21  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: June 17, 2024, 03:46:40 PM
yes, you are correct betwrong
the amount of money a casino spends on promotions is not the best factor to consider to decide if it is reliable or not and if it can be trusted.
better to consider other things like reviews, TVL, if it is regulated or not, if users can withdraw or always have problems with it...
these things.
Scam teams if succeed with their scams, can spend big budget for promotions. I believe that many people in cryptocurrency communities, knew about FTX and Alameda Research scams and their collapses in 2022, 2 years ago.

They did stupid things, scammed investors and donated massive funds to politicians and political parties. They advertised everywhere but we saw how they ended their scams.

I agree with you both on this view but Duelbits have their strong business over years and it's unfair and inaccurate to worry similar things like FTX and Alameda Research here.

In Duelbits, I trust.

Recent months, people hope that FTX will make its second life, "Let's make FTX great again" is hope of many people but I don't know how the new FTX team will make it.

FTX wasn't a pre-planned scam but an accidental one, Sam and the other crazy kids got too excited and unfortunately had no morals to make it right, but the thing is that they were greedy and didn't care about the long term future so they blew up everything, too bad but it's true.

it's really different with other businneses
that was a one in a million case...
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: June 17, 2024, 03:36:40 PM
I believe in gambling, no one is entitled to risk more whether rich or poor but because most persons find themselves in bad condition and also the world we are into now they believe that or they see the poor as people that are not suppose to partake in anything and to an extent they are not that recognize in some certain things. Being rich doesn't mean one should risk more or being poor doesn't mean one should risk less perhaps whatsoever one feel is good to risk he or she should go ahead whether rich or poor we are all human being.

True, a poor person might be able to control themselves and not gamble all their money, whereas a rich person could go all in and lose it all in a single night.

There is always the possibility that a person can end up with nothing, independent of how much they started with.

At the same time, there is always the possibility to simply enjoy a nice time in the casino with a set amount of money.

that's true
gambling is one of the few things that will expose you to the risk of ruin
and one should always avoid the risk of ruin no matter what
so... better to either take good care of the time and money you spend on it or simply avoid it completely.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 17, 2024, 03:26:40 PM
Any gambling or bookmaking site contains a warning that, when betting, players should not rely on the idea that the game will solve all their financial problems. However, seeing people who understand this warning differently, you can’t help but wonder whether people know how to read and generally think logically. Everyone who has been a winner in the past has consistently experienced financial losses. And as history shows, there are much more losses. Therefore, thoughts about making money may arise in people who are not entirely adequate and cannot correctly perceive reality.

don't you think these would end up like these warns on cigarrete packs? I mean, yes you can tell people that the thing will kill you and give you cancer but sometimes your urges are stronger than you and you simply can't resist anyways...
crazy but true
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: June 17, 2024, 03:21:38 PM
This should be an important lesson, because being too active is also not a good thing, which will waste valuable time and will alienate us from our environment if we gamble too much.
Too much of everything will always give us a taste of its negativity. And that's why being too much active in gambling will might lead you to some bad experience.

If we gamble too much and we feel the urge is different this time. You know where it is going and that's becoming addict in gambling.

But before that happens, you know that you will want to stop it and you need to have that willpower for yourself to stop whatever initiatives you do.

Op's experience doesn't differ from how humans feel whenever they consistently indulge in a specific activity. We'll definitely get tired and wouldn't perform adequately well, compared to how we work when energized, after days of complete rest. However, it's nice he's watching his habit and figuring out the right move. Talking to a community is the best choice he's made and it would help the player to receive varieties of ideas regarding his gambling habit. Personally, few days of rest solve my fatigue problem. Gamblers should go for vacations to replenish the energy which they've exhausted.

whatever you do with consistency is a thing you must be alert about and keep your attention on it
it can make you or break you
your actions will come from your thoughts so if you're not aware about your thoughts you end up in a bad situation
gambling is a delicate thing imo because it can be too risky.

