games are more intense and highly demanding, the fact that Lakers doesn't seemed to have an immediate future is something else of a worthy consideration.

I agree and I understand, but the problem is can they cater a trade for any good center to replace Davis this season? Because as far as I know, the Lakers management are also looking for some shooters that will be effective in almost every game and we all know that they only have a handful of future picks left. Hopefully, they can find some way to suffice what they have because sooner or later, they will still undergo rebuilding.
1952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: December 21, 2022, 05:57:53 PM

Quote
Dogecoin Price Losing the Grip as Elon Musk May Not Remain Twitter CEO for Long!

The Dogecoin price has been trading below the crucial 200-day MA since the beginning of the yearly trade. Meanwhile, the buying volume has fallen heavily. Also Today Elon Musk expressed his willingness to step down as Twitter CEO. He conducted a poll on twitter platform.

The Dogecoin price seems incredibly bearish and if Elon Musk quits as the Twitter CEO, the token may be badly impacted. Earlier Coinpedia made dogecoin price prediction for the end of 2023, as $0.158. But with current news it wants us to rethink and ask – is doge coin dead?

Dogecoin's situation has nothing to do with Twitter and with Elon Musk's possible stepping down as the CEO of Twitter, why would it impact the memecoin anyway? I don't really see some reasons that will have any effects with Dogecoin. And even if Elon Musk will step down, the dogecoins future is almost certainy anyway that it will be considered dead in the upcoming year just like the situation of Shiba Inu.

Also, Elon Musk will only step down if he finds someone that will replace him. So, that also means that if he'll find someone like him or at least achieve any of his standards as his replacement.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 19, 2022, 08:45:50 PM
Tank should have a scheduled fight on January 7, but if I'm not mistaken, the opponent is not yet known. From January to May, he will have 4 months to prepare for the fight with Garcia, this should be enough. As for the forecast for the fight, it will be a fight between two good punchers, and although I think that every fighter has a chance, and a couple of good blows can decide everything, I will give my preference to Tank.
Tank will fight against Hector Garcia, there's a user already create a thread since last month, maybe you missed it Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023. Let's say it need one month to recover about everything, Tank still has 3 months to training and it's more than enough.

Both boxers ever fallen and then came back to beat their opponents, so couple of good blows might not make either of them to stop. Maybe after many punches and it make them knock down multiple times, technical stoppage is more make sense for me.

With this upcoming fight of Davis, Garcia will see how prepared Davis is for their fight.
Garcia already ditched his supposedly fight with Gesta this coming month to focus on Davis.
Is it a good decision for Garcia or not? We will see if this will help when he faces with Davis.
He has a long break now from the boxing ring, so hopefully his decision is right.
If Davis will win on his upcoming fight, I believe, Garcia will be the underdog in their fight.

Even if Tank Davis won't have a tune-up fight, I reckon that he still will be the favorite from the sports bookies lists.

I might have an idea why Ryan Garcia and his camp didn't push through their own tune-up fight, this is just a wild guess and I might be wrong about this but I'm thinking that they are refraining from doing the fight before Ryan fight Davis so that he won't be that predictable especially after the fact that Mercito Gesta moves like Davis. So, somehow, it's like giving Tank's camp some idea how they will be dealing with Tank. Although, as much as it will be an advantage, it's also an advantage because it's a good chance for Ryan Garcia to practice with Gesta because he's like Tank already.
1954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin? on: December 19, 2022, 06:53:45 PM
@yudi09 99.9% of all the supporters of altcoin that had a strong community have more enthusiasm for Bitcoin and the safest investment in cryptocurrency will always be Bitcoin.
The altcoin support community is just a group of people who want to make profits in the short term but despite all that a bigger risk awaits altcoins are usually difficult to recover and this is completely different from bitcoin, I think I have avoided altcoins.

You got a point, but we also cannot generalize all altcoins and saying that they are usually difficult when it comes to recovering phase because not all altcoins does have the same situation. And to answer the OP's question, my answer will be and always be bitcoin.

@Pandu Geddon
Prediction will also be prediction and in other words, it is said to be guessing the market's next possible trend and this is the reason why some people consider trading as gambling while investors advise to always invest the amount people can afford to lose. However, every long-time investment done in Bitcoin is always the best.

Predictions are just guesses to get close to the price and no one can predict the exact price so the analysis they need is just to get close but in this way we can see the movement in the analysis, I think this is important in a trade, for investment they are clearly different only can buy below and sell high so long term it won't be complicated for an analysis.

And all of it are pure mere speculations, it may be true or not but in most cases, these speculations doesn't really guarantee that it will happen in the near future. Even the so-called experts and the ones who got some analysis cannot predict it. But it's good to have prediction because in that way, we're also getting ourselves ready although, as I said, most of these predictions aren't really likely.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 19, 2022, 06:29:44 PM
what a beautiful world cup final yesterday! perhaps the most beautiful of all time. I think the whole world expected Argentina to win! for Messi, to crown an immense career full of trophies!

I personally did not really expect that Argentina would win yesterday to be honest because for me, the French team just has a stroner squad and has better players than Argentina at almost every position. Yesterday made obvious again though that class and quality alone does not mean a lot. You also need passion and commitment. In the first half the French team showed a really really bad and also weird performance. They seemed like they were not motivated which should not be the case in a world cup final obviously. In the end Argentina definitely deserved to win.

