I don't know if there is a clear answer to this in the literature, but at least to me, it seems like it's a bit of both. On one hand we just get random thoughts all the time, but on the other hand, things that you have paid attention to in the past tend to appear in your thoughts as well. I'm sure advertisers would know the answer to this, because they pay a lot of money to be in the minds of the people. not sure if there's consensus regarding this topics but it's a really interesting one, I'd say it's the most interesting topic I've ever talked about here on the gambling boards of bitcointalk. I think it's a two way road too with our attention influencing our thoughts but random things happening as well and we "deciding" to stick with them or let them go. attention is powerful, for sure. |
