1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: December 27, 2019, 05:57:58 PM
19 days until Grins first birthday. Who will bake the cake?  Will we have huge party or more just for close friends of Grin?
1982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will Bitcoin ever Become Physical coin ? on: December 27, 2019, 05:25:35 PM
Cryptocurrency Become Really Big, Bitcoin is king of crypto world. in Future any chance  physical coin manufactured ?

No because if someone send bitcoins from wallet that is on the Physical coin, then that wallet is empty and that bitcoin is not linked to Physical coin anymore. If we make undependable wallet linked to Physical coin, then is sort of useless, since no one can spend it.
1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Best performing cryptos of 2019,what have you played? on: December 27, 2019, 04:48:41 PM
Since the start of 2019, the crypto market has been on the receiving end of an insane amount of financial volatility.Recently the media listed some cryptocurrencies that have maintained a good financial status throughout the year, but not named Bitcoin.

They are ETH, EOS, BNB, BFT, XTZ, XNX, BCH, ATOM, LTC, BAT.

Do you agree this list or any other additions? Smiley

I dont think is that hard to check. And it is hard to be the best out of 1000 of coins, but Bitcoin is definitely very high and it is higher then any of the coins you listed.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube vs Crypto on: December 27, 2019, 04:23:28 PM
YouTube finally recognised that the recent Crypto Purge was a "mistake" but the damage is done, what do you have to say about this? I think the damage will get fixed in time because really YouTube has been a very useful platform for crypto

I dont see any damage. None of the youtube channels i am subscribed to changed any bit. Yes I am not subscribed to any pump groups.
1985  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin on: December 27, 2019, 04:00:45 PM
Would the collapse of a Ponzi scheme effect the price of Bitcoin?
Though a hypothesis that the collapse of the Chinese Plustoken, a classic Ponzi scheme similar to bitconnect or countless others affected the price of Bitcoin, this seem to be accceptible although it's unlikely to be the major factor but distribution of stolen funds correlate very well with market downturns.

When Bitcoin change owner on long term nothing changes. There is not any more Bitcoins in existence. So there is no reason price on longterm should be any different. It can be different on long term because of FUD.
1986  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Communist Croatian government on: December 27, 2019, 01:18:30 AM
HDZ party have nothing to do with communism. Also communism is not about parties. But just about one political group.

Psynthax?  LOL  You need to use different passwords.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion about HEX? on: December 27, 2019, 12:06:34 AM
Currently, 1 HEX = 1 Satoshi. Can it go up a few fold?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hex/

What is given for free is worth almost nothing. You usually dont go buy something others get for free do you?
1988  Economy / Economics / Re: ASIAN CRYPTO FRIENDLY COUNTRIES on: December 26, 2019, 11:38:56 PM
PlusToken scammers were caught in Vanuatu. I also remember Vanuatu was selling their citizenship's in BTC few years ago. Could be the most crypto friendly country in the world not just in all Asia.
1989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Outside bitcointalk project exposition, on: December 26, 2019, 06:54:48 PM
None of serious ICOs made a signature campaign on this forum. When you do one you sort of say we are not serious. Same with buying way to an exchange. You post that in first post. Serious project should not have problems getting capital. In times like this when central banks keep printing money and interest rates even go to negative in some countries is very easy to get investors.
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 26, 2019, 06:05:03 PM
This weekend will happen probably 3rd biggest Monero yearly event after the Konferenco and the Monero village at Defcon. Monero at the 36C3: Chaos Communication Congress in Leipzig Germany.

Here you can find more links about the history of the event and about three days schedule:  https://old.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/efuoxq/monero_at_the_36c3_chaos_communication_congress/

EDIT: When I look at schedule https://frab.riat.at/en/36C3/public/schedule  I am not sure if it is 3rd anymore.

1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 26, 2019, 02:48:12 PM
This is why:

Inflation even small adds over time. But we should not mix emission inflation or money supply and price inflation or even equals them.  If you increase money supply for 10% that dont mean value of money will lose 10%.

What is happening with money supply: https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/money-supply-m1

1992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 24, 2019, 06:02:13 PM
Shitcoiner, nobody, attention-whore, segwit2x traitor and all-round ugly girl has opinions:

1/ there is a very real possibility the price of bitcoin does not go up after halving. for the first time, there is a robust derivatives (futures, options) market for bitcoin. most firms looking to speculate on bitcoin will trade a derivative, not the underlying.

