that sounds pretty cool.
We never know what will happen with the massive electricity which bitcoin miners consume. Maybe some goverments will put a law, sanction what ever on the mining process to cut the electricity waste.
Than IOTA would be the green coin.
Then the PoS algorithm (proof-of-stake) can be called such a "green" nonvolatile one. We need only any computer with Internet access, on which a synchronized wallet will be launched - this is called the masternode. You earn new coins by confirming transactions on the network. There can be of course both PoW/PoS or as IOTA own unique PoW.

ok, i just read something at reddit regrding IOTA: If you want to do a transaction you have to process two other transaction. That means every sender will be a little miner.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
You can buy IOTA on the exchange - so they will appear in your wallet. But to transfer them to another purse, you will need to do the work - serve the other two transactions. In principle, then you can call yourself a miner/masternode/server.

Hello guys! I want to make far from RX 470. Today I was searching BIOS firmware and find interesting project. What do you think about it? Is it possible? Such performance, low temperature.. Is it worth trying or it's better not to waste time? The idea of the project is quite interesting. If the driver and the miner will really give the declared results "out of the box" and match the concept of all'in'one it will be amazing. Most likely will be used by the developments of Wolf0 and Claymore. Although now your can achieve similar results - hashrate and power/temperature - using several programs (Overdrive Aftauberer) for more fine-tuning of video cards.

I installed these drivers
works ok for month
after month windows decided update and after that i got 22mhash
i want to change mobo anyway and put new ssd on in it so OS as well
I installed fresh win10 64bit
but windows installed 17.7 crimson relive on it
I try to update to robinh00d drivers but not work
windows said - best driver is already installed
WTF
You can simply prevent Windows from updating the driver of a particular device (in this case, a video card) by its ID. How to do this is described in this article https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/2007.06.grouppolicy.aspx

So I'm very new to mining and yesterday attempted a bit of bitcoin mining via nicehash and found that my GPU and processor were getting super hot and after several hours or so had only mined $1.30 or so....
So today I'm trying to mine Monero using minergate and so far so good except I'm just noticing on MSI AFTERBURNER that I'm not even remotely hot after overclocking both gpu and processor, is this normal?
I'm guessing that it's just because the equations or difficulty level is so much harder for bitcoin which is why everyone now using ASIC MACHINES but just wanted to throw it on here in case I'm missing anything....thanks!
All right, Bitcoin and Monero using different algorithms. Minergates not the best choice. I understand that for the beginner it is convenient GUI and minimum settings, but I advise you to pick up a normal pool. And graphical shell have is Winminer( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2004875.0) and Zawawa( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1716584.0). Minergates bad reviews - they steal the shares.

Hi there,
thanks for this fast answere!
I've just try NiceHash Miner, but it don't recognize anything too, and told me at the first run "No supported devices".
after a bit of search, i've found that my CPU doesn't support AES and my GPU doesn't support CUDA, i think it'd be a problem for mining at this time. Is there any other mining tool that support this kind of hardware?
Well I think this hardware is too old for trying mining now, i think i've already spend too many time for the profitabilities this could have!
thanks for your help
Can try to download and run Winminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2004875.0. A processor instruction can be used not only AES, but also AVX.

В письме и пример приведен: "Creating minimum tick sizes: Within the next 2 weeks, on a per market basis, we will be instituting minimum tick sizes that are based on the current price of the market. The target is to have minimum trade sizes that are near 0.1% of the current price. The current minimum tick size is 1 Satoshi. For example, Ethereum trades at 0.0577 Bitcoin. Bids and asks can only be placed in 0.0001 increments. So the next levels allowable levels on the order book will be 0.0576 and 0.0578."

And that you are confused in accede VirusTotal? Mention bitcoin.miner? So this is a normal reaction of the anti-virus on wallets which have a miner.

I'm new to mining and I'm just wondering if there are other algo's that does a similar thing as Claymore. Like Claymore's competitor or proprietary algo that people use? Curious, common sense tells me that Claymore is not the only program that can write program. Thank you for enlightening me!
Claymore is definitely a great miner and not the only one. The Claymore is used for common algorithms/coins - Monero, Etherium (and dual) and Zcash with a forks. Some coins use algorithms that only support Ssgminer with modifications.

