Is this coin able to work on mobile phones yet? I might know a store that's interested in bartering cannabis for cannacoin.

Right now you can use Cannapay.io for mobile devices to make trades and send, but we haven't integrated the QR scanning yet.  Our next steps are adding QR code scanning for mobile devices... hopefully in two weeks time.   Once that is done then it will be a great staging platform for mobile payments and point-of-sale.

We've got all resources currently focused on the POSV transition and new wallets, we'll know more soon... thanks for your support

Nice.

I hope you don't do something stupid during the transition to POSV like requiring users to actively participate in some sort of coin swap.

I didn't bury paperwallets in my backyard just to dig them up anytime soon.

Does anyone have a working blockchain? I think bittrex has the only one. Someone better get the blockchain or this coin is dead.

I asked bittrex to provide some addnodes. They seemed receptive. It would be some great good will for them if they were able to do such a thing.

I want to buy some of this coin but I just can't buy a coin when no one can get the wallet to sync.

Dang. For a moment yesterday I thought I was going to be able to get some THC for 50 satoshi.

Don't get mad in 5 years when you have no coins to post classified ads on the go to decentralized classifieds app.

So... I take my summercoinV1 wallet.dat file, put it into the NavajoCoin appdata folder on windows and I will have my NavajoCoins?

Did you do the coin swap in the past?

IDEK. I didn't have many SUM or SUM2 anyways. I probably had like 0.00001% of all coins. I was keeping them in a paperwallet and going check back in a few years to see whats up.

So you had to do something to get in on the coin swap? I'm curious about why this coin swap step needs user interaction. Can't the wallet.dat or paperwallets still work after a coin swap without users doing anything?

I left a 10,000 hemp coin paperwallet tip for my waiter tonight. I wrote on the back "Keep this in your sock drawer for 5 years". I hope he wasn't mad. I didn't leave him anything else as a tip. I also hope he keeps it for 5 years. I even laminated it for him.

As part of our research on the idea of a possible source code switch and coin swap we should all list the coins that we think are the best to switch over to.

I actually don't know any good POS coins so all I can mention is:
reddcoin.com

Important thing is implementing multi-algo, base can be anything. NVC is very advanced code in my opinion (that's our current code), Redd is good too.

I can't find any multi-algo coins with POS+POW. Do you know any?

Multi-algo would be a great feature to add. All miners would be able to support the network. I would want to support sha256, scrypt, x11 and keccak. I don't see a point in trying to support a cpu only algo since it'll be GPU soon after. Do you know if its possible to remove and add algorithms after a multi-algo coin is launched? I would want it even. 2 ASICs algos and two non-ASICs algos. Once x11 goes ASIC then that would be 3 to 1 with ASICs winning.

Because none exist yet. We would be first.

I would like to keep things simple. Scrypt + ASIC-resistant algo. Nothing more. I think more algos wouldn'tgive us any advantage and would only complicate things.

Every algo has advantages, 2 which standout most IMO opinion are Keccak and Groestl.

I agree. Keep things simple. Scrypt + (Keccak || Groestl) would be good with me.

Hi! Cheesy
Hi 2,
Posted before I this topic but my posts were removed because I promote more or less my own coin.
This coin is the same situation as EnergyCoin with to low exchange rate.
The OC I have I keep save but it is not much, about 1000 coins I have mined 6 months ago.
When ENRG is successful I go establish an exchange where only POS coins can be traded and exchanged into $
POS is the only right way for CryptoCurrency.
I like to discuss how we can survive and maybe OC and ENRG are most wanted crypto currencies of the future.
Thanks,
Jan
Orangecoin is suffering only because of the absense of a DEV. This coin has lots of untapped potential.

Exactly, we have the community, some are sleeping while they wait for a dev. But once OC gets a dev, these giants will awaken. Once again, OC is a sleeping giant. Remember 6 months ago? Smiley

I think the same. Even if I am out atm, I will get back into OC in the right time. Wink

I love the POS staking with no POW coins coming in. It seems everyone is happy to sit back and let the POS coins roll in for another year.

I think the best plan is to follow behind a really good coin. Find a coin that already has things like a decentralized lite wallet with POS ability. A coin where the devs aren't going to disappear anytime soon. Then the devs here can work together with the devs on future development on the coins source code, which is the exact same.

I have a question about a coin swap and complete new source code:
If hemp coin remains with the same H starting letter for receiving addresses, would it be possible to premine the current ~130,000,000 coins and then send them all out anonymously to the same addresses that hold them now? That sounds pretty easy to me and like a good idea if it's possible. I would like for the old block chain to remain under old.blockchain.info forever if a coin swap happens.

I don't want a coin swap but it's looking like a good idea.If there is a swap, the coins must be swapped anonymously. Anyone with a wallet.dat file or a paper wallet must get the coins in that same wallet without any knowledge of the coin swap.

I have another idea which could be good. I never like to go 1 way. I like many ways to do things. This leads me to think... what if THC remains how it is now and we create a brand new coin called HEMP. HEMP will be premined and use the same H in the receiving addresses. Anyone with THC as of say... Dec. 25th or Jan 1st will also have that much HEMP.

This whole idea relies on the ability to use the same wallet.dat/paperwallets with the two different coins and blockchains.

That's what we are doing currently. We are following NVC. No POS coin has lite wallet, as far as I know.

Hmmm....that may be possible! All that would be needed is make little app, that would send coins to new chain. It would go like this:
1. Snapshot of all addresses  balance would be created.
2. First block with exactly that amount as reward would be mined.
3. App on server would send all coins to respective addresses.
4. User would either use old wallet in new client or they would dump old wallet private keys and import them to new wallet. Old paper wallets would be compatible with new wallet.
5. Done!

That's brilliant idea! I'm so glad we have people like this in THC community!

I'm sure killsig could get a list of all the addresses with balances at a specific block with no problems at all. His block explorer is the best explorer that I have ever seen.

I think it's necessary to keep the old blockchain available to the public. A public ledger is important. Foul play could be involved if a complete blockchain from the beginning isn't always available.

Edit: If killsig could somehow merge both blockchains together in his block explorer, it would be the most amazing thing ever.

LOL, I talk like this plan is going down for sure.

I don't care if the public knows the ICO bitcoin addresses. Either way I'm in on this coin and want to support it.

It would be cool to monitor the funds though. Keep the devs on the best track. Give input on how the funds are being used. Review their development docs. I think working openly with the community on how the funds get used would lower costs. The community can review everything and give suggestions to improve the quality of work and/or lower costs.

I like the idea of buying back coins. This coin is cheap right now. I hope the devs have more than 90% of the BTC still. I think BTC is going up a lot so it's best to keep as many BTC as possible and not spend at a sub $1000 level.
