1961  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Multiple watch-only wallets possible? on: August 15, 2022, 03:50:29 PM
For number 1, if you use the device with the watch only wallet for a lot of things and there's a decent chance it could get malware then I'd suggest checking the address matches the offline one for larger transfers but it might not matter as much to you for smaller ones.
This is a good point as online devices are more prone to get infected with malwares (ie. clipboard hijacker malware. However, you don't really want to open your offline wallet every time you are going to receive a new payment. This is not a good practice if you want your wallet to remain as safe as possible.
A better alternative would be to use the ismine command from the watch only wallet to check if the copied address does really belong to your wallet. Can someone confirm if it's possible to run commands from a watch only wallet, pls.
1962  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Q4 2010-Q1 2011 wallets on: August 15, 2022, 02:27:45 PM
I believe it's safe to assume that the most used wallet back in 2010-2011 was bitcoin core and the name of the software was bitcoin-qt, if am not wrong!
However, HD wallets and bip32 was introduced in 2012. So if you are certain your wallet is older than that then it should be in the form of private keys or a file usually named wallet with no extension.
If you have a 12 word seed then your wallet certainly can't be older than 2012. Try to import it into Electrum or a wallet that supports bip39 standard and see if it works.
1963  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: August 15, 2022, 02:00:18 PM
If you could show the provably fair of ALL games that would be great, if not then an announcement about how not ALL of the games are provably fair would be lovely.
In the announcement thread it says: "Our games are provably fair" and this is true. In-house games on blackjack.fun (blackjack and Red/Bkack) are provably fair and you can check it yourself by clicking on the PROVABLYFAIR button on the left of the game page. By clicking on that button You will get the server seed and you can edit the client seed.
They never said all the games are provably fair simply because this is impossible as most games come from third party providers and blackjack.fun have no control on how those games work. You have to trust the provider. (Some bgaming games are provably fair, btw).
1964  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: owl.games scam on: August 15, 2022, 10:37:38 AM
I am saying that the reason why your account could have been closed is that you placed multiple bets on a CSGO match where the total amount of wagered money exceeds the limit on your account. They might look at that as a rule infringement.
If this is indeed what happened the I must say that both parties share part of the responsibility: The player for not ignorant of the casino's ToS and exceeding the limits by placing multiple bets on the same game and the casino for allowing him to do so in first place.
Voiding all bets is a reasonable and fair decision in this case but I don't see any reason to lock the player's account and seize his fund. What he did didn't cause any damage whatsoever.
In the meantime, owl.games should fix this to prevent other players from making the same mistake.
1965  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino2x.xyz NO KYC! Instant crypto deposit! Only in house games! on: August 14, 2022, 11:48:38 PM
Welcome Casino2x!

I signed up and claimed the welcome bonus. The welcome bonus is 20 units and you need at least 300 units to be able to convert it to real balance with an exchange rate of 1/3. This may reduce the risks of abusing the bonus but am afraid it will not stop it completely especially that there is no wagering requirements or anything like that!
On all games there is a provably fair button which let you verify the results but it doesn't explain how the pf system works and the explanation on the FAQ page is also not clear. Is it possible to verify the results on an independent third party vérifier?
1966  Other / Archival / Re: 💎 Cryptolottery.BET 💎 A winner every 5 minutes [BTC lotteries] on: August 14, 2022, 11:16:12 PM
How does the casino determines the winning number on each round? I can’t find info about the probably fair of the game itself. And what percentage does the casino deducting on the prize pool since this all coming on players bet based on how I understand the mechanics of the game. I play this kind of game before and I really like P2P lottery instead of having the typical lottery that there’s no guaranteed winner on each round. This will be better if you will tokens as additional rewards for betting aside from the prize pool.
The house takes 5% from the total poll which is a bit too much imo and should be lowered.
There is no information, I couldn't find any anyway, regarding how the winning ticket is picked and this is something they need to address. As a new casino, the least they can do is to use provably fair algorithms so there would be no trust issues.
1967  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Bingo-hash.com fake gambling website. on: August 14, 2022, 10:12:45 PM
A gambling website promising a stable income, that's a first! On top of that they will assign you a personal instructor!
Does this really work? I mean how can anyone be so naive to fall for this?

After you join any Big telegram group you will get various offers messages. And all those messages are intended to lure you into a tempting trap and scam you.
This is one of the many downsides of using telegram. If your account is set as public, which is the default setting, anyone can find you and start sending you unsolicited messages.
1968  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: August 14, 2022, 09:16:56 PM
although for now, thanks to the price of Btc between $20k-$23k, what is charged is not much, so the LN is not taken into account, but I am sure that BTC does Going up to $100k will have a big impact and transactions will be much more expensive and this causes a lot of problems
That's not necessarily true. The price of bitcoin has no direct impact on transactions fees. Transactions fees are affected by the mempool status. I remember back in late 2017 - early 2018 we had to pay $20 or more in fees for a fast confirmation although bitcoin price was less than $20k, however, when bitcoin reached its ath (~70k) it was possible to get a fast confirmation while paying less than $1 in fees.

Lightening network looks somehow hard to comprehend which is the reason why making casinos and gamblers had stay away from it
This is a common misconception, unfortunately. There are many wallets which make making transactions on the lightning network even easier than making transactions on the main net. Take Wallet of Satoshi as example!
1969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learned about Bitcoin on: August 14, 2022, 07:21:59 PM
This may have been discussed many times but I believe also that Demand and Supply are the two main factors that affect Bitcoin pricing. When there is a shortage of Bitcoin and an increase in demand, the price will rise.
There is no doubt that demand and supply is what determines the price of any asset but the real question is what factors affect the demand and/or supply and cause it to change! Some people think it's giid/bad news, regulations, halving as you said.. But, imo, the crypto market is totally different from any other market and sometimes it moves irrationally without any logical reasons.