I strong agree, even the bettors were certainly rooting for France to win because before the championship rounds, they showed better performance and their efforts are far more better than what Argentina did. But everything has changed when these two stated teams met in the Championship, it seems to me that France were not on their own selves when they faced the opposite team especially Messi and weird enough to see that their defense is not that tight which led a 2-0 run in favor of Argentina. But then Mbappe seems to regain consciousness and brought back the teams morale when he did a hat trick which tied the score into 3-3.

In the end, Argentina prevailed and Martinez became a hero when he successfully blocked 2 penalty kicks from the French team in a penalty shoot-out.

1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: December 19, 2022, 05:21:59 PM
There is no need for a dilemma, we have strong hands to start and invest in bitcoin and buy it from now on, which is currently down, while we can be optimistic that after the bearish ends, bullish will definitely appear, so those strong hands need to be held tightly so that we can hold on to the long term as expected many have suggested.
If we already know about the prospects for bitcoin, we must immediately get profits as soon as possible. What needs to be done is to continue to acquire bitcoins in any way, including DCA and Dips, which we feel are right to make our strategy for investing in bitcoins gradual, and from this stage we can accumulate within a certain period of time such as more than a year which is our target.
Currently Bitcoin price have going down under $17,000 and right time for re investing, but many conflict interest in Bitcoin and several biggest countries not happy how Bitcoin become popular. I think United State is never allowed for Bitcoin become global legal currency transaction around the world, I know what bad impact when United State make FUD with Bitcoin.

I have optimistic with Bitcoin can reach higher price again, but FUD seems stronger day by day and many bad news make Bitcoin crash from trusted and reputation exchange market crash like FTX until several biggest network get exploit and altcoin top ten position standing in market get drop drastically.

I know it's cliché but I do think that it's normal for the market to have some crashes, it somewhat an evolution needed for bitcoin to be much greater in the future. FUD's are normal during and a by-product from what has happened during these times and the future is also a mystery but we should know that the market will recover because it always will. And despite of what happened recently, there's no doubt that there's still a lot of investors who bought some of the coins that they'd think that would be more valuable in the future. Let's just be optimistic.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 18, 2022, 11:19:31 AM
Just to let everyone knows that Ryan will not go to on a tune up fight before a Tank Davis clash.

He will rather have to wait for Davis to win against Hector Garcia then him waiting for the next 2-3 months next year. It could be a advantage or disadvantage for Ryan Garcia, advantage as he could focus and train just for Davis in that span of time. Or disadvantage because of ring rust  because it is close to a year without him fighting.

Yes, I also read this news earlier that Ryan Garcia will go directly against Gervonta Davis few months after the latter's tune-up fight. Don't know what happened in their camp for the sudden decision as they haven't disclosed some reasons why but I'm thinking that it may be risky for the young blood because Gesta is also dangerous, Ryan Garcia's chances to win the fight against the Filipino boxer is actually good but I think their main concern is that Ryan Garcia won't be leaving the ring unscathed which will result some delay of their preparations because he needed to rest first.

He could be very confident that he will win, when we say it's just a tuneup fight, he does not consider his opponent as a serious threat. The real threat here is Davis, that's why he wants to ensure that he is well-prepared for this big fight next year. Whoever wins this fight will surely make headlines, so I guess it would be nice if there's a rematch clause so we will witness another battle between the two.
1959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 18, 2022, 10:50:13 AM

Hard to see them still in the playoff even with AD healthy, teams in the West are very competitive. They are still in the 12th position.

They need a lot of effort to at least be in the top 10 rankings so they'll qualify in the play-in tournament. Davis health is very vital, with an inconsistent Davis, Lakers might struggle winning games in the regular which are necessary to improve their ranking. Things are really different now, the good teams like Warriors are not even at the top, so it's a big competition in the play in tournament.

Not receiving any money? Probably as we all know that Manny loves to help his fellow Pinoy.

But maybe in his next exhibition match in Saudi Arabia, he might be getting some, perhaps to cover some expenses and other small things that he needs to settle. And I also do believed that boxers specially in exhibition matches are still looking for good money. It's the only way that they can still get some when they are retired already so same case with Manny here.
The next exhibition Manny will make a lot money since Saudi Arabia is a rich country, however does Manny is only looking for another exhibition match right now? because I've remember he said he will try to comeback in the boxing professional record and want to fight with Crawford. Since Manny can't win via KO in this fight, it's make me think Manny has lost his power and he can't compete with a great boxers in professional record.

Yes, that's what I also think about his next fight. And that is why he is willing to let go of the money from the DK Yoo fight and help his Filipino countrymen and then some for the Ukrainian cause because his next fight will be worth millions guarantee I reckon.

We all know that there are a lot of boxing events that is being held in Saudi, and if I'm not mistaken his comeback fight against Lucas Matthysse should be in the Middle East but iw as scraped on the last minute and it was held in another country, in Malaysia.

That's a good rumor, after his dominating fight against DK Yoo, he will be heading to Saudi Arabia for a different opponent. I'm pretty sure Paman will be able to draw a big crowd as he is very popular all over the world. Pacman has not received the proceeds of his previous fight, but he is fulfilled because he was able to help the charities which will receive the funds.
