1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting an NFT just got easy, didn't it? on: April 16, 2022, 11:46:18 AM
If ever I will trust a bot to participate in free stuff and possibly give out information to anyone who is asking, maybe I would just get a notification bot and still vet the project on what it could be. See if it is a good project and have some kind of filtering out of all the possible scams out there or something.

Sketchy video and with all the comments. Be careful and vigilant, everyone.

1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Ethereum merge on: April 15, 2022, 08:19:59 AM
I think the overall outlook of ETH would be better if it happens already, the upgrade from PoW to PoS would be greater and the energy consumption would really change and would make it ideal to be used in terms of the consumption of itself. Whether it's buggy or not, it's still a good upgrade though. A lot of people would benefit from it as well.
1984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic options trading course on: April 15, 2022, 07:10:46 AM
So betting in a longer-term contract using options is good? Is that what you mean? I think that's one way of taking advantage of your capital and the money you have made more than you have. If you are going to HODL and expect Bitcoin to increase in price in the long term, why not do it with an advantage. I like how you are thinking about it as well.

Is insights.deribit quite new? The Telegram group only consisted of 160+ members when I joined. I'm going to interact with some of them and see their view on the courses etc.
1985  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why beginners should pay attention to their privacy on: April 13, 2022, 03:55:09 PM
It's not just for beginners TBH, but also for everyone that cares about their information. It's not good that it's going to be used for marketing purposes or any other that could give harm towards anything.

It's really an eye-opener to have watched that latest video with John Oliver because he explains it clearly and has humor so that it doesn't get boring. The experiment is what makes me keep thinking about it about making it so specific that you can really pinpoint and know people's information or interests with targeted ads. That's just scary IMO that it's possible.

I do hope that the government, not just with the warrants and buying of data to get information about suspects or something, it's the information that people can get, like in the example where the rental history of the person can be exploited. So maybe if the congress' privacy is at risk, would the laws with that be already past as fast as the video act?

Thanks for the helpful links, o_e_l_e_o that you provided as well, it really helps a lot with all the open-source types of software and tools that we can use.

1986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this also your strategy to avoid hitting your stop loss early? on: April 13, 2022, 08:14:32 AM
Is Gunbot using API to trade? What’s the difference between Binance Grid Trading strategy to Gunbot? I know Gunbot for a long time but I never try to use it because I don’t how to use an API or the technicalities of it.  Currently doing Grid trading on Binance since it has Neutral, Long and Short position feature that is effective for DCA trading/scalping.
Yes it uses API to trade. Gunbot has grid strategy as well, you can see my video here. The differences between the two is that you could automate everything to how much is going to be calculated per trade and not needing to know which direction you should pick because it will be determined by indicators already.

It will be easy to setup the APIs to trade. If you purchase Gunbot, you would be automatically enrolled to Gunbot school where you would learn everything about it. It's not that complicated and I would be willing to assist you if you want.
1987  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: April 13, 2022, 07:19:45 AM
There's nothing finite when it comes to innovation. If there's something better upcoming, whatever it will be, it can overcome and show that they deserve to be the one being adopted and used by people, but until then, it's still crypto who has the upper hand. With that, I mean Bitcoin. It has changed so many financial impacts on the economy, and many people have changed lives because of it for the better.

So it may not be right away, but innovation always has room for the world.
1988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this also your strategy to avoid hitting your stop loss early? on: April 13, 2022, 06:47:08 AM
Yes of course. I think you have the right idea to have a lower setting of leverage and have it far away from your liquidation limit. Because if you would be able to do that then you should be able to handle a couple more trades when you are against the thread. You can average your entry price as long as your account can handle it in the right direction. DCA-ing it is going to be okay and that's one of my strategies as well that I use automatically.

It's such a pain to do it manually that's why I use a trading bot like Gunbot. It just makes my life easier and it continues to trade for me 24/7.
1989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does whitelisting work for NFT projects? on: April 13, 2022, 05:59:45 AM
If you want to get a discounted price of the NFT or get in before anyone else, it's like getting ahead of everyone with the project. You can have a higher chance of profiting if you get in it that way. From what I have seen and experienced, you have to do tasks like something below to be qualified.
  • You have to follow social media accounts
  • Retweet posts
  • Putting contact information (so they can follow up on you or something)

Something related to the above could get you in a whitelist, and sometimes it's even given as a raffle or something. I'm not sure how you can secure a spot like that, but I noticed with all the NFT projects that I have seen.
1990  Other / Meta / Re: Which forum to post Guides/tips about bitcoin? on: April 13, 2022, 04:45:58 AM
Whether or not you post it in the right section, you could always move your topic to a specific sub-forum where it's more fitting. Maybe someone would report that current post of yours that it's fitting to Beginners and Help Bitcoin Discussion, or Wallet Software.