OP post is the old saying: "good profit is realized profit" since unrealized profits can vanish at any point in time.
you can get lost in the thrill of making money specially if you're exposed to serial wins over and over again
but if you're risking it all than it takes only one bad decision
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 14, 2024, 08:27:46 PM
Some take gambling as a part of entertainment and some take gambling as a source of income, it mainly depends on the financial status of the person or the gambler. If the gambler is in a good financial situation and does not have to depend on gambling income or whose financial situation does not change after losing a gambling bet, there should be no problem if the gambler mainly accepts gambling as part of entertainment. On the other hand, gamblers whose families are financially poor depend on gambling money, and gamblers from families who rely on gambling as one of their main sources of income.
Gambling is used as a source of income by those who have not yet suffered major losses from gambling. using gambling as fun is the work of a clever person. Gambling is an addictive game of luck. So, the more time one spends on it, the more likely one is to become addicted to gambling. no one can earn a fixed amount of money at a given time from gambling in any way as from one's job or business. so no one can live a normal life with the money earned from gambling.  Both loss and win are gambling, but here the loss is more than the gain.

you can have a major loss and stay in the game if you do proper risk management
the thing is most people don't do it
isn't it crazy that some of the simple things in life are so hard to do?

it is.

''Comecei X coisa'''
''Consegue finalizar x coisa''

Gambling is all about having fun and there is nothing there to harm us, but many have taken this for granted in such a way that it has influence the way of their behaviors and they got addicted into it and also do beyond what is expected of them with gambling, this should be discouraged and we should know that aside fun, we should see gambling as nothing with a bad intention on us except we choose to have it that way.

oh Doan I don't think so
gambling is not only about having fun, lots of people approach it as a way to make money and many get hooked in the way

the harm is addiction

and we shouldn't take this lightly
maybe you're a lucky one that has good control of your power of will and have good mind body balance so you won't fall for addictions
the thing is... not everyone is like that
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: June 13, 2024, 04:25:07 PM
As long as gambling is concerned is not really good for the poor people's to take too much risk why because once you use the small that you have and risky in the gambling bet office you we see that it we make you feel very bad because you didn't have much money, however that's why is always adviceble for the poor people's to always gamble what they can afford to lose.

Of course the Rich people's are the ones that is supposed to take risk in gambling because even if they lose they can't feel it too much because the money is always there for them.

That's their edge in terms of finances but also can be their big risk as if they become out of control they might lose everything including the main source of their finances, it's not impossible for anyone to get addicted and missmanage their finances, unlike with poor if they already lose everything they will just wait for another time when they've got some money, with rich gamblers if they become addicted they can rik everything and the result might be unacceptable since they will bring it all and possible to keep pushing and trying to recover whatever they've lost ending them up in losing everything.

it's normal for people to be careless about their finances, unfortunately.
crazy thing

some lucky costumers are useful for the casino to use it as a way to attract even more costumers
in the end we know that the house will always win
no way to escape that
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 13, 2024, 04:17:56 PM
I was gambling today online since their is strike no work, so decided to take all my day to place a bet and this thought comes to my mind. That is it how the jobless men do gamble all day with the little money they've, because this is insane to me but to those people who gamble as the means of their income it's terrible. I rememberd a friend of mine back in the days in school all he does was to gamble all day not going to class, and the gambling favors him alot any time he comes to the hostels he do comes back with a big bag of foods. But that was back then his parents was sending him money, but right now with the economy situation in some countries someone will haven a little money meanwhile he/she have gone alot stress to get the money and he/she will tries to increase the money by gambling. Everyday he/she continues like this hmmm it's bad.

I said let me express my feelings towards this to forum gambling discussion, if their are people who are living in this kind of lifestyle. And what will be your opinion towards the people living in this kind of lifestyle everyday of their life's?

in my opinion it's not worth to have gambling as your main source of income
better to dedicate to other matters than that
but people are different from each other so some will be willing to take the risk and it probably pays off for some people.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: June 13, 2024, 03:49:35 PM
Action moves the needle. You can think all you want, but if you never take those thoughts into action they stay exactly that, trapped inside your head! Unfortunately this isn't exactly bringing the desired outcome one would wish to have with gambling, I think the trick is to actually believe that you will win! There was this study done that focusing on an object changes the circumstances of that object, simply because it is being watched! I found it fascinating- I will try to find this study and link it. As this relates to gambling I wonder what studies have been done on gambling and luck?