Despite the fact that Bitcoin is well-known, let's not forget that only 1% to 2% of people worldwide own and utilize it, keeping it far from being a widely-used currency.
Not sure how accurate those numbers are, but 2% of world population isn't a small number at all considering that the first bitcoin transaction was made only ~13 years ago.
1970  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: https://8bet.io on: August 14, 2022, 05:38:20 PM
They are active in this thread every day, so you can start making some noise there and see if it works: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5129857.msg60730093;topicseen although I'm not sure if it's a bot posting or a real human.
If you have a complaint or a suggestion,  you have to post it on the announcement thread. Here is the link to 8bet's Ann thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3038024.480
I noticed that OP posted there multiple times but he didn't get any response which was expected as it seems they are using a bot to post updates and promotions and never interact with other members.

Screenshots of your Deposit and withdrawal histories
He didn't make any deposit. He won that money from free spins which makes me wonder if he has completed the wagering requirement before he made the withdrawal request!
1971  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Get in my shoes for a minute on: August 14, 2022, 03:47:01 PM
^^
There is also KeepKey which isn't a bad hardware wallet either and it costs only $49.
If you have a limited budget, slike in OP's case, I don't think spending money on a hw wallet is a good idea. Just use a reliable software wallet which you can get for free.

For some reason user Bhig Daddy bumped this three months old thread,  so not sure if OP is still interested in new suggestions, anyway.

1973  Other / Archival / Re: 💎 Cryptolottery.BET 💎 A winner every 5 minutes [BTC lotteries] on: August 13, 2022, 11:39:47 PM
1 - What is the maximum prize for each winner?
For the 1 vs 1 lottery (2 players), each player can buy one ticket for 100 credits (worth $1) and the winner will get 190 credits (worth $1.9)
For The 100 lottery, you can buy more than one ticket and the prize depends on the number of sold tickets (100 max). So the winner can get 950 credits (worth $9.5) in case 100 tickets were sold during that round. Note: in this mode a ticket costs only 10 credits.

2 - if, for example, nobody wins the prize during a month, for example, will the prize value increase or will it always be the same value?
I am not totally sure how their system works but it doesn't look like a progressive raffle. It seems like it's designed in a way that ensure there will be always a winner for each round.
1974  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: August 13, 2022, 11:07:44 PM
We can't really call the mentioned examples as biggest wins unless we know how much the players have lost before hitting it and how much they have spent on gambling from that money. But there is no doubt those are huge multipliers we don't see everyday.
The risk is the same (same odds for any other player). It's just those players got extremely lucky and hit the jackpot, which is something I envy them for.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Finally Helped My Friend Invest $50000 Into BITCOIN for Retirement. on: August 13, 2022, 10:17:27 PM
OP, I appreciate your enthusiasm and I encourage everyone to tell their friends and relatives about bitcoin and explain to them how it works.

However, and to be honest, I don't think you had to go as far as to convince him to invest in it for the long term: First, because you don't won't to be held liable in case something goes wrong. Second, because I believe the whole idea of buying bitcoin and holding it for long time is a good idea for the simple reason that it was meant to be used as a payment method and if everyone is going to stockpile it in their wallets,  it will end up having no value.
1976  Other / Archival / Re: 💎 Cryptolottery.BET 💎 A winner every 5 minutes [BTC lotteries] on: August 13, 2022, 09:16:51 PM
Welcome Cryptolottery.bet!
I bought 4 tickets with the 40 tickets I got as welcome bonus and from the faucet.
The first thin I noticed is that when you buy a ticket you will not be given a ticket number which I find a bit weird.
Also, after the raffle ends nothing happens! The animation keeps playing and at the bottom it's stuck on "Raffle will end in 00m : 00s". I figure out that I have to open the Completed tab to see the result of the raffle. I was expecting to see the name of the winner or the number of the winning ticket announced on the same page with a notice whether I won or not.

I don't think so. It looks like the website will open in whatever language you have set in your last visit. They are using cookies to store this information and use it every time you visit the website. In my case, when I clear the cookies it opens in Arabic language again!
It would be better to use geolocation to detect the location of the visitor and display the content in his language.
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real most rewarding Crypto Casino? on: August 12, 2022, 09:24:12 PM
...
Casino 1: Sweet Bonanza RTP 50%
Casino 2: Sweet Bonanza RTP 96% but rakeback =10% of casino expected edge so 96.4% real RTP
Casino 3: Sweet Bonanza RTP 96% but rakeback=50% of casino expected edge so real RTP=98%

Why would I not only deposit on Casino 3 and get the most bang for my buck in entertainment value?
In that case you should definitely opt for the third option. It's common sense to play on the casino that has the highest rtp as long as it's reliable.
What I meant to say in my previous reply is that just because the casino offers many promotions doesn't mean it's the most rewarding. There are few exceptions (some members already mentioned few of them), but in most casinos it will look like this:
Casino X: Sweet Bonanza RTP 96% ; rakeback =10% - > 96.4% real RTP
Casino X: Sweet Bonanza RTP 94% ; rakeback =40% - > 96.4% real RTP
