Nah, no more. These days 20k-30k btc dumps are barely noticed by the market

Use a client like Multibit, no need to download the whole blockchain.
Idea one: change pool, deepbit has high fees. Idea two: do not mine with nvidia, you spend more in electricity than what you earn...
It would discourage hoarding NO. in case it is not clear: NO
An advantage of ASIC is that they are easy to use. Plug and play, really. No need to have computers with GPUs busy at mining. You buy ASIC and you are ok.
Another way to "earn" bitcoins is to "mine" them Seriously no. Today mining isn't exactly profitable. Suggesting a new guy to mine is a bad idea.

GPU. They are good at ltc.
Competition is ALWAYS healthy
For example, you could stop processing transactions with a fee lower than 1 BTC. The instant you achieve such control, bitcoin would die because everyone would stop using it.

As other people said, java and javascript are TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
I think they would fail even if they attempted it That is the problem. If they attempt they will of course succeed, since it is not hard at all.
Next time read some guides instead of waiting, miners get the transaction fees If you don't mine, of course you don't earn anything

What is Sauron opinion about bitcoin???
That guy thinks that bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme and that he will get rich with his computer by mining
Every miner eventually will have only ASIC. Sure, it will take some months, but there is nothing we can do about that.
Wow, a great article. I read it all and it kept surprising me for how well it is written. It explains everything so well!
It is a fact: GPU mining is dead once ASICs are common.
Also, it means that no one can develop asic and attack bitcoins while we are still based on old gpu mining. If everyone have asics, then attacking bitcoin will be harder. And mining is exactly about that: security.
It looks like a 2011 article, imprecise, focus on the wrong things, too much focus on mining...
