683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: October 16, 2023, 03:09:19 PM
snip
1. always set a budget for playing slots and stick to it. do not chase losses or try to win back what you have lost by playing more.
2. if a slot machine does not hit in 7-10 spins, consider trying a different machine. this can help you avoid getting stuck on a losing streak and losing more money.
3. if you have been playing a slot machine for 50 spins and have not gotten any free spins or big wins, consider switching to a different machine.
this can help you avoid wasting money on a machine that is unlikely to pay out.
4. avoid playing slots from Pragmatic and Gamomat as they tend to have low payout percentages and are not as likely to result in big wins.
5. be careful when playing slots from Belatra and Spinomenal as they can be unpredictable and may not always pay out as expected.
6. if you do hit a big win, consider tipping any nearby players who may have been unlucky or busting. This can help spread good karma and keep the atmosphere positive.
7. avoid getting "slot psychosis" where you get stuck on one machine for too long. remember that slots are based on random chance and there is no guaranteed way to win.
so, take breaks, switch machines and remember to have fun!
8. first check the RTP (reward to player) and RTP should between 96%-100%
Thank you OP, the information you provide is very useful, i have also heard from several traditional slot players that playing on just one slot machine will only make us lose more, not more wins, some traditional casino slot machines are designed not to lose.  i also tried playing pragmatic slot games several times and the result was that my winnings were very low (this is the main reason why i haven't played slots anymore in the last few years), regarding giving a little tip to losing players when we win is good advice, ready know that the small amount of money you give can make him return the capital he has lost.

that's really interesting with the tips and all
how does RTP works? is it usually an information that is available for everyone to check? how to access it?

it's the first time I hear about reward to player %
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: October 15, 2023, 10:33:01 PM

some people will get addicted faster to some things than other people (and other things)
if an individual is really sensitive to addictions the best thing to do it probably to just stay away of this things and focus on what brings him/her good experiences and feelings in the world

easier said than done sometimes but necessary.
That's very true because each person does not have good self-control, so many people will become addicted to gambling faster than others. They must really learn self-control so that they don't become addicted to gambling and won't be too interested in continuing to gamble, especially if they have won previously.

what do you think is the solution to get help to these people?
are you more into the individualistic side with a "too each their own" approach where there's some kind of natural selection and some will fatally lose anyway or do you take a more collectivist approach thinking that we should take care of all humans and get the person some support and network if they don't have the means to help themselves?

really curious on these possible points of view

The competition became more tighter to many good artist show some skills and became more competitive since they see a lot of artist now is improving .
HAHA!! Exactly what I thought right now.

Other members who have always participated in monthly art contests, especially in the digital category, have improved a LOT! Seriously, they've become more meticulous, adding intricate details to their artworks. The story of their concept has improved, as well as their choice of colors and the proportionality of Mr. Roo and other fancy add-on characters!

It makes me wonder how I can keep up with these people when I get busy with my day job. You see, creating artworks during school hours is much easier than in the office.

That the reason why its hard to speculate on who will win each round since artist became more better. Unlike before that its little like we have idea on who might gonna win this round since all of the art you submit on the contest is really a winning piece. But now to many people choose to upgrade their skills and became more competitive that's why for sure it gives headache for the judges of this contest to select on who will be the winners of the current round.

For so many time you have been declared as a winner in roobet art contest for sure you have an idea on how to deal with those competitive guys and you need to watch their arts submitted so that you can do a counter action and create good piece than them. I know that its not hard for you can keep up with those guys since I'm sure that your talent to create good art is already gives you huge advantage and you just need time to think about good concept on your next art piece.

imagine people creating prediction markets on polymarket or something like that to bet on who would be the winner?
probably not the best idea since it could affect judges decisions and influence them
but definitely a curious thing to think about.
could happen.

outra coisa as memecoins

687  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: October 15, 2023, 09:59:34 PM
The problem will be resolved if the source of the problem is clear from the duelbits side. Duelbits is not a casino that was born yesterday. Building trust with a good reputation is not an easy job and takes a long time. Duelbits has done well from the start until Duelbits 3.0 was launched. The launch of 3.0 is a sign that duelbits will not stop in its commitment to maintaining and caring for everything it has done. Enjoy various new things.
Don't forget the giveaway provided.

