Did the raffle go off correctly? Cause right now the website is showing 1 address winning all three prizes with 69 tickets...

Less than 200 blocks (~13 hours) to go before the first raffle block with ~5500 in the pot right now!

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DOPECOIN : SMOKE EXCHANGE NEARING BETA LAUNCH on: March 28, 2018, 04:53:59 PM
I think Dopecoin should switch from Proof of Stake to Proof of Stoned. User adoption would Skyrocket and Dopecoin would make headlines all around the globe.
Why do I feel like that would lead to a bunch of errors on the blockchain Roll Eyes and the miners would keep taking snack breaks lol

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of Marijuana-themed Coins on: March 25, 2018, 06:04:47 PM
Dash is an interesting coin to watch for the cannabis industry as well.
Yeah I've heard quite a bit about how people think Dash is going to become a favorite of the marijuana industry, though a lot of that seems to come from the illegal drug trade rather than legal cannabis businesses. It's just not on this list because it doesn't have a marijuana theme and doesn't advertise itself as a cryptocurrency for marijuana (it just happens to be a coin that has a lot of features that are attractive to the industry).
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite ERC20 TOKENS ?? on: March 23, 2018, 05:17:40 PM
Honestly I have yet to find an ERC20 token that I actually feel good about. Every one I've encountered so far just feels like a cash grab that's trying to appeal to some random market that they don't actually intend to do anything with. I've never convinced myself to buy a token even though I buy altcoins all the time; I've only sold the tokens I've gotten through bounties/airdrops.

Weekly Update

Total market cap change: Down 11%

Top 5 changes: DopeCoin (DOPE) moves +1 to #4, Tokes (TKS) moves -1 to #5

Development changes: None

The crypto market has seemingly reverted to a bearish trend after some nice steady growth, but that doesn't mean bad news for every marijuana coin. DopeCoin (DOPE) and HempCoin (THC) managed to post gains over the week, and Tokes (TKS) managed to maintain the market position it recently gained. A few of the smallest coins have been heavily affected by BTC's volatility though with some market caps dropping below $100,000. Currently only 2 of the coins out of the 16 listed don't contribute to the total market cap (Bongger and BlazerCoin), but a couple more could be joining them if things don't improve soon.

News and development status will be updated this weekend.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] FreelancerCoin [LAN] A blockchain freelancing platform on: March 17, 2018, 12:47:54 AM
If they will get listed on couple of big exchanges and  John McAfee will make some positive tweets we should see pump. What do you think?
I think that MсAfee will not change anything, since many have already realized that he will propanit and toilet paper for a couple of cues ...

why John McAfee make some positive tweets about FreelancerCoin ,he is an advisor of  this project  ?

Can anyone please copy and paste his tweet? I got curious, tried to track his twitter, but I can't find any about LAN. I stopped at February 8th, though

Febraury 8th is when FreelancerCoin announced that McAfee would be coming on board as an adviser (link to their tweet). The two tweets about LAN I've been able to find on McAfee's twitter are both from February 1st:

Freelancers are 35% of the workforce. http://WWW.FREELANCERCOIN.IO  removes middlemen for professional mourners, psychics, ethical hackers, ghost writers, professional apologizers, sperm donors and thousands of freelancers. Partnered with METTL and soon with Google. A sound buy.

As you can see, neither tweet from McAfee indicates that he intends to continue working with FreelancerCoin. At this point I'm ready to assume they paid him for a shoutout.

And again, nothing at all from an official Google source to indicate that any kind of "partnership" exists. Just what the LAN team has told us (which is pretty sparse on details).

Recently I heard about Budoo, something like that, can't remember that properly, but a point is that they have application. What do you think?
You may be referring to Budbo, which I have linked near the bottom of the main post in the "On the Radar" section. Personally I haven't done much research into their project in particular, but based on a quick glance at what they've posted it seems like they're going for the same thing a few of the other more established coins are already doing. DOPE, THC, TKS, and GRWI all have similar features and goals, so it's up to you to decide which team you trust the most.