I haven't seen many studies on gambling and luck but would luck to read a bit more about it
gambling, luck and positive vs negative thinking would be really interesting to see too

maybe somebody else in the forum can help on that?

It takes 2GB of RAM and 60GB of storage to simulate ~300 neurons.

If we scale that linearly (eew) to other organisms:

Fruit Fly (~100K neurons):
0.7 TB of RAM
20 TB of storage

Mouse (~75M neurons):
500 TB of RAM
14,900 TB of storage

Human (~86B neurons):
570,000 TB of RAM
17 million TB of storage

maquininha pesada

37  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: June 12, 2024, 04:28:44 PM
This very basic. You can't help a beginner person avoid becoming addicted to gambling if they can't even help themselves avoid gambling. Personal desire and discipline are important for a person to avoid gambling addiction. Eventhough many of us can offer support or help the decision and action must come from the person themselves. (Another topic about gambling addiction 😕) I'm having difficulties to understand OP that's why I only answered the title thread. lol

This is very basic: you can't.

I mean, if somebody really want to gamble they'll find a way
if they can't control their urges they'd get addicted
only way would be casinos limiting user time but this goes completely against their incentives so it's not happening.

39  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: June 12, 2024, 04:02:44 PM
To me sometimes I do notice that the rich gamble more than the average people and the numbers of the rich that gamble is more than the numbers that does not gamble to me that is just what I feel in some countries because rich people gamble a lot because they are the one that have the money to gamble multiple times even when they are experiencing a lot of lost they still gamble but many people think that the rich doesn't gamble that much because they already have money that is not how it really work, because everyone that is rich or lose one to make more money and add more profit to themselves and add more money to what they are already making so I just feel like they still gamble no matter what and the gamble in a condition that you may not even believe sometimes rich are very addicted in gambling that is one thing I observe so that makes them can go more and more.

I think this is true because rich people will end up having more disposable income
if a person has more basic needs to fullfill like food and shelter it's a really small percentage that will end up giving in to gambling
most will try to get their basic needs sorted out first.
40  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: June 12, 2024, 03:52:41 PM
Based on personal experience, I can say that it is always observed that when you are losing constantly, you should stop right there because your luck isn't working and the games aren't paying, and come back later to gamble with the same balance and you might see a difference. If you are losing again the second time, stop again and come back later, in one of these times, you will see that you are winning now, and any game you play will give you wins.

I don't say this works all the time because at the end of the day, it's gambling, but I have observed that this method mostly works and you wouldn't lose everything in one go because if you are losing and you continue playing, you will lose all your balance in a single session and won't recover anything.
If any gambler can stop gambling in this situation then the person is not addicted and it can be considered a self-control method and the person can be a winner in the long run. And I think the person should be considered as an ideal gambler.
Everyone gets excited when it comes to gambling.  You will notice that when gambling you don't lose everything very quickly, sometimes you win even with a lot of risk.  This is how gambling sites fool you.  Convince you that you can get a lot out of gambling if you try. By doing such tricks they make the users addicted to gambling and gradually they start gambling but cannot quit gambling.  This is called gambling addiction
Only a gambler gets excited when he's gambling and in most cases you won't be given an opportunity to win even 1 time before you start losing your money.  However every days are not the same because some days you win and some days you lose. That is why it's not a good way to make money. Most times when a new gambler picks a game he will win because it's just like they are making his or her attends to be in gamble so that next time the person will come and gamble, but when the person continues to gamble that's when he will know that gamble is a thing a gambler lose and win.

return to the mean is real
if you are winning a lot math will always be on the side of the house and at some point you'll start to lose
the key is knowing when to stop and walking away after big wins