Yes talking about the launch of 3.0, if Duelbits is reading this post then hoping that Duelbits will soon launch a party for the users on the occasion of Halloween. Maybe an artwork contest just like another casino or maybe something else or unique that Duelbits has to offer us. There was one contest that I participated in a long back ago but it was then shut down and never came back. I think we also need to activate the games and rounds section one more time for the competition of “highest multiplier”. That would be fun to see in play.
Also I’m getting tired of reading the same thing about the peeps not getting their money or they complaining about identity verification. I think it’s best we divert to new topics such as contests. :-)

art contest
higher multipliers on the 31st
maybe some themed games for halloween (everybody loves pumpkins!)
are all cool things that I'd love to see on duelbits by the end of the month

regarding the scam accusations
maybe duelbits could create a costumer support topic here in the forum separate from this one but not sure if this would work

gracias pela oportunidade ladies and gentlemen.

Tongue

I agree with you, if at that time we win then the next step is to stop first and not place any more bets, because if we gamble again we will not necessarily win, on the contrary we will experience defeat. I like your statement "don't think that gambling is a way for people to quickly get rich" because gambling is luck and has been arranged or specifically designed to determine the outcome of winning or losing in gambling.

Of course, friends, if someone cannot control themselves in gambling then they must be prepared to bear all the risks, win a little and lose a lot, and immediately lose their money.
Stopping gambling must be done by gamblers who have been gambling for a while because by stopping gambling, they can calm themselves about the results they obtained previously and think about what they should do. If their previous results were losing, it might be a good time to stop gambling and leave the casino. And if their previous result was a loss, they also have to stop immediately because continuing to gamble will only trigger their emotions to increase and there will be thoughts of getting the next win.

For this reason, a person must be able to control himself during and after gambling to see that he has had enough gambling. That will prevent him from experiencing more losses and also prevent him from developing a gambling addiction.

some people will get addicted faster to some things than other people (and other things)
if an individual is really sensitive to addictions the best thing to do it probably to just stay away of this things and focus on what brings him/her good experiences and feelings in the world

691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: October 13, 2023, 05:39:48 PM

I'd say it depends, I saw this guy who did a model that removes all bias from decision, only uses data
and the model is overall profitable, I think he's up more than 70% in some months or something like that

so, there are ways to do it without emotion/human decisions.

That's what I thought. It's all about a perfectly written prompt, right? My failed experiments with AI predicting outcomes don't prove anything. This was only a first try and I didn't think of a good prompt that much, I just wrote the first thing that came to mind. Yes, AI was wrong 8 times out of 10, but the same AI helped me to win 22x of my bet

I think I will be experimenting more with it. Maybe AI plus with some human corrections is the answer.

what makes you think this wasn't just luck but something taht is replicable and you can implement in a profitable way over time?

congratulations on the win and I'd be really happy to lose 8 out of 10 if my 2 wins got me a huge multiplier like that, but remember this could have been just luck, like a complex looking RNG asnwer created by an advanced LLM, but still no different than throwing dice.

694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: October 12, 2023, 03:31:40 PM
yes Shamm
I think chess is also a lot about understanding the attack and defense lines on the board and knowing what is the position you want to arrive at or you want your enemy to be

it's a cool game
even though life is more like poker than like chess, I do enjoy playing it
.chess is like a puzzle cause you need to watch  every move of your opponent in order to analyze the possible sulution of that  play. And before you can solve the puzzle and win the match you need to defense first in order to have the momentum cause once you are not aware of every trap of your opponent theres a chance that you will be loss. So chess is very hard game even though your physical body are only setting on the chair but your mind  takes all tye pressure.

oh, yes, I did some light chess championships with 1 hour games (30 minutes for each) and in the end I was more tired than if I was dancing for 2 hours
a different kind of tired, not so much physical but in a way that your mind makes your body tired of so much time concentrating.

Gambling, gambling!!!

Eu gosto da beginners and help, e as duas technical discussion.

~snip~
there are card games like blackjack, poker, so forth and so on
I think these are the only hope for those who want to have an edge

and on online casinos there's sports betting, you can probably have an edge with these too.

Yeah, those games are as close to parity to the casino as possible, but still, there is an edge for the casino, even if it's a small one it will make a difference.

Sports betting might eventually show sometimes an advantageous bet for the skilled and knowledgeable gambler, but it will probably only work from time to time, not in reliable way for the long term.

for sports betting I've seen some profitable stories that sounds more convincing than slots where it's more mathematical and odds are always against you

sports are more dynamic
but still quite hard and stressfull market, probably better to earn your bread doing other things.

699  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 11, 2023, 11:13:47 AM
I think for most games the dopamine hit will determine how much people keep on playing or not
if it's really addictive, has intermittent rewards and is a bit unpredictable without being too hard it has some of the important ingredients to hook people
besides crash which other games do you think have it too?