Weekly Update

Total market cap change: Up 3%

Top 5 changes: DopeCoin (DOPE) moves -1 to #5, Tokes (TKS) moves in to #4, CannabisCoin (CANN) moves out of the top 5

Development changes: None

Finally back in the green! As of this writing, BTC looks to be starting to rebound after a few days of dropping and dragging all alts down with it. Some of the smaller coins on this list managed to stay steady or post nice gains during the drop, while a couple of the biggest coins continued to fall fairly significantly. Tokes has re-established itself as a top 5 marijuana coin fairly convincingly by launching in to the #4 spot over the past week. Now we'll have to wait and see how each coin continues to perform if BTC's upward trend continues.

I'm behind on updating news, will do my best to get to it ASAP!
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] FreelancerCoin [LAN] A blockchain freelancing platform on: March 14, 2018, 03:12:31 PM
Starting to get some pretty serious doubts about this project and their claims... First of all it's pretty concerning that Google has announced today that they will be blacklisting ICO/crypto ad content. Decisions like this are not made in a short period of time, so it makes me wonder why they'd approach a token team to help with their ICO. In fact, all we have to support this claim is the graphic in this ANN thread. I've seen nothing from an official Google source that indicates their involvement.

Also they claimed that John McAfee was being brought on as an adviser, but this seems like a stretch. There are two tweets from McAfee, both on Febrary 1st, and neither one indicates that he would be involved with the project. To be fair one of the tweets was a review of the FreelancerCoin team that said they were qualified and trustworthy, but that report ends with a reminder that even "trustworthy" ICOs can be a huge risk...

I guess my skepticism stems from the fact that there are barely any transactions on ForkDelta, while I'd expect a token with such high profile connections to explode (or at least show signs of interest) right away.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Where did AltMiner.net go? on: March 09, 2018, 11:13:01 PM
So really, this is it... One of the more popular mining pools just vanishes into the night and nobody is talking about it? It's not like it's just down, it's like it never existed.  Huh Crazy times.
Definitely very strange and disappointing. On the plus side, it doesn't seem like they vanished without paying a bunch of people or anything scummy like that. I got a few payouts in the hours before they went offline that were consistent with what I expected. Plus I feel like there'd be a lot more posts about it if people hadn't been getting paid.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of Marijuana-themed Coins on: March 09, 2018, 06:10:11 PM
Weekly Update

Total market cap change: Down 25%

Top 5 changes: Paragon (PRG) moves +1 to #2, HempCoin (THC) moves -1 to #3, CannabisCoin (CANN) moves in to #5, Tokes (TKS) moves out of the top 5

Development changes: None

As Bitcoin continues to waver, alts have not been able to stage a significant recovery and marijuana coins are no exception. A couple of the biggest marijuana coins experienced the bulk of the total loss. Interestingly the only coin in the top 5 that managed to maintain a gain over the past week was Paragon, which is also the token that's being subjected to a lawsuit in america. If anyone reading this took part in the Paragon ICO or has purchased their token recently, I would love to hear your thoughts about how the lawsuit affected your purchase decision (if it affected it at all).

News updates coming later tonight/over the weekend
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] paccoin a new SHA256D coin is being introduced on: March 09, 2018, 06:05:31 PM
This coin isn't suspicious at all lol

Gotta love that $96 mil to $33 bil jump. Seems totally legit!
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You will be " rich ", potential coins 2018 on: March 08, 2018, 06:08:29 PM
UFO is in a great position for people to buy in. They just released a new update with SegWit and HD keys, and plenty more coming over the next few months. They're also currently undergoing a rebranding effort as they get ready to get listed on major exchanges once again. Currently going for ~20 sat, but that's not going to last very long.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] FreelancerCoin [LAN] A blockchain freelancing platform on: March 08, 2018, 03:49:05 PM
Got my tokens for the Bounty campaign. Thank you. Which exchanges plan to launch the sale of the token first?