Hi! I finished my build with 6x RX 580. The undervolt parameters (-mvddc and -cvddc) doesn't seem to apply on the cards. I also tried undervolting with MSI AFTERBURNER but it won't let me change the undervolt settings even though I checked the box in the settings.
Anybody encountered the same issue and found a solution?
You need to use OverdriveNTool to change voltages. This is analogous to the program WattTool that has stopped working driver 17.7.2 and above. https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/overdriventool-tool-for-amd-gpus.416116/

There should be a team focused to list HUSH at multiple exchanges since we had a very good developer already.
This coin looks promising but there is not too much of a difference between all zcash forks, imho you should focus more on contracts (or something unique), new exchanges and mobile wallets.
To enter the new exchange HUSH needs to offer something new. If someone forgot then let me remind you that recently there have been changes in the team HUSH. Now they are focused on refining roadmap, HUSH messenger, and a light wallet. Someone just posted this link a few hours ago on the MyHush Reddit, Anyone wanna weight in whether or not this is Bullshit or not? https://bittox.com/2017/11/23/leaked-hush-coin-listed-bittrex-end-november/Very doubtful, but it now explains the rising cost of Cryptopia. Perhaps a cunning pump. We have to wait for comment from mreichardtI asked the developers in telegram. Here's what they said to me: [discord/bridge] <luge> Quoting mreichardt - the team doesnt have any info and isn't privy to what Bittrex does. https://t.me/MyHush/55730So just fake news. Although played at a price. It's surprising that there was not a significant sale or the opposite of buying. Although now there is a significant "wall" to 6000 HUSH (0.00024290), but it is likely to maintain prices.

guys is there a way to mix install these cards ? i tried blockchain drivers. recent non chain drivers. even older 16.11 drivers. Rx vega 56 is installed correctly and windows recognize rx 570 but there is a yellow triangle on it. I used update driver and it says there is problem installing the driver correctly.
i used ddu in safe mode to remove drivers. Anyone tried this mix install ? Any success ?
After installing the driver try to use AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

SO I got my hands on a vega 64 for 500 bucks for mining but I have never ever used a amd card for gaming. Always NVidia or 3dfx. I can find info on the vega 56 but not the 64. Is there a special bios for the 64 model or just leave it alone? Also is there special drivers to use when mining with nicehash? Also if any one has some links to info that would be great. I have tried search on here but it keeps iming out and tells me to wait or brings up nothing when I type in vega 64.
Thank u all again and happy mining/ thanks giving.
Learn to use search of the forum. A bit below your top it is top with reference to the modification and BIOS. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.0Album how to mod VEGA 64 VEGA 56/64 Video BIOS Collection

I have a shortlist of around 10 pools to mine from depending on when blocks are discovered, but I'm not sure how to decide which one to join. Is it better to join a pool:
that has more miners connected that has higher total hashrate
To me it makes sense to join a pool that has the lowest total hashrate, because then my hash rate would make up more of the total and so I'd solve more blocks... but is this the best way to decide, and if not, how to make the decision?
Do the test on the day on pools with high, medium, low hashrates. If the pool is low hashrate will find new blocks, it is certainly better to stay on it. But if you're going to pull an entire pool and the block will be once in three days or a week it is better to go to a pool with high hashrate and have a stable though small payments due to the frequent detection of blocks.

Hello i mine Zcash, i have to put in my GPU numbers in my miners, which is not a problem, i was just wondering how to link them back to the GPU's to see the performance, i believe that it does not go straight down 1 through 6 top to bottom, Im not sure if the line up is because i only got 4 of the 6 so far so i have the first 4 slots picked, but like GPU 1 on my miner, is not the first on my motherboard but im usuing 1070's with a Biostart TB85 I was wondering if theres a way to tell your GPU Number's when your entering entering in your 1-6 on the miner so you can see how the actual card is performing instead of guessing as im doing now, Thanks so much for your time. Very sorry for the noob mining question really apprecaiate the help in advance. I have looked under devives and looked at the PCI its under and what its listed as but still seeing to have a problem/dont understand thanks alot guys.
Try it out by changing the revolutions of the cooler on graphics cards. 1. In MSI Afterburner; 2. In the miner writing in config -fanmin 20,70,70 and/or fanmax 20,70,70. hat is, the force forcing the cooler on one card to rotate slower than the other. And change these values alternately; 3. To stop the miner from one of the graphic card buttons 0-9 (depending on number of cards). The logic: card will cease production and to cool, and the cooler turns to fall.

I've search this site, and Google, and can't find any info.
I assume it's fairly small for now, but wondering how long I can mine with a 2GB or 3GB size GPU.
Can you point me to somewhere that I can find out the DAG file size for ZenCash? Or is there some other method I can use to determine size?
Thanks!
Quote: "ZenCash is an equihash based cryptocurrency, and works well for GPU mining." What makes you think that it creates a DAG-file? DAG-file is used in Etherium.