Slots have it too especially when the gambler hits the bonus round and the bonus round delivers, the gambler would have been highly excited on how high would be the result of the bonus games is.  Aside from that slots also have the feature of being unpredictable, with different variations of rewards ranging from nothing to massive wins that keep people in playing the game.

Well, I can't deny that things are about making the best game that Determines the Greatest flow of dopamine, if it is the crash and the Tragedy , at one point the Crash can be One of the games that best have Additivity, because a person Betting 4x and Getting out is Enoug , and if You have Bet an Amount like 10usd or More , then what you win is Enough. On the other Hand , trams are Games that will always give us the best Way to have the best Environment of this , only that Things with Slots you have to know how to play.

When a person Plays Slot Machines , they May like one of the More Combinations and earn some money,  so this makes the person playing feel more attracted and start playing more by putting more money into it, which can sometimes he has a very Strong losing streak, in view of This if the Player decides to put in more money and wins, he can win free spins , with More or Not it is 20 or 30 free Spins, a player is happy, because he knows that in those Spins the Illusion that I Can win More , I have won with little money, with less than 10usd more than 400usd , But of course later it turned out that I couldn't get it because over time that casino became a lie , a Scam , Among other Things , but The truth is , in my personal opinion, these turns go Away very Quickly because the emotion is increasingly stronger, and by doing so the Amount of money that is Produced is a Lot.

In this order of Ideas, I would say that now the slot machines do this effect better, why? When compared to poker lovers, casinos have Determined for some Time that people Prefer Poker much more than poker itself, where poker is, it would be Better for casinos to have poker as the best option to win. I am one of the people who will always be Able to Generate many more things related to casinos, for that reason it is because in casinos , as a Player , you must take care of your Money.

some say that the most addicting drugs are the ones that you feel the hit closer to the moment you take it
hit > reward pathway is shorter
I wonder if this happens to games too and I'd guess that this it probably true.

what do you think?

I believe that gambling addiction is something different from drug and alcohol addiction. for example, a person creates an account on Roobet.com and plays any game that is on Roobet.com and that person loses money, so that person starts to look at Roobet.com as an enemy that he needs to beat, that person who lost money starts to look at Roobet.com as an opponent who took all his money and for that reason he needs to put more money into Roobet.com and play the same game to beat Roobet.com, and when that person loses more money again he will be angry with Roobet.com and his anger against Roobet.com will start to affect him very psychologically, the person will not sleep well, the person will not eat well, the person will not focus on anything in real life

Even at work, the person will not be focused, the person will even start not paying attention to their family and the responsibilities they have at home, all the person will be thinking about is that they need money and strategy to beat Roobet.com. The gambling addict looks at the casino and the game he lost as a great enemy that he needs to overcome to recover the money he lost. while the drug addict needs drugs to have pleasure for a few minutes, this for him is a way to escape the problems of the real world

for alcohol addicts it is also the same thing with drug addicts, alcohol addicts drink a lot of alcohol so that many hours they are unaware of the problems in the real world, and that is why many people who are addicted to alcohol There are problems in the real world that they cannot solve and they use alcohol to forget about these problems. Drug and alcohol addiction harms mental and physical health and is difficult to cure completely without leaving some type of sequelae. while gambling addiction causes consequences on the psychological side only

it depends because you can also get addicted to winning
let's say you start playing and got +50% in some games or bets, after 3 days
you calculate and think "woah, this could be enough for me to live out of it"
you start to bet more
no risk management at all
you win 1 more
2 more
3 more
than loose everything

you say you'll take a break but deposit more on the next days

the thing goes on and you don't even track deposits
sometimes you win, sometimes you lose
you probably lose more than win but you don't keep track so you don't know

it gives you a thrill, some emotions that maybe you don't have from day to day
dopamine

I could bet many users are like that.

Gambling is very addictive but don't know why people don't notice quickly. It will start gradually before progressing to something you can't handle. Someone addictive to gambling can go to any lent in order to achieve his aim either by using all his saved money, school fees, and other Money kept for necessary things.

I thank God for removing the addictiveness of gambling in me, I remember those days I used all my money to gamble to the extent I have to use my school fees and at the end it was a sad story (I lost the game with just one cutting it)

The best advice is to go far away from gambling, once you are into it you can't have money to do other things except gambling. Though some people make money out of it but only few,

most addictions start slow like that and need at least some months to reach a serious problem grade
it's not something overnight
if you have a support network with friends and family maybe someone can notice or you can share if a thing starts to get out of control too