Forkdelta, isn't it? Or was it etherdelta? Although etherdelta is quite unstable these days, take a good time to fully loading
It's listed on ForkDelta, though it looks like no transactions have been made yet: https://forkdelta.github.io/#!/trade/LAN-ETH

You'd think a project that announced ties to Google and John McAfee would start moving right away...
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Where did AltMiner.net go? on: March 07, 2018, 08:10:18 PM
Interesting. Looks like someone posted a link to a paste that's supposedly from AltMiner (though not sure that can be confirmed):

Well, yeah - we're down. Not hacked, on complete own purpose.
=======================================================================
This was a test project. We wanted to learn new stuff, get known to new people and just wanted to see where it goes. We have our reason for the shutdown - there is still a life outside of crypto guys!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
What did we learn?

* Trust no one ;-)

* MOST mining pool operators are to dump to run a pool. If you want a reliable pool operated by persons who know what they do switch over to yiimp, zpool or unimining. Pickle Rick. All others are crap, indeed most of them were trained by us & redirected all their questions to us!

* If a pool offers much less then 1% fee -> SCAM! Servers cost money. Transactions cost money. Operating costs money. Just calculate if it is better to have a 0.1% lower fee - or a stable pool. If you miss one hour of mining on a pool with 0.1% lower fee you will loose 5% of your income! Only because you cared about 0.1%?!

* Miners are greedy and don't notice if anybody scams them. Proof?
  - Some "random" ^_^ pool: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/lux/address.dws?LL6vvQxQSTjp5d1Yf4NT2Lfwf6qyBKngdD.htm
  - Total received 64619 LUX
  - With 1% fee (this pool had lower fee then 1%) this should make around 646 LUX on fees.
  - Guess what? ONE(!) of their topia addresses is in this transaction https://chainz.cryptoid.info/lux/tx.dws?356941.htm
  - And whoops, this topia address has already received 1030 LUX?
  - Of course, they will now argue "it is because we are mining to this address etc...". Just look at the transaction, you notice fairly quick which are mining and which are other transactions. Have fun finding their other cryptopia addresses - there are more.
  - Next proof: https://imagebin.ca/v/3u2xyW4KQpNB
  - Yep, orange balance goes down without blue balance going up... This miner lost 7 GBX. For sure they will now tell "we have compensated him etc...". Miners, look at your graphs and understand how this stuff works! Don't get scammed by people who don't understand how to run a pool.

Real hugs fly out to the following persons who are _really_ fair-minded:
- Antonio Moratti
- oliveskin
- phm
- tpruvot
- hewwo
- whywefight
- zpool

Wait for it. We will be back.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Where did AltMiner.net go? on: March 07, 2018, 04:03:52 PM
I've been mining on altminer.net for a couple months now and never had any problems. Today however I noticed my miners couldn't connect and when I went to check my balance I got a "This site can't be reached" error. It looks like their Twitter, @altminer_net, has also been deleted. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Looks like their BCT profile was active earlier today too, but no posts since March 1st.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of Marijuana-themed Coins on: March 06, 2018, 06:07:36 PM
great to see you put all the eggs in one basket personally i am thinking of bagging some PRG
I'd be interested to hear what makes you want to invest in their project while they are being hit with a lawsuit in America. I'm not saying you shouldn't invest, but the lawsuit just seems like a big glaring mark against them that turns me away (sort of like BitConnect).
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UFO] UNIFORM FISCAL OBJECT | CORE 0.12 RELEASED! on: March 06, 2018, 06:03:58 PM
Bounty Prize

500 000 UFO
That's one helluva prize Shocked Time to hit the drawing board!

Couple quick questions though: Will we be allowed to submit multiple designs? Also, when you say "A new artistic direction is required with the main focus on the letter 'U'" does that mean you want to move away from the spaceship image?