I think when it's more technical, you should post it in the Development and Discussion or Wallet Software. But if it's just a general guide, the Bitcoin discussion, or Beginners and Help section would be okay.
1991  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Best website to get all the news about blockchain on: April 12, 2022, 12:21:28 PM
I like how it's summarized and puts everything on the front page. I noticed that I hope that the top gainers are clickable, like what the coin resources are and how it would lead me to all too relevant pages about the specific coin, maybe in CMC or something.

Do you have plans on creating an app as well?
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alternative smart contract platform is best? on: April 12, 2022, 05:23:42 AM
I think Solana has been making rounds for a while, knowing that it can be one of the coins that could overtake Ethereum, but I think it wouldn't happen as much because there are also improvements in the ETH network. It does seem too saturated, but I think there could still be a chance to grow with any other coin because you can never expect less with innovations being created every day.

Giving people the best way to earn could be vital to having the best innovative contract platform. That could benefit everyone or something like that.
1993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without banking bitcoins will be work on: April 12, 2022, 04:51:09 AM
Just like what Mbitr said, you don't need a bank to really operate or exchange Bitcoin. If there is someone that agrees to exchange at a specific rate with you, then you could exchange with that. I think the one thing you are worried about is the transferring of the fiat that's why banks are still involved. If that's the case, there's nothing to be worried about because banking is not going anywhere.
1994  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NO RISK, NO REWARD on: April 12, 2022, 04:13:02 AM
Maybe the way he wanted to earn the past few years ago was not the right way to earn, like how they plan to make it, maybe like doublers or something that makes it feel like you will profit a lot without doing anything much.

But that's just the problem when getting into cryptocurrencies without much knowledge or learning what you could do with it in general. Imagine being able to transfer to anyone in the world, and you only need a string of texts/numbers, and you would be able to do it P2P, with no middlemen. I started to understand that this would revolutionize financing, and it did.

So with that in mind, you would be able to see its as a "non-scam" thing; it's the people who have that "intent" on scamming people with their hard-earned money. It's not because of the technology, but because of the people using it for evil things.

When you are researching a thing and make sure that it's from credible sources, you will be able to capitalize on what is in front of you.
1995  Economy / Economics / Re: What about the role of giving in personal finance? on: April 11, 2022, 03:19:13 PM
I agree with what Dave Ramsey said that there's always a difference between generosity and just hoarding your money. It's also up to luck because you can never control what would happen to you, but I guess it's good karma. No matter what you believe in, it's always going to be a positive impact if you were to give out your blessings.

A personal view on it, I would like to be more generous and then prosper the right way. Not that because I have money, then I'm already prosperous. It's not always like that. If you are happy, you will be able to be successful because you have helped someone.
1996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is going on ? In crypto ? on: April 11, 2022, 06:09:48 AM
There's no asset that continually grows every day, it's usually in time before it shows its growth and becomes the asset that you want it to be (a big IF) if the market or the people collectively decides on that. There would always be traps that you might not expect because of what could happen during times like this especially if  there are a lot of people getting more involved everyday.

Are you talking about a burning mechanism type of thing?
1997  Other / Meta / Re: Spam triggered by a keyword? on: April 09, 2022, 10:19:23 PM
Would it be beneficial to test it out again? Like creating a thread with that specific keyword or brand name in the post?

Maybe there would be more farmed accounts or something related to that when there's a new post.
1998  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 08, 2022, 10:09:01 AM
It depends on your intentions of playing. Whether you would like to do the following
  • Play with your luck
  • Play with your knowledge

Luckily, you can just play with slots and other games that provide chances to multiply your bet.
For knowledge, you can use the knowledge you can get in sports and determine who the winner in the match is.

This would always be dependent on what you are going to do and where you are confident.
1999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A strange noise coming from my power supply on: April 08, 2022, 09:02:11 AM
Maybe the fan is the one that is causing the noise? Or is it a buzz that makes it feel like an electrical issue?

Maybe you can post a video recording of it so we can understand it better.
2000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC fighters will get their bonus pay by Bitcoin on: April 08, 2022, 02:34:25 AM
In this article, I saw that they have an opportunity to be paid in crypto. I'm not sure how it will affect the overall market but having more people aware that there is a cryptocurrency and more people are going to be exposed to it. Maybe more and more people would be accepting cryptocurrencies as a whole. I doubt people would be opting out of it because it's a great opportunity since it's just their bonus.

Maybe they can wholly accept their cash prize in cryptocurrency rather than just USD in some time.