She is right at what she is posting latter. But the first post you quoted is really silly. Bitcoin price is so unstable that will be way different next week not just a year from now. The point she is right about is that future trading makes bitcoin more stable. So growths and declines will be less sharp. Both ways will be more stable not just the way up. And that is good, money need to be as stable as can be.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Much WOW?!?! on: December 24, 2019, 05:44:54 PM
I've recently read where the beginning of the New Year will also bring an Ethereum Hard Fork which will in turn increase inflation by a monumental 20%!!! What in terms of price and overall well being of Ether and it's future will this decision make? Any thoughts, comments and speculations are as usual, more than welcome. Thanks and a Happy Holidays.

Do you have a link to it. What was emission inflation so far and what will be new?

I can see from this graph that last year 5 million ETH was mined so that is around 4.5%  https://etherscan.io/chart/ethersupplygrowth

To all this we need to add that 72 million ETH was created in ICO. Only 37 million was mined so far in this 5 years.

1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest crypto fraud of all time on: December 24, 2019, 04:02:50 PM
I always think that bitconnect scam was the biggest in crypto space until i heard about one coin, a Ponzi scheme that defraud investors approximately $4 billion around the globe and one coin ceo have been missing since 2017, we really need to be very careful where w invest our hard earned cash, when a offer is too good to be true there is always more that met the eye

I remember people calling one coin the bitcoin killer, lol 😆 oh i hate centralized coins, the fact is there was no coin mined, no blockchain, nothing, I have never seen anything like it, any coin that claims to kill bitcoin is red flag lol,

One coin was a year before then bitconect. One coin organisers are being trailed now, that means Bitconect organisers will get trailed next year. Law works slow. MtGox was trailed only last year I believe and it happened in 2014.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 24, 2019, 03:24:49 PM
When comparing Bitcoin and Monero and adding argument of a emission bug is very silly. Emission bug was abused in Bitcoin but never in Monero. Yes there is same chance it happens in both. But fact is it was a abused only in Bitcoin and had to be forked.

As for the tail emission...  It's fine.  That's like less than a percent of total XMR in circulation...?

Yes the tail emission is 0.7% yearly and then slowly decreasing over years.

In general emissions of Bitcoin and Monero are almost identical in our lifetime. Our grand grand grand kids will maybe have 2 Monero for every Bitcoin. v
1997  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does this mean for BTC is stock market is entering recession again? on: December 24, 2019, 02:58:30 PM
As many already replied, bitcoin will crash together with stocks and Gold. But Bitcoin and Gold will recover fast and then even start growing. Stocks will stay low for a year  or more.  I believe as late this recession comes better will be or Bitcoin. Since bitcoin needs time to make him stronger.  Everyday that passes, there are more and more chances there will be no recession in 2020.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: fundraising question on: December 23, 2019, 01:21:31 PM
Could and ICO be run like a fundraiser ?
Tokens could be used to buy product at awesome discount price waay below market.
Is that something that can be done ?

When you make such a foundraiser. What is the point to have a decentralised database?  You simply make a list of people and wen you make your product ship it to them.  Having blockchain token is just more expensive database and more work.
1999  Economy / Speculation / Re: Plustoken owners may be driving down the price of bitcoin - Chainanalysis blog on: December 23, 2019, 12:58:34 PM
China based plus token is now a widely known scam. It is estimated that they have stolen cryptos worth $2 Billion USD. While six people was arrested by China Police, but their funds are still on the move with extensive use of mixers. Read the full analysis below,

When someone steal someones Bitcoin nothing really change monetary.  There is still same amount of supply. Same amount of Bitcoin in existence.  Just some part have different owner. Since Bitcoin have transparent ledger and those stolen Bitcoins can easily be traced, that makes them way less liquid and that should reduce supply. So price should be higher and now lower.
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are privacy coins in a decentralized industry? on: December 23, 2019, 12:06:06 PM
Privacy coins are a pretty controversial topic in the cryptocurrency industry.

They are not really. People mainly dont care about them. But who are those people?  People that bought Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies just t get rich fast.  People that develop economy for cryptocurrencies or people that use cryptocurrencies are fully aware what are dangers of using transparent ledger cryptocurrencies. It is simple as that. Noting controversial at all.
